Pride month charm is worring me...
As I saw the livestream yesterday and saw the charm. I found it really cool and the charm looks really good.
But then I did the mistake and read the chat and Twitter...
So many (Bad word here) people who write garbage like "I tunnel every one who is wearing that" and stuff that goes in the ddos direction....
I don't know if this charm is "ready" for this community and so many people reacting poorly.
Comments
Not being "ready" is exactly the reason it's needed.
Those twitter twats threatening those who wear the charm to be tunnelled are trying to shut LGTB+ up through scares and it's sad (plus it's not going to work).
It's a charm, it's a representation and/or a symbol of support and it's love.
Edit: I put I instead of is a the beginning :S
Charm is probably the smallest form of representation this game offers. Killers have plenty of petty reasons to tunnel someone out of a game - this charm won't actually increase the amount, it will just add another petty reason to the list. If they say something homophobic in game chat report them. If they say something homophobic in your messages report them to your platform. Not including something because a killer may tunnel is a terrible reason, and with that mentality we'd basically have to remove survivors.
They probably won't ban people for simply tunnelling people, i doubt they even have data on what charms survivors are wearing
Now if the people tunnelling also spout a bunch of stuff in the endgame chat, they will probably get banned for that instead.
Just remind yourself that the chat lobotomy party you saw is just a very vocal minority, compared to all those who will play the game because it's a game.
Most people are decent, so you have exceedingly little to worry about in regards. Anybody dumb enough to pick on you and then say it was because of the Pride tag just requires a simple report with evidence of that to boot them.
Don't let the zombies get you down. And by that, I apologise to the RE zombies - they're much more worth it than those other types.
I'm allergic to cats that doesn't stop me from having 2 🥴🥴
Meh. I'm of that community and may or may not wear it. I think it's a good addition though, but I'm not that into the charms and barely notice them in matches. I think of recent I've only wore a David charm on Dwight. Guess I could throw the rainbow on my Trickster hooks... since some people are already so tilted by the twink beating them that the added rainbow might make them melt into goop.
And let's be real, there's already plenty of killers who tunnel and camp you for some dumb reason. Some hater doing it for a charm isn't going to feel that different from "cause someone used map offering", "cause you played X character", "you were hard to find", or any other bull reason they give you.
im like, cant function through the sneezing and coughing and eye watering though. i could only have one and the breed of dog i love the most gets severe depression if left alone for like 4 or more hours
Yeah i was joking, i know that there are several degrees of allergy. Mine hits pretty hard in spring, but i just use antihistaminic spray and eyedrops in the morning and I'm good for the rest of the day 😄
But if i don't or if i happen to sleep with a cat on my bed, the next day I'm a zombie
i mean, i really want like 30 little puppies but i dont think its possible
so im changing plans to miniature cows and donkeys and ill have a little stairlift to carry them up the stairs itll be adorable
I really wish They would make charms for the rest of the Flags Not just a rainbow, I want a bi charm T-T
what ez banned for what ?? for tunneling ? when they do it (i never tunnel a person for what reasen) but if people get banned because they tunnel or bodyblock a person for what reasen...
then I would stop with dbd the missing still get xD ban because you have a certain way of playing and I would also encourage others to listen with dbd I mean if players are banned because of a way of playing THEN I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME! I would not be banned because I would never do something like that, but I show solidarity with people who tunnel or do anything else (of course not the libelings or any malicious acts)
really only something is missing from bhvr facepalm hahaha
As always you guys never fail to get offended and outraged at scenarios you made in your head. Hilarious.
Just saying, if you're going out of your way to tunnel and kill someone because they have the pride charm on, you're a hateful person deserving of a ban :D
Pandora's box has been opened: when that happen then i want a germany flag and a kurdish flag i mean what is the problem ? xD do all flags in the world
Oh the stream chats were only in our heads I guess… weird
You just make my message sound worse than it is. Not what I meant. There are other ways to include em. Probably more subtly is the best choice with specific characters.
People get upset at the mere thought of lgbt+ characters even done subtly so ######### it, go big or go home. You can't please homophobes while including LGBT+ people so if you're going to say goodbye to one of them, do it in style.
Ikr, All flags in the world + all the LGBT+ flags :D
Oh abso-#########-lutely! Flags for literally everything possible to represent yourself! Go nuts with it.
Yeah give me a UK flag then, why not
thanks
Sure why not flags for everyone!!!!!
The best choice is to just leave anything like this out of this type of game. It only leads to something bad like I said.
Nothing bad about it as others have said.
actually something good.
No, see that's actually the wrong way to look at it
That implies that people who have certain characteristics shouldn't be included because xyz, it implies a level of taboo
The better way to approach it, (IMO) is to just have it and don't act any differently.
Although there's a certain side of the DBD community that the devs have been encouraging recently that I really find distasteful, but it has nothing to do with people's characteristics such as their orientation and so on.
The best part is that this wouldn't be that hard to make, they already have the model for the charm. They could do like, all flags in the world
they stated that not the inclusion is bad but that the reception of some parts of the community is bad and will follow with the inclusion (which is kinda right but no reason for exclusion). Let’s not twist their words.
edit: at least i think (and Hope) that’s what they meant
that may change the first point but not the second
I’ve honestly never seen anyone say that. I’m not saying you haven’t, but I really don’t think it’s anything to worry about. It’s probably just people memeing / larping. People like to talk ######### on the internet.
I don't think anyone can see survivor charms other than the survivor themselves. At least I can never see my friends charms, only mine and the killers.
If auto ban actually gets to live then you will get banned for literally everything you do AND don’t do. The pride charm being involved doesn’t change anything
Is there a code for it? Bc I want it.
Rainbow blind as killer😲
I'm 100% wearing this. And if I get tunneled, that killer is getting reported. Banning bigots one at a time:)
Just to ask, how would you know their intention behind tunnelling you?
It's probably just a joke so forgive me if it is, but reporting someone for tunnelling isn't a good reason.
You can’t get banned for tunnelling. At least not at the moment.
It was a joke, but I suppose you would know if they tunneled you and only you for no apparent reason.
You can, but only in situations like this. For another example, say that someone got evidence against a killer that only tunneled black survivors. That killer would be banned. This is more or less the same thing.
You thought it was funny because you agreed with it.
Probably because almost every time a LGBT character is implemented, they're either a token character or are poorly written. Sometimes both.
I wasn't sure what image you were referring to until I went back and found a link
Not funny & kinda uncalled for actually, seems like a mod edited it out though.
There was no punchline to that at all, not even a /s, don't backpedal to "it's just a joke" when you get called out on that. You were stating your intentions, unless you were lying.
... I wasn't responding to you. Why do you sound like you're Karu?
Did you forget to switch accounts or something?
Anyways, I clicked the spoiler and found the image. Did they just add a spoiler to the image to hide it?
No I'm agreeing with you
I think the image was uncalled for.
E: I thought it was edited out but I'm not sure it was my bad
It’s basically gay flag if you make it simple.
It was a joke. Maybe we just don't have the same sense if humor. No need to be aggressive.
Don't ban the charm ban the people tunneling because of the charm.
and how exactly do you plan on proving they tunnelled for that reason, unless they admit it in chat (which you would need to have a single digit IQ to do)?
That's exactly how. Ik that most people wouldn't say they're doing it, but removing the charm would be punishing people who literally just want to wear it.
Problem is it's over 200 flags. So devs should find a way to ergonomically store them in inventory.
