Lol.. RARRRRR wasn't necessary but it was needed. I never knew how much RARRRRR was missing from my life.

I went a couple of weeks there without seeing Midwich at all, but lately it's starting to pop back up again. But God do I hate the generator placement on that map. And is it me, or is the perk small game just utterly useless on that map? It'll constantly ding at me letting me know a totem is nearby, but I'll find nothing. But if I go to another floor, there it'll be.🤨
Lol ya small game is rough there. I'm more of a detective's hunch guy, but I'll be abandoning anything aura related for the time being.

Maps seem to rotate pretty well, though I've never seen Badham since starting on PS4.
Honestly, playing survivor on ps4, i think Badham might be the most common for me. I have not seen midwitch since PH's release when it was every other game. Both relieved and surprised by that.
-
I've been seeing some matrix black cat type of ######### myself..
The last time i played as Legion. Hawkins.
The last time I've played against Legion. Hawkins.
My survivor game before that? You guessed it. Versus a legion on hawkins. I literally had back to back matches as survivor against two different legions on hawkins without map offerings.
I also happened to see tru3 play as Legion on hawkins around this time on YouTube. Bizarre.
-
Unlikely. You may however get to see the perks everyone was using.. someday.

i had the purple all seeing add on where you see the auras in 12m distance if you're cloaked, so... yeah, it was useless
Haha you totally ruined their plans bc lightweight actually works in green/yellow ranks. Red eh.. not so much.

Hmm.. It appears lightweight didn't work out for them.

More maps. I heard puppers mention an idea about an abandoned cruise ship at sea. That could be cool. Other ideas too like an abandoned amusement park or aquarium. Maybe even the hotel from the Shining. Doctor sleep wasn't bad!
-
My conspiracy theories:
"BBQ is just being used too much/overperforming, so let's nerf auras. Survivors only use these half the time anyway." (Less killer awareness, = more fun for survivor?)
"This game isn't scary enough, so let's make it all around more uncomfortable for everyone." You thought solo surv felt helpless at times before? Hold my beer.

What aura? I don't see any aura in the game 🤷♂️
It's that thing that looks like a totem. Although that thing might also be generator. Or a person. Must investigate.
-
Kindred is significantly worse. This perk was buffed earlier this year because solo survivor was significantly worse. BBQ is bp or bust now. Another meh update, sadly. The priorities just seem odd.

I will check over my path again to make sure it's as optimal as possible.
Hey any way you could post what the challenges are for us sad bastids at work?

better question; why were they changed?
See, the new tome features Ace, and Ace likes to gamble. He is said to have a lucky aura.
Because of that, bringing aura perks is now a gamble.

Well at least you won't see this in your nightmares or anything

Barb's revenge

I'd suggest a more grounded killer to blow off steam.. especially if your killer of choice is lv. 10 and is regarded as the most difficult killer to master.

I have a friend on the same boat as you, he never bought any dlc for this game but not even with shards.
If you can't afford a dlc get killers via shards or wait for the shrine to have decent perks.
gl on that though since the shrine usually has bad perks.
This. Waiting for something you actually want on the shrine is a complete wash. You could be waiting months or even a year. You'll have to be more aggressive to procure stuff you really want.

I was told to do bons. But i think they meant Bond. I guess bond helps with doing bons and noed.

Okay, then from the start of the trial there should be a notification status that NOED is active so that survivors are aware to actively cleanse dull totems.
Well instead of a counter or an announcement, what they could do is when bringing noed, is light every totem on fire at the start of the match.
If solo, you'd have to spot 3 by yourself just to figure it isn't haunted grounds. Other hex totems still function normally.
Once 5 gens are completed, either only one totem stays lit, or the remaining do, and only one is the true noed totem. This by deduction would inform knowing players to start cleansing throughout the match, and make veterans uneasy about which totem is actually noed.
-
Ya if i feel like I'm destroying a team, I'll take my foot off the gas and play silly. Seeing that 5 gen on the screen is sad. Pallet stuns, wiggle free, etc. It's almost understood they'll all die, so eh give them a few extra bp.

Imo saloon is the most killer sided map in the game
Its extremely small, has almost no safe pallets, shack is trash, and gen placement is horrible
Only good thing on that map is the main building which can be made usless by breaking the walls
I agree. Its one of the better maps for killer. The level is so damn bright to me. That and the gens for the mostpart always kinda spawn in the same spots. Noticeably more predictable than in some other maps imo.
-
I like the look of the map, but my survivor teams just always seem to get destroyed here.
I've gotten this map once as killer. A feng was either afk or pretended to be afk. No gens were completed.
As survivor, ive gotten the hatch once and maybe 3 gate escapes? Its bleak.
What I would suggest is just go for the saloon gen at the start. Sure, you're visible and noisy, but if you make it out, you're getting that sweet, sweet trophy. Bronze, ya!
-
So many bp to spend nowadays, I think I'll take him to 15 and see how it goes. Like op, I hesitated for awhile. I think he murdered me the first 7 times i went against him. Didn't wanna pull a durant and join 'em.

Billy is supposedly completely fine but they're gonna nerf him to add that extra bit of "counterplay". So when is DS, the perfectly balanced survivor perk that totally not everyone in red ranks use because it's a crutch second chance perk, gonna get it's own little taste of extra "counterplay"?
A community manager was the one who suggested this and I think it's fantastic. DS can mostly remain exactly how it is right now, but if the survivor gets healed, starts healing another player, touches a gen, enters a locker, or unhooks another survivor it automatically cancels DS. The healing portion should cancel it if they touch a survivor just like if they touch a gen, and the self healing portion should cancel it if their healing progress exceeds 30%. That second part is important because survivors would just 99 their bars so they can still keep DS up till the last second but still leaves them some room incase a teammate accidentally taps M1 on them and basically feeds them to the killer.
The way he put it was pretty much DS is fine if they don't want to get tunneled but by performing an action like mentioned above then they themselves are making the choice to put themselves back in the game and should lose their protection.
I'd be ok with the DS changes you suggested.
I had a sweaty game as Hag on sunday. Had to 3 gen and slug the last 3 ppl. I pick up a david who i apparently hooked 55 seconds prior, aaand.. all 3 got out with a key a whopping 20 seconds later.
I'm ok with being outplayed- i made the mistake- but this whole keeping track of who's been hooked when- regardless of what they've been doing for the past 55 seconds- just seems overkill to me. It closer resembles a minute of invincibility than a true anti tunnel perk.
-
Could be decent on legion as well. They don't hear ya coming and then wack wack wack
-
Ahh.. the trick is to not make it past green ranks and hope for the best.

Aight fellow oni main cutie listen up.
1- ADDONS
At first, if you wanna learn him I advice range addons, don't stack 2 of them just bring one on the side, the moldy electrode will make a significant difference.
Once you're ok at chase shutdown bring in ONE restraint book, this will allow you to see the hallucinatory doctors aura from all across the map, pretty much you'll know where everyone is (given that you got them to T2 Madness, which shouldn't be hard). This will massively increase your pressure.
Once you master his chase shutdown combine both discipline addons (green + yellow or green + purple), these lower the detonation delay of his shock therapy which will prevent those unexplained window vaults/pallet drops (Do not bring in one of them as it will make a tiny difference, unless its the purple one then sure)
2- Shock Therapy Timing
This can't really be explained in depth as it comes solely from practice.
But you need to learn when to time it so that you can shock the survivor before he/she commits to a running vault, because once they commit to it the shock therapy WILL NOT prevent the vault.
Also work on aiming your therapy in a prediction rather than where they are currently, this is because of the detonation delay.
A good thing you can do to practice shock therapy is to bring in the perk Bamboozle, Clown's teachable.
Block the window, then focus solely on preventing that pallet drop, once you get good at it remove bamboozle and swap it out for a different chase shutting perk (I suggest save the best for the last)
3- Starter build (not the best build but really good to learn him and makes it generally easier)
Distressing or Whispers for the shock blast, BBQ or thrilling tremors for tracking (or bring a restraint book), Corrupt Intervention for the shock blast and early game downs, Hex:Ruin
Distressing means larger shock blast, easy to understand, just get a slight idea of where the survivors are and boom. Whispers on the other hand means guaranteed at least 1 person in your shock blast. It's up to you whether you want whispers or distressing.
BBQ and Thrilling tremors serve same purpose, go with BBQ for the BPs and not having to suffer from a cooldown. Go with thrilling if you want to pull off a meme, shock blast = survivors get off gens momentarily then instantly pick up. You block right in their faces (given that they get shocked in the first place)
Corrupt Intervention is a great replacement for old ruin and it allows you to get a hook or two if you're lucky early game.
Hex:Ruin is nice if you can use your static blast effectively, putting them in T3 prevents doing gens hence regression, and applying pressure with the shock blast around the map generally gets them off gens if they get shocked, also giving regression.
Are you a fan of unnerving presence? I just so enjoy loud explosions greeting me as i approach a gen.
I was planning on trying a new build of Distressing, UN, Corrupt and Discordance this weekend.
-
People will say do bones, and it's good advice. But solo q teams for the mostpart, don't do all 5.
You'll actually be amazed post game when you see the killer brought noed, only for it not to proc. Like wow! that's a thing??
You're gonna have to decide how much you hate noed. Is it enough to bring detective's hunch or small game? Hope you have a flexible perk slot. Be prepared to cleanse 3 or 4 or 5.
There's also the strategy of leaving the easy to spot ones til the end. I just do my best to not be the first one hit, really. GL
-
FNaF is the new NOED. It's also only 4 letters. Coincidence?

Things that I noticed:
I get Cakes at a higher rate in brown mystery boxes.
Event Items are easier to get through chests in matches
I completely agree that these items are easier to find during the match. I search chests hoping for a key or purple toolbox and constantly am getting event flashlights and health kits.
-
Yesterday I was mostly running around with Inner Strength, Kindred, Prove thyself, and Spine chill. I like.
-
Who would the killer even be? A slightly menacing teddy bear?
Who would the survivor be? A security camera?

The generators get repaired way too quickly. Byt time you catch your first survivor 2 gens are popped. This is pointless for killer, they might as well just sit in the corner for the entire match. Fix generator speeds devs or bring old ruin back. Toolboxes may have been nerfed but it still doesn't stop the speed of the generators. Fix the gens. Because I think I speak for a lot of the killers when I say playing killer isn't fun it's boring. I know you won't listen but I hope you do. As a lot of killers think the same.
This just isn't true. I'm a 50/50 player and by no means does having 3 generators left equate to a guaranteed loss. This is just sounds apathetic.
They're still gonna have to finish the last 3, and those last 3 are gonna be a hell of a lot more rough than the first two.

Also, how old did she say she was again????
I hear horse flesh is a secret menu item at cold stone.

The thing that makes killer kind of fun, is that there are a lot of different powers for the killers and playstyles, while all survivors are the same. Maybe since I solo queue I don't have as much fun.
But there are different playstyles for survivor as well, some via the archives. I'm not normally overly altruistic, and right now I'm working on safely unhooking 12 different people. I find a challenge in this, as i normally kinda hate doing this.

"Things go wrong" is a bit of an understatement.
Hell, look at the sound issues. You guys LITERALLY had those in your patch notes listed as "fixed"...and they released more broken than they were before. We're not talking about minor bugs that all games seem to have. We're talking about things that are GLARINGLY obvious to the point where a blindfolded, stuck in a closet with the lights off Stevie Wonder would notice within 5 minutes of playing. We'd understand if they were just minor things, but the stuff BHVR somehow allows through QA is nonsense. This event is just the cherry on the cake.
You can say BHVR play tests all you want - there's absolutely zero evidence to that. Unless they play test, see the bugs, and simply don't care to fix them on time. This is evidenced by the fact that the community TOLD you about all the issues in the PTB...3 weeks before the patch...and it somehow still released that way.
So I repeat - if they do play test, they do a lackluster job; and we have enough hard evidence to say that's an actual fact at this point.
This entire event is insult to injury. Not only are the crowns lame, but the alternative to the bloodhunt doesn't even work..
I don't feel entitled to some super fun experience just because it's june, but at this point It's just embarrassing.
I can't help but feel if they had some real competition for this game on the market, a lot of these shortcomings just straight up wouldn't be allowed to happen.

It just seems like every game somebody's whining and moaning about some game "etiquette" mechanism whereby I'm supposed to let survivors escape. That was just a particularly bad one where I actually was trying to let them escape, and still got crap.
I chase an injured survivor in literally any scenario - wahhh tunneler.
I camp a hooked survivor when the gates open - wahhh camper.
I don't immediately hustle to the opposite end of the map on a hook - wahhh proxy and/or camper.
I chase the flashlight brigade instead of picking up the downed survivor - wahhh slugger.
And even in the case of a bad game - wahhh you suck l2p.
There's no escaping the toxicity. It doesn't really bother me, I've been playing multiplayer games long enough to where butthurt bad sportsmanship isn't really a thing, but it does make me ask: what, exactly, do they freaking want? I mean, like, literally, how do they expect killers to play?
Now, I'm not a rank 1 killer by any means, and if this was other relative newbies like me - then whatever, everybody's figuring it out. But the BM and eye roll inducing whining is almost exclusively from red ranks (thanks matchmaking, btw). Like do red rank killers unlock some special ability to just open the doors at the start of the match and just let the survivors walk out for easy peasy bp?
I fluctuate between rank 11 - 6, and usually when i get to the mid purples I buy a new killer to start over with and de-pip to greener (natch) pastures, because I don't know all the special rules about letting survivors win and it seems like brown-purple ranks don't get all twisted up over it.
Throw away the survivor rulebook.. you don't owe these people anything. You're overthinking this all a bit.
-
If the crown is just for fashion, then what difference does it make that it's easier for one role to get over the other?
There arent bragging rights.. It doesn't grant any hidden effects or anything. This is just completionist ######### isn't it?
If you've been playing dbd all day long so far on a tuesday.. do you really doubt you won't have all these 2 weeks from now?

Actually, this might be the best time ever to run franklin's. Much higher chance survivors run back for their precious. Hag should be fuuun this weekend.

Ya the first time i see some lob sided devil horns sticking out from behind a rock I'm gonna lmao.
-
Some crowns are from the entity matrix and don't actually exist. The trick is to only pick up the crown after you see the black cat cross your path. The cat can only spawn in levels that have 2 treasure boxes searched, and 2 totems cleansed. 2 + 2 = 4th anniversary. Read this on fb. Hope this helps.

I wonder if franklin's would make people drop the crown. That would be neat.
