So, do you think he's bad now? Unplayable in his newly non-OP state?

Or is he actually perfectly fine and on the stronger end of the Killer cast?

He wasn't op before the nerf lmao

I managed to get on survivor by spamming it in the menu. Maybe give it a try.

    Yeah spamming works

Im glad they disabled her for a while. Playing against a killer that can teleport through walls and hit you no matter what you do isnt fun. This is our chance to go against killers that have more interactive mechanics.

By interactive you mean 10 times weaker.

I am curious how long Hex totems usually last in your experience.

Genuinely happy if they last longer than a minute. Totems arent hard to find and half the time survs spawn 5 feet from them, they spawn in the open, or they spawn next to gens.

    Change your attitude.

    That's a fix

Or take a break for 2 weeks, you clearly need it.

The game can be played ultra competitive the other 50 weeks of the year.

This is 2 weeks for those who like it silly. Deal with it.

Yeah cuz its apparently impossible for devs to make an event fun without adding in another "oops i need another second chance".

Heaven forbid we all have a chill event and a fun time instead of being ultra sweatlords 24/7

Its literally anti fun if youre not playing survivor genius. Ive had survivors use these to make chases even longer by hopping in one.

    How is it getting abused?

‘To that, I don't know. It's a damn addiction I guess, wanting to feel some semblance of power? Who knows’

Now it makes sense, so you want to feel power. But because this game is balanced and you can’t overpower any victims it’s no longer fun. Got it

Did you honestly just call dbd "balanced"? This game is so far from balanced its hilarious.

Yesterday Otzdarva made a stream when he tried to prove this point.

So he took every killer, he used really good perks and god tier addons and played.

He obliterated every lobby (most of the time, it was with 4 gens left). Of course sometimes survivors were'nt that strong, but still they at least played DS/DH.

As a killer main (95%/5% killer/survivor). I do not know what to think about ? Am I delusional to think that survivors have advantages over the killer ? But my POV is biaised by the fact I only played killer since I started plyaing (around 200h)

I would like to know what do you think about this ? Does it prove that the game is not survivor sided ? What is your POV on that ? Please also let know other people which role you main !

Otz has a brain the size of massachusets. Someone as good as him ofc is gonna perform better than someone who plays casually. Im a red rank killer and have been for a couple years now. I wouldnt consider myaelf even close to him in skill. The game is 100 percent survivor sided and otz being one of the best players out there doesnt prove otherwise.

As much as the new map looks great there is a very big issue with the audio, in that the constant ink blobs coming up from the floor sound like survivor noises

I’m sure I’m not alone saying I’ve wasted so long looking for a survivor that wasn’t even there because I could have sworn I’d heard footsteps or someone healing nearby, only for it to be the ink

If the ink sound effects could just be toned down so they didn’t mislead you it would be great

Yeah i noticed that right away. Ink blobs sound exactly like bandaging/healing noises.

Both the forums and the subreddit always were quite killer sided, treating killers like the underdogs while survivors as the big bad villain, but recently this has been worst than ever.

These forums have mostly become an echo chamber for killers who want the game to be shaped around them.

Like yes, I understand that this game is survivor sided, meaning that if both sides try their hardest and play almost perfectly, the survivors will mostly win.

But that doesnt mean yall can just act as if people who play survivor are the scum of the earth.

And holy hell, if the devs really decide to follow the general consensus of the forums, all matches would be a 4K at 5 gens.

The way some of yall get so offended by somebody's virtual avatar crouches over and over again.

Even I have gotten quite stressed because of this game, but I have never, never, never put blame on the survivors or the devs, because, as you so often repeat, "They bought the game, they play how they want"

Recently, almost every post has a variation of "survivor easy and no stress, so survivor players are babies. Killer hard and have stress, so killer players are oppressed".

If killer is so hard, then go play survivor and try it out. If you say it's easy and stress free, there are three things that could make you say that. 1.Low MMR for the skills you have 2.You stress yourself when playing killer. 3. You're lying.

Many times, when you're having a stressful time playing a game, all you need to do is relax and remember, its just a game, and the results don't matter.

But it seems that too many of you have put hours into getting better, and feel you deserve results, and therefore if you dont get those results, you'll feel cheated, which causes you to stress.

Yes, sometimes the game really is unfair, or atleast feels very unfair. But most of this unfairness is created by your expectations.

Hell, for some time i had quit DBD when i had around 700 hours in the game. Because I thought I deserved to win almost every match. And that simply wasn't true.

I play around 70% killer and 30% survivor if it matters.

    Alright, rant over

Dude survivors CONSTANTLY act like entitled babies. Survivors will be toxic midgame and in endgame chat regaurdless of the outcome of the game. They win they call u trash, you lose they call you trash AND a camper/tunneler. Also i play both sides and i gotta say survivor is so much easier and stress free its not even funny. A killer who wants to 4k needs to be both playing a viable killer, and against semi decent survivors has to make sure all his time is spent stopping gens and downing. If either takes too long even once they lose. I dont mind losing honestly. What does annoy me is when killers raise concerns about how survivor is power role in a 1v4 game and they get shut down as whiners. Killers are as at least as important as the survivors and eventually killers will keep getting tired of survivors having almost all the power.

  • I feel like the biggesr problem is that if youre playing a killer that cant tp/sprint across the map, you basically get punished for hitting healthy survivors. I feel like if youre gonna give survs squad buffs that can be activated an infinite number of times killers need a broad buff. I feel like if survs get a speed burst killers should have no/reduced hit cooldown time. Do survs REALLY need a sprint burst and a killer alow down for getting hit? They already have half a dozen second chance perks, with more on the way.

  • @Junylar said:

Try playing soloQ survivor. It will change your world.

SoloQ is annoying but more often than not it depends on the killer being played. If youre not nurse, spirit, blight your chances go way down. Everything in the game currently favors survivors. All survivors have to do is hold forward at the start of a game when they get hit and if you chase them you lose 2 gens at least. The game borderline punishes you for hitting survs.

  • @gendoss said:

Survivors have gotten nothing but nerfs since the game came out...

Because survs were 100 times more broken on release anyway. If you watch gameplay from release and tell me survs who could insta fast vault was balanced ur a survivor one trick. Boon totems in their current form are a huge buff to survs. They can replace hexes and add AOE to parts of the map as many times as they want because killers cant break totems. Survs have been the overall dominant role. Not to say killers dont have broken addons and what not but every killer that at one time was considered "broken" has been nerfed or reworked. The only buffs killers in general have gotten are things like decreased pickup and hook times. Every time killers rely on a perk it gets nerfed meanwhile i can name like 8 surv perks with no cooldown and no downside.

  • @RemoveBubbaBlack said:

And the typical BS counter argument holds ZERO weight. The problem is not Bubba wearing a black person’s skin, it’s the fact that this cosmetic is used 10x more than the Meg/Jake/Dwight ones purely for the fact that it’s black.

This is racist, because players are specifically using it above the others and targeting people playing the black characters. As well as using it as a revenge for Claudette being ‘stealthy’, even though Nea is just as good, if not better now at being immersed with cosmetics. Yet you don’t see people saying Nea is blending. It’s all racial stereotypes.

The Bubba players who choose to exclusively use the Claudette face are some of the most disgusting players on the platform. BHVR is apparently working to remove it, which is great, but it needs to happen as players are using it as blackface.

This matters so little its not even funny. There are real instances of racism and bigotry in the world and its people like you that draw focus away from ACTUAL issues regaurding racism. This shouldnt be anywhere near the top of the devs priority list when it comes to balancing the game when its been almost unplayable for like 6 months.

  • @FearlessHunter said:

Not saying I would want this to be a thing but with how many people say gens get done too fast I wonder if a secondary objective wouldn't be too bad to implement.

My idea would be that survivors need to find fuel before they can work on a gen, there are 10 fuel canisters around the map to prevent killers camping the last one or survivors holding one hostage. Once they put the fuel in the gen it can be worked on for the rest of the match. Only 1 fuel canister is required per gen.

Again I don't think it's really needed but with how many people are saying games go by too quickly I wonder if it may be an idea worth considering. :)

My idea would be whenever a gen is completed the survivor(s) would be given parts from the gen (ones that were replaced maybe?) and use those to repair breaker boxes. Tho the more i think abt it i see some problems with it. Idk i think it should be something to do with actually routing the power to the gates.

Maybe adapt a bit of talent to ur roll instead of damn near cheating n let a damn survivor have something for once

If you honestly think killers have the advantage over competent survs you deserve ur grey rank.

  • @Nathan13 said:

That would make Boone perks terrible.

No it wouldnt. All it would do is make it so sirvs cant infinitely relight a totem in the same spot.

  • @indieeden7 said:

Okay, but only if we make it so that survivors don't need to bless the totem, it is done automatically, their effects are map-wide, and it takes the killer 14 seconds to break. Oh, and survivors should also be able to interrupt the killer from breaking it.

Boon effects are hardly comparable to those of hexes, their fundamentals are completely different, treating them the exact same as hexes would be silly.

Yeah they are different. Hexes can be deleted for the entire match while boon perks can be reactivated as many times as the surv wants and can destroy killer perks while activating them. Killers have special abilities or skills and MURDER people but theyre unable to break some bones lying on the ground.

I am a killer. 2 last survivors alive, one slugged at the other part of the map, hatch very close of him. I found the last survivor crouched on a corner, i go to him and bodyblock him until the slugged survivor bleeds out to secure the last kill 100%. I get 4 man reported in endgame chat by the swf group for "keeping the game hostage while the game is still progressing".

My questions: Would you give another chance to your opponent playing chess when you have him on check mate? And do moderators check the content of the report or does it go by volume of reports even if they are false?

Yeah its a vicious cycle. Logically in my eyes theres more toxic survs cuz theres more survivors than killers. I play both sides and I get the appeal of f cking with the killer a bit. If im messing with them and they smack me for it tho ill take the L

it became tunneling the moment you didn't drop her again.

Going back when someone gets unhooked isn't tunneling. Hitting them cause you cannot assess if they're trying to take a bt hit or just got unfortunate with the direction pick isn't tunneling. picking them up for ds isn't tunneling.

But the moment you say 'okay, they didn't have bt, they didn't have ds or missed it, let's hook them again' that is tunneling. maybe swap stbfl for whispers or play more survivors to learn where to hide.

Dude youre literally kidding right? The killers are supposed to KILL. If a surv is stupid enough to run at the killer post unhook without bt or ds and the killer has them on their shoulder you want the killer to drop them and walk away? No dude killers are supposed to kill. If you give killers free hits/downs thats your fault not the killers.

This forum has a lot of opinions on balance, but i feel like we don't often get a thread thats just about asking one another what balance we personally wish was in the game. This is that thread, im here to ask you guys what changes/balances/reworks/nerfs you'd make if it was guranteed to be added to the game? Personally i'd give deathslinger a lullaby like huntress and trickster, its weird he never had one since it makes sense for huntress and trickster to have one.

I would increase the knives trickster takes to down but laceration has to be manually removed by survivors. Kinda like plagues sickness meter. Id make bouncy knives base kit. Also id change his name to something besides "The Trickster" like The Idol or The Popstar idk.

  • @PyramidFootLicker said:

Like I'm not one to play devil's advocate or fence sit when it comes to discussions between two parties especially with survivor and killer side of the community however as much as i agree mostly with killer's frustrations with dealing with perks that are too forgiving to the survivor I really have to ask ... Can you really blame them?

Like I seriously think that a good amount of killer mains see other killer mains with actual good points for the games balance and go into their games with the mentality that all survivors are out to get them or are toxic just because they got stunned with a pallet once or something. God the amount of times I've been camped on hook, like not as a last resort or because the killer saw all of us no... CAMPED from the start of the game, killer gets no bites so they go on a chase, then I get unhooked finally and they abandon chase to go back for me. Even with SWF there's not much you can do to avoid a deathhook, just struggle for as long as you can and hope the gens get done.

I'm not against killers using the strongest add ons, perks, hell take NOED at least it'll get me to search the map and play the game. But being tunelled out of the match at the start, no items in hand no teabagging etc really blows. And 9/10 times those killers are super toxic about doing it too. One example is a killer tunnelling the whole game and only getting one kill and accusing players of gen rushing when the case was just a teammate being good and mind gaming them and them not knowing when to abandon a chase.

Like I seriously try to advocate for killer mains I really do, playing killer is so stressful against a good team of survivors with meta perks, but with tunneling and camping still being as strong of a strat to get an early kill I can see why so many survivors run the same few perks over and over, especially in solo queue where it seems like a hard requirement to run kindred or borrowed time or DS etc etc. (Personally I have nothing against slugging)

Honestly it takes one toxic swf to set a killer up to play toxic their very next game. I play nice usually (no camping, tunneling, etc) but i find that the favor isnt ususally returned. The amt of times ive played "fair" and had 3 survs tbag at the gate is too damn high. Frankly a lot of survivors lack self awareness for when the killer is playing nice.

  • @Northener1907 said:

Q: Have you any killer rules?

    I have some rules:

When i play PH, Cheryl will survive.

When i play Myers, Laurie will survive (because she is always surviving againts Myers)

When i play other killers, Kate or Leon will have hatch (because both of them my main survivors)

If i am playing againts really bad survivors, i am playing slower for give them chance.

Maybe these rules seem strange to you but i love playing like this. Have you any rule? Shoot to topic!

I never tunnel. I always look for the unhooker unless i have no other option, i never camp unless the gates are powered and i have no kills, and if ive gotten 3 kills and the last survivor gives up i let them live. I also dont slug for the 4k. If a survivor is going out of their way to be a jerk i might alter them slightly but it doesnt happen often.

  • @Wavy said:

How many god-level SWF's did you actually go against?. SWF is pretty common at red ranks, yes. But most of the SWF's are chill and they are not really good. I dont understand why you take this game and SWF too seriously. If you lose, just give a cheers to your opponent and move on. I think you exaggerate the power of SWF. As i said you dont go against a good SWF too often. You cant win every match, accept it.

As for the keys, i dont think key escapes happen often. And i know even though you complain about the keys you bring it at least once. If you hate keys SO much just bring franklins, its not that hard.

The things you should complain about are Spirit, Nurse, Ruin + Undying, Wraith and OP Myers addons. Killer is the power role in this game if you know how to play it.

Dear killers, if you expect to win every match, just play with bots with the new update.

I refuse to believe you actually think this. Survivors escape with keys all the time. Red and purple keys are still more common than they should be. No way youre not baiting.

Uh... hate to be the barer of bad news to you two, but Plunderers doesn't 'Gurantee' a key, and keys in chests are already p rare. Without Plunderer's, it's a 7% chance (according to my quick Google Search) and with it, it's 14%.

Of course, that can be effected by Luck Offerings, and other perks (Up the Ante, Appraisal, Ace in The Hole) but you can also help negate chests if you're genuinely that afraid of it with both Hoarder and Broken Coin (Granted, I wouldn't recommend running either, purely because of my next point- but hey, if you hate chests/don't wanna deal with the chances, that's your choice.) Plus, usually to get better chances, you have to run two or more perks to dedicate to chests, which just means two less perks to worry about being hard-to-counter meta perks, like UB, DS, BT, DH, etc.

Idk, I run Ace+Plunderer's nearly every Survivor game, and keys aren't as common as you'd think, even with the two. (And I refuse to run more then the two, because I don't want to sit in boxes all game...) Sure, I get them sometimes, but the amount of times you get them and either get to use them yourself (without letting your whole team die) or get to a point where you have to use them to escape are low. Pog, game saving keys are a rarity.

Idk, to me it just sounds like OP got unlucky.

Yeah no theyve been bugged and key drop rates are way high. It been this way since the trickster update. Not saying its been like this but bhvr simply managed to highlight everything wrong with keys.

  • @ggezbaby said:

yeah, it’s kind of bs that you can run plunderers and basically get a guaranteed key every match. or in most cases, you don’t even have to run plunderers. i agree, keys are rough. patiently waiting for the nerf they said was coming but not sure how they’ll end up doing that. i still think keys & moris should have been nerfed at the same time, doesn’t matter how much more “complex” it is to change keys. moris were generally the counter to keys.

Its funny cuz the gane that inspired me to post the hatch spawned next to a hooked surv AND they all hopped in at the exact same time meaning they were swf. I agree also nerfing moris seperately ahead of keys, which at this rate will be 6+ months apart from each other, kinda just shows which side of the game they seem to care about more.

  • @Taijitu said:

Let me start by saying that I'm not a frequent flyer of this forum. In fact, I've literally never been here before and I just created an account to write this post begging the devs to please, PLEASE stop buffing killer.

I'm a killer main. I've always been a killer main. But I don't play killer anymore.

Why? Because it's just too easy. Laughably easy, to the point of being boring. It feels like I can mindlessly tunnel survivors, hardly ever use perks or abilities, give no thought to strategy and still rank up.

I came here to share my opinion, and I didn't even have to look 5 posts down to find other players writing about the same thing. So I know I'm not crazy for thinking this or the only person who has noticed a significant shift in balance with the last few updates.

I'm not sure what the impetus is for all the recent changes favoring killers and making life harder for survivors, and like I said I'm not the kind of player who's constantly on forums keeping up with news and posts from the devs. So if that information is already out there somewhere, please enlighten me. But this is the theory I have come up with...

In the past, survivor and killer were fairly balanced. However, at the higher ranks, survivors tended to play in premade teams using Discord, giving them a significant advantage compared to the way the game was designed to be played (without voice chat). The game was no longer balanced at the higher ranks, survivors won more often than killers, and maybe killer became less popular as a result. In order to counteract the apparent imbalance, the devs decide to implement patch after patch full of buffs for killers and nerfs for survivors, and now we are where we are today.

In my opinion, this was the wrong approach. Killer is now way too easy in standard matchmaking, and even when you "lose" a game (3 or 4 survivors escaping) you'll generally still get enough points to not lose pips. Hell, you can even sometimes still gain pips even though you lost.

If I'm correct and the reason for the killer buffs is to attempt to nullify the advantage of voice chat used by high rank survivor teams, then the only way you can ever make that fair is to put voice chat in the game as a standard feature for survivor players. I get that it ruins the immersion, but without that there will always be a discrepancy/imbalance between whether or not the survivors are using voice chat.

A second (and perhaps better) solution would be to rework the pip system for survivors to incentivize play that actually wins games. Combine Evader and Unbroken together into one emblem, then add a second emblem related to gen progress. For example, Lightbringer could be left how it is (points granted based on individual player's percentage of the team's total gen progress) with the second generator emblem being shared among the whole team based on the team's total gen progress so that survivors who distract the killer while their teammates do gens (especially if they are keeping the killer busy primarily through stealth/hiding and not spending much time in a chase) still get credit for helping the team. This would also solve the problem of survivors getting punished with low points/pips when they have a great game where they are never or rarely found/caught/hooked by the killer. Because let's be honest... Gen progress is what wins games for survivors, but it's not what gets you pips. Right now there's way too much incentive for people to everything EXCEPT gens, and people who are focused on actually winning the game (prioritizing gen progress over Altruism/Evader/Unbroken points) get punished with fewer pips.

But yeah, anyway... Regardless of what you guys think the solution is, the current state of the game ain't it. It's ridiculous how many terrible killers I see running around at rank 1 and 2 because it's so easy for them to win right now (or still earn pips even when they lose). And for those of us who actually know how to play killer well, it's just not fun anymore when I don't even have to strategize at all or make any kind of creative use of my perks/abilities/add-ons... I just mindlessly run at people and M1, and even on the rare occasion that the survivors escape I still get enough points to get pips. In other words: boring as hell.

    /endrant

Youre actually outside of your mind if you think killers are too strong rn. They literally just added in one of the weakest killers to ever exist in game. Pop got nerfed, undying got nerfed a month after release, the only reason killers win is when a team isnt coordinated. However in red ranks survs know when its appropriate to go for save and when its better to work on gens. Even aolo que survs in red ranks have a huge advantage if the killer makes 1 or 2 mistakes.

  • @scenekiller said:

Speaking as a survivor main, the DS change was needed, for sure. However, it doesn’t do virtually anything to prevent tunneling (not that it fully did in the first place)

I suggest, in addition to the conditions set so far (touching a gen/totem/healing someone/etc), DS should remove its timer and be active indefinitely until another person is hooked. Some killers are completely abusing this nerf lately and negating any of the anti-tunneling purposes of this perk by just going on massive slugfests, and something really needs to change.

While not a perfect solution, I believe removing the timer is completely necessary now that the conditions are more strict. And if you aren’t a tunneler, this change should not face any opposition from you.

I play both and i agree a bit. I think the timer should just pause if youre being chased or downed and then deactivate when u work on a gen or heal/unhook someone

  • @HellDescent said:

Play killer. Killers mostly have perks that you have to actually earn, instead of survivor's passives. See how you like going against trash survivor perks...

On god. Every good killer perk either has to be earned, goes away after a timer, or can be straight up deleted. Meanwhile surv perks reward you for getting downed or injured.

  • @Ascended4Head said:

I personally think survivor game play is the trashiest and most boring that it ever has been since the start of the game. We have no good perks for the game that change the way we play. The only thing that changes the pace of the game is the killer that we face. If you look at the current perks, they are just a bunch of trash tier aura perks that only last a few seconds and truly do nothing to boost survival. Dead hard is the only true perk that has some fun left in to use, and it doesn't even work 80 percent of the time due to hit boxes and lag.

This last perk is one of the final perks that is constantly being cried about over and over again by the killer-mains which only goal in the game is to 4k for their power fantasy - so they can feel like they actually accomplished something. It's unfortunate that the devs have just completely destroyed survival gameplay over the last 2 years. Playing killer is no longer skill based, you'd have to be brain dead to not reliably 3k every single game. Not based on any type of skill, but just because most of the means of survival for survivors has been gutted and made trash. Also, the amount of aura reading perks that give your exact location to killer, have even been over buffed and are too plentiful. Tracking is no longer a thing in this game. You just hook someone and then look for Auras with BBQ and chili. I know, I know "I only use BBQ and Chili for the double points". Great! Then you should have no problem getting rid of the wall hacks.

The most egregious of everything that has happened to survivor gameplay over the last few years has been the edition of tank like movements. If you give me tank movement, you better give me a freaking gun. The devs nerfed the flow of movement tremendously a few patches ago and then just made it a little bit less terrible, but movement is still absolutely terrible in game.

I just wonder how much more the devs are willing to trash their game for 4k power fantasies. As of now, survivor gameplay is in the trash and any type of change of gameplay is completely reliant on the killer you are playing against.

You have to be bait bro theres no way you think survs dont have any good perks. Unbreakable, sprint burst, deliverance, iron will, inner strength, adrenaline, borrowed time, etc. Survs have like a dozen or so S tier perks while killers have half of that. Also youre complaning that killers are the only thing that change gameplay? I can think of like 4 different surv builds that let you play in completely different ways. I hate to break it to you man but the reason you think survivability is down is cuz u might just not be very good at surv. Theres perks that let ubplay offensively, locker builds, perks that make healing instant, altruistic builds, then theres the classic small pp builds which arent as strong post ds nerf but still plenty strong.

    I find them frustrating.

Pounce, miss, crush. Over and over again. It doesn’t matter how many different ways I try to bait or track the survivors movements, they just step left or right. That’s it. That’s all they need to do. No skill. Just immediately move left or right the second they see Victor initiative the pounce. They’re even doing this when I am right behind them.

I mean when i play victor and im holding pounce u can usually just stare forward and let them run into ur pounce while theyre trying to evade. Twins is good on console she just takes practice.

I am unironically enjoying him a lot but for the opposite reason, he is so bad he is fun. I have been playing 6 hours with him and I have only gotten one 4k out of maybe 15 games or something but I have still found myself enjoying him more than most other killers.

I felt like throwing pebbles at survivors the whole time, funniest ######### ever. He just goes "MUDA MUDA MUDA" the whole time and takes forever to down a single survivor, downing them with m1 attacks just felt much faster. top that with the over-the-top dramatic sounds of his moans and laughter and you got ton of meme potential with him.

He is garbage, deathslinger and huntress outclass him in basically every aspect except one: fun. Hopefully he gets buffed and becomes both fun and strong.

Just the amount of stuff in his kit that makes him weak for literally no reason. Why the hell does laceration deplete MID chase? Hes been throwing knives since he was a child but if he throws too many knives in a row his arms get tired or something and he just loses all his accuracy and for some reason has recoil. And Main Event? A power that still slows him, can be stunned out of, doesnt reload his knives, and puts his basic throw in a cooldown. On top of all that the power can only be activated within a few seconds of gaining it? And if you dont you lose it all together? Literally the weakest killer weve seen since the clown.

Assuming fair play (a stretch, I know) - which killers earn your respect as a survivor?

Killers i deem worthy of respect are like huntress, trapper, and blight tbh. Nurse too but less so just cause shes super strong but well balanced imo.

  • @Iosefka said:

Please change the numbers, make it like 240 seconds

A minute long chase can easily ruin a killers chance at winning the game. If your chase lasts longer than a minute youve done your job tbh. Even if they're tunneling you they lose the game.

Yeah. Same like "Ruin is not good because it gets broken in 20 seconds". Meanwhile, before it was reworked, nearly everyone used it despite way worse Totem Spots.

Back in the day only The Game had decent Totem Spots and still nearly everyone was running Ruin.

People just like to complain I guess.

Everyone used it because it was still the best option. Gens are so damn fast and before undying your options were take a chance with ruin or use pop. Neither of which are that great. Ruin gets found easily in most every game. Pop requires a down and can only be applied to a single gen. Thats basically the 2 options killers had if they wanted to slow the game. People dont like running the same 2 perks but if someone isnt playing an s tier or a tier killer and dont have ruin + undying their chances are slim to none. Meanwhile survivors have a multitude of good perks that border on broken or are already broken. Ds, unbreakable, adrenaline, iron will, sprint burst, dead hard, etc.

I think you should look at the other side of that statement. BBQ is also used a lot and the perk is good, but not oppressive plus people like extra BP. Should they change BBQ bc of that? It's the most popular killer perk.

Theres multiple counters to bbq. Unlike ds + unbreakable.

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

Why would you even think to do this? Like stop the "oh it's not final and it's just a sneak peek towards the mid chapter", no.

Why would you even think of nerfing pop without thinking of nerfing DS or UB.

It's pretty stupid to call the devs survivor biased, but when they do stuff like this it's hard to call them not.

This needs to be balanced out from both sides, pyramid is getting nerfed, his lose lose scenarios is what made him good, we'll have to see how he turns out though. Other survivor perks are getting buffed (thankfully none of them look busted) and now pop is getting nerfed with nothing to the survivor meta being nerfed along side it.

Pop is still going to be pretty good and usable, but just why did they need to nerf it in the first place? AND why not nerf DS UB in the mean time if we're touching meta perks?

This is honestly just gonna push killers to run ruin + undying and survs are complaining about that as well.

His abilities are a lot more unique and exciting than most of the other m1 killers (Trapper, Clown, Wraith). Most of the m1 killers only have one ability and I would argue that bear traps, cloaking, and fart clouds are nowhere near as exciting as teleports that can be mindgamed, loop-countering snares, and fake pallets. Is it because Freddy is actually strong compared to the other m1 killers? Or is it because he is percieved as simpler to play? Sure Freddy players have a reputation for slowdown perks but you can blame the genrush meta for making it a good tactic. Some claim Freddy is even OP as the best m1 killer but Nurse and Spirit are always rated higher than him (and if Nurse and Spirit deserve their place at the top due to their skill floor, I wouldn't say Spirit is that much harder to play than an m1 killer).

Considering he's more exciting and stronger than most of the other m1 killers... Why all the Freddy hate?

I hate playing against him tbh. Hes crazy strong and he cant teleport thru objects or turn invisible which is why he isnt #1 or #2. But he has a crazy good lunge, can teleport across the map, and can slow down survs making certain loops and pallets unsafe. You counter him by waking up but hes still really good with not a lot of drawbacks to his powers.

I wouldn't mind skill checks on totems. Would give a reason for either an item that allows you to cleanse totems faster, or an add-on to maybe the toolbox. Like a hammer or something.

Plus it would be another source of blood points.

It’s one escape. I mean.... talk about survivors being privileged this sounds pretty privileged thinking you deserve all 4K. I just Got into an argument with my friend over this and we want to enjoy the game together but we have opposing views on this game. I don’t think anyone has a right to anything in this game. You gotta think about it from a solo perspective too. I can’t be responsible for my other 3 teammates so I don’t know why there wouldn’t be an alternate escape if I did really well but my teammates got their butts kicked leaving the last guy to do 2/3/4/5 gens. That’s not fun nor is it possible. Ppl don’t like the idea of slugging the 3rd guy so 4th guy doesn’t escape well... Maybe rework the key so it spawns in a random chest every game but can only be used if your last alive or once all gens are done? And keep the hatch closed the whole game? They need to get rid of Mori’s. I don’t understand why survivors aren’t allowed to enjoy the game too. By enjoy the game I mean do more than hold down one button the entire game to escape. And here killers get to stay in the entire game racking up 20-30K bloodpoints every game going on chases, sweating balls, I don’t think the games slow enough tbh. And you can blame that on Mori’s and gen speed. Keys not really. Survivors still have to do all the work. Also killers walk around the map a lot so they can find hatch easily. Possibly before the last survivor does and just hook the 3rd guy near it. I’m pretty sure killers can stomp on the hatch before survivors get the prompt to exit through it (happens every time I’m standing on hatch with the killer he gets to stomp on it but I never get to hop in)

If he kills and downs everyone than i would say hes earned it. Especially on a map with so many absurdly good loops.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

You got DC'd on one time and suddenly the penalty hasn't made any difference? LOL right.

Maybe don't slug to 4k and they won't DC for hatch. 🤷

Lol depending on the killer its the best way to 4k. Dont wanna get slugged? Bring unbreakable 4head. And i agree i still get people dcing in my games all the time. People who will leave just to deny the killer the extra points towards the pip is a real thing.

The Legion Feral Frenzy adjustment: Restored The Legion's ability to see scratch marks and pools of blood at the beginning of the fatigue (when Feral Frenzy expires).

Thats pretty much just a quality of life improvement. Thats not even a buff its just a change. And its not gonna move him on anyones tier list.

how is doctor not OP, if he knows how to shock you, you can't dead hard, vault or pull down a pallet, his static blast extends past his terror radius ffs

    You can dodge his blast.

  • @CJ46 said:

Why do survivors keep getting nerfed and killers are saying things like "try play against red ranks" i may only be a rank 9 killer but i've played against full lobby of red rank survivors countless times, most of the times sfw, and i never get less then a 2k, usually a 3k with the 4th person getting hatch, like seriously hitboxes are broke af and people get hit across the map and you're removing good loops ? i don't get what the devs are doing, stop saying this new update will "balance the game" because in reality killers are too OP as it is especially with specific builds. what killers are OP ? I'll tell you, doctor, freddy, myers (with infinite tier 3 or insta mori) and specific builds they can be even better, even deathslinger is up for debate because of hitboxes. :D i can hear the killer mains typing already

I play both equally and getting 3ks and 4ks does not mean surv role isnt broken. Against a team that is actually efficient and not doing dumb ######### killers have to play out of their minds and borderline perfectly to have a chance. Also i guarantee you theyre prolly working on fixing the server problems in relation to hits cuz they are bullcrap at times. Except thats pretty much the only thing killers have had going for them ironically. Survs have had tons of ways to extend chases and keep killer busy. They STILL have them after this patch. The only difference is that they wont have god loops they can use 3 times then run over to the jungle gym and safe pallet right next to it. This happens on all the maps they changed pretty much. Also if you think myers is op with his red addons hes SUPPOSED to be. If hes using either red addon he has to basically drain every surv of their stalk meter. And literally best way to play against myers is to break LOS. Deathslinger is FAR from op and the servers may help him a bit but it doesnt change the fact that if he hits a surv people can still body block the chain and the chain still breaks easy. Not to mention one of his counters is dropping pallets early. Doctor isnt op hes just better now. He can actually do work but still suffers against a good team. Freddy tho yeah hes pretty op.
