  • I see him in most of my 2v8 matches, and as you mentioned his power is fairly easy to use and with the built in slowdown makes him a popular pick, especially with the bug on top of it.

The only solution is to either nerf him or buff other less popular killers. But then again buffing other killers won't guarantee that he will be picked less. I think the only choice is to give him a slight nerf.

  • Speed add-ons are the most problematic at the moment. While CD upon break action is needed, it still doesn't hurt semi-decent blight players. They will still have insane mobility with amazing zoning capability.

If people really want speed add-ons to stay, they would need to increase cool-down for power recovery and that would just make things even more unfun. Blight has been on top of the food chain for way too long and it's time to bring some light to other killers.

  • And what's even worse Devs are actually not addressing the killer. It's as if they live in a complete denial, or hope that we will get used to her one day.

I just can't wait for Outlast: Trails to come out, because if this is considered normal in the current state of DBD, then i'll happily take another long break.

  • As someone who enjoys playing Billy i know exactly what you’re talking about, but unfortunately this is a byproduct of balance and design choices.

Game is being balanced around anti loop killers and this created a new mindset for survivors. If you’re being chased, predrop and how W, waste as much time as you can. If you’re not being chased, just do gens, otherwise you’re not being effective.

  • I still don't understand why devs haven't made an official statement regarding Nurse, are they happy with her current state? Are they going to rework her or adjust the addons? Instead we have here a never ending battle between people, who religiously play and defend her on every single topic with a word nurse in it. And then we have people, who believe she's just not healthy for the game.

IMO Nurse is a balancing hell in general. Each new map they create, must be adjusted just for nurse, so she's able to blink without glitching. Every new decent perk makes her even more unpleasant to go against. She basically creates a lose-lose scenario. Majority of survivors dislike going against her, because she ignores every core defense mechanic (Pallets and windows) that is given to survivor. Daily arguments about her balance state are just tiring.

  • I think the biggest issue is how BHVR approaches these things. Instead of treating it as something normal, they try to push it as if it was something special. But let's be honest it's a business after all, they try to appeal to as many communities as possible to bring high revenue.

  • If you actually read my whole post, you would see my explanation, while it is a prerequisite, you don’t have to work for it and it shouldn’t be a hex perk IMO.

  • For me personally it’s mainly the fact NOED is not suitable for HEX perk. Why?

    1. Most of the instadown perks have certain prerequisites to be met, such as hook x people, let x people unhook from safe distance to active. This isn’t case for NOED, you have to wait until lategame for it to work and pray for at least one totem that is up.
    2. Since waiting for lategame isn’t really something you work for, it promotes poor gameplay, basically rewarding camping and tunneling, while relying on people to push gens instead of destroying all totems.
    3. Because of point 2, killers, who play the “normal” way usually get rewarded less, hence the whole idea of high risk - high reward doesn’t apply here., which brings me back to point 1, the perk isn’t a good fit for HEX.
  • First of all this is an issue on both sides, if someone is overly toxic, uses racial slurs, death threats, etc. Just report them. That's all you can at the moment. Another way how to avoid all of this is to turn off your chat, you're not forced in any way to use chat. If people insult you a lot and you feel offended, just don't use it, it's simple. Also if you seek admiration from other players in this game, I have bad news for you..

Second point, if you excessively target one player in multiple matches, be it facecamping, tunneling, it's considered as a griefing, which is also reportable offense. It depends on what kind of bodyblock you have on your mind, if you block someone in the corner, taking them hostage, it's also a bannable offense.

When I was thinking about our much beloved meta killers, nurse, blight, hag, spirit. I remembered their PTBs (the ones which had them) and realised, all of them were pretty bad in their early stages and got buffed to be meta afterwards, expect nurse, she's the fist DLC made to counter long gone infinites so she's got special pass.

Og hag as far as I remember, had extremely slow teleport, longer trap settinging, possibly smaller TP range. Eventurally she got buffed and became as good as she is now.

PTB blight had terrible hitboxes, you literally could not use his power anywhere and everyone agreed should he relase in a state he was on PTB, he would be at best mid tier killer. Luckily for him, his hitboxes got ironed out when released on live so people slowly began to get good with him, making everyone realise how strong his power is when it is allowed to work.

PTB spirit wasn't necessarily terrible but she was one of the weakest versions of her we've seen. If I remember, you could very clearly HEAR her exact position on her PTB and she was also somewhat slower (I might be misremembering that). Nobody was tracking via sound on her PTB, just doing their best with scratch marks which is pretty hard and even after her post PTB buffs, she rose to popularity (and became as hated too) almost like a year later from her release out of nowhere.

Any other killer released was either considered just very good but for the most part not S tier due to things lacking in their kit.

I get the feeling that if killers wants to become S tier, they first need to have design with a lot of potencial but at the same time have to be quite ######### in the execution of that potencial so they can be later fixed/buffed without anyone beiing able to argue they were good before or even wanting to nerf them.

I find it rather odd that the best killers we ever got don't seem to be designed to be the best from the beggining but rather brought to that point because they were mediocre in their first iterations.

That's how it works tho. If they release weaker killers, they have more room for improvements and if they release killer that is strong from a get go, then they're forced to balance accordingly.

  • I may be on of few, but nothing really changed since she got "nerfed". I still to this day don't understand how they could gut Death slinger a killer with no mobility into ground, but keep spirit , the killer with high mobility pretty much untouched. If anything it should have been the other way around, do some tweaks to Slinger and nerf Spirit.

  • First of all, DH working as intended isn't anything new, back when it was peer to peer, DH also worked as it should, so you could time your DH correctly. The biggest complaint regarding DH is because it's used for extra distance, so you can have one extra loop or make it to window. On the other hand there's absolutely no issue with timing it in open space making you miss.Asking for a "buff" just, because survivors aren't punished because of killers crappy connection is pretty ridiculous IMO. This was not a design choice, but rather a fix that should have been a thing the moment dedicated servers came out.

  • it is mind boggling to me how they could nerf Slinger so hard, while keeping the spirit and her base power pretty much the same.

    I really mean it.

I've honestly never been more involved in a game so much in my life, it feels like its actually alive. Always changing, always evolving, not everything is always the same in each match. This game is kinda perfect for a horror fan like myself.

I mean, you can stalk the streets of Hattonfeild as Michael Myers, creep through the rooms of the Game as the Pig, hack people down as Leatherface, and punish people as Pyramid Head. How many games do you know that let you play as this horror characters? And who knows what might be added next?

I know the game, and the Devs, have been giving some people...difficulties...but what game doesn't? Is the game perfect? No, its got bugs like any other game and some things need adjustment. The Devs aren't perfect either, but they've managed to keep us hooked this far and made it worth it, it all depends on what they have planned for the future.

The only thing i wish is that people would just get along while playing it, i sometimes feel like people are always at each others throats, like winning in this game as Survivor or Killer makes them superior and gives then the right to bring the loser team down. And if any of those toxic community members are reading now, i'm sorry, you're not superior...you won one match on a game...its not that big of a deal...its not like you'll win them all the time, or the Devs will send u a trophy or something like that. Get over yourselves.

Anyway, I am grateful to be part of this game, some things go good for it, and some things go bad, but i'm with it all the way because i believe the game will improve itself over time.

Thanks for reading, i just wanted to get that out. And to the Devs, thank you and please don't forget about us and our concerns. Can't wait for Chapter 22...#SpiderKiller 🐙

The idea is great, the execution however, not so great.

The lack of communication from the devs, cheaters, bad design choices. I hope there will be a strong competition soon, so they can finally wake up.

  • There definitely is, but unfortunately complaints are very common in here, so that's why it seems rather rare.

Also the whole Survivors vs Killers mentality doesn't help the case either. And while there will be always someone who complains no matter what, BHVR is partially being held responsible for this. I know it's a very hard task, but hey never really tried to address the issues. They never tried to give more fun objectives for survivors or rewarding killers for chasing and hooking multiple survivors other than releasing "band aid" temporary solutions in form of perks.

Why not try something new, maybe a new chill game mode, new mechanics, less annoying things, instead of getting new chapter every 3 months.

IMO their repetitive pattern and bad decisions/communication is a big source of negativity here.

It is hard to believe that we are talking about the same company that once came up with events like the Hallowed Blight, Scorching Summer BBQ and Moonrise.

How on Earth, or Entity's Realm, does one unlearn how to do a good event?

I miss the atmosphere of hallowed blight event. Also you had to work for the cosmetics, instead of unlocking them for free. The greed really changed them.

  • I'm just curious how can you differentiate toxic vs using it the "right" way. I rarely meet survivors, who use it anyway.

  • definitely Myers, people have slept on him for years thinking he’s bottom tier, but aside from few addons that could get some tweaks, he’s a really balanced killer.

    Here's my idea:

    P0 (Current): 7K Ultra/ 6K Very / 5K Rare/ 4K Uncommon/ 3K Common

    P1: 6K Ultra/ 5K Very/ 4K Rare/ 3K Uncommon/ 2K Common

    P2: 5K Ultra/ 4K Very/ 3K Rare/ 2K Uncommon/1K Common

    P3: 4K Ultra/ 3K Very/ 2K Rare/ 1K Uncommon/ 1K Common

This would reduce the bloodpoint grind per web, while also giving a major incentive to Prestige your characters. Seeing as they mentioned they're thinking of ways to make it more "worth it and rewarding" to Prestige, this seems like a nice way to do it, since item rarity would stay the same but prices would be lowered based on your Prestige level.

Another thing that needs to be addressed is Perk Tiers. Since BHVR has moved away from level 1 perks sometimes being better than their level 3 counterparts, its nonsensicle for anyone to keep perks at level 1 or 2. These lower level perks serve as nothing but a BP sink and clutter the bloodwebs until fully learned.

I suggest we keep perk tiers on their original characters until learned as a learnable perk, and have all learnable perks instantly max level on other characters blood webs. Effectively dealing with the grindest part of leveling a character up.

I like the idea and I would like to add something.

You get permanent 10% BP gain increase per each prestige, so you gain 30% more BPS with characters that are P3.

  • What's your favorite build/perk combo?

  • I dislike it. Majority of players disliked it during test phases and would give arguments why it won't work in the game like DBD, yet they still pushed it live.. It makes killers experience even more miserable. You're forced to use meta perks and meta killers, otherwise you won't stand a chance on high MMR. Trying to push competitive elements in asymmetrical games is a no go.

  • Yes and no, his ability was unique and you had to pull everyone into the dream world, but his free aura reading was unfair and annoying to deal with.

  • The main issue with the "build" on killers like blight is it reduces skill gap and gives you more room for mistakes. Ruin/undying with tinkerer just gives out way too much info for free basically.

  • I would say Myers. A lot of people complain about him being outdated/weak, but he can be pretty deadly in the right hands.

  • Tinkerer as a perk isn't really that strong, but if you use it on high mobility killers, it becomes a problem, especially if you combine it with anti-gen perks, such as Ruin or pop.

  • Hawkins is the only indoor map I don't mind playing as a survivor or killer. IMO there are far worse maps that should be changed.

People want to continue to exploit a glitch that provides them with something that the company did not intend for them to have, something which could potentially have legal repercussions for the company if left unaddressed. The company exercised its right to stop the glitch and even went so far as to explain why they did it.

People are still complaining because they don't like the answer and simply want to keep abusing the glitch regardless of the company's wishes or how it could affect them. In what way are their complaints valid?

I've never said people, who exploit the system are in the right. I'm talking about actual complains, which results in BHVR making less money, because they're not interested in full sets.

"If tey could do it with older licenses why not with the new ones?"

Because Capcom is not Konami. And Resident Evil is an active franchise.Mind you.

Whoever is responsible for the sets is still the one losing potential customers. I think it's still a valid complaint regardless of the reason.

  • If they could do it with older licenses, why not with the new ones? I believe it has little to do with licensing itself, but rather it's done to prevent certain parts of the cosmetics from clipping. In the end they're losing money, because sometimes I only like specific part of the set and since you can't buy separate parts, I won't buy it, simple as that.

  • I would say stranger things chapter. It came out with 2 survivors with decent perks, demogorgon and my favorite indoor map.

  • Honestly Ghostface isn't bad, except having really inconsistent stealth, since sometimes you get revelaed behind walls and sometimes survivors can't reveal when directly staring at you.But I believe that's more of a fault on network side.

As for Myers, I'm honestly surprised people want him to get completely reworked. I think his power can be devastating, if used correctly. Maybe tweak/change some of his addons, but his stalk isn't as bad as people make it seem.

  • I'll just list 3 reason why she's in need of change.

    1. You can't tell when she's using her power, which forces survivor to guess and that's not a reliable counter.
    2. She's low risk, high reward killer. She's pretty easy to learn and dominate with and barely has any downside.
    3. With the reason mentioned above, lack of counterplay and broken power makes her very frustrating to go against and makes it unfun for the other side.

Also when I play survivor I thrive on intense and fun chases, whether I die or not, but facing someone like spirit just makes my most favorite element of the game just miserable.

  • 2v8 would be awesome, if you get tired of normal game mode you would just jump into chaotic match with 2 killers and 8 survivors.

  • Fix Ghostface, so you get revealed when you should and you don't get revealed when you shouldn't.

Dbd is a far ways away from being a competitive game and the MMR system as a whole attempts to push it into a direction that requires a whole lot of sweat from both sides. Why?

-Why do we need mmr in a game that has RNG elements that make Mario party blush.

-Why do we need mmr in a game where a fraction of the roster is viable against top players.

-Why do we need mmr in a game that's completely different depending on how the map helps or hinders a killers power.

And this isn't some huge salt post, I'm just genuinely curious about who wants to play in a game where as killer you feel utterly helpless as a decent portion of the roster and as survivor you play against nurse and spirit almost every game. I wouldn't want to play a game like that, I don't think a lot of people would. I'm not even opposed on the idea of mmr, it's just the general balancing of the game is poor currently. So why have an mmr system right now, why does bhvr feel the need to just rush it out now and not when the game is healthier.

This is all assuming the mmr system even works, 4500 hour killer players are getting matched with 3 hour survivor players and we have no clue if that will ever get fixed, it certainly didn't from last time.

I was about to make a similar thread, but I was too late. I agree DBD was never and most likely will be never treated like a competitive game, so what's the point of having system that is primarily used in competitive games is beyond me. And on the top of that they'll probably keep ranks too, which is also confusing. I don't think either side wants to go against the most sweaty players, which would result into more frustrating/unfun matches. But TBH, current MM is also terrible, so it's tough.

  • Honestly it's a shame for us fans, we didn't get chapter from movies or tv series, but it is what it is. His base cosmetic is just a disaster IMO, thats why I need to rock his OG costume. But the thing that bothers me the most he doesn't have a different power, like the one with cell phones or something that would bring a unique and scary mechanic rather than just another stealthy killer.

  • Imo there's secret MMR matchmaking in the background rn. I'm always getting matched with purple or greens as a red rank against full decked out red rank killers. It's actually insane, how miserable it is in the current state.

  • image.png

Currently only 124k, I usually buy Original chapters and rarely outfits here and there.

  • I've been saying this, since she came out. She will stay broken until she gets reworked completely. Just because Nurse requires higher skill to play, that doesn't justify her being completely broken. But hey there are still people who believe her base power is fine, so yeah..

  • that's how I feel about pretty much every reworked realm. Yeah, they're better looking, but it just seems bland and worse feeling/gameplay wise.

Once again solo sucks because the ranking sucks, swf can pick the team meaning they're less likely to have a team of gen allergic survivors lol. Seriously run bond, kindred etc. And watch how little some survivors actually do to progress the game

Yeah, MM also plays the factor here, but it's also because solos lack communication and coordination, and if you combine all these things, it's a big mess.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Sorry but any talk or actions of such is a terrible idea, we all know and even the devs know and have acknowledged that rank means very little, 2 survivors in red rank currently can be so different it's insane.

So why would we talk about buffs when the ranking doesnt mean anything... because when mmr does come out guess what, you just buffed all those good solo players. I legit just had a game where someone the same rank as me just crouched and hid round one corner of the map by the time a done a full solo gen, seen her later missing every skill check yet I nearly always hit greats, know every tile, map, perks, killer counters etc. Yet were the same rank. Do you actually monitor and see how little your team actually do generators or know how to loop?

YOU CANNOT BUFF SOLOS. Do people not remember high mmr games? Even Scott Jun who now supports swf and say solos need a buff hated the mmr because of how stupid hard it was... they was mostly solos but now you want them buffed??? What? Or are we now saying all good players at high mmr are swf? Because that's not true...

Yes people make mistakes vs swf, but saying solos need a buff is wrong. You cannt buff people who are still learning, because when they do learn they're now much stronger. When people say swf is the stronger role they arent including teammates that cant play.

But what does my opinion matter, I'm not a streamer. It's not like my experience since game launch, consistently doing well against all types of killers, knowing pretty much everything you wish to know about the game (except addon names). As someone who plays solo near 90% of the time, the other 10% with my misses who btw struggles alot btw, I'd still perk her over a random, why? Coms...

(Btw I dont group up with other good randoms because of the advantages) if you think coms dont provide any advantage then you're lying to yourself. Sure not everyone will be doing every fallout but every bit of info helps. Remember swfs would be weaker if they was solo. Not because solo sucks because of the inefficiency that can happen when off coms which is a normal part of the game and its balanced that way.

All respect to scott and other players, but no I'm sorry buffing solos isn't a good idea till mmr has been out at least half a year for things to adjust to the system.

You do realize that solos are the reason why SWF is strong, right? If they bring solos on SWF level, they will have more room to nerf/adjust things to make it more fair for both sides. In the current situation Solo experience is just miserable compared to SWF and any nerf would still hurt solos more than SWF.

  • Don't remove it, the whole reason there's such a clownfiesta going on is because devs and people treat it as something special. What they should have done instead is just give the charm to everyone without any unnecessary hype behind it and it would be much better IMO.

  • I don't want to justify their actions, but I never notice what charms are survivors wearing, because they're barely noticeable, but maybe it's just me. If they admit to targeting you just because of using specific charm, just report them.

  • I'm actually surprised people say Myers is outdated. His power is build-up similarly to Oni's and if used correctly can be game changing. I would change/buff some of his addons, but that's pretty much it. IMO one of the most balanced killers up to date.

Asking for LGBTQ+ representation in a game that already has multiple heterosexual relationships mentioned is only asking for equal treatment.

so stop with your labeling. It’s not the same as asking for Muslim rep because we have no inclusions of any religious chars at all (except maybe Plague. But that’s not an actual religion of the real world. And the devs have already stated they don’t want to add ‚real‘ religion)

if you actually don’t care you wouldn’t care. But you are heavily against it while you don’t seem to have a problem with the already included heterosexual relations.

But that guy has a point, BHVR as a company stated they support LGBTQ+. They will release content related to that, when it's ready and people trying to dictate and enforce it is the wrong approach. IMO the best thing Devs could do is release such chapter without too much hype behind it and treat it as a normal thing, because it is normal after all. I believe this way people would adapt way much faster, rather than saying "HEY GUYS WE'RE ADDING GAY CHARACTER TO THE GAME, OKAY?".

  • It's a mental thing you have to overcome, taunting was and still is a part of sports/games. Some people do it, because they find it funny, others because they try to disrupt your concentration. The best advice would be to try to build up a mental toughness. In the end it doesn't benefit the survivor, if anything they waste time doing it.

The biggest complaint about NOED is that it rewards killers for failing their objective.

However, protecting generators is not the killer's objective.

The killer's only goal is to prevent survivors from escaping. Protecting generators is a way to buy time towards completing the objective.

Many survivors think that when the 5th gen pops the trial is over. That is wrong. Especially in a tight match.

I will agree that in a tight match where maybe 1 or 2 people have been sacrificed and the last gen pops and it's a race to the finish, NOED popping sucks. And yes it sucks solo. And it may be needing a small change.

But, when you load in and the last gen pops within 4 minutes, you had both time to search for the totems, and game ability ti outplay the killer to find the totems.

Tl:Dr NOED doesn't reward killers for failing their objective. It allows them a final push to achieve the objective. Not gen defence, but the wholesale slaughter of baby dwights and blendettes.

Absolutely have to disagree. NOED basically is an RNG perk, as a Killer you have to hope they don't find all the totems. The best way to describe this perk would be: It rewards bad players and punishes bad players. Basically a lose-lose situation for both sides. A good coordinated team will most likely cleanse all the totems, while Solo or new players get punished for reaching the end game, even if killer played bad.

And also if protecting generators is not killer's objective, why is it listed in official Help&Tutorials section under Patrolling Generators? You as a killer should find an efficient patrol route and protect them. IMO it's an outdated perk, that is in need of rework.

  • I still don't understand why shifting meta is a bad thing. I'd rather face someone with lucky break, so they drop a second chance perk. You will need to run it with iron will in order to make it really work.

  • This is result of a poor balancing decisions. They balance the game in form of perks, instead of addressing the issues. There's literally no reason for killer to not tunnel, especially when there's no obsession in the match.
