  • Definitely gets rough after 8pm. I try to go out on a high note around this hour.

  • Why is it a conspiracy against you? Like how would these people have any idea what you're doing until the last screen? Just keep at it; you'll get it.

  • Mitch McConnell. Give him an actual tortoise body and 115%. ######### would be terrifying.

  • Ironically, killers have more empathy than the majority of survivors. We are reminded of this anytime a killer drops us at the hatch.

  • Love Hag. Had a basement party just last saturday. I also grabbed two people in about 30 seconds time. That was fun. Cause ya know, who's got time for crouching at the hook. Long live HAGGU

At rank 15 it shouldn't be too difficult, provided you don't get matched with a group of rank 5s or something.

Corrupt Purge actually works quite well for Plague's Adept - better than Vile Purge, in many ways, since the latter tends to lose you Malicious points for not getting enough hits. However, it's generally a bad idea to use your free fountain at the very start of the game. Ordinarily, you would wait until all survivors are broken to use it, but since you don't actually want survivors to necessarily be broken for emblems (at least at first), I would suggest picking up Corrupt while in a chase, if a survivor leads you near the fountain. That way, you can use it right away and you don't waste time going to get it.

In general, if you do use Vile Purge, you want to make sure you hit a survivor before they get broken from infection, so you get two hits per chase instead of just one. Slugging a lot and letting their teammates rescue them might also help you to get more hits, if you're doing well enough that you can afford not to hook them. I'm sure a more experienced Plague could give you more and better tips, these are just the ones I remember from when I went for the Plague Adept myself.

Ok so you're saying don't go the huntress route (for the trophy) and m2 into an m1, but instead go for m1 hits right off the bat and then start puking? I am total baby plague.

Any add ons you guys favor over others?

  • So it sounds like this is pretty doable at rank 15? I won't have to avoid using fountains or anything?

Does anyone use the fountains at the beginning? Gonna try adept plague today, but I've never played as her.

  • At least this can be done relatively quickly. I played at least 6 survivor matches last night and only ended up with 10/15 cleansed totems. My fault tho. Teammates were rough and i had to play hero nearly every game. All this for a whopping 15k bps? Im too easily distracted i supose.

I still like doing these challenges. Even though aiming for them seemingly gives the opposition a bit of an edge.

  • Beeee my victim.. I'm all for this.

    An actual 80's/90's horror franchise.

Silent Hill was just a niche ps1 game. You might as well have a resident evil dog or the talking toaster from deadly premonition.

  • I saw that I was rank 8 survivor with no pips on monday, so I decided to play as laurie with just OoO and a flashlight.

I'm usually a more passive teammate, but i ran this doctor around for 4 gens and still black pipped. Damn near pipped. Loaded another match, and didn't do as 'well' against a legion.

I guess I'll be rank 13 today. My magic number is 5? I guess it was worth it but eh.

  • Restart the app. Does this every month now. Just a visual bug.

How did it irk me? My topic seems to have irked you. I'm just lost as to why its a crutch perk :)

Because they insulted you and your response was to create a forum post about it. The better way to go would be roll your eyes and/or laugh and moooove on. But to each their own.

  • How sure are we that it isn't Candyman?

Remember a couple months ago when Tony Todd 'liked' the game on twitter (or whatev) What's up with that? Timing would work.

There's also a new Candyman movie coming out i believe? I'd be fine with Pennywise, but the whole god being held prisoner by another god wouldn't really work..

  • I love these steam comment yelp reviews. Who is this for? Will not return. Extremely long line at drive-thru. Ran out of baja blast.

  • I agree with goat. Go with what works for you.

I'm more of a casual player and usually run some combination of: Inner strength, spine chill, bond, kindred, prove thyself, detectives hunch, iron will, windows, empathy, stakeout, borrowed time. I tend to lean toward information perks over exhaustion. Just personal preference.

  • Ya but who am i supposed to lash out to make feel bad then? People make me feel bad. I can't lash out to my neighbor. He'll tell my dad. I can't lash out to my dad- he'll take away my pc. Isn't random new player #153865 my best option?

My guy. Queue times for survivor on PS4 are a JOKE 😂😂😂😂

I'm a rank 8 survivor and now i feel i have to decide if i want to fall down this well or not. I could just not play survivor for a week and be rank 13.

It's unfortunate bc it's fun, yet i wonder if a few more hours of surviving is worth red/purple rank jail next month. And the month after.

  • Dead dawg saloon. It's too bright. Not a ton of pallets. Totems have insidious. It never loads for me as killer. It's the only map I've had more hatch escapes on than exits out of the gate.

  • The only way to achieve a +/- of 6 would have to be ps4/xbox/switch crossplay.

There aren't enough killers on consoles. So the +/- becomes a range of 14 or 15. This range usually feels like being hit by a truck. So they try survivor. They see it's a lot less stressful. They play more survivor. Now there is one less killer and one more survivor.

Even without crossplay, a hard cap of +/- 8 with more wait times would still probably work better. In a sense of health and game population.

  • This is mainly just Billy atm or?

  • Only if the Cryptkeeper can be one as well. I'm not sure either of them can run tho.

  • I would say about 50% of the time for me as well. If it's not every other game, it's me dying 3 times in a row, followed by escaping 3 times in a row. Sometimes i get butchered repeatedly, tired of playing, just wanting go out on a high note. Solo q makes me yell at my tv a lot.

  • Are killers really moving slower for everyone in the new patch? Or are some people just exxagerating?

I agree. I mean, for crying out loud, even Friday the 13th had these basic graphic adjustment features, and that was made by a much smaller studio (Behavior Interactive is not small, people should look them up).

It's inexcusable that DbD is handled the way that it is.

    Wait . . . no . . . it's fine! Look! Over there! A new cosmetic!

Well I guess someone hasn't seen Jane's new jungle cruise outfit.

  • Interesting timing. Several users suggested (in jest?) weeks ago, that upon release of the new patch, Billy would be getting a nerf. Coincidence?

  • Sometimes, you just have to accept that you're the LeBron.

I know, it's annoying/gets tiring. The life of a solo survivor. There is a 25% you're going to be the most efficient survivor. Embrace it. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

  • M&A apparently allows insane potential for flashlight stuns now.. this happened to me as Hag, while looking in the corner of two solid walls. Never saw their friend w the flashlight anywhere. Might have to rethink using this perk idk.

  • This happened to me as Hag.. I picked someone up while intentionally looking into the corner of a wall, no windows or anything, and somehow I was blinded from behind and dropped the guy. I was livid. It was bizarre.

This side blinding business must be new bc I've never experienced that before.

Anyone in their right mind would trade Adrenaline for NOED.

    Let's make it happen.

Not only would I make that trade, I'd include a future draft pick. Next survivor released only gets 2 perks.

  • Consider only playing on the weekends. You might be surprised how much you look forward to playing after not playing for 4 days. Solo q or killer everyday is enough to drive anyone mad.

  • I can and also can't relate. Rank 10 survivor and I've genuinely never waited longer than 5-6 minutes for a match. PS4 from 3pm-10pm PST. Killer lobbies are damn near instant.

  • Interesting ideas. You could be the next jigsaw if everything else doesn't work out.

Nope. NOED's effect activates if any dull totems are remaining on the map, regardless of the amount cleansed and the time it took for the gens to get done. It is better classified as a hex totem with a delayed activation, not as a hex totem that activates when survivors rush gens. If you want to give the killer free pressure, keep using meme perks and going totem hunting. Makes my games as killer that much easier 😁

I disagree that DH is a meme perk. It's pretty dang useful. Gens even practically wave at you with it.

There are a lot of maps and it's not very realistic to expect the average joe to memorize all totem locations. I do like the idea of leaving the easy to spot ones alone, however.

I mean, if sitting there for four minutes to taunt the survivor when the game is over is fun for you, more power to you I guess.

Some of us would rather just move to the next game with our limited free time but you standing there doing nothing is also super exciting I guess...

Nah, you had it right the first time. Griefing survivors by standing over them for 4 minutes while they bleed out is just painful to observe. Like there's no way you aren't a complete goblin IRL if this is what does it for you. It screams of incel. Killer queues are instant, btw. Feel free to move on.

  • Count me in for making it worse on ps4 tonight! If you're NA green ranks, try nurse tonight. You'll get better. Don't give up.

I reported this Claud who kept blocking me to the Oni, and purposefully had me downed just so she could farm me for points. I was then tunnelled the whole game and ran him until exit gates. She also got me killed (by blocking shack), and proceeded to teabag at the gates. I don't blame the Oni one bit for killing me, but she could've left me alone and I would've easily survived the game. Why on earth would she ruin my experience (it was mine ONLY btw, and I've never met her before) just for her points. Is this normal in solo survivor?

Were you a quentin by chance? I've only had this happen to me once, and i was playing as him.

I think it happened bc i spawned in the shack w a meg who wasn't moving for a bit. I was kinda drunk, so i tbagged around til she woke up. Y not? I move along and find a claudette working on a gen.

I accidentally blow the gen.. these two hooligans proceed to just follow me around 4 the rest off the match just blocking me and getting me downed lol.

They even got the killer to join in! They just raise and unhook me over and over.. it was bizarre. I guess he had farmed before..

So ya either mistook me for griefer or just cause i was quentin. This was months ago and still the most odd survivor match I've ever had.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

Just camp with NOED if killer is too challenging. It's actually a mathematically guaranteed 2k if your first chase is short enough.

Ya i agree. Just go all in. Noed, insidious, blood warden, and ehhh something? Idk

  • My killer deranked to 17. Can't wait to play tonight.

  • Windows of opportunity can help keep track of pallets and windows and such. I don't run it all the time, but i never regret it when i do.

  • I hit survivor rank 9 last weekend and.. just sorta made a hard call to stop and not get into purple rank before reset.

The odds of rough teammates increase in yellow/green ranks, but I've never waited more than 5min for a match. It's unfortunate bc I'm pretty sure i could get rank 1, but eh.

  • Grats on your A++ Bubba. Stick this one on the fridge.

  • If bbq isn't on the shrine Wednesday, probably leatherface. Unless you already had a killer in mind that seems fun.

  • How has your experience been with killer wait times on ps4? Pretty quick i bet!

  • *loads killer* OK so which 3 perks should i choose to let 5 gens get powered hmm

  • Not bad. I would give him some sort of plague or pig esque type of pre loaded structures around the map (maybe a carnival tent or something) to help w map pressure, that he can teleport to ala freddy.

Conditions being he can only teleport while a survivor is coughing and ehh coughing lasts longer. Survivors cough for 15 seconds and instead of being slowed down, they hallucinate, hear carnival music and see weird ######### like deformed horses and phantom survivors moving around the map.

Clown can also deploy 2 fake chests that deploy randomly on the map and consume a health state and cause everyone but opener to scream when opened.

  • Survivors typically do this when they feel they still have the momentum in the match. You'll typically see this after pallets are dropped- in the first several minutes of the match.

Why? Idk. Some would say to make the killer super duper mad; hoping they'll feelsbad and forget how to play. The mindgames!

  • As a 50/50 player. I don't like noed for either side.

For solo survivors, these just don't get cleansed. If you are cleansing a totem, there's a good chance that there is a teammate nearby, watching you cleanse. They aren't envious. They're just watching. You'll see at least 2-3 more totems upright 7 minutes later.

For killer, running noed is an admission that you're probably gonna allow 5 gens to be powered, and you're most likely looking forward to it. Personally i prefer gen 1-4 perks.

It's great that the 0k turned into a 1-2k for ya, but it comes off as lazy, and i don't think either side really respects it.

  • I'd have to say leatherface as well. Get BB&C asap and then just try various killers to get a feel for their playstyle. You can then use the points you've earned to flesh out your favorite somewhat.

Branch out and do some archive challenges as well. Play both roles. Your experience will be a bit of everything.

  • I haven't had a bad time vs deathslinger, (ive earned more white whale trophies vs him than any other killer thx btw), but I really don't like the new map as survivor.

It just feels too wide open and bright. I prefer stealthy play and all my solo q games here have been a disaster. But whatever, there's always the next round.

  • If you're scared of them, then how can they be boring? If anything, you should be giving your A game to avoid being hooked that round. So what if you're mori'd.. it's probably a green or yellow anyways i mean who cares.

Yes it's toxic and cowardly to bail like that.
