  • Gen repair speed isn't the problem, it's map design that's the problem. The change to ruin is a good change, or it would be if half the maps weren't the size of a continent, making killers like Huntress and Clown hate their lives.

  • I agree that it promotes more interaction between survivor and killer, but it wasn't the problem anyway.

Map design and map size are the biggest problem the game has and they haven't really done anything to fix that. Whenever I play as a less mobile killer (Huntress, Pig, Clown, Myers, Plague etc...) I have a 50/50 chance of getting a map that I can actually travel across in less time than a gen gets completed.

  • If you get baited by that all the time then you should really get to know Hillbilly more. That shouldn't get you every single time, it's very easy to tell when they're going to do this.

  • Throwing around a lot of buzzwords here. I haven't seen a lot of posts about survivors complaining about the EGC. I've seen more posts about toxicity, SWFs and DCing than EGC...it's not the cool thing to complain about yet

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Neither Killer is toxic. Freddy is also not OP in any means. But highly boring to play against in my opinion, because he is kinda braindead. Pallets are braindead by themselves, the Sleep Mechanic is kinda meh (either you go into Sleep automatically or when you get hit, making waking up for chases not really worth it (but overall it is worth it, for the teleport)) and with his Snares he is basically "reverse-bloodlusting" instead of just breaking a Pallet.

    But thats just my opinion.

Its also the fact that stacking slowdown add-ons and perks is what every Freddy seems to run. I play Freddy with mostly chase and tracking perks like BBQ, whispers, Nurse's and the brown slowdown add-on, and games go at a decent pace if the survivors are aggressive with gens and play it properly. Not many people seem to mind that kind of playstyle with him (but I will agree that he is still disgustingly good for the amount of effort required to play him)

  • Honestly even if they weren't patrolling the hooks I would have let them die anyway. They were t-bagging the afk killer, they 100% deserve to die for that when they could have just escaped. Just ignore morons like that, they deserved what they got.

I could care less about fame or what most this toxic community thinks about my post. This is the forums, and I have the right to post complaints about ACTUAL issues in the game. That's what the forums are for, not attacking people and being a moron. I guess I'm the first person ever to complain about swf's and the sound bug, right? These problems just don't exist. The game is perfect, right? The problem is you don't realize more and more people are doing the same as me, or just going to survivor, and you wonder why the que times take forever. But that's just a coincidence right? There's no shortage of killers because of the bs balance, matchmaking, and sound issue. I play on ps4. We (killers)suffer enough as is, but the sound bug is literally game breaking. Ive been playing for over 2 years, and I've seen little to no improvement to consoles version of this game. Everytime a new update comes out, it seems to break the game even more...

You do have a right to post about complaints, but whining about the same thing everyone else whines about isn't very productive. But about SWFs, if they're really stomping you in most of your games maybe the problem lies with your gameplay and not the SWF 'try hard' squads, who are probably just outplaying you because they're better at the game.

  • I think if DS were to have no time limit but to deactivate if another survivor gets hooked and/or once the endgame collapse starts that may work. So then the perk would literally punish tunneling and not killers who play nice but are punished for doing so. It could still be a good perk but would probably fall out of the meta, and perks like we'll make it and second wind might be used more.

  • Well we haven't seen this topic discussed to death so let's do it some more...it's not cheating. It just isn't. The argument you should be making here is that it's an advantage over a solo survivor and it is, but it's not as overpowered as people make it out to be. If they're a good enough killer they will still do pretty well against a swf sweat squad. You almost never see those kinds of squads around and there's no real way of knowing if they are anyway. There are times where you have to take an L and move on, because you likely would've lost even if they weren't on comms.

  • I did this once, then I actually put on the challenge. Got it as Freddy yesterday with agitation and fire up only. I played like a bit of a scumbag but thankfully none of them DCed. Maybe they realised at the end that I was going for it and I'm really happy they didn't DC like almost every other time I've tried this challenge.

  • If they're getting to other loops, then that means they're likely gonna waste more pallets, making your job really easy in the endgame when there's no pallets left and you get easy downs. You could also play a killer that uses traps or one that doesn't care about loops. Or run Zanshin Tactics. There's a lot in the game to help you get better at looping survivors (unless you get a map like Thompson House in which case there's really not much you can do)

  • The only change I want to DS is for it to not activate if a person is unhooked during the EGC (not when exit gates are POWERED, when they are OPENED). That way there's a reason for 99ing the doors, giving the endgame a tiny bit more strategy. Should also be able to tell who has DS on the survivor side which would help with this whole strategy bit when playing solo.

  • Or just play your own game because people are going to continue doing these things no matter what? T-bagging is not a problem, it's only a problem when the person getting tbagged makes it one and it really shouldn't get to them but it does all the time in this game for some reason. If people have holes in their gameplay, get salty or even tbag because they're feeling themselves and wanna be cocky that's their problem, not your problem.

  • People running straight to the storehouse window, coal tower window, house of pain on haddonfield etc the INSTANT they're spotted. It's just so annoying to see it happen.

Or, you know, sprint burst. It's easily the most annoying perk to go against because survivors can just sit on a gen til the last minute and then sprint burst away and there's nothing you can do about it

  • Well you would've probably depipped anyway because of your addons. I know that's not the main focus of the post but when you bring a build with the intention of having literal 5second chases you won't get many chaser points.

  • It's actually sort of noticeable though. But it only works on pallet fast vaults and window fast vaults if I'm remembering the table I saw of this correctly.

  • Everyone has said this already but literally just ignore it. Or hide it. You have the means of blocking every single one of your profiles from comments and DMs so do it if you can't handle mean words.

  • The reason why you find these abilities unfun is BECAUSE you're new. Nurse I can see why you'd say that. Wraith is very add-on dependent and without windstorm and his bugged lunge he's even worse than he was before. Hillbilly and cannibal the solution is to just git gud at using the chainsaw and not bump into things (a tip with Bubba is only hold forward and move your mouse and not move left or right). When you know how to read scratchmarks and listen out for survivors spirit's power can be used by anyone with half a brain cell and win with it.

The solution here is really to just learn the game more. I'm fairly experienced with killer but when I tried playing hillbilly and nurse for the first time (like a few weeks ago) I was trash with these killers but quickly learned and adapted to their powers and now hillbilly is one of the killers I have the most fun with

Name one other game that a new player has to wait 20 to 40 minutes in between every 15 minutes of playing. Hint, there isn't any. Dbd is definitely the worst.

You clearly haven't played any fighting games on PC, or rather fighting games on PC that have no crossplay support.

  • So you're telling me that if I try and flop around like a fish on the ground it's LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE for the killer to kill me?

Why have we never thought of this anti-mori tech before?!

  • There are things in haddonfield, Thompson House and other maps that are completely busted and horrible to run survivors on, and yamaoka has a pretty bad visibility problem and weird jungle gyms, but overall I don't despise any of those maps as much as Ormond. It's just bad. Poor scratch mark visibility, awful loops and structures that make you hate your life and it's huge. If I'm playing a killer like Huntress or Amanda the game's over in 5 minutes because you simply can't even get to the gens fast enough to stop them from popping.

  • @The_Second_Coming said:

I would feel bad for you, if you weren't a Nurse, with ruin, and other extremely meta perks (noteably, ruin, on Nurse. OOF), and the survivors had perks that were actually game changing. They didn't.

Basically, if you lost to them, as a Nurse, with ruin, BBQ and Nurses Calling...I don't think it's the games fault, no matter the rank. You had a significant advantage.

You can run Ruin on nurse and still lose. You realise that rank 12s aren't going to be the best at Nurse, especially since her changes hurt new Nurse players a LOT. I ran Ruin at first because I was trying to get better at her and practice, and I wanted to be in games for longer than 5 minutes while doing so.

You can run baby Nurses for 10 minutes straight and not get hit once.

  • A facecamping Bubba should only get 1 sacrifice max. Just know that if they do it they're guaranteeing a depip and you're likely gonna pip from it (unless you're the one who gets hooked first in which case.... unlucky)

  • All they need to do to massively improve the yamaoka maps is to get rid of the stupid grass clusters. Or bamboo whatever they are. The jungle gyms are also pretty dumb but I can live with them as long as the map is less stressful on the eyes

  • Her playstyle is boring and I'm also not a fan of the camera being so low to the ground

  • Until they change ebony moris to be less bs, people will DC against them because of how most killers play when they have a Mori: hook, then tunnelled, then Mori them. A literal waste of time for the survivors since you get no BP and depip anyway so why not DC. I don't but I get it. They seriously need to change ebony moris to only work after a survivor's who are on death hook sooner rather than later. I wouldn't hate moris at all if the ebony one worked like that (the green one I can kinda live with, and the Mori that lets you kill the last survivor alive should be base for killers imo)

  • At this point I feel like setting up a DbD forum bingo for posts like these.

  • Balanced landing is still ok but it's not worth running. Sprint burst is just the best exhaustion perk now especially now dead hard is a buggy mess of a perk.

  • So....you camp because people say bad things to you so you decide to take it out on innocent people, and make them hate you as well, creating a perpetual cycle because you haven't even considered the idea of blocking the people who send you hate mail or just setting your messages settings to private? Play however you want, but if you camp and make the game suck for others expect hate in return because I highly doubt you're getting THIS much hate for playing a fair game.

  • It would likely do the opposite. There'll be less people playing each mode which leads to even loner queue times and dividing the community. And knowing what killer it is before you even start the match takes away the last shred of excitement starting a match has. A ban phase would also not make any sense at all and would make the game very boring, since survivors and killers will ban the same perks every single time.

  • Nurse is fine. She isn't being talked about because the changes were big, and if there's one thing human beings can't stand...

She is still the best killer in the game, she's just not an easy one to pick up and learn anymore and that's fine. You're punished for not knowing how to blink properly as well as incorrectly reading survivor movements and I like that. It's your fault that you didn't make the right play (unless your blinks bug out, making it impossible to blink twice for the rest of the match it's my favourite bug) and the cooldown is fine considering she still has the most powerful ability in the game.

  • You want to gut his demon dash even more? No. Just no. He's in a bad enough state right now, he doesn't need any more nerfs. It's already too easy for survivors to dodge his M2.

  • I....what...ok so I think you're saying that the undetectable status effect is a problem in a sense that it gives killers a free hit? Well in terms of Stealth killers that's all they're gonna get before they get taken round the entire map in an attempt to get the second hit. While I can agree to some extent that it's not really skillful as someone like GhostFace or Wraith to just run up to a gen and smack someone that's really all they're gonna get. You can almost always get to a loop or safe pallet after the first hit and every stealth killer can get looped to oblivion (no idea why a certain someone says wraith doesn't get looped but he definitely does)

  • Ebony moris need to change. Maybe if it let you kill X amount of survivors when Y amount of gens are completed...

2 gens done - can kill 1 survivor

3 gens done - can kill up to 2...and so on. If there's one person left in a match they can always be killed by your hand. And there would be an icon on the bottom right with a counter that shows how many people can be killed. That was my idea anyway. It'd feel more like a comeback mechanic than a free win mechanic.

  • Well, killers get penalised for camping and tunnelling by getting less gatekeeper score and less chase score. It's not "efficient, requires no thought or skill, but people will do it anyway because they just want to be an ass and you really can't stop that. There's also no real way to compensate survivors who are getting tunnelled. Either try to make yourself a less inviting target somehow or hope they pick you up while DS is active.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

........... or you accept that there are maps that are better for either side, stick around in the game, gain some BP and NOT make 2-4 other people hate you. Just saying.

A match could easily turn around for a Survivor team if they have that one last person there, even if it's to occupy time being hooked and disabling a hook, or even something like taking the killer's mori adds a couple of seconds to everyone else's life expectancy. Who knows! You might even just safety-pip.

I agree with you, but there are very few times where I'll just DC because it's not worth it. Hyperdoc on the game is literally unwinnable. Huntress on haddonfield isn't worth it either

  • I would like to see maps like Thompson House become less survivor sided and also maps like Hawkins to become less killer sided but idk when that's gonna happen. Some maps like The Game just need complete reworks to make it less of a frustration filled mess for everyone that isn't daddy Myers and his scratched mirror.

  • For trapper and hag, the first few gens going IS the setup time. It's what you sign up for when you play these killers and a mapwide corrupt intervention wouldn't even be that useful for them since they can't cover every gen with their traps in the first place

  • Having him move as fast or faster than survivors while revving would be broken as hell. An idea I had was to let him barrel through pallets with his chainsaw and keep going, or he gets a small speed boost (Like 2%) while moving with his chainsaw everytime he bonks into a wall or breaks a pallet, and the speed resets when he downs someone with it (Maybe a token system too, a max of 4 tokens at base, and can increase the number of tokens with addons.)

  • @FogLurker said:

Hopefully you have some really thick skin.

Your skin doesn't even need to be that thick, it's just everyone else has no skin at all.

  • The killer adept achievements should be a 4k and nothing else. It's kind of insane how it expects you to double pip as some of the killers with their perks. For killers like wraith and Huntress it's essentially telling you to play perfectly using no perks

  • GhostFace and Hag are the best, plague's is probably third imo. I really like the ######### slap at the end of her Mori after she fills you with her vomity goodness

  • To say it's competitive is also asinine. There's a bit of both in dbd, it's a lot like smash.

  • That's a hitbox and Oni problem. Hitboxes because duh but also Oni's lunge looks weird. His katana looks a lot smaller than it actually is since he's such a big bulky boi, so his animation looks a little off imo.

  • @ohheyitsbobcat said:

I always end up overthinking things at red rank. I'm assuming every killer has 2000IQ and so I make dumb plays because I think they're going to do something crazy to counter my better option and I end up dead in 2 seconds because they just walk up and smack me. -_-

Sometimes the best mindgame is no mindgame at all ;)

  • Well to start you are green rank and are against 2 reds and a purple so the odds are sort of skewed in their favour already. If survivors don't see ruin they will hammer out gens like nothing unless you can get early game pressure going (for Pig you need to get people trapped and create pressure like that).

Another tip is to go to the opposite side of the map as soon as you start the match because survivors will always be there.

And, Spirit and nurse are better than every other killer because their powers are better than every other killer. Spirit with her mInDgAmEs and nurse being the noclip queen.

  • Iridescent head is legit broken. It's just throw, slug, repeat two more times then down the last one. GG you got outplayed by something that you literally couldn't predict would happen nor can counter if the Huntress player has at least half a brain and a mouse that works.

  • @NMCKE said:

Oh yeah, I definitely agree with your thread title because this has been happening to me a lot recently. 😕

Typically, when I play as Nurse, I 4K with ease.

However, most survivors I face don't take the loss and wanna blame it on something such as Lag Switching. Then I get false reported by the entire survivor team (SWF) or that survivor false reports me, which is annoying because I didn't do anything. 🤷‍♂️😭

This happens 2 in every 7 games I play, if you're curious!

Those reports don't do #########. You're probably aware of that fact already but take their salt as a win and don't get sad over it. Feed on their salt.

Huntress, demo, hag, myers, and plague? Weak? What?

You literally said plague’s vomit is weak which is just beyond wrong. You’re literally one shottable all game unless you cleanse which makes her even stronger.

Demo’s ability is great in chases and can be used to bait pallets/windows and his portals are great for map control.

Hag is amazing if you play her correctly, she has constant map control and can basically face camp without being there.

Huntress is amazing and doesnt need any tweaks at all, maps are the only thing that weaken her, the killer herself does not need buffs at all.

Myers has no trouble getting out of tier 1, if you do i don’t know what to tell you except you’re the problem. He probably has the most snowball capability out of any killer.

This whole thread is a yikes.

Bigg dicc terror radius Myers with perma tier 3 and infectious is funny af but also pretty good. Snowballing is basically always gonna happen if the gates aren't powered. Doesn't do much for your rank but all of Myers' interesting builds punish you for playing them anyway lmao
