You say that as though clown is the worst killer in the game when he isn't, he may not be as strong as other killers but he certainly isn't bad. You also say that him playing Ash is a justification for camping, if there's 1 or 2 generators left, camping is understandable but why do you base it on the character they're playing?
Love clown. I had forgotten about the change to MoM. Camping usually won't work past the grey ranks. At one point it was suggested a counter to MoM is to camp ash.

I booted up my intimidating rank 16 killer on sunday around 2pm pst and experienced this. It was my first time playing in 2+ weeks and i thought the game was dying. It felt too long for interest in GF alone to be responsible.
It felt a lot like what a survivor queue is like at 8pm on a weeknight. Hopefully it'll get looked at.
-
I was waiting for my chick to get ready one night, so for a laugh i booted up her dbd account (killer rank 20).
Ya i forgot she gets public messages (ps4).
Holy hell the very 1st person i sacrifice (some ash try hard) immediately sends me rage messages. Told me I was bad at dbd because i proximity camped and his friends couldn't save him (like ya.. you're playing ash and it's rank 20..). I told him he shouldn't have got hooked. I was playing Clown for christ sake.
I ignore him after that, but he was soooo mad that he kept messaging! Then he got mad that I wasn't messaging! I couldn't stop laughing. Again, this was AT RANK 20! Fun times.
-
I was browsing the r.i.p. GF thread and the page reloaded on my smartphone about 4 times. Kinda odd.
-
Jason also makes an appearance as the janitor. He's really smart and stuff.
-
She feels like a pretty balanced killer. The traps can surge as a huge momentum boost on occasion. Sometimes at just the right moment.
-
I play ps4 dbd on a 65" curved and it's really not an issue.
It sounds to me like you just haven't found the 'right' killer. Maybe play each killer 2 or 3 rounds, and maybe you'll find that eureka! moment.
I also wear reading glasses when i play.. and read. Def makes a difference for me.
-
As soon as someone attempts to blind me with a flashlight, i immediately turn to the left. If they aren't godly with the thing, it usually works!
Well sometimes anyway. Then you can whack 'em! They won't feel so cute then!
-
You're most likely right. I was hoping to give hag a break tho. Sort of my silly excuse to play a new killer.
Doctor has a lot of hype. I'm curious. I'll shoot for adept doctor this weekend and see if i can get his playstyle down. Won't rule out myers tho!
-
Haha im so bad aiming these bottles, im all for using them for mindgames.
I keep getting the intoxicate/hit daily, so I'll knock that out then IT'S ON!
-
I think it's because there is only one mode, that you see this a lot.
You can say entering a lobby isn't joining ranked pvp, but it really is.
The opposite side for the most part doesn't know if you're rusty, trying to farm, eight, drunk, etc. So it's all gloves off all the time. I realize this can be different on pc, as they seem to be able to change their username easier. (BPfarmerz69)?
Ultimately, nearly everyone playing wants to feel like they're winning; teabaggs are just the exclamation point i supose.
-
Ya that's kind of what i was thinking with my op. I've also never been a fan of stance changing.
Ill try out Myers /w bbq , ToTh and devour hope, with maybe some momentum perk 4th.
-
I do still need adept doctor, so maybe I'll throw 20 levels into him and see if bbq pops instead. Thx
-
I don't really have a good answer for this, i just hear m&a is great on myers.
I suppose I'd be willing to trade (some?) Bp to sneak up on ppl still.
-
I was planning on attempting adept hag, clown and meyers this weekend.
After reset i am in the grey ranks.. i was gonna bring a pink mori for hag and try that 2-3 times. Hopefully that won't bust the requirements.
My only advice is to try and keep swf to 2 ppl and have a really good game (or 3).
-
If I'm playing my 'best' killer and i get 1k or allow 4 man escape, i get pretty irritated. I feel i pretty much blew it.
I let the entity judge me most other times. I think entity displeased usually sums up my performance if i see it.
-
Every time the subject of tunneling comes up, i think about the planet earth docuseries.
At some point, you will a pack of dogs or lions or whatever, targeting the weakest or smallest of the herd. They do this because it gives the pack the highest % of making the kill and eating that night.
As long as chase isn't more than 1m, it usually feels like the best strategy to eliminate the player. I want ppl eliminated so the rest feel a sense of dread and play worse.
-
@blue4zion you changed your psn name but not forum!
Btw if you couldn't tell.. I'M WATCHING YOU!
Entity told me too..so it's fine.
-
@Akiro ya i can look into that. Swap out SB I'm guessing
-
Sounds almost like it's the difference between approaching a gen and seeing scratch marks vs approaching and seeing 2-3 ppl flee. Sounds fun
-
Sold! I sure wasn't dissapointed by a nurse's calling (last week?) @Poweas
-
@Visionmaker True. What would be nice is if before entering a lobby, you were given a choice between hitting plus (+) or minus (-), and that could (possibly) increase your chance of opposition being a higher or lower rank than you. Maybe put bp rewards attatched to it.
The 1-4 rank difference would still exist. Swf could battle higher ranked killer for more bp, and the more casuals would have higher % playing a potato for less bp.
-
Not that extreme. In the earlier ranks the rank range seems to be 2-3 levels of difference. Understandable that red ranks push this even further, as there are less of them.
Rank 4 killer vs rank 6 killer.. i can't imagine these are vastly different experiences.
-
I supose my strategy would be to dash to the uncamped gate, open it halfway, wait for killer to survey, and when they leave try to finish. Might get caught up in mindgames tho.
-
People will generally ######### on anything for any reason. Just another example. We are very fortunate to have access and the means to play a fun game like dbd.
A lot of ppl in the world are not as fortunate. Their version of survivor is making it home with their head intact.
-
A TWD zombie killer could work. Maybe a built in mori on the third time u down a survivor (or slightly more complicated objective). Some way to eat ppl.
Maybe for GoT the mountain? Maybe at 4 tokens you could start beheading ppl. Maybe 109% movement speed. Cause armor.
-
Walking dead is in what.. season 10 and nearly all cast is still alive? What would be the killer zombies power? Boring you to death? A week of bedrest?
GoT? The enemies are speargun ships and they hit you 3x with pin point accuracy from across the map? Maybe sadness spell as m2 ability.
-
I guess the general strategy as the last survivor (after the hatch has closed), would be to pick a gate, go altruistic, wait for killer to survey and leave gate, then open as quickly as possible.
Just better hope it takes them longer than 10 seconds to survey the second.
-
I've always wanted to peek to see if 3 ppl are on a gen. Peek a boo! Aw dam gens done.
-
Pinhead could work as the next strategic killer. Though i'd have to rewatch hellraiser to explain why.
-
So the stairs are just wider now?
-
I enjoyed it as well, Hawk. Got back to 1m bp and even got adept cannibal somehow.
-
It sucks spamming x on a dualshock 4. The majority of the time, i die around 15% just b/c my damn thumb hurts.
I'd actually prefer some sort of doctor/madness esque qte skill check. You'd still have to earn your last few moments of life, but with less arthritis.
-
I play killer on weekends when i can drink heavily + pip my bloodlust.
Survivor 1-2x during the work week for a few laughs (and sobering near death/death experiences.
-
Silly advice reiko. Everyone knows the better route is just to hang out for 45 minutes.
-
Interesting. I would think a killer who had a choice of chasing an Ash and a.. say Feng, would be less likely to go after ash.
Assuming they don't have a running hit count in their mind. The sort of apathetic oh gawd MoM no thanks next-thing. Sort of effortless discouragement.
-
Very true bender.
@Judith I think that's why im enjoying it so far. I'm a borderline crap survivor and the high % of disaster i find.. engaging.
I got adept quentin on the first go the other night. It was against a r17 plague. Thankfully she was struggling a bit, so i got to practice loops. He really does look like he has a drug problem tho.
Happy to report quentin's perks did in fact aid in my escape! (+5% opening gates!).
Interesting that some say david is hard and others say easiest. I may try him, ace or laurie next.
-
Will do! Official improv casual mode weekend! Minus shame
-
Would using this perk make me a 'bad sport' this weekend if we're supposed to be playing all loose?
In a way it could be bp friendly as the game could go on slightly longer.
-
I've never farmed as killer..
I do this by just by going for mass hooks and hits? Trying to delay their deaths for as long as possible?
I fear doing this on ps4 without any communication will just give the impression i kind of suck?
-
Hmm.. ya or maybe once a round, a random survivor is chosen and one perk they learned from another is replaced with one of their 3 class based perks.
Like a claudette could have their borrowed time randomly replaced with botany knowledge haha.
The roulette aspect would make loading in more interesting. Doubt it would often change the match tho.
-
I've been choosing survivors lately based on dailies and adept trophies.
I've only earned 4 so far, with jeff being my only pity escape (killer literally carried me to the hatch).
I guess claudette for total escapes.
-
I had someone leave like this about a month ago (as leatherface).
They started to t bag and i gave chase. They crawled through a window and proceeded to hide behind a bale of hay or something (non loopable).
I follow, charge m2, fake going right and 1 shot them to the left. They dc'd maaaaybe 0.5 seconds later.
I also suspect someone left my hag match sunday (in the first 30 sec) cause i was using ruin.
I kind of love this stuff when it happens. I'll take 3 v 1 anyday.
-
I've never played against a plague and didn't know most of this. I'll stick with dont touch fountain going forward.
-
Addicting gameplay.
Not knowing what the next round holds.
Practicing to improve at the opposite job.
A feeling of progression when a trophy pops that u forgot existed.
The ever so satisfying 4k.
The indecisiveness the bp grid can provide when u need a lot.
Finding the hatch before it opens.
Fun game i just can't play it more than 2-3x a week cause it makes me crazy.
-
I still have a lot of perks to unlock, but so far as rank15 Hag I'm using:
Ruin, sloppy butcher, nurse's calling, and spies from shadows.
This build gave 5 or so groups yesterday some trouble. The crows feel easily replaceable, but it's helped me more than hurt so far.
-
Hag for me. I love the chaos of ruin fails. The surprise of small terror radius. The traps activating just when you need them to.
I added nurse's calling for the 1st time yesterday, and it was a delight. I'd like to try M&A next.
-
I had always heard about killers "giving me the hatch" but had never experienced it until about a week ago.
I was going for adept jeff, and this trapper just picked us off 1 by 1. I was the last survivor alive (because im rank 17 so of course i am), sneaking around like an idiot looking for the hatch. Trapper one shots me, picks my ass up and just walks over to the hatch and drops me. What a guy.
I paid it forward yesterday as hag. Just ran around aimlessly holding last survivor in the match. But instead of looking for the hatch, i just spun around doing a 360. Maybe they puked. Idk. 10 seconds later they found the hatch. Fun
-
PS4 PST working fine for me. Although i have had 2 survivors d/c upon meeting leatherface's chainsaw. They woulda been fine!
