Some people don’t want to let go of the past I guess. Back when Tru3 was starting to show that Wraith is a good Killer like he did with Ghostface, so many people were against it. They couldn’t accept that Wraith wasn’t garbage. I’m glad that more people are seeing that Wraith isn’t the steaming pile of trash that people think he is.
Sure he's good when you play him like tru3 does...which is all about the hit-and-run, using the most expensive add-ons and taking away as much interaction the survivor has with you as possible. Incredibly boring. Without windstorm or a clapper he's not the best. With windstorm and a chase build I think he's definitely a very average killer, I run endfury on him because it's much more fun slamming into pallets and not giving a ######### than it is hitting and running.
-
"hey why do you complain when I farm you off the hook because you're helpless and have no defences at this point in time?"
-
I use BBQ, Enduring, Monitor and I'm All Ears/Brutal Strength/Infectious (Last one can be basically anything). Imo I think she's a bit overrated in terms of how fun she is, her crouch and ambush gimmicks are cool but they get old imo, and there's nothing to her RBTs. You just put them on and forget about them. Still though, she benefits from a more aggressive playstyle because of trap RNG, which is why I don't run slowdown perks on her . I'm just relying on the traps to do their job lmao
-
I enjoy playing this build a lot but going against it is....eh? When I first started playing it was fun because I had no idea what I was doing and getting jumpscared by him was really fun and kept me on the edge of my seat. But now that whole shock factor has mostly worn off, and the gimmick of always knowing where you are isn't that fun. I like getting chased more as a survivor than not and scratched mirror Myers isn't about that chasing life so there isn't much interaction going on. But it's hardly an overpowered build, and I know that the killer's having a lot of fun so it's all good imo.

It's extremely weird to me that the devs completely ignore my posts. Not a single statement about that if they will look into it, considered it, planning it or not doing it. Just radio silence. This bugs me the most with bhvr. Because turning off this option is a nobrainer to me.
Have you tried posting in the feedback section of the forums? There's a lot of broken records in there and dumb posts but it has more of a chance getting some attention in there instead of in general.
-
Thank God people like you exist. I'm also on the "there's no way it's candyman" train. I don't see how a moderately successful movie with 2 terrible sequels in the 90s makes a franchise iconic or even a "classic". I'm just hoping for something big this chapter, and something that hasn't been spoiled 2 weeks before release
-
It's almost like people on these forums blow this way out of proportion and make a bigger deal out of it than they need to...hmm
-
So your definition of fun is 0 interaction with the survivors...you might as well not play the game at this point.

To me, that's the more compelling piece of evidence.
It's just way too obvious for me to take this tweet seriously so I'm gonna say it's a bait and the killer isn't candyman. Wouldn't make sense to confirm their next DLC so early, especially one so unpopular.

Wdym, Doc may have been buffed at some point but already many people have been complaining about how Doc's powers passively do the job. So it would be logical that the Doc will get nerfed at some point no?
Eh, people are only complaining because he's being played more and I don't think BHVR will give into the complaining this time. He was able to do the same stuff he does now since release, just less effectively. Now that he's a killer with an actual power people are having a rough time. I love playing against Doctor...no idea why but I just do. That being said...High stimulus electrode with Discipine - Class 3 or Carter's Notes is actually kind of busted and it's the only thing that should probably be looked at imo. Everything else is perfectly fine. He's a strong killer, not too oppressive, pretty fun to play as and against and I've always had a huge interest in "mad scientist" themes and characters.

Except people would think it's Huntress.
Look at every Killer; each one is vastly different from another. I'm not blowing smoke; this is a legit design choice when making a game like this.
Hell, TF2 did it with every class; they each look so vastly different that you know which is which on an almost subconscious level after playing for awhile.
The devs here, at least how I see it, want Survivors to know, from the quickest glance, which Killer is hunting them. Plus, it looks intimidating.
And if they make a Killer too 'Survivor-like', then their motions have to be exaggerated. It's all part of designing a character.
Boi if you think it'd be difficult to tell the difference between Jack Torrance and any of the survivors...or Jack Torrance and The Huntress...

Lmao, good point, Doc was bound to be nerfed either way, so I just wanted to praise him before he would get nerfed thats all.
He's had nothing but buffs since his rework though? What gave you the indication that the devs are gonna nerf Doctor...
-
The last 2 killers to come out have been good though? Deathslinger and Oni are 2 of the best killers in the game, Plague, Demo and Doctor 2.0 are also decent. The only bad killer we got in 2019 and 2020 so far is GhostFace
-
Meh, about the same. The bad spots in otherwise good maps have been changed, and the bad maps like Ormond and Haddonfield are still bad, if not even worse than before.
-
To play as or play against? Guess I'll do both
Most fun to play as and against is probably Demo. His chases and ability never get boring, his music slaps and, come on it's a ######### Demogorgon.
Least fun is probably Spirit overall. Playing against is just as boring play as her. Unrewarding for guessing right against a spirit and even more unrewarding for having a lair of functional headphones and holding M2 to down a survivor. There's just nothing to her, she needs more tells whilst she's using her power to make her actually compelling and interesting to both play as and against. I would also say Deathslinger but I'm still finding him sort of fun to play as so he's not the worst for me. Plus his chase music and aesthetic are really damn good tbf.
-
The timer isn't the problem with DS. Hell I want the timer to be unlimited but to deactivate if someone else gets hooked (or it THEN counts down once a survivor has been hooked. Maybe 30 seconds?)
-
I can't play killer anymore without shadowborn or monitor on basically everyone. After playing a bunch of FPS games that had actual graphics settings and an FOV greater than my phone's camera at max zoom, then coming back to killer in DbD my eyes literally lose focus a lot of the time. It's nauseating trying to get back into it. 87 degrees is appalling for an FPS. Just let us turn the FOV up by a maximum of 15 degrees in the options menu, it would help a lot of people so much.
-
I've had a bunch of swamp maps today. Started to hate those maps on both sides now. visual clarity was just thrown out the window this patch across the board and the swamp got it the worst. It's so ugly.

If you care in any way about ranking up for some reason then Legion is good for that. And if you wanted to improve your chase game they're also probably the best killer for that too. Without the cooldown add-ons Legion feels pretty crap to play but with them both it feels quite good. It's like windstorm Wraith in that sense. Addonless they're both pathetic but with add-ons they can be quite good. Not particularly great but good enough. I think the base fatigue on frenzy needs toning down by at least a second, and maybe give them the effect of iri button as default too (break pallets by vaulting over them).

you're saying you want enduring to make all stuns less rewarding for the survivors good play? Still at the end of the day if you get unhooked, the killer shouldn't tunnel you and if they do, they get DS'd simple.
Bringing back enduring will make tunneling so much easier, head on would be useless, and pallet stuns would grant you even less distance from the killer.
I don't understand why people don't just eat DS early or just slug and put pressure elsewhere, it's not that hard lol.
Let enduring only affect DS then? And keep head on stun time the same? Because right now enduring doesn't do anything to head on so it wouldn't be too hard to keep it the exception would it? Getting distance from a pallet from a killer who's using enduring only works if you don't make them break the pallet. I see a LOT of survivors stun the killer then make a beeline straight away from the pallet because they always assume the killer will instantly break it, leading to some of the easiest downs.
-
So that means we can officially call it a 2nd chance perk now?

See how well that worked with iri coin eh?/ if you.let a huntress get that close well..you did that to yourself tbh
You're forgetting that with iri coin you have a 3m window to instadown someone as Slinger, and as Huntress you can aim and hit people much further away than 15 metres...

Dwight's just a delightful character and can get away with pretty much anything. I mean, who can stay mad at a Dwight for too long?
A Meg explodes your gen and runs away? What a coward! A Claudette explodes your gen and stealths away? Thanks for screwing me over!
But if a Dwight does it... I don't know.. Probably not his fault! I should protect him if the killer comes! The poor thing just needs some help!
He just has this Good-Boy-Attitude running for him.
And then you run into Dweard armies in red ranks...and your opinions of Dwight players completely change in an instant

-
That is exactly how his portals work yes. And he is a great killer imo, and his shred is the best part about him. It's pretty self-explanatory what it does, and once you understand where to use it, it's really damn strong because the hitbox is deceptively wide. You can basically say ######### you to killer shack, 4 lanes and a couple of other long loops.
-
Did the killer have ruin? How close was the gen to being completed? Was the killer one of those who likes to charge back to the hook the moment someone gets rescued? If the gen is close to being done then she's doing the right thing because you should always assume a killer will make a beeline to wherever they hear a notification.

you just proved my point, why should survivors be punished with a bad hitbox for a killer having bad internet ? surely the killer should swing at mid air and not hit survivors from 5-10+ meters away
Your point was about whether it was latency or hitboxes, not if it was fair that you get hit like that. I was just stating that it's usually a connection issue, and killers also have to have a good connection with the server.

Dodging iri hatchets at a range isn't the problem people have with iri head. It's the fact that they work at point blank and very short range, which is a range where you literally can't dodge a hatchet unless the Huntress has an IQ in the single digits. It's also where you see the majority of iri head downs too. That's not rewarding the killer for being good because anyone can hit a point-blank hatchet, and it's cheap and unfair for the survivor because as soon as they're within breathing distance of the Huntress they're dead because she has 3 portable nukes ready to fire. This is why people want them to only instadown at range, because then the Huntress would actually be rewarded for being good, and the survivor can realistically dodge them.
-
His chases are 1-dimensional. Every Freddy player is the same. Get to a loop, place snares, double back, rinse repeat until downed. It's not very interactive or engaging when they're literally playing with their brain switched off doing the same thing at every medium-short loop. Clown's the same. Throw bottle, double back, eat the pallet, repeat.
-
You think iri head is fine but madness 3 isn't? ....ok? That's not even the thing that's bad about Doctor, the only problem he has is, imo, the purple discipline add-on with the green range add-on. This combo is disgustingly good and honestly discipline's shock therapy delay reduction should be removed or changed.
And I'm sorry but what? Tombstone isn't that good and neither is tuft of hair, even when used together. If Myers is running them both you should be able to hammer out at least 4 gens before he's even close to getting to tier 3. And if he's running tuft of hair then it should be the same kind of scenario. At that point you're just playing against a plague with a slightly better lunge.
As for Freddy, his lunge distance is basically the same as every other killer, it just looks longer because he has to move further than most other killers because he's smaller, and kind of stays on the ground when he lunges. Hag do a sort of leap forward when she lunges so it doesn't look as strange as Freddy lunging.
-
Can you drones give it a rest with this "Then don't DC" crap? It's like you're going out of your way to be as ignorant and unhelpful as possible. OP you should try opening a thread in the technical support section on the forum or contacting someone directly, something only 1 other person actually suggested and it wasn't even the dev. The solution isn't always back and white.
-
As stated above it's a brown add-on so you can run it indefinitely on her if you wanted lmao. It's not 100% reliable all the time (because this is DbD why wouldn't it be) but it will help you if you're just starting out with her.
Should also note that a lot of geometry is super buggy with her. She can't blink up a lot of the stairs in the game, many of the different rocks and cars have wonky collision so blinking through them can be a pain. The add-on should definitely help though. I personally wouldn't want this to be base kit, the marker is way too distracting for me.
-
Well I'd hope they have borrowed time so my ass doesn't get tunnelled to the ground and I can actually resume playing the videogame. If not then it's all good I'll just afk until I get hooked again. Unless it looks like we can still win, then I might carry on playing but usually it's quite obvious early on when you know you're gonna lose.
-
If they weren't fixed in this hotfix they'll be fixed in the next chapter. That's usually how this goes. Remember the old Wraith and Spirit lunge bugs and the time they were fixed? (Idk why I say old, it wasn't even 6 months ago)
-
@Izo_Quartz said:
they should change the buff it gives you. I think a 7% haste that lasts until the exit gates are powered would be nice.
That would be ridiculously overpowered. Combine it with the 2 vault perks, spine chill and resilience and a second health state perk like dead hard and the killer's never gonna catch you. Permanent hope at the beginning of the game until basically at the end would be too strong.

You can’t curve anymore for some reason-so the flick is actually affected when curving too.
You can still definitely curve, it's just not as good. Did you use Q and E before? I know they've changed something with Q and E and controller sensitivity, but I know for sure with the mouse it's still possible, but you simply curve a bit less. It's like there's a "cap" on the amount you can curve now, and it feels awful.

As long as dedicated servers are a thing, Dead hard along with MANY other things in this game will never be 100% functional.

Are you telling me that a person who is good at running the killer NEVER accidentally causes the killer to go after someone who is working on a generator? I love Kindred. I think that if everyone brought in Better Together and 3 people brought Kindred and everyone made sure to complete a single generator on their own before they save anyone from the hook then the team would be unstoppable. The killer can only chase one person at a time unless there is more than one person close to them in which they slug and then go after the other person that was close. If no one cooperated on a generator for the first 3-4 generators and made sure that they stuck on their generator instead of rushing for the hooked survivor or even being close to someone being chased then a killer can't get a 4K.
It rarely happens in my experience. I feel like Better Together is really good on the indoor maps, but on all the outdoor maps survivors can look up and see the generator lights to give them enough info to know not to run there.
-
This really wouldn't do much besides allow survivors to DC on Hawkins and killers to DC on Haddonfield and Ormond...which I'd be all for tbh because ######### those maps, so what the hell, ship it to live!
-
Plague's good, she just suffers at the start of the game and needs to get people sick ASAP. Not necessarily broken, but they need to all be affected by her vile purge quickly. What I usually do is try and puke on at least 1 or 2 survivors before breaking and downing the 3rd one, if I find them all grouped up. If they're not then I'll try and down the first survivor I see as fast as I can. It's all about getting the early momentum going because her early game is terrible and she's good at snowballing near the end of the game. I also don't put much value in her corrupt purge. It's really not as good as people say it is imo. You might get 1 or 2 downs with it quickly but everyone usually hides until it's over. And at a lot of high rock loops etc it's not even useful. It'll cut a chase 1 loop shorter most of the time.
-
Eh, Better Together really isn't that great. In terms of aura reading perks I'd much rather have kindred, empathy or bond. Not worth the slot. And if someone good was running the killer around they would already know where to run and where not to. It's only useful for newer players who don't know the maps, imo.
-
I can't with good conscience recommend someone to spend money on this....thing. Especially now because holy ######### it just keeps getting worse. Maybe once all the big problems get ironed out, and something is done about the grind for new players I might be able to recommend it, because it's definitely a fun party game with friends from time to time.

Take away her bugs, her glitches, and you'll have a B Class Killer at best.
Dunno what you mean by that. If you mean in terms of difficulty? Sure once you learn blink distances and you're not getting ######### over by the game there's not much to her after that except knowing survivor pathing and having good reaction times. But in terms of effectiveness? She's still by far the best killer, fixing all of her bugs will just exaggerate that even more.
