Camping & Tunnelling are keep ignoring by them. Actually they are just buffed it with DS's nerf and we got the worse anti-tunnel perk OTR.

Nurse nerfed from S - tier to S - tier. So they almost did nothing to her.

Blight did not got touched for years.

Spirit still has her busted add-ons for years.

Maps have strong 3 gen areas which survivors can not break it if killer is SM or Knight.

But whenever it comes to survivors, they have no mercy at all:

Dead Hard killed. Hatch & keys nerfed into ground. Med-kits nerfed so much. CoH is useless now. Solo survivors left in oblivion. They nerfed Self-Care too which was always weak perk. Flashlights nerfed. Iron Will butchered. I can list more here.

Probably next nerfs are coming for toolboxes, PT and other exhaustion perks since they got a lot complains from killers.

It is okey to listen killer mains and fix their problems. But why survivors are ignoring?

the devs say those are valid strats

I think that the more advanced the generators are repaired, the faster the skill checks will be and become smaller and the alert will be delayed

For every 25% progress in repairing the generator, a unique and difficult skill check will come (I have no thoughts about this unique skill check, but it is unique and unparalleled)

    yes

I like the idea to have to search for parts in order to be able to repair gens. But not in the sense of having to find one single item and bring it to the gen like gas, but instead having to find metal scraps scattered around the map , and you got a little bar that fills up when collecting the scraps. As long as the bar is not empty, you can repair gens.

to not make it too tedious, a regressing gen would lose the required scraps directly next to it so in order to re repair it, you don’t have to collect everything anew.

So, who is it? I’m running low on indoor map offerings and I’m tired of the game sending me to open field maps while playing a scratched mirror. The blood web isn’t helping since it keeps giving me Borgo and Garden of Garbage offerings (I wish we can trade them in for a small loss of blood points).

I don’t need to win matches. Heck, as long as they’re not toxic or super sweaty, I normally let everyone go after making them pee a little. I just want to consistently make as much blood points as I can.

so what’s the best killer and build to do it? I have plenty of shards to buy any non-licensed killer and I do have some auric cells though I’d like to save them for if we ever get Chucky, Xenomorph or Rita Repulsa.

both scratched mirror and vanity mirror on shape bc the bonus does indeed stack

Sorry, I was trying to say that all of these maps could be in the same realm. For example, if someone brings the "Forsaken memory" map offering, they could either get Eyrie of Crows, Garden of Joy, or Shattered Square. Not all three at once, just a chance of getting one of these maps that already exist.

that would be less cool but still great idea

  • all of it really they are all great and fun games with good replayability

  • @RareFantom47 said:

I've noticed that there are a plethora of map offerings, but the differences between these maps are very different. Say someone puts a Macmillan Estate offering, you know you're going two one of five different maps with different structures. However, if someone brings an Eyrie of Crows or Garden of Joy offering, the main building and most loop spawns are predictable. I propose that we decrease the number of offerings and bring some maps together. Ex: Eyrie of Crows, Garden of Joy, and the Shattered square all become a part of one realm, the Forsaken Memories, or something other, I thought it would be good name for the time being.

that sounds pretty cool but the map would be huge

This is gonna be a bit long so please bare with me!

    Intro waffle for context

I have been playing DBD for over a year and am probably the biggest example of a mediocre, at BEST average and mostly nooby player.

As I play on Nintendo Switch (yes, I am one of those 5 players in the world who play on switch) I have never been able to message or connect with other players in the game but had made some very precious and amazing in-game friends. These friends allowed me to develop my own (admittedly inefficient by meta standards) style of play. I’ve never been good at looping or flashlights but I learn to let my perks be an extension of the rest of my team or my friends builds to provide support that way.

Through amazing luck, I was able to connect with a few of these long time in game friends through a random TTV killer game and we got in touch and shared discord details. Over the last 6 months or so, we’ve slowly but surely connected with more and more in game friends through the power of networking and currently we have a discord server of over 100 cross network friends. We try to create lobbies and SWFs to avoid soloQ. Very rarely do we engage in ‘ultra swf’ mode - we don’t use voice comms and are not constantly telling each other strats to overcome the killer - mostly we provide running commentary and jokes while in or in between games. In fact probably almost half of the friends in the server were those who killed or morid me in a match but still had a fun game with.

    Post update thoughts:

Anyway, with the new update here is my opinion but also one that has been echoed by several other members in my server. This is a server of normal mostly casual players - for sure not the top 1% MMR and not the lowest 1% either.

I have many strong views on this but I am trying to avoid the perception of being a moaner for the sake of it and don’t want to create a torrent of negativity - it certainly isn’t my intention to do so.

There are a million things I’d like to say but I think the crux of it is that I fear the game may risk losing its diversity. Before you could have members of a team who focused on different elements - a looper, a Gen jockey, a healer/supporter, saboteur etc but now, it has funnelled almost everyone into playing with one efficient tactic in mind - do gens and get the heck out.

With the healing situations and nerfs to items, it has eroded the viability or efficacy of the various elements, nuances and dimensions to the game. It has caused an inbalance but not for the sake of creating a new meta - there is only one direction for the new meta - efficiency.

This will have a causal loop I believe - survivors must do gens and go, even when injured. No time for your dilly-dallying anymore - meaning killers will steamroll those not able to manage with injured health states OR they’ll face more and more acclimatised and uber efficient survivors and will need to become better at chases balanced work Gen pressure and control. This will

lead to frustration among casual killers and so more evidently, they may have to double down and resort to tunnel and camp even more to offset it, leading to survivors having to become even more efficient ad infinitum.

I’m still hoping BHVR realise how this update has been for many casual players and make changes to revert certain elements of the game or at least adapt it to make it more viable to different play styles. I’ve never been a great player but I felt the game did have a kind of role even for someone like me. Someone could be a great looper and use flashlights, but equally someone may not but still add value to a team. I’m not sure that is the case anymore.

And before anyone boils the above down to “get good and learn to loop” my whole point is about diversity of play styles and perks becoming less and less viable. I don’t want this to be an us v them survivors v killer post - I’d like to gauge everyone’s thoughts on whether you think there is still a capacity to assume diverse roles within a team if you’re not good at a particular element?

im a killer and i say you are a good persons

I use Chili + Lethal on Legion to get into chases quickly, and the other day some survivor must have messed up their Chili timing because I clearly saw them get into a locker on the other side of the map after I hooked their teammate.

It was very funny walking up to them like hellooooo

    thx 4 the idea

I like that most aura reveal perk and add-ons have warnings. But i hate thta nowhere to hide because the range walks around with the killer this means that you can get caught of guard because you didn't even knew the killer had kicked a gen.

I am complaining because this happened to me, suddenly i hear a heartbeat and hide. The killer comes directly no question to where i was. I was so confused until i remember, wait does he have NWH and kicked the gen at the end of the map. I wasn't even close to gen, i didn't hear him or saw him kick the gen, i wasn't even trying to go for that gen.

If the perk is OP or not idk, but it feels BS that the killer had this massive advantage that i just had no way to know. Got bring distortion i guess.

i do bring it along with 3 other aura reading perks

Kinda but even a skilled teammate who’s doing nothing because he’s looking for a glyph or totem will lead to a much harder match

yo im devotion 1 and i have been playing since 2017(new profile not a smurf just new system) and i'm a decent killer/survivor

  • that is a fair point but im going to make a group post and teach people by getting into games with them and telling them to turn off mics when in game

So I guess holding M1 on a gen forever wasn't enough to BHVR. Now hold M1 on a medkit heal for 24 seconds. Oh, dont forget about the overuse of Sloppy Butcher now. I agree that medkits needed a nerf, but this is a joke having to spend 24-30 seconds healing with a medkit. All the medkits in the past were OP, so keep them how they are now but make them 16 second self heals. Iron Will is trash and so is DH. A killer just tunnels and camps to prevent all Dead Hards. Healing is more necessary than ever now without DH. Stealth killers and Spirits are out in full force knowing that the easy hit on an injured survivor is guaranteed.

Alright, let's hear all the git gud nonsense rather than say something worthwhile.

dont hold m1 with the killer behind you and dont hold m1 on a hook or while in chase you are just being negative this game is fun most perks are unique and can go well together and all killers are different

yo if its escape through hatch i do my gens get you out then escape through hatch

by get you out i mean you escape

  • @Phasmamain said:

It’s the archive challenges pretty much

For killer the archives challenges are generally very basic and things you do naturally while playing. For example stuff like breaking pallets, hooking survivors and even just hitting survivors. The only challenges that really require you to go out of you way are really specific killer challenges and glyphs

Then we have survivor. Sure there are simple challenges like do gens and be chased but then there are challenges like “Hide within 10m of the killer for 120 seconds” or “escape through the hatch”. All these challenges do is encourage throwing matches and lead to solo games being ruined because 1 survivor isn’t pulling their weight

Ever see a survivor not do anything on the hud for like 2 minutes? The guy is probably looking for a glyph or the last totem to finish their archive challenge or waiting for their teammates to die so he can get hatch. It’s dumb and has made solo queue undeniably worse since it came out

I’m not really sure how to fix this since we have like 3 years worth of archive challenges which encourage this gameplay but it is something bhvr should look into when making new archives

yo if its escape through hatch i do my gens get you out then escape through hatch

Killers definitely have a rough time when it comes to cheating accusations.

There really aren't that many cheaters, I've only ever encountered 1 in 400h of play.

I think a lot of the accusations come from the different perspectives, especialy if those people play little to no killer. I always play with a friend, and he will very often be like "HOW DID HE FIND ME? It's literally impossible and he does not have aura perks !" when the answer is pretty clearly either power-related KI, crows, or general game sense.

We've since played a few custom games with me as the killer to show him how I, who do not have cheats, can find him, and since then he's been disgruntled but accepting.

i just use aura reading builds and love finding people in lockers

  • i fully agree with you bc i got the adept on her for my 2nd game

  • YES I HAVE LOST OUT ON SO MANY ADEPTS AND EVIL INCARNATE

  • when i play its fun unless it lags me back six feet after walking 2

it fixed so the game is constantly fun :l)

  • while a survivor is in the dream world if they fail any skillcheck you will see their aura

while i could not care less how much fun any of you all have....

i do think miss piggy needs a nerf being the s++++++++++++ killer she is...

dbd is all about balance so i say we give her a 5% movement speed buff however

i do feel her roar should be heard on the whole map.

also her dash attack should give people deep wounds...

also i think if you boop the snoot the person booping and the killer should get a cool 10k just cause

ok jokes aside you all are so negative i wish you all would just chill and also have a great month and remember its only a game and any and all outcomes dont matter.

I personally think she very difficult to master but I play on PlayStation 4 where the game’s optimization is a bit messy to say the least. I mean I yeah it could mean that I do need more practice with her and that’s fine. But I also know everyone learns differently and that’s okay too. Heck I will also say that yes she may be more easier on PC but they have a little more control over her. But anyway that’s just my thoughts.

you can us the irri addon that makes her move faster as base but limits her to one blink it works really well with the wooden horse addon

  • @Dennis1242 said:

I mean even if I play survivor I feel so bad for the killer. I encountered a lot of good killer players that couldn't really do much due to the gens flying. Even when I play killer. I can play with the best killers, 4 gen perks and still get genrushed. The survivors don't even bring toolboxes with brand new parts or hyperfocus but I can't stay in a chase for more than 20 seconds without a gen being done. I played a few matches recently with some of the weakest killers and some of the best and I tried to play fairly, like I didn't tunnel, I didn't camp and in almost every match I get t-bagged at the exit gates and genrushed. Did I miss something? And when I play survivor I get facecamped even tho I didn't rush the gens and I was more of a chase survivor. What is the point of playing killer if the match lasts only a few minutes and what's the point of playing survivor if I get facecamped and tunneled? Now, i'm sure the devs know that this is happening and if they want to do something about this they gotta be fast because the dbd player count is dropping. Maybe a licensed chapter will solve the problem but only temporarily. The best solution for this is make so that gens can be done only after finding some kind of gen parts and the endurance effect after hook to be like the effect of mettle of man, last longer and to not have collision with the killer. I really don't like this "genrush and camp" meta and I hope things will change in the future. I really enjoy dbd and I want things to get better.

dont focus on slowing gens instead focus on having fun -killer main
