From what I've read, CI isn't really worth the perk slot. Unless you play Trapper or Hag.

@ADirtyNea Nice I've been running ruin + pgtw which i guess is a bit overkill. Sloppy and MYC.. are these your 2 must haves for red ranks or just personal favorites in general? Both are great i admit.
@GeordieKiller Do you happen to run discordance along with CI? I would think that combo would be very effective at start.

I was once in a group that were all about to escape. I got to the opened gate wounded, and another started to heal me. The killer approached and I couldn't escape either one of them lol.
I misjudged where I was standing, too far to crawl out. Everyone leaves and I get sacrificed. Definitely learned a lesson that day to not get too cute.

I used to use this on Hag around green ranks. It's not bad. But it lost it's playing time once I acquired some better talent on my bench.

I'll be using this (eventually) with Hag and Freddy. I would think/hope discordance would help as well.

See my post above. You haven't been able to tell swf by the way they join since around March last year.
They don't want to give players the powers to dodge lobbies. It is what it is and won't ever happen.
If killers didn't need the info to setup for survivor items survivors in a lobby you can bet that would soon be removed as well.
So when viewing an empty lobby, and people spawn in one at a time, with 7 second delay in between them. You're saying they aren't solo survivors?

Within a few days, ps4 has lost the most popular killer perk in the game, and the ability to dodge swf lol.. fun times.

Does Devour Hope get a slight buff in this new ruin-less landscape? I get the impression that in a few weeks, searching for hex totems may become an afterthought. I'll still do it, but mainly to block noed.

@crossboy Marketing may have been a poor word to use. But it is nonetheless a product that they want to see grow, and eliminating ruin will slightly reduce the learning curve for new players. New players in the coming months may be more likely to stick around.

This was decided in a meeting a long ago, it seems. It's a marketing move. The same reason that the new collectors edition has Trapper sharing the cover with Demo. Instead of just some dlc blurb at the bottom.
They want the game to be more accessible to the rage-quit inclined. They also apparently asked ppl off the street to play rank 20 survivor against ruin and everyone died.

At this point, only buy Hag if you're interested in her playstyle. She's fun.

You'll also know the killer has it if your team is doing really, really well.

Ruin is not a problem in ranks 15-20 though. You're far more likely to match up with a yellow rank killer, using all of 2 perks. One of them is noed and the other sure as sh ain't ruin.

Possibly staying. I'm more irritated that they waited until after the BLOODHUNT to announce that a perk that roughly 4/5 killers use, is being deleted. I would have played more than one night had I known this. Hi Plague!
You just straight up don't see ruin much in yellow/gray survivor ranks. By the time they're green rank, they have confidently taken on the supreme challenge of "find the totem on fire". Bad totems spawns and all that.
We'll see how it goes. Looking forward to lurking here tomorrow.

This is indeed breaking the rule of 6. Which should probably be the rule 5.
I'd like to think this level disparity will even out a bit as the event goes on. Being that most people would prefer to play killer.

I've gotten to the point where I'm only sitting down to play 3-4 times a month. I guess after 16 months, I'm just kinda over it. I'll play some during double bp weekend, but have really no idea what to do w them.

I personally would just shoot for getting bbq asap. Kind of improvise everything else along the way.

I think it promotes less toxicity in the community. Sure, they may not have deserved the hatch, (i only allow hatch) but you'll be giving them an experience they won't soon forget. Especially if they're terrified.
It's the pay it forward mentality. As a possible killer player themselves, they may also soon allow a free escape to someone. Possibly someone doing an adept or a daily challenge.
I got adept jeff this way. I stayed hidden the whole match and was the last one found and downed by noed. He proceeded to pick me up and drop me on top of the hatch. What a guy. I realized that day that when playing killer, the 4k isn't always everything.

I've begun to almost make dates with this game, to not get burned out. Like if the stars align kind of dates.
"Maybe I'll work a half day friday and drink vodka/play dbd".
"Hey I have holiday time off around xmas, maybe I'll drink vodka/play dbd".
I look forward to these days? Not sure I would as much if I were a daily/semi daily player.

I am rank 16 killer atm on ps4 and it's always less than a minute.

Hag is fine where she's at. I'd prefer to see resources aimed at reducing bugs. I believe a repair and healing trophy are still bugged.

So it sounds like a freddy using bbq + pgtw would most benefit from discordance because bbq already functions as a tracking perk.

The hooked person in the basement, that turns into the two hooked people in the basement.
Walking right up to a crouching dwight via M&A. This is a pretty good time in green ranks.

Even double bp with evil snowmen on the map would be fine. Maybe scrooge is the next survivor.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm 90% sure Ruin was in the shrine 2 weeks ago. You failing to keep tabs on the shrine is now costing you 1 million bp's.
Hopefully you already have BBQ, or that's gonna make this whole thing extra brutal.
I can relate tho, i took Pig to lv.40 just for make your choice (to replace bbq) but i can't replace bbq yet, because i still need more bp's!! It never ends!

Pinhead : He could roam the map as the cube for stealth. This might be too gimmicky/similar to wraith.
Candyman: Beeee my victim. His terror radius is an actual swarm of bees following/surrounding him. Mori wouldn't dissapoint.

@dannynel477 Sony used to allow you to add custom amounts directly into your wallet (perhaps only increments of $5). You could possibly do this through their site and not have to spend extra cash at walgreens or w/e.

If a survivor d/c say 30 sec into a match, can adept still be achieved?
I got adept legion a while back and someone d/c'd. I don't remember exactly at what point during the match. Perhaps if i get the others hooked 9x it'll work?

@Carlosylu Those two are really fun. I had no idea what OoO felt like before attempting laurie's. It came down to me 1 v 1 vs a trapper and I thankfully found the hatch. Intense. For David, i just lucked out as the killer didn't find me that round.
For OP, I would suggest waiting to spot killer before working on gens. Maybe play a bit selfishly too. No risky hook saves and such. Just be immersive as hell.
I'm trying adept adam this weekend. His coat is... just so white. Should be fun.

I think I'll try for their adept trophies this weekend. Rank reset put me @R15, so sounds like an opportune time. Might try to knock out trapper as well.
For survivor, I have almost everyone at level 10, so i mostly just play whomever has items left to use. Great way to discover perks you weren't sure you'd like so much. Hello detective's hunch!

As a casual, I'll chime in. I too was surprised upon the realization that only one could be done at a time. This is ok. It gives more replayability.
Activating multiple nodes would also make the web even easier, as some of these objectives are nearly identical (2 safe hook rescue in one match, complete 5 safe rescues). People would just plow through these things. I think it's only the hardcore players doing this now (mostly).
I wouldn't be playing survivor much without the tomes. The allure of bp that i can spend on killer just for safe rescuing people is enough to get me to boot up the game tonight (and hey, maybe more shards too.)
I like that's there are secondary objectives. I recently burned a bonus chest offering and went 1/1 on opening 3 chests. Even if that took me 2 or 3 games to get, thats alright. I'm still finding it fun going after these silly challenges

I only play Legion for the daily challenge, and it's just not that fun. They feel confusing and underwhelming to play as.

No skill? You try drinking for 5 hours and hit those skill checks. That Tapp on my team was not pleased!

@TheHourMan Another great way to get the Interrupt survivor challenge would be to play as Hag.
Hook a survivor, place a trap a step away from hook, and use bonus teleport range add on. I get usually 1-2 grabs just messing around in matches this way. Ez

I got the 500 sacrifice trophy last weekend. Still happy about that. My second fav would be my rarest; Adept Legion at 0.3%.
