  • The devs seem to have a surprising lack of communication with DBD player base. I mean sure, they've held surveys, and have PTBs to gain feedback on their new releases, and changes, but I'm seriously not sure how much of it is read or even taken seriously. I don't see many suggestions from user feedback that reflect our thoughts, in-game. I don't feel like we're listened to enough. I used to have a decently active discord server with plenty of Dbd fanatics who felt the same way, and to no surprise a pretty large portion of my friends abandoned Dbd due to the lack of communication and the negative changes in-game.

I'm not saying all of the changes the devs made were bad because they didn't reflect the community's suggestions, because there have been pretty damned good changes. Examples: Exhaustion nerf, Doctor rework, the recent Freddy rework, the emblem system (as it wayyyy wayyy to easy to double pip back in the day), pallet vacuum, vault vacuum, insta-blinds (for those of you who were around back in the day), etc. Though a lot of bad decisions and failure to patch simple and frustrating bugs tend to outweigh the good, and the pessimistic side gets the best of me.

In short, the devs are disconnected with the community and have no doubt about that:

Playerbase: Gen rush is horrible, pls bhvr fix

    BHVR: LeTs MaKe It WoRsE

  • Well, the more the merrier right? I think there's always room for expansion in terms of languages in any given video game, or platform. If someone speaks it, it's not a bad idea to have it available.

  • I accidentally clicked on "No it's fine how it is". I meant to click on Mixed. My reasoning behind this is that, while I can definitely see a struggle for newer players to earn the perks that they feel are necessary for their style of game play, and DbD has never really been entirely new-player friendly.

I take a neutral standing in this because of the various ways to obtain large amounts of bloodpoints. There's rift missions to consider, which can give you 15k - 60k depending on the tome that you'll be on, these missions are limited, yes, but they can still give you a hefty amount of Bloodpoints. Dailies can give you an alright chunk as well, though it's not my favorite way to earn bloodpoints, it is a method.

And last but not least, of course you can always earn BP by playing the game normally, which can be pretty time consuming. But there's many factors to this, I think that you can generally find perks that will last you a long time, if not become a part of your main build even with just having two or three character's teachables unlocked. There's some strong perks to be had with just the few main characters available. Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Iron will, BT etc. and if you have some of the DLC characters it can be even more rewarding; Lithe, Dead hard, DS, etc. You can setup a pretty solid build with just a few perks, and by the time the build you're using gets stale you will probably have enough Bloodpoints to proceed further through your bloodwebs.

However in short, while I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to allow increased earning in Bloodpoints, I also don't think it's all that bad depending on the style of a new players game play. I think an interesting thing that BHVR could do to make it more new player friendly, is maybe give all new accounts a double bp boost for a certain amount of games, and or a certain amount of time/days. I wouldn't be opposed to that either.

  • Risk, but it's not likely, Peanits even stated so in a past post. Attached the image to my guide, but use it at your own risk I guess.

  • Yes, a lot of people are experiencing the same issues. Here's a guide on how to fix it.

    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1872719580

  • Btw: I will also be adding a FAQ to my guide relatively soon, to bring forth more clear understanding and hopefully help everyone out.

PS: Keep in mind this option for disabling antialiasing doesn't work for everyone. I'd say about 10% of people still seem to have issues, with FPS drops, or their game becomes more blurry (in which case you can just revert your changes). But I think it's worth a try if you're currently having issues with the recent patch, or you could just wait to see if BHVR reverts the change themselves. It's up to what you feel most comfortable in doing.

  • Hey! I'm the creator of the guide you linked. I tried posting a comment earlier but for some reason it didn't send. As of right now, no this is not bannable what-so-ever. Their intended purpose is to tweak settings to your liking. If you decide to go through with using my guide to disable antialiasing, just make sure you follow the three steps clearly and don't mess with any files you're unsure about. I'm open for any questions, and you're always welcome to comment or direct message me if you want further answers to your questions. My steam is attached to the guide (obviously :P) @Irvin @HellCatJane @rd_dex

  • Hey! I'm the creator of the guide you linked. This is not currently bannable what-so-ever. It's a file that's there, and normally intended for the purposes of tweaking your settings to your liking. As of now, you will not be banned for using this to disable antialiasing. Just avoid messing with other files that you aren't sure about and follow the three steps to the guide directly if you choose to go this route. @rd_dex @HellCatJane

But yeah, it's a terrible addition. I play on low with low resolution because my PC is old, and it was like I needed a pair of glasses just in the lobby, I didn't even tried to play in that condition.

Thank you this fixed it, and it's good to know it's not bannable due to the file type. Though, I still am sad that they implemented forced antialiasing.

  • This is greatly appreciated. Thank you kind sir or ma'am (I don't discriminate, it's 2019 after all).

  • They forced anti aliasing. This is why, you can force a disable in appdata, but for some that's not even working anymore. No one likes it.

  • @Nyxxie said:

    This change is actually hilarious

I don't know who thought this was a good idea, it is literally impossible to see survivors across the map or looking through bushes anymore, and you can't do anything about it, you can not even lower the antialiasing or desactivate the feature.

I just made my forum account to give my feedback about this change that I find really annoying for people like me that can't afford to play on high settings.

Please revert the change, this is awful.

Yup.... It's horrible to play either side right now. And I'm sad for the people who can't play on Low setting anymore if it's a requirement for them to do so. For me, it's not a requirement, but the overall blurriness gives me vertigo and motion sickness. They really need to revert this change immediately. I don't think it was a good change, and I highly doubt anyone asked for it. I'd like to know the developer's reasoning behind this change.

  • @Revansith said:

I found out my resolution was set to 100% so I set it to 0 as well, reducing the window I played in and amazingly the appearance was better. Not saying that would work for you

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try next time I'm on, but I still don't like the idea of this forced setting. I'm not, but others are getting major FPS drops because of it.

  • @Revansith said:

To be honest I have had far worse blurry and ugh graphics than that on Low

Fair. Not sure how, but fair. But for most players, this is a crazy change after two years of clear sight. And now it's taken away from both sides, killers and survivors. Not only that, but my cosmetics look like crap.

  • It's so blurry, I hate it so much. This needs to be reverted immediately. Please, devs.

  • I would love new Adam cosmetics, I also strongly would love a semi-spooky themed Feng skin, and would fall in love with a Meg outfit that's not based off of her athletic background.

There's so many things you could do with Halloween, I'd love to see a cosmetic involving a sort of backpack, maybe a trick or treat bag, broomstick, you get the idea. I love cosmetics with lots of physics and potentially "flowy" items. I'm sure the devs have already planned out what they're doing, since we're getting pretty close to Halloween, but I can dream a little right?

  • I think they're both equally good in their own unique ways, however, personally, I'd use it in a gen build, Prove Thyself, Leader, Better Together, and with a toolbox.

I use Bond specifically for solo queue, and more so gaining information as to which team mate is being chased, and who aren't/what they're doing, as well as I really enjoy it for chase as well. I can protect my team mates by leading them far from my teamies repairing.

  • I am also a user of "Urban Immersion", it's on my alt account as my "real name". I normally just use a really stupid name, and match my profile picture accordingly, such as "x doing x" and then a profile picture to match. Normally gets some good laughs.

Another one I use is "Discount Shakira", basically Kate showing off her belly, and wearing a skirt. This one's my favorite ^

  • It's definitely not meta material, but it's DEFINITELY fun when you're capable of pulling off the jukes. There's nothing more satisfying than leaving scratch marks strategically, and pacing off, looking back and seeing the killer wasting their time looking where you aren't.

  • There's similarities in the concept, those being Hunters (Killers), and Scavenegers (Survivors), Scavengers try to escape the DeathGarden, while Hunters attempt to eliminate them before they can do so. But, aside from this main concept, @Orion is very correct. The game is completely different from DBD.

There's different Scavengers for you to play; Ghost, Switch, Sawbone, Inked, Fog, etc. Different characters have different abilities; Invisibility, Cloning, Reviving/Healing, Smoke Screens. Then there's also the perks, which you can have two active at a time for; Stamina buffs, blood gathering buffs, etc.

It's a very fast-paced game, as a Scavenger you are constantly marking objectives and other items so your whole team can see them, gathering blood, and ultimately it's a battle to earn EXP. Exits open for Scavengers when they deliver 250 blood to the towers, and or once the timer runs out.

Originally, I played this game when it very first release, and it was completely a heaping pile of dog sh*t. Now, I actually genuinely enjoy playing it, and I recommend it to all of my friends, and have a small group of people who I play it with from time to time. Fair warning though, in the beginning the Hunter being able to insta-execute you may seem broken and or very wrong, but while Hunter's are strong, Scavengers can also be just as strong and illusive. I hardly have a problem with dying much as Scav. Maybe watch some videos or reviews, go through the trailers again and make your final decision. I personally just have enjoyed it so far.

PS: If you saw the game when it first released you'd be impressed by how it turned out now as well, I'll link one or two videos of the old Deathgarden for you to compare that heaping pile of ass to this now decent game. The first four links are the reboot of DG, while the last one just shows how it transformed over time with BHVR.

So it should turn red every single time someone is on one with me? I will have to check that in a bit as I could swear it wasn't always showing as red.

I remember back when it would just be normal colored with multiple people on a single generator. However, since this was added, it's always been red for me when worked on in a group, without Prove Thyself.

Yellow when I repair with a toolbox alone.

Normal color for normal repairs alone.

  • When someone reports you for something 10/10 times it doesn't matter, and they're just salty.

Things you can get banned for:

    • Lagswitching
    • Hacking of any kind
    • Excessive exploiting
    • Bodyblocking someone in a corner the entire match multiple times through out different matches.
    • Racial/Derogatory slurs or anything offensive of that sort.

And keep in mind, most reports that hold up either mean you have a massive amount of reports describing that you do the exact same thing repeatedly, and frequently, and or they have clear evidence (video) of you doing something against DBD's rules.

I've only ever met one person ever banned in DBD, and they were banned because a streamer named Shinobazu, had video evidence of him committing the offense, reported it to the devs. It was a two day ban.

  • I've had maybe 10 Gateau offerings in the last twenty bloodwebs. However, I have gotten 30 firecrackers out of that as well. At this point, I enjoy limited offerings and event items so much and I've seen so little of them this event, that I'm desperately opening all mystery boxes in hope to get a few more.

Also, I've only been able to pull ONE firecracker out of a chest after searching chests more than I should be. I need to stop hoarding my items, but that's another story for another day.

  • Oh boy, the list could go on forever, here's a handful.

    • When people use something stackable (BPS, and the like) and don't let you know that they're putting it in before the match countdown starts.
    • When other Survivors don't know how to identify Killer perks and addons quickly enough; Iridescent heads, pinky finger, potential NOED (the killer won't pay attention to gens if he has NOED normally).
    • When there is completely and utterly no chance of escaping, and even less so if you save, and the last survivor won't kill themselves on hook.
    • When double BP comes around and people farm in front of the killer for their WGLF stacks.
    • When a Survivor hides in a locker for over 30 seconds to avoid BBQ. BBQ doesn't take 30 seconds guys.
    • When your teamies would rather search chests than saving you before second stage, under normal match circumstances.
    • When your teamie(s) search for Ruin practically the entire match instead of repairing through it, and don't realize how much time they're actually wasting.
    • When there's an (Nea) Urban Immersioner coming up on your hook, but had an opening to save you, and because they were crouching to you, the killer is already cycling back to your hook-- so they dip out and or, sandbag you.
    • When everyone is full health, and there's no chance of being insta-downed, you're two feet away from the exit, and everyone decides to panic and run in front of you instead of taking a hit and preventing a death from happening-- resulting in all of them fleeing out the exit gate for no reason.
    • When I'm observing the area around the gen I'm repairing, and I see the person being chased, pallet camping and wasting all of the pallets instead of using them to their full potential.
    • When the person you saved off the hook, runs AWAY from the exit gate, and doesn't let you bodyblock for them, so they die and in post-game chat rage about how you sandbagged them.
    • When people don't check the game offerings, and fail to see the potential ebony mori coming your way, so they take you off the hook immediately, thus resulting in an immediate match-end.
    • When there's someone saboing the hooks around you, but instead of saboing to 99%, they just drop the hooks immediately.
    • When someone is saboing traps. I just don't get it, it doesn't really influence the game much more, aside from taking your precious time away.
    • When a Survivor opens the exit gate, causes end-game collapse, and doesn't leave, when you have a RBT on your head.
    • When a Survivor goes AFK before the match starts. Please don't queue for a match if you know you're going to possibly be AFK during it.
    • When you get hooked and see all of your team mates crouching in three different corners of the map for no reason, for half of your hook time.
    • When your teamie pallet slams you, and gets you killed when both of you could have survived.
    • When a Survivor with a crutch perk on your team BMs, then goes down instantly, just to DC and most likely ruin your match.
    • When your team mates don't entirely understand the game, so they just make assumptions and #########-talk you post game, saying things like; "You hid in a locker instead of saving off the hook (Was in a locker for BBQ for 2 seconds)", "You didn't do ANY gens (I probably popped 3 1/2 generators)", "You wasted all of the pallets in the entire map (It was a 5 gen chase, and we all made it out)". Things like that are just frustrating.
    • Did I mention not repairing through ruin?
    • Oh yeah.
    • Repair.
    • Through.
    • Ruin.
    • FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

  • I uninstalled the PTB and went back to base game after the first day, because of how GF worked. I didn't like it, and didn't want to waste anymore time while I could be earning BP and Shards in the base game. I've thought about switching back a few times, but I've officially decided against it, and to just wait until release.

I would be interested to hear what this screen shake is like, or if anyone has any clips of the new screen shake, etc. And I'd be happy to hear what people think of it since I'm not one who does well with motion such as screen shake. cough nausea cough .

  • There's plenty of lower tier killers that need a bit of TLC from the developers. I think all killers should be able to play high-ranked game play and not suffer from it as much as some of them are. Billy and Nurse have always been top tier killers given their abilities, and when mixed with the meta perks, it's a recipe for disaster.

If they could go back through and rework some of the mid-lower tier killers to make them somewhat more viable in higher ranked games, I think it would fix a lot. Right now, who you choose from the Killer panels determines the likelihood of how your game will most probably go (depending on where you rank at, and if they're SWF or not). Sure you can equip addons/offerings to influence the outcome of the game, but I think every killer should have a baseline in their skill aka BHVR should hold a specific line of standards when releasing a Killer, and not let them drop below it. As a couple certain killer's did a while ago cough Freddy cough cough .

  • Smart choice, switching over from Console DBD to PC DBD. Very smart.

    1. The loops are going to be easier to get tighter turns on.
    2. 360s, 180s, and the like are going to be easier to perform with most likely better results (assuming you're not going to be using controller anymore)
    3. There is going to be more unreasonable post-game salt.
    4. High ranks there are a lot of nurses and billies, really good and annoying ones.
    5. PC obviously gets their updates faster, but everyone already knows that. Just be prepared to keep an eye on them more-so than you would if you were playing on console. I say this because it's easy to fall into a habit of not keeping up-to-date, ESPECIALLY when console players receive said updates, so much later than PC.
    6. EDIT: Oh yeah, as the fellow up there was saying, skill checks may be harder/easier based on what keyboard you use. If you have a decent one, they'll prove to be easier than console, and much more accurate. I recommend a Corsair keyboard, more specifically a Corsair K70, red switches.

I'll add some more to this thread if I can think of any. I still highly recommend using Keyboard and Mouse, as it puts out better performance in my opinion, and playing with controller against KB/M players can be difficult. You'll notice the difference.

  • Most people don't sabo them, I've only seen maybe one or two people sabotaging traps at R10-R1 in the last six or so months. I play a lot of DBD too. It's more common to leave them there, and disarm them immediately after you're done repairing a generator (if there's one next to a generator), or disarming the ones at the pallets to prevent a short chase from occurring.

Sabotaging though? It's a rarity on its own.

  • Lower ranks, less SWF

    Higher ranks, more SWF

    Aka

    R20-R13 = Less.

    R12-R1 = More.

There's really no avoiding a SWF group once you pass that point, and most Killers do pass R13 very quickly in most cases. So that considered, I do think it can be a problem with gen rush, which is why there are so many frequent suggestions of an obligatory secondary objective.

Personally, I see a reason to dodge them, no killer main (or even 'lax killer player) wants to waste the time they spend playing matches, being completely destroyed despite having preventative perks to manage gen rush, and hold a grip on the game.

I don't personally dodge SWF groups anymore. I've seen some pretty bad SWF groups and I put my effort into hoping that they're going to always be overly confident and make mistakes. Sometimes I even take it as a challenge. What else can you really do with 9/10 lobbies being 4-man-SWF?

  • @poopman The idea of having a chance to get higher rarity items by going into the basement actually sounds interesting. I'd love to see that.

@TheBean There is incentive to generators, which is why in green to purple ranks you see them being done. I never ever (both playing killer and survivor) see survivors who purposely leave generators out of their gameplay to take the hatch for the extra BP. Doing generators means you have more of a chance to be located by the killer, which means you get the chase points you need for your emblems. Chases mainly initiate from finding survivors on a generator or running to a generator, you're more likely to have survivors going down, which means hooks, and in turn equals altruism, which you also need to pip.

Not to mention, one of the core reasons a secondary objective is being suggested so frequently by the community is due to gen rush at higher ranks, or by players with a sizable chunk of hours. I highly doubt anyone who knows even a little bit about DBD is avoiding generators to make a selfish escape and maybe cleanse some totems and open some chests, just to in return-- depip, and get a total of 7k bp for the escape alone. That type of game play is not rewarding enough to do so, imo.

@NoShinyPony You're welcome! Thought it was a good idea when I looked over the thread, of course with tweaks made by the developers here and there to ensure balance.

  • I'm a stupid normie. I really enjoy anything with that fake coated cheese stuff. So yeah, Cheddar Pringles. I know.. I'm boring, but they're just so simple and good. The powdery orange dust is just an extra bonus, you can save it for later, or wipe it on your clothes and paint a pretty mural out of it. ;)

  • Wraith! Wraith! Wraith!

They really kill it with most of his outfits when he does get one. They really do, I respect that. I also completely drool over his cosmetics.

  • @NoShinyPony Also had a good idea, for gathering fuel to fill the generators, or maybe even parts to be able to repair them, and the like. I've heard many interesting ideas for a secondary objective, but so far from what I've dug up over the last week or so (I've dug through a lot, trust me), I like this one the most.

    1. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/65083/concept-for-a-2nd-objective-for-survivors/p1

  • Oh, nice topic. Introducing some positivity into the heap of negativity surrounding the most recent release.

    Hmm let's see.

    1. I really enjoy the atmosphere of Ormond, the snow is a nice touch
    2. The game's sliding metal doors. Makes it very satisfying, I also really like the whole aesthetic, and the workshop room with the two annoying pallets.
    3. This isn't really a map aspect in the game, but more of a killer-specific map specific; The sound coming off of the Plague's cleansing stations.
  • Everyone remember Legion release? Yeah let's avoid a repeat of that PLEASE, unless BHVR is okay with losing another massive portion of their playerbase. And to be honest with everyone here.. I don't need more of my friends leaving DBD, and I don't want to leave myself either. Player feedback guys, player feedback... That stuff's important.

    This killer is weak.

This killer needs more than minor tweaks.

This killer is a disappointment, and the community doesn't want it that way.

One more time, just for the sake of it. Please LISTEN to player feedback. We seriously do not want this. I couldn't even bring myself to continue playing the massive heap of trash the PTB was, mainly because it was so immensely boring to play against GF, and be able to counter him so easily every game. I switched back to base game, the same day that I had switched over to the PTB.

  • It's unfortunate that they didn't release a Survivor with GhostFace, or a map. Personally, I would have loved to see the Supermarket as a map (from the GF trailer). Though I'm not a massive fan of indoor maps, I would have really enjoyed seeing that one. Maybe next time if we whine enough the BHVR gods will hear our cries and bless us. 😥

  • I actually enjoy playing against a Spirit with prayer beads, I think it adds more excitement to the game play in DBD, even though it can be quite frustrating at times. When I go against a Spirit with beads, I normally can maneuver my way around by peacefully walking. I know most people don't want to do it, and hell I dislike walking everywhere, but it is a counter, and can be strong. Though a good Spirit will often be able to predict where Survivors are and put themselves in your mindset anyway. HOWEVER, I would NOT enjoy playing against Prayer Beads every time I encountered a Spirit. Not okay.

But hey! Don't get me wrong, I get where everyone is coming from, and if this addon isn't changed and decided to stick around (which it probably will), I would definitely want it to be an Ultra rare item. I don't think it's at all okay for it to stick where it is. It's very very VERY powerful with not much of a disadvantage to be honest.

  • If people don't start using this name instead of "Ghost Face", I will be more than genuinely upset.

  • You should always assume killers have bbq and confide in lockers. Iron maiden has a short duration, and if you can hide quickly enough it won't matter. Distortion is always an option, though I find it to be a waste of a perk slot. You can rush in range of the killer to avoid bbq as well, that way you avoid being revealed, and iron maiden. I find iron maiden to be most common in Huntress players as well, and the odds of other killers having it aren't high in comparison to them using that perk slot for something else. You can also still try to utilize gen aura to the best of your ability, or bring calm spirit. But once again, I see it as more worth it to run other perks, and deal with the killer's as you go. I don't really see this build as being an issue or common in the future.

Killers would waste too many perk slots if they ran that, so I wouldn't consider it a "meta" build, otherwise the player base would have already discovered this and you wouldn't see so many people running bbq, ruin, nurses, noed, and the such. \

PS: As others are saying, baiting bbq and switching directions is an option too, and for me it works 80% of the time.

  • Easy solution:

    Get a PC. :P

    1. I have six cats, three rescues.
    2. I have over 13,000hrs logged on Steam (between two accounts)
    3. My toes are double jointed, and I can flip you off with my left foot because of it.
    4. I'm allergic to peanut butter.
    5. I'm allergic to bee venom.
    6. It took me three years to help my grandma understand that bee honey and venom aren't the same, and I won't have an allergic reaction to honey.
    7. I was in the hospital for two weeks and six days because of my appendix. I ended up with gangrene and not being able to eat for an entire week, stuck on lumpy looking fluids. Had to take an IV bag home with me, and go back for an additional six days because I ended up get 7cm abscesses.
    8. My steam profile is DBD custom. (https://steamcommunity.com/id/JukingUSince2015) But some of it's not updated, got lazy 😅
  • I take it you saw the video Demi made?

I've also noticed this before, you hardly see Jeff, unless someone has a daily with him. I personally don't main Jeff because the way he feels to run around with, he feels like a pretty thicc boi. If I'm to play a male character, I much prefer someone like Dwight or Ace. To me they just feel better to move around with and their hitbox somehow feels a lot different. For me the way a character feels under my control is a really important for me, and Jeff just doesn't have that.

I also prefer the way other male characters look in comparison to Jeff. Dwight's cute face, pajamas, and pizza delivery outfits spark my interest. Also, Ace has some pretty rad cosmetics. I really like his ugly Christmas sweater. Jeff just doesn't have much cosmetic wise, and even then, that would only help me gain interest in playing him so, so..

It'd be a cool feature if you could have cheap cosmetics for toolboxes and flashlights as well, medkits and the lot, you could drop them for other Survivors and they'd have that cosmetic with the skin on it until they die with it. cosmetics would not overrun others that you pick up, it would only replace items that you brought pre-game.

Oh! That's a great idea! Can you imagine all the possibilities? You could have a lunchbox for a medkit with the entities face on it, and for the cheekier ones out there, myers.

  • @ShrekIsHot

I'd love to see more Feng and Jake cosmetics.

Speaking of Feng and Nea though, I'd love to see more facemasks be released into the game, and I also crave for more backpack cosmetic items, I love the look and feel of them. It would also be nice if there could be another slot made for accessories like backpacks, so you can mix and match those with your outfits. Just a thought though 🤨

  • It is really annoying. Both for survivors and for killers. ESPECIALLY now that there's no penalty for dcing. Dedicated servers will come though, we just have to be patient, there's not really much else we can do to be honest.

This might be a very unpopular opinion, but I don't think gen rush is an issue.

I don't want to brag here, but I seem to get 4ks often (w/o ruin). I play billy mostly, and only really use 2 brain cells if I'm in trouble. Regardless, I always get atleast 2 kills. So, I feel as if a second objective would make things too easy (still not trying to brag). That said, I wouldn't be completely against a 2nd objective. As long as that objective is either short or optional and encouraged, then sure why not.

Get ready for word vomit boys.

I agree with your statement about the lower tier killers get some love, and making some potential changes. What potential changes? That I do not know. However, I still think even if they buff the lower tier killers too, as a 1700hr+ veteran of DBD, the game can get bland, even for me. And I'm someone who genuinely loves DBD, and would 100% spend every available second I have playing it. I think it's time there's a secondary objective of some sort or some sort of new intriguing addition to DBD. Which I'm hopeful for in the coming patches/chapters/updates. For me, that can be a brand new system of a sort (excluding the battle pass, etc-- because I am indeed hyped for that), a new secondary objective, or a gamemode (which I would only want them to add once they're sure that they can release it as balanced as possible and as true to what it's intended to be as possible).

In short, I don't think this thread is only about balance, but I think the DBD community is growing restless with what we all have. Not to say that we're not thankful for the effort the developers have put in to changing the game for the better or anything though. We want to see new enticing developments that make as go "Oh wow, I'm definitely going to be putting another 200hrs into this". I'm not disagreeing with you though, I see both standpoints from a neutral view. With changes and suggestions come unquestionable amounts of potential imbalance and challenges.

You get to a point in this game, where you come to the realization it just needs more content. Sure new players will get a kick out of their first couple of hundred hours, but I've noticed that this game has a lot more long-term loyal players from release than other games too. BHVR needs to also consider what most of their player base is these days. Well over half the profiles I have seen have over 1500-2500hrs, including myself and all of my dbd friends (there's a lot). Because the majority of their playerbase seems to consist of long term players like this, and less casual players who come around every-so-often, the game is lacking right now instead of striving for their best positions to distribute the quality and content the consumers want currently.

TLDR; I wouldn't mind seeing lower tier killers having some love, but we need secondary objectives or some new content to accommodate the veterans, and long-term players (75% of the player base most likely aka their average consumer rn) who are so readily itching for new content. I also understand the challenges and potential imbalance that could occur with adding new mechanics to the game and understand it can be complex.

  • Bit of a story.

I'm not a huge movie fan, nor do I like shows. I do like a simple few though, and will go out to see a movie if I'm invited by some friends. My (internet) friends convinced me to go see Detective Pikachu with them when I was out in California visiting them last month. The movie was decent for a children's movie actually, and for what it was to be honest.

The funniest part, and call me coldhearted for this... but I could not contain my laughter. Here's the picture; The movie finishes at let's say approximately 5pm, we grab our drinks and empty popcorn container and proceed to exit the movie theater. It's sunny outside, birds are chirping, smells of green grass, and stale theater food wafting past us. There's lovely little families all around us out to enjoy their Saturday afternoon at the movies. As we take in the view, we witness something that made our night (I know we're coldhearted, I get it).

Out trots this little 4-6yr old girl, pikachu stuffed animal in-hand. She's skipping out of joy in front of us, so proud to have this little fluffy Pokemon themed doll. But out of nowhere! Disaster! Big scary brother (he was about two years older than her) runs past his little sister, smacking her precious Pikachu doll straight out of her hand! Oh no! The Pikachu doll hits the ground with a massive thud. The next thing we here is WAAAAAAAH!

I know, now. We sound like monsters. But it was just the most absurd noise we've ever heard come out of someone's mouth, and to top it all off the thud of the Pikachu hitting the floor was hilarious. Two of us tried desperately to hold our laughter in, but to no avail, as our other mate couldn't contain his. As soon as he bursted out laughing we all quickly followed, and quickly made our way down the escalator.

Not the best story, and doesn't sound to funny when put into text, but only if you could have heard this wail, you'd understand us laughing at this poor 4yr old girl. That was the last time I went to the movies, and probably will be for a long time. I really don't care for movies.
