I agree, that’s one of the reasons why I haven’t bought the recent rift, as I’m not interested in multiple reskins of 1 charm
-
What these 3 killers have in common is they are boring to verse, which is the biggest issue and source of many complaints imo. For me personally I try to avoid them as much as possible, because I don't enjoy playing as/against them for the reason mentioned above.
As a survivor you are devoid of interaction against Deathslinger or Spirit, because the only thing you are left with against them is to guess whether they ######### up or not.
Freddy on the other hand brings "boringness" on whole new level. He can snare you to death, what can I say about this one, it's a slowdown mechanic that forces you to leave one place to another, where the same scenario happens all over again and the worst thing about snares is they aren't limited and there's not any kind of cooldown either. On top of that he counters BT and has teleport, which can be faked. I'm a huge Freddy fan, but it's heartbreaking to see him more hated than before rework.
In the end we all play to have fun and these killers aren't fun to play against for most of the survivors. I'm not necessarily asking for nerfs, but they should rather make them more interactive for both sides.
-
He's not really OP, but it can be a pain in the ass, if you stare directly at him and still don't reveal him for some unknown reason.
-
Instead of trying to deflate my point with some outdated challenge, you should actually try to understand it. I never said Nurse is of the strongest killers just because there are players out there who got multiple 4ks in row. I just gave an example to people claiming she's weak and in need of buffs.
-
Exhaustion addons were band-aid solution to counter having multiple sprint bursts, dead hards, etc. in one chase, because back in old days you could recover from exhaustion while running. Now when it's not a thing anymore, they're not really needed and it's just matter of a time until they rework them completely.
-
Definitely still one of the strongest killers in the game. There are some players who are on 50-100 4ks streak with her. Apart from the bugs she has, she's in a good spot. I'm actually glad she's not as popular as before, since it wasn't a very pleasant experience seeing her every second or third game on purple/red ranks.
-
To be honest, either side can be considered a "chore" if you play it way too much. You will slowly stop having fun and start noticing the negative aspects of the role. Taking a break is actually good choice if you're not really having fun. For me personally 2-3 weeks break work the best to get me back into the "mood" for DBD.
-
There wasn't any info regarding event on stream, so we will most likely just get the new chapter and new offering that gives you 104% more bps, just like last year.
-
I'm hoping for a new gamemode, which is rather unlikely, but gotta believe! Also would like to see rework for dailies.
-
Completely acceptable and legit strat. If anyone's here to blame, it's the survivors themselves for misplaying. If they threaten or insult you for this, just ignore it and move on, you don't have to feel guilty at all.
-
I like the idea, it would make certain situations more fun and interesting for survivors, especially when it’s 2 v 1.

Plague.
Underrated by a large margin.
There is the mistaken silly notion that by not cleansing she is suddenly no longer a threat.
I almost always use Dark Devotion & Infectious Fright. Non Cleansers are the easiest to kill.
She's not underrated, but her design was a disaster from the start., you either stay broken whole game or give her ranged AOE. She's not op, but extremly annoying to verse, especially with the slowdown perks.
-
The only positive thing about new chapter is you can buy it with shards. I dislike spirit and anything related to her.
-
I mean there’s nothing wrong with premium rift, but the grind to complete it is insane. I can imagine completing this one, but having to do this every 3 months I don’t know . They should definitely make it easier for people that can’t take play every single day.
-
I would make it non-hex perk. Each time you hook survivor, you gain movement speed and exposed status effect on survivors for 15 seconds once exit gates are powered. This change would reward killers who got multiple hooks during the match rather than campers.
-
Honestly I can’t imagine Jason without his mother commenting on every single action he does.😂
-
and yet there are still people who claim survivor is chill and easy compared to killer. Yeah 4 man coordinated swf is a lot stronger, but solo survivor experience is just awful. You have to deal with campers, tunnelers and dumb teammates, which is super frustrating. I’m rank 1 on both sides and imo it’s much more relaxing playing killer than solo survivor.
-
Plagues design was flawed since she was made. You either stay broken whole game or cleanse and make her even more powerful. She's pretty annoying and should be completely reworked imo.

If you call playing Spirit abusing, what would you call intentional DC to open the hatch?
thats an exploit
-
You guys don’t get one thing, if DC becomes bannable, people will just start suiciding and in the end it will have the same effect. While I don’t encourage or agree with DCS, I kinda understand why people do it.
People currently abuse spirit, since she’s easy to play and hard to counter, which isn’t fun for survivors. Even devs themselves are aware of her overperforming.
The only thing survivor can rely on is hoping spirit guesses wrong, also let’s not forget passive phasing, no window vault animation + impossible to blind her during vaulting/pallet breaking. If anyone thinks this is fair and alright I would suggest playing survivor on high ranks against spirits like every 2nd,3rd game.
-
She's still deadly in right hands, even after deserved nerfs. She was the only killer that would ignore every defense mechanic survivor had with little to no drawbacks. Now with the cooldown survivor actually has chance to gain distance and juke nurse, instead of having nurse right behind your back after 100 failed blinks.
-
There's an easy answer to your question, Demogorgon is a killer locked behind paygate and as long as he doesn't overperfom he's not appealing to most of the players. I really enjoy playing as/playing against Demogorgon, but I tend to play more balanced killers rather than stomping people with spirit/billy over and over again.
-
People claiming that spirit is balanced and fun to verse have no idea what balance means. I recommend those "spirit mains" to actually try survivor side for once, especially on red ranks when it's spirit like every second game.
-
Nurse was made when infinites were a thing back then. Her power was broken and had a little to no counterplay, when used correctly, that’s why I didn’t play her in the first place, because she’s not fun to verse. Now that she can’t spam blinks it will be less frustrating for survivors. Definitely looking forward to play as/against her on PTB.
-
10$ is half of the game price. They should either lower the price or make every skin also obtainable with iridescent shards with exception for licensed cosmetics.

I agree with your reasoning, but everyone would run it with dead hard, borrowed, ds or adrenaline. Your proposition is unacceptable, but i agree that perk is useless now.
I have 2 propositions to not make it broken again.
1. Obsession - your idea. Non obsession - 5 stuns but no aura reading. In my opinion it fits lorewise and with perk desq. Also prevents beeing hit by it 4 times a match, one or two are fine.
2. Once perk is activated its not working automatically rather you activate it to negate one time beeing downed within next 3/4/5 seconds. Can be baited and needs at least a pinch of skill and thought to use.
Biggest problem of old mom was getting hit by it 4 times with no counterplay. While it is fine by itself bt, ds, dh and adrenaline combo so well with it survivor actually had to actually want to die to get downed.
Numbers can be always tweaked, but 5 stuns in one match might bit be a bit too much. Also don't forget it works only against an action that would put you from HEALTHY State to DYING state, which means MOM has two counters: 1. Injure the survivor 2. Don't get stunned by the same survivor 3 times.
-
It is really unlikely that it's coming this week, it's probably coming within next 2 weeks.

@OMagic_ManO said:
Making it a exposed down perk is not good, I was thinking after you pick up a Survivor from Dying to Injured, you get the same appliances.
I don't quite understand what you mean, but the whole point of this idea is to counter perks like NOED, Make your choice and killers with 1 shot power, etc. But you need to get 3 stuns and you can use it only once per match, which makes it fair IMO.

The thing is that: If you play Trapper on a large map, the killer suffers so that almost 100% of the game will be lost if you play LEGAL, by this I mean, (without focus), unless you do FOCUS, it is the reason in which some killers want to WIN YES or Yes, so they play DIRTY, that is not the solution either.
Yeah, but that’s just matter of RNG, since killers like trapper almost never perform well on large maps.
-
Unfortunately DBD is type of game, that allows both sides to choose whether they want their opponent to have fun or not. Getting new players isn’t really an issue for DBD, however making them stay is another story. Only the strongest that are able to endure these negative things will remain.
-
Genrush is a thing, because some maps are either too big or just not balanced at all. That’s why most of the killers with low mobility are more likely to lose pressure, unless you have very good early game. There are multiple solutions to this issue, such as new fun objectives for survivors, more balanced maps, etc.
-
My suggestion would be:
For each safe unhook you gain a token, up to maximum of 3 tokens. When you're the last survivor alive you gain bonus for each token gained.
- token. You open exit gates 25% faster.
- tokens. You open exit gates 50% faster.
- tokens. You're able to see hatch aura.
-
BHVR got license for the mask from company that makes costumes. So there's little to no chance that we're getting any characters from the movie franchise.

This is a terrible argument. Battle Passes are a predatory practice that preys on people's fear of missing out, and promotes unhealthy habits like grinding for long periods of time in order to not miss out on content.
The people who say it's "cosmetic only" really are downplaying the voices of players that strive for 100% in the games they play. A Battle Pass also incentivizes players to play only one game, and favors those that have too much time on their hands, and not those that have full time jobs or college. It's a very anti consumer practice that people really shouldn't be apologetic towards. God forbid you're interested in MULTIPLE games that have passes, like Apex Legends, Fortnite, Dauntless etc etc. It's extremely anti consumer.
The only way I'll be ok with the Rift is if they put the cosmetics in the store after the season ends, considering they told us they don't want to make exclusive content anymore. So they possibly are going back on something they said in the past.
Wouldn't be the first time honestly. And no, I'm not going to forgive the Rift being there just cause we have the Archives. All content added to a game should be accessible for the duration of the game's life span. This goes for every single video game ever made. This also isn't a F2P, so the fact someone has to either pay for more content that isn't DLC chapters, or spend dozens of hours grinding to get the necessary Shards is really putting a bad taste in my mouth. It isn't about caring what OTHER people spend their money on. It's about bad business practices that prey on certain aspects of the human psyche in order to generate artificial playtime.
I'm glad there are more people out there who dislike scummy business models. This game is slowly transforming from unique game to casual cash grab. I remember they wanted this game to be unique and serious when it comes to horror genre, but it's slowly becoming comedy with the silly skins they make, but hey it's BHVR, they change opinions every week so nothing surprising after all..
-
- Freddy seems too complex and probably isn't going to do much against decent survivors. I personally like the current Freddy, he just needs few tweaks and he would be ok.
- Regarding map reworks, instead of reworking Haddonfield or The game maps they chose to rework my favorite map pre-school, which isn't definitely in the worst state right now.
- Battlepass doesn't really belong in horror survival game, but since they chose to to copy business model of popular games, rather than keep being unique what can we do..
- I'm not even excited for Ghostface anymore. He's not the character from the movie franchise, which everyone was asking for. They instead decided to get license for the mask from a company that makes costumes.. Maybe they couldn't get license to movie franchise, but still this is such a disappointment.
- Archives is the only thing I like about upcoming content, we will finally get more lore and find out more info about specific characters.
-
If gens are being done too quickly or survivor is really toxic, then tunneling is justified IMO, however if everyone is playing fair and killer decides to camp and tunnel, despite the fact gens are getting done relatively slow, then it's really scummy move and killer probably doesn't want you to have fun.
The main problem of this game is it lets you decide whether you want your opponents to have fun or not. If devs could address the issue, community would be a lot more positive.
-
I heard from a streamer today that he's standalone. Can't really confirm, but there's lower chance we're getting chapter.
-
They don't really need to punish people for lobby dodging. On the other hand what they really need to do is remove profile/name checking in lobby. There should be a SWF indicator so you can prepare better, but you shoudn't choose what opponents you verse.

Oh jeez, not another one of these. This is the fifth one this week. And it's only the second day.
Look, buddy, not gonna say anything cause I'm tired right now, but please, use the tools handed to you to find the totems. Hell, get a SWF group or something. Just stop this pointless thread.
I don't think you have enough time to do gens and totems against a camper, especially when you're solo. I'm all for NOED as long as it doesn't reward campers.
-
I’m not even surprised, everytime a new patch drops, more and more issues are introduced. Let’s not forget the fact each time engine gets updated, the game runs and looks worse, even though it was supposed to fix the mentioned issues.
Another cause might be infinite loading screens/DCS. And I don’t know wether it’s just me, but I see a pretty big increase of moris lately.
What I would recommend in the current situation is to make operation health and focus at least 3 months on fixing core issues of the game. It’s not too late, they still have time to wake up.
-
IMO it was intentional so people would actually watch the movies and get hyped. But if I'm wrong and it was really an accident, then someone is in a real trouble.
-
It's true that complaining about literally every change is just dumb, but you have to understand there are some issues that have not been fixed to this date. Complaints about infinite loading screens, new rank system and some balance changes are justified, since we had them for months and devs still didn't really do anything about it.

They went a step into the right direction but shouldn't have made it so hard to gain a pip or safe pip. Your rank now really depends on how your other teammates will do and if they, and you, can make the game last long enough.
I agree, but let’s not forget that it also heavily depends on the killer. If he doesn’t get any hooks or chases, both sides get punished.
-
Yeah, as long as you have pallets/windows nearby, it’s pretty easy to avoid his chainsaw, however with good perks or when he hooks someone in the basement, thats The scenario where his strength shows up, having an AOE ability that makes survivors think twice before survivor go for a save.

I don't stream, and there are plenty of other popular streamers doing it better than me, you can learn from them.
I have yet to see a popular streamer double pipping on red ranks. You should start your streaming career today, because you seem to be the only one that is able to achieve it.
-
Just two pipped without even trying. How are things on the killer side?
What ranks are you playing on? If you have no problem double pipping on red ranks I would like to see some footage so I can learn from the best.
-
I have invested so much time into this game, because the idea is really original and combined with the grind, you can have fun for thousand of hours, but the execution is just horrible. Awful hitboxes, uninterruptible animations and many annoying bugs. Overall balance of the game is just questionable. The key to actually enjoy this game is take take breaks for few days or even weeks, because the more I play, the more it gets frustrating and I actually start to focus on the flaws of the game rather than enjoying it.
-
The thing I really dislike about NOED is it rewards campers and bad killers, especially if you're solo against a camper. That's not a good game design, since you're forced to get gens ASAP. You can't waste time by walking around the map looking for totems without knowing how many have been cleansed. As some peope mentioned already, NOED has counter, but not a reliabe one.
-
I still don't understand why people DC. I understand you don't want to deal with X killer or you're tired of being camped, etc, but you can just simply suicide on hook in the worst case scenario and move on rather than leaving the match after you get downed.
