Why? It's not like you need to hold the crown to get it.
There are also anniversary event items if you hadn't noticed.

Then what's the point of trying them when they only just came out today?
They aren't single use like firecrackers or keys, plus you can just pick them up later amd not get hit when exiting the gates.

Actually, this might be the best time ever to run franklin's. Much higher chance survivors run back for their precious. Hag should be fuuun this weekend.

It's not about losing them it's about actually getting to use them(Franklin's demise is just a satan spawned perk, anniversary or no)
I've only ever used Franklin's when someone whips out a key. If for some reason I can't or decide not to use Franklin's, I'll just softly tunnel them out. Besides, these event items aren't that special aside from design.
Killers should just play without perks or add-ons for the entirety of the event.
So same thing that survivors did back when we had hook events ?
