SWF is a lingo we use in DBD to shorten the word Survive With Friends.
Some other examples of this are KYF = Kill Your Friends, or shortening perk names to syllables.
You really cannot know if a survivor team is really together unless you like look at their profiles to see if they're friends with the others. Mostly, It's just guesswork imo and being like this group is super coordinated.

Hey, that window has its uses for lithe users and that pallet can be used with lithe too! I think that tile is extremely lithe friendly at the very least. Either that or maybe that singular window is meant to counter a billy or a bubba?

I honestly find Nemesis a lot of fun to verse. I absolutely though am incredibly biased since I'm a huge fan of the Resident Evil Chapter and got him day 1. I love everything about him and his chase music rocks.

I mean they could've just made his tentacle his m1, but I guess that'd be annoying if they're going to make skins for him.
Yeah, We see what Artist has with her weapons since her hand is made out of ink.....Hag as well.....Overall I think it gives us much more options for weapons since he has a knife. I'm honestly just hoping for shirtless wesker....

The Plague one where you had to hit two survivors with one corrupt purge twice in one trial was the most difficult challenge they've ever had
That was a pretty easy one for me. I just drank corrupt and they swarmed for the unhook and got the two downed. I think the hardest challenge I've had to encounter so far was anything involving Nurse because honestly I just dislike playing her. It gets kinda boring.

Shirtless Wesker. Shirtless Wesker. And....Shirtless Carlos!

Why? Even when I'm running Sloppy I still have survivors hiding in corners Self-Caring for half the game. And some of these people are really good loopers, they're not new players at all, but they STILL run Self-Care without Botany.
You rang? I love to run self care still even if it's without botany. I'd like to be able to rely on myself to get the heals done because solo queue be solo queue.

I feel like maybe 1 per 50 games you see her. I know she is weak, but many people find her fun to play as from what I saw.
Your lobbies then are very different than mine. I've been getting a lot of Sadako's as of late. Not like a whole convention of them but a decent amount where I'd say I'd find 7 per 50 games for me are her.
-
I only ever do that if the final survivor is literally within my sight or I know where they are. If not, I just hook the survivor and go look for hatch, if the other survivor is on second hook or something then I usually will go look around the gens so they have time to unhook then I go after the unhooker. I try not to slug if possible unless I'm a slug heavy killer like Oni.
-
Lmao, Ah yes. The one thing everyone needs in a custom match.
-
Yeah, I saw this too happen. I was on a match on Garden Of Joy and the Demo always just poofed into existence after using his portals. No animation at all!
-
Honestly, I Don't really care anymore at this rate if the killer is lead to me. Most survivors with Bond I encounter end up leading the killer to me so that they can get the pressure taken off of them but end WHILST healthy. If the killer ends up finding me I'll make sure to give them a good dance before my impending doom. Hopefully if it's Haddonfield, I can run them on those house windows and maybe the killer will give up. Now if the survivor is actively sandbagging me and helping the killer out in that way or just pointing to my locker I'ma be upset.
-
Those Wraiths are usually what people call Observers. They just observe the match from one point on the map and don't move.

I don’t mind if they make skins that are out of “theme”. If it starts creeps into DLC that will worry me. Considering how much they advertise the AOT skins and the amount of people I see with them, I’m sure they made a small fortune and it’s been a success. I have no doubt we’ll be seeing more of this.
I agree with with this. I'm absolutely fine with skins for some characters or like cosplays. Feng has like a hundred cosplays now of different stuff she likes. Even Joey is cosplaying a character! Attack On Titan was a fine addition as skins imo because there's no way they could really make a Titan work imo as a killer but as a cosplay yes. Attack On Titan itself started off as more or less a horror themed anime then promptly left that to become a more military themed one? Weird spin on that since I preferred season one of AOT more than the later seasons. However, something like Goku maybe wouldn't belong in DBD. Goku is not horror themed and wouldn't make sense imo as a DLC but as a skin cosplay sure. Maybe Dwight is a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z.

okay. help me understand what scenario you're describing here, because in my mind there's only two situations at play here and you don't seem to be thinking about either of them.
a) if the killer is camping the hook and not going after other survivors, then reassurance usage isn't trolling, it's countering and punishing through consistent and valuable perk usage.
b) if the killer is not camping the hook and going after other survivors, and the survivors are spamming reassurance to troll someone, the killer is not camping and is trying to actively pursue the other survivors, therefore leading to hits downs and a game end
what's the angle that i'm missing?
I think the angle that you're missing is that there are a few bad eggs existing out there. A killer may have left the hook yes to go pressure other survivors, But let's say those survivors are pretty confident in their abilities to escape without their final member. Let's say they start using Reassurance maybe final 2 gens and just leave that person on the hook to die and just dip where that person is stuck on hook doing absolutely nothing. Though most players would obviously want to go for the unhook it's just those few bad eggs that many people are worried about.

The Problem
- Survivors being afflicted the Broken status effect whenever Plague uses Vile Purge is an outdated concept.
- In combination with some add-ons and perks, this can make for an extremely uninteresting and borderline unfun experience for Survivors, as there can be no counterplay to these builds whatsoever.
- In addition, there are playstyles that the Survivors can do that can prevent The Plague from even being able to use her power, so long as Survivors remain Broken.
The Solution
- Vile Purge no longer afflicts the Broken status effect once a Survivor reaches maximum infection.
- Vile Purge will now injure a Survivor once that Survivor reaches maximum infection.
- Vile Purge now reduces the speed at which Survivors can heal each other by up to 50%. Add-ons that once affected the rate at which Survivors get infected now increase the slowdown to healing speeds.
- Once four Survivors fully heal while infected, The Plague will now gain one Pool of Devotion to be able to use the Corrupt Purge attack.
- Black Incense is changed so that whenever a Survivor becomes fully infected, the next time they are injured, they will receive the Broken status effect for 60 seconds.
- This add-on change is to basically remove its ability to be used with Lethal Pursuer and grant The Plague too much information with the combination.
These changes would provide a healthier change that the Plague should be getting for the future. The ability to vomit on Survivors from up close and M1 them with little to no counterplay provides an uninteresting and unfun experience, while simultaneously allowing for builds that slow down the game to a crawl and forcing Survivors into a constant lose-lose situation with no counterplay that isn't scummy.
These changes would also be the nail in the coffin for Thanatophobia being viable on The Plague, as she's the last character that this Perk is viable on, and it's an abysmal experience whenever a Plague is running this Perk.
Speaking of viability, these changes would still keep The Plague moderately viable like she should be, although with a far healthier sense of balance that she needs in this current day.
In a modern DbD, this type of concept is as genuinely outdated as The Shape or The Hag's Power concepts and this game should strive to improve itself by undoing these concepts.
For your closing statement......Legion also exists and Thana is also viable on Legion still? Besides that, I've always considered Plague to be a very balanced killer in terms of design. Another poster on here @SuzuKR stated a good idea for her. Make our fountain RNG not absolutely terrible on some maps. I see some plagues on swamp load in and never will go to the absolutely corner of swamp to throw the game to get her corrupt then walk back over to the gens.
-
Nurse shouldn't be buffed. If anything she needs to be balanced out more which thankfully the devs are looking at the blink travel speed on the range addons with what we saw on the Project W PTB. Otherwise, Maybe some bug fixes if she has any and maybe make it so her blink attacks are special attacks instead of basic. Nurse herself doesn't need any buffs at all.
-
Red Forest......is a pain in the booty generally speaking with its large size. Hag especially speaking since she's a gen defense killer and for the most part that's one of the largest maps in the game. Eyrie of crows is also a pain with all the loops but once those pallets in the middle are gone and main doors are broken out I can deal with it more. I like to bring Brutal Strength just to feel happier kicking all those pallets.
-
What we all really want is the BP incentives to come back soon. I remember them saying they'd return with Wesker's release and they were also turned on in the PTB. That should definitely help out with the BP grind in some way!
-
I myself just view my team mate in a more "UGH" type of light. I just leave generally unless the killer was just face camping the entire match then I might dip a few tea bags into my tea. Otherwise, I like to strictly leave it towards aggressive plays and respectfully try to leave once exits are open.
-
I honestly would just look more forward to the queue times. If the queue times get any longer would you mind waiting 10 minutes to get into a more fair match? I don't think so. Most people don't like waiting in a game queue for that long. I'd rather take the 1-4 minute queue times with semi-unpredictable matchmaking.

Ever since the update I can't play this game. It's intolerable. I wish I could get refunded for all the money I wasted on this game.
Honestly, I can't really understand your point since it's more or less probably the balance changes. Whenever I buy a game I look forward to having a fun time meeting new friends and involving myself with the community. Also, playing the game to just have fun usually does the trick for me. Buying a game and wishing you hadn't bought it because of some balance changes is more or less something no one can expect. You may wish you might not have bought it but give it another chance. Play with some of your friends who may have the game or try looking at this game with a more casual, for fun mindset which doesn't care necessarily about losing or winning!
-
I honestly see a majority of the blights do this at objects that are of the low lying variety. Mainly cars. I for one am happy that it's being looked at because if it is unintentional then it shouldn't even have a chance to be in play imo. Though, I do worry about the bugs that may come as a result but then again this is Dead By Daylight is it not?
-
I usually see a lot of my friends leave negative reviews that are somewhat memey but they still play the game. I myself am more concerned with steam numbers than reviews.
-
I want you all to imagine a world where Huntress could break breakable walls with her hatchets. Would be cool. I support this though for slinger since he could use it and it really wouldn't be that much to his kit since walls.
-
I mean Kinship does currently exist as a survivor general perk now. I don't see an issue with Reassurance being tied to a licensed DLC.
-
Honestly this would be insanely horrid to verse from a survivor POV. I could imagine it now. After a long match against the a killer with a 3 gen they just decide to take back their gen and we have ANOTHER one to do? No thank you. I'm happy with it being 5 gens we need to complete only.
-
I have also been seeing tons of Myers. However, they've either been running scratched mirror myers on an indoor map or tombstone myers. Though there was one myers that was AFK and had dead rabbit and tombstone piece but I don't count him since he was AFK and returned end game. I've also been seeing tons of Freddys as well? Has this been happening to anyone else or is it just my luck?
-
Hey, I'd gladly take Dead Dawg Saloon instead of being sent to the Game 3 times in a row.
-
My biggest lose streak was around 6-7 matches on survivor then I got a killer that was newer to Sadako and won that one and then had a mixture of losses and wins after that.

Basement should go honestly.
GRANTED! Basement is now gone. Replaced with: The Attic!

There used to be a situation a long time ago when this used to be a problem. The devs fixed this issue though thankfully. I do hope it NEVER returns. Maybe just a coincidence?
-
Definitely will be buying it! I love the Resident Evil Franchise as a whole and couldn't dare miss out on any characters!
-
Ultimately depends on the hatch god. If I'm carrying the survivor and hatch spawns right at my feet I kneel to the commands and give the survivors hatch.
-
I like to play for fun so I really don't mind losing/winning. If I didn't have fun then I guess that's a loss to me.
-
I've gone against a lot of Myers as well. However, I've never seen this exposed boom sound unless they're running Haunted grounds which will do the thunder cracks. Myers once he reaches T3 it'll pop up on your left hand corner that you're exposed telling you this. I don't ever recall Myers having that boom crack like Haunted Grounds. I believe it is just the musical cue you will hear and the hud icon!
-
For the most part Zombies seem to only be a real problem on indoor maps but now with them widening RPD I really don't see an issue with them. For the most part the Zombies I see run into corners/trees/rocks. Maybe occasionally they'll find a 3 gen and guard that but they'll leave like 10 seconds into their patrol for something else that caught their eye. I find it a cool addition that the zombies have collision because this could setup for plays for the Nemesis player if the zombie happens to be in that area.
-
I guess now a days the icons of horror would be like Five Nights At Freddys? I myself do fear animatronics greatly and wouldn't mind their addition to the game but FNAF no where compares to the legends of old. The horror masters themselves. Maybe the Conjuring Universe's The Nun is up there now as well. I see many people talking bout her.

I was only giving two examples. Surveillance won't work with eruption, call of brine, dragons, etc. Discordance won't work with call of brine, eruption, dragons, etc, and there's several more examples. Too many perks share the same aura colors. It makes everything far more confusing and even entirely breaks perks in some situations when using icons would fix it all in one swoop.
Trail torment, sure you could technically trick a survivor, but you have no feedback if that's actually happening or not as you don't know what they are running. It just muddies the water unnecessarily across the board. Icons would be a simple and effective fix.
It will fix perks from breaking and make everything less RNG in regards to why generators are lighting up. They color up because they are supposed to provide information, but they are failing to provide reliable information due to overlaps. Imagine if various perks made hooks also white. It would end up being rng if you're actually hooking on a scourgehook. The gens are no different. While you may want to strategize around trail of torment, it's too chaotic and rng dependant to viable actually use in practice.
As for surveillance and call of brine, yeah you'll know of someone is there if they are doing good skill checks, but it entirely invalidates the point of running surveillance...which is to see which gens are regression, period.
It's more of a situation of which perks are generally better for this argument. Why would someone wish to run both COB and Surveillance at once unless they also have Ruin with them as well. In general practice most killers would be running one or the other unless again they're doing the randomizers. For Trail Of Torment, You can get pretty good value out of it as a killer though there is the problem once survivors know you're running it they know sort of where you are unless you straight up leave the gen which in most cases is what you should be doing to get full usage out of it unless you wish to gamble on the survivor coming to said gen. However, that's the same with a lot of perks. You could also debate that Hex perks are the same as aura perks because some do counter each other completely and wouldn't make sense running with them and on the killers POV you don't know which one they'll be breaking. Back to the topic though, There are perks in game that simply won't work with each other at all. Oppression is another good example. Which is why the killer player needs to pick and choose what they want to run. Experimenting is nice and all and you get to figure out what works and what doesn't.
-
I'd like to say Trail Of Torment making it so that the gen appears yellow to survivors is a fine addition. It gives the killer the ability to try and plan out either an ambush as well as information if the person goes to tap the gen. It making the survivors confused as to whether this gen is afflicted with Blast Mine or Situational Awareness is up to the survivors to decide if they wish to go there. They will though probably eventually figure out what is going on. It only adds to the flavor of the match and how it will go. For Call Of Brine and Surveillance, you'll know that Call Of Brine is active because of the noise notifications it will give you when the survivor hits a good skill check on the generator. The only times though I ever see both perks ran together are with randomizers generally though since most people will pick COB.
-
I personally would love to see those maps reworked because I'd like to see what they'd do with them graphically. The gameplay as of now is meh. I prefer going to Pale Rose because the big boat goes toot!

Well, Your matchmaking sounds cursed if it's only going to be Spirit.
But back to the OP. I wholeheartedly disagree with this recommendation mainly due to queue times for said killers could be absolutely horrendous and would most likely just drive people away from the game because they can't play their favorite character for 40 minutes to an hour before they get into a match only to have one person DC or give up anyways because something didn't go their way. I could honestly just see it backfiring completely.
-
Probably end up going against these killers the most:
Huntress
Blight
Pyramid Head
Bubbas
-
I like that they added in the Konami code to DBD. I honestly loved all the easter eggs silent hill brought us!
-
With Nurse's range addons being nerfed to no longer make her blink travel speed faster I think she's in a fair place. Blight is the one I have troubles with now because of his addons overall. Hopefully, BHVR will look at his most powerful addons sometime soon.
I forgot to add, Nurse maybe needs a little bit more done such as making her blink attacks special attacks instead of just basic attacks.
-
I agree with the above posters. This idea would make queue times worse to the point some people might be waiting 40 minutes to an hour for a match. That in essence is not fun. Maybe a map ban mechanic would work better?
-
Number 7 is basically just play on Ormond. I usually though like to run Winter cosmetics during the seasonal changes. I find it refreshing to change my characters from their summer cosmetics in the summer to their fall and winter cosmetics.
-
I don't generally see Prestige as a toxic mechanic because to me it's just how much time that person has invested into that character. The prestige mechanic doesn't equal a player's playstyle at all imo.
-
The most boring killer in my experience I've played against is probably either Trapper, Hag, or Nurse for me. Since a majority of the time they're setting up their trap zones and don't really chase as much unless you're in their trap zone. Especially for Hags who stay in their zones resetting the hag traps you just triggered. Other than that I also dislike going against Nurse's mainly because the ones I see run the same build over and over. Thank god Range addons are getting getting nerfed.
-
I remember seeing 1 demo this week. Could've been two maybe.
