I agree completely.. its beyond annoying. It used to be gone completely...
-
@CaptainCastle - you are free to see it as that if you want, but it is certaintly not the intent of the thread as there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ Way to play the game, unless you go deliberately use cheats or hacks
-
@BigBlackMori - I realize that people like different things, which is why i started the discussion in the first place.. i am curious how others find it
-
@Meme - Actually i’m not complaining. I even wrote in my post that i understand its a viable strategy. I am simply asking how/why anyone thinks its a FUN strategy? Its merely a question/discussion on that.. i am not denying that there are toxic survivors out there who makes killers miserable or that genrush is one of the biggest problems in the game (in my view)
Oh and BTW.. if you had read my entire post you would have seen that i play almost 50/50 killer and survivor :)

I love these virtue signalling threads. Are you also a vegan?
Not at all.. its not about being vurtuous.. to me it just makes no sense. Its not fun for anyone (i’d assume) and you barely get any points..
@Warlock_2020 I agree completely.. it does Seem that Way at times.
-
I went with nerf genrush.. i feel its a major problem that killers have to rely on ruin in every game to even have a chance..
-
As a killer i never tunnel or camp, and if a survivor unhooks someone right as ive hooked them, i go after the unhooker.. If one guy dc’s I usually kill 2 and let one go. If 2 dcs i just farm points with the last 2. I also often let people go once the exit gates are open..
The worst part is when you try to be a friendly killer. Let Them wiggle free and they run off thinking you are still gonna kill them xD
As a survivor i never tbag or flashlight click at killers, and if they were completely genrushed i will stay and farm with Them.
-
Can we see the drawings? :)
-
@Warlock_2020 I totally agree with you there..
@raptorsfromspace I agree completely that genrushing is out of hand in this game, btw.. but i dont feel like it equals camping.. if you Camp a survivor you will be genrushed harder.. in my experience it slows the game down more to let someone go for the rescue and heal while i find someone else to chase, and regress some gens.. Plus the question still remains.. is it fun?
@Mat_Sella I fully agree.. it seems more like its an attempt to just be spreading misery..
@RoKrueger lol okay. Fair enough if you get your enjoyment that way. I thank you for your input.
@RWoodrow Yes, thats how it seems. We cant all have the same definition of fun :)
-
I also think i saw it in the level under the temple, in that closed off area that only opens once you fix the generator. I believe it wasnt hard to spot it either, but i’ll keep a lookout :)
-
Yes, if you hit Them right as they are unhooked they wont go down. I Think its to stop hook farming (survivors farming other survivors off the hook)
-
I completely agree with @Arabytes . I play like you do as well, and even if i get a 1k or 0k i consider it a win if all players in the trial got over 15.000 bloodpoints.. and as a survivor (and killer) those games Can be extremely fun.
If a killer doesnt tunnel or Camp then the match Will be awesome for me, no matter if i Survive or not :) (i play solo)
People are too focused on pipping or 4k’ing these days, that they forget to have fun sometimes.. if all players got a chance for many bloodpoints, i consider it a win :)
-
Its simply a buffed version of the corrupt purge.. not only does it injure you, it also kicks you from the game..
;)
all jokes aside i think that these type of crash issues sometimes occur with the game. Pretty sure its a bug
-
For killers it Can be hard to rely on their strengths if you want to pip, and that makes no sense. The trapper’s strength is his traps.. the emblem system should be tailored around each individual killer..
as a survivor you have to play 4 different roles on a team instead of focusing on one certain role like... healer or genjockey.. and thats difficult
-
Right now i am not a fan of the Onmund Map as killer because the gen and hook auras are too weak and hard to see..
But otherwise i hate Swamp the most. Its just a huge map.. this is both for playing survivor and killer

Bad bait.
Bait? I’d love to hear your ideas for balancing the game

@Master said:
"balancing for both roles"
Someone doesnt understand what balance actually means =)
Id be fine with those suggestions in general as long as solo survivors get ingame voice comms
Regarding 4, that was tested in PTB and abused by survivors
I do realize that swf will never truly be balanced, and i also realize that these ideas would buff killers, which is why 4 is a must... i know DS is an anti-tunneling perk now, but not really.. mostly killers slug you and go after the unhooker when they Think you have DS. Its just not worth it, plus the Tiny stun simply delays you going down 2 seconds more..
anyways, i’d love to hear your ideas for balancing the game?

Let me put here what i wrote in another postAnzi130 said:I feel like most signs point to an Oni-inspirered killer eventhough i’d Much rather have the slit-mouthed woman..
the reason i say so is this.. first off.. the mask that we see. It has 3 eyes. Oni was known to have up to 3 eyes. The woman in the clip seems to be naked, or atleast barefoot. She wouldnt be able to make those Sounds from the teaser trailer.. and finally.. the ‘samurai’ might be a Ninja, i Think. He’s wearing completely Black clothing -

The samurai saying ‘my daughter’.. does it really have to be HIS daughter? Couldnt it just be a term like when a priest says ‘my daughter’ or ‘my son’?

Anyone got any bloodyparty streamers they are willing to share with me. It would be much appreciated, I could give items in return too, thank you guys! With all due respect, I don't think you realize how this game works, do you? Although you do bring up an interesting point. It would be nice to see them implement some sort of trade system between survivors and killers, though many would likely abuse the system.
I just want to invite someone into a game and they put on a Bloody Party Streamer, please don't tell me you thought I was talking about me trading items for offerings xD

I totally get your point here.. i understand that these maps are hard to Master, but That’s kinda why i like them. They pose more of a challenge, and also i Think that many of the outdoor maps are too similar, so sometimes they get boring.. my favorite outdoor maps are haddonfield and springwood, but they also have areas inside, so maybe That’s why i ikke them, and all the other outdoor maps have the same foresty feel to them..switch said:@Anzi130 I dont mind not finding gens quickly, its just whenever you need to juke/catch up its basically "i hope there is something here".
Planing a route its part of being able to juke having no idea where you run makes the game boring and rng, players should be rewarded for skill (kinda) not luck.
Indoor maps are not good for the game trust me you can ask every player with atleast 1000hrs on both sides and they would say the same
-
Actually, that would be awesome!Vietfox said:What about "moving maps"? Map could be a ship on the sea and gates would be lifeboats.

You can't really juke on it, you just run and hope for the love of god that you get a window or pallet/ same goes for killer but in reverse.
The map is impossible to understand or learn since there are some rng stuff that can happen.
Those were my 2 problems with the indoor map i could find more but those 2 are on top of my head why they should NEVER release another indoor map. -

There is No reason to be mean.. what i’m saying is, if they pallet loop then break the pallets.. it will force them to a new pallet which gives you some time to hurt them.. i’ve been looped around stuff too, and it sucks, but just like its possible to counter hard campers, its also possible to counter looping. You Can also stop chase and go find someone else.. but No matter how you twist it, swf groups are the ones mainly abusing these things which ends up hurting both killers and solo survivorsSkarkio said: -
Ps: looping Can be countered by Breaking pallets. I always do that (play both killer and survivor equally)
-
I feel like with swf teams the game is heavily favored towards survivors, but solo players who dont loop but actually play the game for fun? Its pretty balanced and sometimes more so In killer favor.. the thing is... most play against swf groups that easily win because they have voice comms, but the game was never made for that.. That’s why its unbalanced honestly (in my oppinion)
-
A very interesting thought, especially thinking of the ‘clomp’ sounds.. good job on the detective work..
i also noticed another thing about the teaser. When you first start the video you hear a ‘bong’ kind of Sound, as if someone is hitting one. Very traditional japanese aswell -
I do have both items as well, but you still get extra bloodpoints, and they mentioned themselves that the event would be extended till the 23rd of august on all platformsChraizE said:It took me 16 hours of dbd to get both items.

Camping is when a killer is still on the Map after hooking a survivor xD

Ahh okay, that makes sense!SnakeSound222 said:In order for the event to be extended, they need to push out a small update. They haven't done that yet. I'd like to think they'll release that update within the next day.

I usually type good game if the killer did really well, No matter if i Escape or not. Just yesterday i was up against a wraith who hooked us all with 4 gens left to go and without even camping or tunnelling. I told him i thought he was really good with the wraith and that we didnt stand a chance
it was a good game. I feel like these games are the Best since they teach us to be better. If he Can hook us all without camping or tunneling then he’s really talented
-
Ahh okay.. makes sense

Many people on both sides are still playing to win. However, some Survivors and Killers are specifically sabotaging each other's event stuff (apparently there's a spike in sabotage, which was uncommon until this event, and some Killers are overprotecting the event generators to the detriment of the trial).
-
There is No reason for the killers to Camp during this event. You dont need a sacrifice to earn survivor chops, you only need to hook them once on the BBQ hook. Even if they get saved you still get your survivor chops. This event goes against camping actually.. would be better for the killer to try to hook others on other BBQ hooks than Camp.
-
I also finished 2 gens out of 4. But That’s not my point.. the point is there is No reason to be malicious.. No matter the reasonfeffrey said:To be honest you do sound like a useless teammate who got everyone killed
Sure you saved 3 but that's nothing your priority is gens
Then you go down in the basement like GG
But that's just my view

But you ignored his request
