Pig, Hag, and Wraith are the only killers I can imagine becoming survivors.
-
In this situation no. In others it's a bad strategy.
-
They don't expect it. But I still break my totems because for me, most of the people that I play against that have Insta down abilities are usually pretty bad.

Please, I have 4k'd against some of the "best" SWF stacks in the game. Monto's squads, the "depip squad", and many other full rank 1 lobbies with multiple streamers in them.
The "depip squad" was the most satisfying of them all because they actually disconnected against me, which I found hilarious. Tombstone myers will do that though.
When I see SWF is when I break out the mori's, tombstones, beads spirit, etc etc. It's a different game but I can assure you that camping is still an integral part of it.
In fact my favorite tactic years ago used to be just facecamping hooks with wraith an a mori, the second they get unhooked bam mori. Not BT procs, no DS procs, and with a good angle they can't bodyblock your hit at all. Just instant death. Try it sometime.
Ghostface does exactly the same thing, and it works against any SWF group almost just as well unless they are all running object of obsession.
Ok you can stop now. We already see what type of player you are. It's already clear
-
Ignore it. There's always another match. Punishing it won't do anything about it but reward you with a false victory.
-

It doesn't need to be more fair to survivors though.
Explain your reasoning.
-
700-1000 I played it just for the memes and after I finished a generator I got lagged out the match.
-
Every Auto haven map either has a lifetime supply of pallets or are completely dry of them. Getting a great amount of pallets on one is RNG.

102 seconds or 1 Minutes and 42 seconds pause. 3 survivors in 16m range.
That's a long time ya know.
Imagine the stalling you could do for the last gen in a group with comms.
Especially considering it still stops the timer, regardless of camping. Last second saves.
It doesn't stack.
-
@Attackfrog said:
I'll still camp through it. When I camp, the timer becomes irrelevant. I'd camp all day if survivors keep running around the hook.
It's a long timer that won't hurt camping but certainly helps that last second save on the hook. Pretty sure that was it's intended use.
This state just gives the hooked survivor an extra minute and a half of unfun playtime until next match if killer camps it.
5-10 seconds would make more sense. With coordinated SWF...imagine the nightmare for killers.
All you gotta do is just leave the hook if your gonna complain about it so much before it's even fully released.

Although i don't like to tunnel as killer, it's a quite effective strategy for most weaker killers and even needed for the effect of "Dying Light". It's sometimes very annoying for survivors tho.
Tunneling: Ignoring every other survivor while going against one survivor till he's dead.
Dying Light is a bad perk especially with the recent obsession changes. I don't get why they just don't rework it.
-
I have 8 I feel like. I have no idea honestly cause there really unexpected.
-
Wiggling off the killers shoulder increases their running movement speed by 150% for a certain amount of seconds?
-
Don't complain about something you died to when it only happened once and isn't a common occurrence. Please and thank you.☺

Oof. F's in chat for the new guy running into his first Mori.
Real talk though, as broken as Mori's are, they are really cool animations and sometimes fun to watch. I promise you it isn't going anywhere.
There not that cool honestly. If they were much more detailed and gory it'd be a lot better.
-
I don't care, same if someone has hacked legacy or hacked cosmetics in general. I'll only report if your cheating/exploiting

@DwikeyMain84 said:
went ahead and read your whiny post and if you really out did the killer so much for all 5 gens etc etc then why are you complaining? you guaranteed your team got away at least, geez you ain't gonna survive every match gtfo it
Can you do anything else but take things so seriously. I read half way through your post and it literally was just a bunch of unnecessary whining. You must be such a boring killer/survivor to play with.
-
You possibly could've looked for the noed and then go and save but yeah, you couldn't do much

I mean if they feel this strongly about it then I don't see why not. Plenty of people have Mori lists for this exact purpose. I personally don't have a Mori list because I don't give a #########, but for those that DO give a ######### such as the OP it's an option and qualifies as a consequence.
Isn't a Mori list bannable though. Thats a question I've always wondered.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Altruism is altruism because you don't have to do it.
The consequences for him not unhooking you is a lower Altruism score.
I'd suggest putting him on a Mori list and moving on until you see them again, at which point you Mori them if you are Killer.
Technically this game is not a team game since everyone has a similar but slightly different wincon (my wincon is for me to survive, your wincon is for you to survive, your wincon is not for me to survive), so he is under no obligation to be helpful to the other survivors.
Is he being a dick? Yes. Should you respect him as a person? No. Does this call for direct punishment beyond what I've already mentioned? No.
Putting them on a Mori list? Isn't that quite pathetic? In the end it's just a game and there's always other matches. No need to ruin someone's game because they chose to not do what you please.
-
Those killers must be terrible if there getting mad at you for cleansing totems to prevent their NOED. Something a lot of killers complain about survivors not doing
-
I can't blame them for DC'ing. Rank 6 killer matches with rank 20
I got a match against a rank 1 hillbilly and we were all rank 14-12

@NuclearBurrito said:
Yeah and ######### is up with "have fun = win".
Wins are a statistic that serve a vital purpose in game design. Specifically they are the metric that determines power and effectiveness, and thus also the metric that determines a players ability in the game. The better player is always the player that wins more often when trying.
Imagine playing league of legends. If you have fun but your base is destroyed then do you win? If so why does the screen say defeat? If not then why is DBD any different? They both have a defined goal and tools to achieve that goal and progression based rewards depending on arbitrary criteria that are technically related to that goal but aren't themselves the goal.
And wincons sometimes have real stakes behind them. If I'm hosting a DBD tournament then who moves up the bracket? The answer to that question is what the wincon is. If you say a win = fun then that means you are saying that if you were to host a tournament the team which has more fun is the team which advances.
In fact, wincons are so important to how a game functions that if you showed me 2 games with identical mechanics but different wincons I'd say that they are distinct games and should be evaluated independently of each other and one would need to be balanced in completely different ways than the other.
For example lets say the Survivors wincon was instead of escaping:
"Get the most Bloodpoints"
Suddenly:
WGLF is a must take perk due to being able to double your score and put it above what would otherwise be the best possible score (and thus give you a MASSIVE advantage).
Using Bond in order to sandbag would be a critical part of the gameplay.
Deadhard would be outclassed by Sprint Burst due to SB letting you get to a Hook faster thus giving you the unhook points before the other Survivors would be able to.
Hook farming becomes a dominant strategy due to removing other Survivors also preventing them from getting BP and potentially beating you.
All Killers would suddenly become busted due to Survivors actively sabotaging themselves and would need to be rebalanced.
Wut?
-
@Judgement Maybe because it's a obvious answer as to why it shouldn't be added so much, that I shouldn't have to explain it
-
No.

Yeah ok, but I guess killers DCing because THEY can't accept defeat and make it so survivors get NO bloodpoints is fine.
I guess DCing against a SWF team is fine.
It goes both ways buddy, survivors aren't the bad guys, killers aren't the good guys 😂
Wdym? Survivors get bloodpoint after a killer D.C. and a Pip if you gained brought points.

I'd expect noed on every killer except billy nurse spirit and legion.
Expect it on Spirit, well the bad ones. The ones I always play against.
-
A Streamer has over 1K Ebony Moris on his Billy
-
Thats pretty understandable since you've only been playing for a week.
-
Probably gonna do some KYF, play as killer with BBQ, Distressing, BPS, and farm with survivors or just not play at all🙃

Yeah, most SWF groups are afraid of a challenge. They want to make sure they don't get matches with randoms who are bad, want to use voice comms for an advantage, and want to coordinate the best perks with instant heals, keys, and flashlight saves.
Or they could just be a group of friends wanting to have fun against a random player and try to survive?
-
They probably got fed up and just dipped. Better than them cussing you out.
-
@ItsYourBoyGuzma said:
why would you listen to the community to dictate your playstyle?
Play to win and winning is fun.
Besides who cares if those ST fans leave or dislike the community after getting backhand game after game.
People didnt care for those who complained about how hard Dark Souls was why should this scenario be any different.
They just need to get good.
Because thats how people work. If you do something someone doesnt like there gonna complain about it whether it matters or not. And there is people out there who truly just play this game to ruin the enjoyment. And thats a big issue with this game and people will leave just because of that, and no one enjoys playing a dead game. Take that into consideration please.
-
Most survivors arent confident while being injured, thats why they run Self Care. Or other survivors rather do a healing build and revive their team instead of distracting the killer, or focussing on the main objective. As long as you arent a Meg or Kate self caring in the corner of the map while your teaming is dropping like flies, its fine.
-
Stopped reading after you saying you have to slug.
-
Its cool, but what the purpose of having a increased Movement Speed and terror radius, its not like the game still has pallet suck.
-
Enjoy your trip.
-
A Broken Wrist. It was terrible hearing the bone crack especially.
-
I'd take the game less seriously.

Do you seriously think pressing space to vault and pallet and running in circles makes you skilled and good? Shut up.
In this game it does, whats your point

If Hag got changed I'd switch to Billy

And trash Survivors whine about Killers being OP because they want free escapes every game.
Legion was nerfed into the garbage because of Survivor whining.
Nurse is being 'looked at' because of Survivor Whining.
And Survivors are already complaining about Spirit & priming the ground for Hillbilly nerfs, of all people.
It goes both ways, kiddo.
Legion was changed because he was killing the game's health. If he was the same up to now the majority of the playerbase would be cut into half and no one enjoys playing a dead game and by far he is the worst killer to be released due to that.
And no, Nurse is not being looked at. Her add-ons are being looked at, and her base power is slightly being changed.
-
So your saying I'm not a good survivor if I'm able to loop a killer for five generators, every game, and then get caught? Shut Up.
-
@NoShinyPony Agreed. You can play perfectly fine during the match and just get instantly downed and mori from a perk. Atleast Noed is able to be removed
-
I liked old Borrowed Time more, but this one was fine
-
Rancor shouldn't even exist.
-
I want a casual outfit for Meg. Like a flannel shirt, a small necklace and a pair of ripped jeans, with white sneakers.
-
@Locker_Monster said:
You say that like it's only Killers.
I once downed someone; First find of the match. I chased them & downed them because
1) No gens were popping
2) I did not see anyone else.
They DC'd almost the SECOND they went into Dying state. Like, they must have had a friend ready to pull the plug for them.
They found my steam account, added me, and proceeded to claim they'd get me steam banned, and that I was tunneling, a tryhard, sweaty, a fat nolife out to ruin people's fun. It was rapid fire IM's over the course of 10 minutes while I just cackled.
Both sides can be toxic jerks, not just Killers.
That wasn't the OP. They were stating that killers seem "easily pissed off" not "killers are always pissed off"
And they were mainly talking about killers here not survivors
-
Shut Up.
