Watch out guys, you can see gen auras! Clearly the most OP out there and holds your hand to get those wins !
It tells you exactly where the survivors are.
If you are so bad you can't 4k practically every game with giant red blaring lights telling you where to go I don't know what to tell you.
-
Lol you could just learn to play the game instead of being a bb killer lol.
I play perkless/soundless/powerless nurse and refuse to move until exit gates are powered and I still 4k 9 in 10 matches. I mean the game literally highlights the gens for you what more of a handhold do you need?
If you seriously can't figure it out you can try fortnight. I heard they added Naruto you must be excited about that. :)

I'm complaining as a killer main, who's noticing it while playing killer. It only makes the game easier for me, but that's not exactly a good thing.
Do what I do, I don't play with sound/perks/powers. Even then I still 4k pretty much every game but it brings back a little bit of a challenge.
Good luck in trying to squeeze some challenge out of this killer sided cluster ######### of a game. I've hit the point where i dont even play till the gate are powered and its still to easy to 4k....

That's in Legion's bio, yes, but that's not tragic backstory. If anything, that pushes her more toward irredeemable.
You're right objectively but not socially.
Socially speaking that makes Frank even more responsible because he didn't empower her to make a better decision. Instead he was a toxic male whose toxicity made her feel like she had to impress him.
.... Yeah it's pretty stupid but watch enough true crime and guess what the number two argument from a grown woman for why she did something awful after "I was afraid of him".
Its "I wanted to impress him". It works less then you would think but far, far more often then you'd hope.

Because that detracts from the survivor’s 5k survival BP? Guess these kind folks could not offer any extra BP at all! 🤷🏼♂️
They should just leave.
If you wanna be nice leave. The kindest thing you can do is leave so the killer can move on to the next game.
Add in that for every one survivor who might be doing this you get about 6 or 10 straight games of people running out the gate tbagging.
Just leave.

Its fine. The way people were talking I was expecting loud flashing lights.

If your not bothering to chase anyone and just sitting at those 3 gens it is holding the game hostage.
Problem with that is when survivors sprint burst to the exact opposite side of the map.
I know what you're doing, I'm not going to chase you so someone else can stress free repair the gen. At the very least pretend to not immediately shift+w to the opposite side the second you see me.

The same logic can go the other way around though? If you wanted to tunnel someone it won’t change really if you had a survivor hook counter or not
Okay? I really don't know what your talking about.
All I said was it's not a big deal the killer doesn't have the same hook counter because it's easy to keep track mentally, even while I'm stoned.
I dont have any intrest in the pointless tunnel arguments.

Now what if that dwight had been doing nothing but stealthing in lockers, barely doing gens, not unhooking, and generally just being a crap teammate. Im not saying you have to give someone hatch but if i have a useless teammate who has done almost nothing helpful all game i will do my best to get that person killed.
I've had people use that argument on me for jumping in lockers before a hook to dodge bbq. If they talk in chat they say essentially what you do despite me spending not even a minute the entire round cumulatively in a locker.
When I play killer I generally assume they are being an #########. Quite frequently because I HAVE seen them repairing gens despite the other survivors insistence.
Its especially better to assume they are being an ######### because you have no idea and working with survivors is reportable.

Oh, I've never had that happen... but if it did I would smack that Survivor into the dirt so hard they'd leave an impact crater.
You're lucky. I get it somewhay frequently, especially on weekends, and it's like getting bad news during a meal. Ruins the taste.

It’s actually funny because killing yourself on hook ruins other peoples fun and killers get really righteous about this and say how bad it is to do/it should be punished.
Yet camping and tunnelling ruin someone else’s game too but because it’s a ‘viable strategy’ it’s completely fine and should be punished.
The hypocrisy is real.
You're arguments aren't any less hypocritical if we're generalizing people here like you are.
I have never once been in a game where survivors slow down if they pop 3 gens before a hook. Survivors absolutely will end a match in 5 minutes if they can, and since there are four of them the chance one will mouth off is higher.
At best here you are talking out of your ass to uphold some idiotic narrative of us vs them. At worst you're little more than a troll.

The big thing is to not particularly care about what your opponents think. Play the game and if they act like ######### in chat screw around with them.
I do things like sing backstreetboys songs, ask "lol what?" Over and over and other such things. It makes their comments quite a lot funnier and reduces anxiety because you will realize quickly its not someone worthwhile passing judgment but a child, or at least someone acting as one, screaming because they lost or gloating because they won.
Just don't say anything legit offensive and your golden. Not only because it's wrong, but they want you to do it to validate their behaviour. They need to feel like the hero or the victim. Someone prattling on about meatloaf recipes doesn't really do either.
-
Try and unlock mad grit. Nothing is funnier then downing the other three survivors all thinking they are going to sabo the hook. Then still hooking cause they have essentially frozen the struggle timer.

All we need is for people to stop threatening my mother for doing it and we are all set.
-
Iron grip or agitation usually gets people angry at me.
My combo of those two and mad grit and lightborn caused someone to type ######### in chat till it closed XD
-
I'm just going to slug them like I do now when they try and pull that.
-
Most of the time the reason why you were camped or tunneled isn't because the killer is mean or lazy, it's because you were unhooked less than ten seconds after you were hooked and your teammate ditched you.
It is extremely rare I do not have someone unhooked while I am still right there kicking a gen or placing a power. If the survivors I play could chill the ######### out long enough to let me walk away I'd probably be distracted by something. Instead I turn around and see three sets of eyes peeking at me from behind vaults and bushes.
-
I legit feel hampered by having it, but need the bp.
Seriously it feels like taking off weighted clothing the moment I can stop wasting a perk slot for bp and can use better tracking perks.
Spies in the shadows has singlehandedly won me more games than bbq has even slightly contributed beyond bp.
-
I'm pretty sure there is a word for specifically hating someone based on nationality but its not really in fashion for reasons I don't feel like being flamed for talking about.
It is however still bigotry and prejudice. Report it.
As well posts like this aren't good. If those people are on the forum you have essentially told them they won. The goal is to make you react, because reacting means they had an affect on you. This post just proves they did.
-
Nope.
If I can heal and I'm in a pallet standoff you better believe I will. Same if I fake a vault and the killer goes round.
In reality the only in game bm I consider real are wasting my time by scratching your anus at the exit gate. Slugging everyone and waiting for bleedout. ACTUALLY holding the game hostage. Sandbagging someone in a corner. Ratting out your teammates.
Fun fact I've had survivors join me in staring at a rat suicide on hook. It was quite wholesome.
-

I've had people ask me why I tunnelled them to death and the honest answer is I literally just did not know.

I just pay attention to clothes colour and and that's who you are now. Pink shirt. Green onsie. Starbucks employee. Dwight.
Yes, Dwight is now a colour. He is a special boy that way.

Its really not hard to remember unless you willingly play against clones.
I have little trouble remembering who I hooked and its rare I don't play stoned.
Conversely it can be difficult to remember who has been hooked for survivor because you need to connect names to characters.
I really don't think it's a big deal.

@dezzmont said:
The main thing killer needs IMO is a lot of QOL love.
The game is killer sided. Killers are the stronger role. A good killer playing perfectly should win every time.
But killer is also the more frustrating, busy, and hampered role. Basically everything about killer is designed to be as infuriating as possible. Stuff like constant camera locks, the ability to be blinded while you lack control over your camera, loops as the main game mechanic over stuff like hiding or break aways (and to be clear survivors need loops, juke based gameplay died with the survivor speed waaaay back when), and lots of other mechanics that allow a survivor to openly 'brute force' past you or otherwise have power in a situation they shouldn't.
DS+UB is actually really important to consider, because while is meta and strong, it isn't so strong killers can't win if they play well, it changes basically nothing about the 'ideal' win condition of snowballing save adding an extra step. But it is so ABSURDLY INFURIATING to killers because it creates a scenario where despite the survivor not even trying to escape you they have more power than you.
Other problems include stuff like lacking a real way to concede (End game collapse actually upsets me because it was downright OPTIMIZED to let survivors bully killers), a refusal to buff killers to be interesting or impactful, and nerfing tools killers have that make the game smoother and less frustrating. For example, ruin undying was too strong, but it also solved a problem where good killer play moment to moment wasn't rewarding at all unless you were playing amazingly the entire time. It gave you a concrete reward for correctly pressuring gens and allowed you to meaningfully extend the game for good tracking. Did it need a nerf? Sure. But its no wonder killers are furious because their tools are constantly nerfed in ways that remove the positives of them while survivor tools get nerfed in meaningful ways that maintain the intense negatives for the killer.
Killer is also physically exhausting. The camera locks are some of the best in gaming so it isn't physically nauseous save for nurse, but it still makes killer gameplay fatiguing. And killers have no downtime, they have to be constantly doing things all the time, so every little bit adds up and causes killers to quit.
And to be clear, its obviously why most of this stuff is in the game, mechanically it mostly works fine: Camera locks allow survivors to try to do more jukes and evasion based strategies which are cool. Its just that it all adds up in a really negative way for the killer experience which makes winning a killer game not feel good unless its a total blowout, and losing a killer game a nightmare as your forced to continually actively participate in your loss to do dumb stuff like run people out.
So what do I think killer needs?
1: More punishment for 'longer' bodyblocks such as it auto-damaging you after 2 seconds or something of uninterrupted contact with you not moving away. Pinning the killer to the wall should be an insane strategy, you should be trying to eat a hit or buy a few seconds not physically halt the killer entirely.
2: Get rid of camera lock blinds. Yes, this makes flashlights even worse, but as we learned from Deathgarden maybe having a major interaction component be '######### with a player's vision' is not fun and contributes to a lot of burnout.
3: A real surrender system. Killers should be able to end the game with a 'GG you win' rather than have survivors run around them and teabag until they start chasing again despite the gates being 99'd.
4: More base regression in kit. Killers seriously need this, like I think killers should get a 'mini pop' base kit so that killers feel way more rewarded for winning a chase. Bonus points: It teaches killers not to camp without a very good reason.
For meta changes that I think are more critical, because I think the killer die-off was way more 'Ok this game doesn't treat us well' rather than 'the game has a lack of balance':
5: Actual consideration to the EMOTIONAL impact of changes for killers, like they do for survivors, rather than just making it purely for the survivor's emotional needs. The devs treat killers and survivors EXTREMELY differently, and the mori nerf is a prime example of, frankly, scummy behavior. Its so telling they didn't warn the killers about the mori change because it would make survivors feel bad to have a week or two of killers using their moris, but killers have to just deal with keys for an indefinite period still as survivors burn through em as fast as they can. Like holy ######### that was just awful and its no wonder survivor Qs are 20 minutes now you treat killers like garbage, that was the kinda stuff that lead to the killer strike but now killers don't even want to talk to the devs anymore because its so clear its all appeasement.
6: Get off the stats based balancing holy crap. OoO needed to go a year ago how the hell is it still in the game? Actually think about what things do to the gameplay loop when it negatively affects killers, rather than just what it does mechanically. The idea that OoO or Keys weren't a problem because their win rate wasn't high is so amazingly dumb and ignores why people hate these mechanics. Its way more critical for the game to feel good to play than the game having a balanced win rate: this is why its ok that NOED is bad for example, because emotionally its a powerful perk that does good things for the game. This is why its bad that Adrenaline is so good: It feels awful for adrenaline plays to happen for the killer and while this high point is great for survivors that is ultimately what most killers feel is the only consideration here and it combos awfully with DS-Unbreakable.
I doubt much else needs to be said. Extra points for formatting in a pleasing way. Thank you for putting these things into words when it can sometimes be hard to :).

Huntress is not an animal. She is an absolute sociopath.
- She didn't kill to survive. She did it for sport, switching from large animals to humans. A hermit who is one with the nature is more likely to avoid people and only act in self defense, not actively pursue unlucky strangers and slaughter them.
- She has no empathy. She had a loving mother, she knew how it feels to lose a mom, but it didn't stop her from forcefully taking girls after disemboweling their parents (and brothers) before their eyes. Her affection towards the girls was extremely selfish: she didn't care that they were traumatized, sick, starving and absolutely unwilling to call her "Mom".
As for the Legion gals, we're not talking about how the legal system would treat them, we're talking about their actual guilt and they're certainly guilty. Even that one, who wasn't that willing to stab people - she could've grown a spine and told the police, but she chose to stay complacent.

I can see your grievances (I actually do see a lot of sympathy for Wraith and Trapper).
I'm unsure about Joey, but I think he's the most hesitant if cosmetics are to be believed, but I can't remember.
I feel like for the most part, DbD has made every killer at least slightly understandable. Most of them were systematically abused for a long period of time, all in various ways. Frank is a foster kid who had a long, hard life. His most recent foster father was an alcoholic who never paid attention to him.
Even Kazan (Oni) THINKS he's doing the right thing. I mean, he's still a murderer and 100% in the wrong, but he thinks he's right.
That leaves only Doc, Ghostie, and Clown, but he never really had parents so he's somewhat debateable.
I'd say that ONLY Doc and Ghostface fit this stereotype. That's pretty damn little for a game about murders.
For wraith I have see lots of sympathy as well. This thread is probably the first time I have ever seen anyone say trapper/hillbilly weren't just evil to be honest.
For legions backstory it's hard for me to not view it through my countries legal system. A Canadian jury would not hesitate to punish Frank and Joey, Suzie would likely be brought in as a witness and Julie would only face punishment if she refused to roll on Frank.
Also thanks for not immediately jumping down my throat with insults like I normally experience with this topic. It was nice for a change.

I mean, yes, most of the original female killers are innocent, other than Huntress and Halfway Charlotte.
But plenty of the male original killers are just as much victims.
Wraith did nothing wrong. Probably tortured by The Entity.
Trapper was tortured by the Entity and probably had an abusive, manipulative father.
Hillbilly was abused literally most of his life.
Blight was driven mad by the Entity.
None of them are "evil", they were forced into their current situation by either their parents or the Entity.
The only killers that fit this stereotype you see is Oni, Doc, and Clown. Ghostface too, but he's the weird half licensed cousin.
And I'd say Julie and Suzie are still pretty damn evil. Julie leaned hard into Frank's way of life.
You're right, I am being a little salty on this. It's just extremely annoying to see the frequency of this as it reinforces the whole no agency for women hyper agency for men. It's not fair to anyone and I'd like to see devs break out of these stereotypes more often.
Still tho, you won't see near as much sympathy for trapper or Billy that you will for the legion girls and it feels like the core story really wants you to feel that they are doing it due to Frank's control.
I just want to have a really cool psychopath that's a women. A character where there is no argument and is a good old fashioned monster for us to play as.
Instead it's pick your flavor of victim/debatable victim....

The Huntress is far from innocent. She killed entire families and then kept kidnapped children as pets, watching them die a slow and painful death. Legion girls are also not innocent because simping for a bully is not an excuse.
The legion girls would walk on all charges in Canada and be given witness protection and the medias favour. They would absolutely be viewed as victims of Frank.
For huntress I may have missed extended lore for her but she is supposed to be essentially an animal right? Mother died when she was young and self taught to survive?
Huntress may be an exception if I am ass backwards on that. But she'd still just be the exception like wraith.
-
The list is easy.
Are they an original character by Behavior and are male? They are evil.
Are they an original character by Behavior and are female? They are innocent victims.
Its a trend I was really, really hoping they would stop and then they didn't.

The problem is just the game doesn't change. I kinda wish they would make a dbd 2 but I feel like the licenses that saved the game are gonna hold it back since they'd likely lose most if not all of them.
The game needs to be far, far more fleshed out. Each monster should have a suite of customizable domains themed after the killer. Survivors should have a multitude of tasks that actually reinforce the whole not a team just not enemies the survivors are supposed to be.
DbD is a game that feels trapped in early access. I kinda blame the licensed characters tho, not like hate blame just... I wonder how different the game might have been if they didn't worry about losing or disturbing so many licenses.
Edit: Should probably explain what this has to do with the topic. The issue is since the gameplay from the beginning has essentially become more and more simple with little changes it has created a dual problem. New blood is uninterested, old blood gets way to comfortable.
Drop ten bucks and get your ass kicked by a team of survivors who have over 30k hours between them. Play survivor solo and instantly lose because you have no idea what's happening and your either with other solos or swf who couldn't give less of a ######### about you. Play enough to understand the game and realize there isn't really much to learn, just repeat till habit. New blood leaves. Old blood stays.
Older players get set in their ways and get pissed when anything changes their surefire gameplay loop. Everything that makes said loop break is just "broken" "unfun" "unfair" "toxic" etc. etc. People form groups centered around their preferred side, and people start spending more time complaining on forums then playing the game. Then, when they do play the game, they let out all their anger on some person.
It's kinda sad. This game has such a massive amount of potential. There is so ######### much they can do with it. They won't, probably because the game has come close to dying before and their second game died as well. They are paranoid and afraid to change the game, so the playerbase becomes smaller and more cynical.

You're reading so far into this in an attempt to dismiss this post as a "witch hunt" based upon "social guilt". The differences between "DbD should have an Indian Character!" (the thread's actual title) and "An Indian character would be cool!" (your proposed title) is negligible. They both communicate exactly the same message - a desire for an Indian character in the game.
Nothing about this post was a criticism of the developers or a probing of the community to see who will "argue the merits of racism". Here, you've jumped to the conclusion that the post's intention was to start controversy with absolutely no evidence. The original poster didn't say "I want an Indian character and if you disagree you're racist". They simply stated that Dead by Daylight should include an Indian character. You seem to have constructed this narrative from absolutely nowhere.
Also, I think you massively underestimate the amount of racism, homophobia, sexism etc people encounter in gaming spaces such as the DbD forums. Do you remember when the developers said they were going to add an LGBTQ+ character and there was a massive outcry on social media (including the forums)? The truth is that the majority are not indifferent to matters such as this. It may be your experience but it certainly isn't mine.
Hey there! You seem to want to make a comment but from your first paragraph I don't think you actually read my post. Please do read it if you'd like to comment! Have a great day! No skimming kay.

So hey, gonna throw this out here considering the fight happening.
The issue here isn't that people are opposed to having a wide range of characters.
The issue is threads like these are at best egotistical and at worst condescending/insulting. Does anyone here actually think someone is going to come in here argue the merits of racism and racial exclusions. Like... like really? Is that a thing y'all expecting on the dbd forum?
So realistically it looks like an attempt for people to remind each other how progressive and diverse they think they are. The devs aren't living in some sterile bubble. They understand diversity exists. They understand there is a wide range of characters you can make.
What IS a healthy way to discuss this? Bringing it up in appropriate ways such as surveys or open questions from behaviour. Here's a tip, mention it as a reminder like, "Hey, An Indian character would be cool!" As a response to an open tweet.
For posts, rather than phrase it like the sterile witch hunt this thread comes off as why not talk and share ideas for characters and backgrounds. Positive conversation from a basis of understanding that the majority are at worst indiffierent and at best happily accepting to a more diverse roster makes for a better environment that fosters positivity.
As a contrast to this threads title, consider how, "I've got some ideas for an Indian character in dbd, what do yall think, any suggestions/ideas?" Would come off.
By stepping forward in a positive, inclusive title with a root in creativity it makes the post earnest. Conversely this thread comes off as sterile, unimaginative, and like your uncle is trying to figure out if you're secretly racist the same way he'd try and figure out if you smoke pot underage.
Positivity, creativity, and open mindedness are the greatest tools for equality.
Not benign gesturing to statistics and social guilt.

You're going to depip no matter how much survivors run around in your face if you don't hook anyone.
Which would lead to reason number 2.
-
@jester20k said:
Yeah its annoying, half of them are wraiths, I don't get why wraith, you're gonna afk depip you.may as well do it that a killer that survivors can run around in front of to max chase, that way you aren't screwing others and you get some bloodpoints.
There are 2 main reasons a killer will go afk from the start of a match to the post game screen.
Either they are trying to de pip, which means they would naturally avoid anything that might give them points.
Or it's malicious compliance.
One issue with playing killer is that there are many times where you will have game after game where no matter what you do it's wrong and you are a toxic nazj that would make Hitler ask you to tone it down.
This forum and subreddit also have many that argue that essentially every perk is a toxic hate crime if you're killer, mixed with about six hundred contradictory rules that if you literally quote back at the poster will explain how you are sticking words in their mouth.
This can lead to the player feeling utterly powerless, and thus the only option left is to maliciously comply. They sat still and did nothing. They didn't play toxic because they didn't play. You can't accuse them of ending the game early, tunneling, camping, or anything else.
All you can do is complain you didn't get points.

I didn't say that gen rushing doesn't exist, just that most people use the term incorrectly, just like tunneling. My definition of tunneling is when a killer will repeatedly and purposely only go after one survivor and ignore the other survivors, even when doing so will lose them the game.
Newer players are an exception to the whole tunneling thing since they're new and don't really understand the mechanics of DBD fully.
Alright? I sorta feel like you've gotten my post mixed up with someone else's.
My point was that I dont consider them different because tunneling is largely used the same way you described genrushing. While in ideal conditions they have a meaning, it rarely surfaces and is usually just something shouted to distract from one's on failures. Common usage versus intended meaning and all that.
However I did feel that recognizing new players was important because this forum can frequently argue that its somehow good for a brand new killer to get absolutely crushed, but I can see how I could have structured the paragraph better to not imply that is what you meant.

i think hook scoring events should get a couple of additions, for killer and survivor.
for survivor you should gain BP for going from one hook phase into the other without speeding the process up, and some bonus points for being close to the killer while doing so.
e.g.
"Abandoned" - + 2000 Altruism points (applies any time you go from one hook stage into another without speeding up the process)
"Killer Occupation" - + 5000 Objective Points + 5000 Boldness Points (applies when you die with the killer killer staying within a certain radius towards the hook for a certain amount of time)
for killers i think you should get bonus BP when survivors suicide on hook, so failed self unhook attempts and failed struggeling should reward bonus points to make somewhat up for people quitting instantly.
e.g.
"Futile Struggle" - + 500 Sacrifice Points (applies when the survivor stops struggeling on hook)
"Fruitless Escape" - +200 Sacrifice Points (applies any time the survivor makes an escape attempt that does not free them)
those are just some ideas, we could add more / move the numbers around ofc, but i generally think such point score events would be a good addition.
While requiring refining this is the better argument. Rewards in game are almost always the best answer since its, well, a game. The stance of "Do it and I'll spank you!" that a lot of people take only results in two things, good players quitting for being punished for bad reason, troll players continuing to not care because they are troll players.
I like the idea of Survivors getting boldness points for being face camped. Something like after 5-10 seconds of the killer within 16-24 meters of the hook should count as double boldness, retroactively paying out for the first 4-9 seconds once triggered.
30+seconds in this radius while hooked is 2.5k altruisim and a safety pip, 5k for 60+ seconds.
For killer, the problem with suiciding on hook is that I kind of don't want that to be possible anymore. My spin would be that instead of safe and unsafe unhooks safe unhooks are just unhooks and reward double current points. Unsafe unhooks are a reward for the killer at the current safe unhook amount, and survivors are not rewarded for them at all.
As well to replace the struggle mechanic because I rarely see anyone say anything positive about it. Rather what I would want is the survivor to get a mechanic where when hooked they can slow the timer down by holding down space, but can't be unhooked during or for 2-3 seconds after. That way if the survivor KNOWS that being unhooked is going to kill them, they don't have to be, it saves time, scores them more boldness points if they are being camped, and turns face camping into a 1k maybe 2k into a 1k maybe 0k.
I also like the idea of a perk called "Yeah, see that's why I did that" for survivors if someone gets downed in an incredibly close range of them(Edit: While in the holding can't be rescued stance). Something like bonus time or maybe a free unhook chance if the other survivor gets hooked themselves.
There are honestly tons of changes big and small that can improve the hook states in the game that don't require punishment, it's nice to see the argument surface once in awhile. Thank you :)

Difference is that "gen rushing" doesn't really exist, unless we're talking about something like Marths depip squad. If your playing killer and multiple gens are getting down really quickly, your just not putting enough pressure on the survivors. I main blight and use pop + corrupt + tinkerer with him and I havent had game where I was like "Damn I was completely powerless to stop the survivors and they actually gen rushed me."
The problem with your argument is that it implies that you have a similar level of experience and both words are being used in their original intention. In which case you are absolutely right, "genrushing" is an excuse for poor play by the killer.
If you just started playing the game, at most have maybe a few dozen rounds under your belt, and likely you're three teachables unmaxed are your best perks on a killer you are still trying to figure out you're argument loses most of it's merit.
The reason why is because the most common argument opposed to 'tunneling" is that it isn't fun to be tunneled. It's also not fun to lose a game because you barely know what you are doing and the four people act like you are some kind of scum bag for losing. The reality is that even at rank 20-15 you will still have purple/red ranks say some messed up ######### after stomping someone with literal years less experience than them.
This is then exacerbated by the fact that "tunneling" is predominantly used as an excuse for poor play on the survivors behalf in higher ranks. The killer is not obligated to let a survivor go because they behaved predictably or stupidly. If you get unsafe unhooked and your choice is to run right back to the gen you were picked off from, or worse, selfcare under the damn hook or body block for the unhooker when you don't have bt that's not the killers bad, yet commonly it will be called the killers bad even if your Frosty self would never do that, which I am honestly assuming you wouldn't.
When you are dealing with a scenario where almost any response from the other team is an accusation of unfair play instead recognizing they lost due to poor decisions you just stop caring. Which is why I'd argue that from it's most frequent usages tunneling is the same as genrushing, as they are both made up words used by players to rationalize being an agro jerk post game.

It's like saying
"I didn't mean to steal that money officer but the cash was there and the guard looked away it's not my fault, it's the banks fault for letting me get that close, so u shouldn't arrest me "
No.
That has nothing to do with the original argument. The issue at play is "Does this behavior count as unsportsmanlike and thus a reportable offence and if not, should it be?" Not "As long as I blame the victim for not stopping/being able to stop me I shouldn't be punished."
I get that it's super trendy to whip out victim blaming every chance you can, but stop. Seriously ######### stop. It's not cool. It doesn't make you smart. It doesn't make you progressive. It's belittling a real issue for trivial reasons.
I know I'm just going to be told to ######### off. I always am when I tell people to stop abusing that argument for trivial bullshit. So after you are done dismissing what I said pleasepleaseplease consider not making arbitrary comparisons to real problems. It's not helping.

As in she is starting to reach "Nurse tier" with the amount of game breaking bugs she has.

She's the buggiest Killer in the game. Well, was, I think the Twins have beaten her at that now.
So am I right to assume the bug that causes the game to crash if you are puking as the last survivor escapes still exists? Cause I quit the game for a long time over that.

Maybe cause Oni is one of Spirit's ancestor ? The kind of link is not two-sided...
Like I have a medal from my great grand father but my great grand father never had my tennis cup.
That kinda link is commonly two sided tho. The tradition of giving gifts to an elder, even postmortem, as a sign of respect is pretty common.
You have your great grandfather's medal but nothing says you can't give your great grandfather your tennis cup if you truly mean it as a sign of respect. I mean I've worked with more than a few people with troubled youths. It was very common for them to give there grandparents their diplomas as a sign of gratitude and respect for not giving up on them when others did, even a few who sealed it in a tube and left it at their resting place.
Nothing says spirit can't give her ancestor a symbol of her respect in someway that could be reflected as a cosmetic.

Any number of reasons.
Maybe they just feel bad it took them so long.
Maybe they don't see the hook slapping head shaking as the massive middle finger people seem to take it as.
Maybe you're not telling us that the face camping happened after the doors are powered.
Maybe they are just playing for fun, and whether you like it or not thats what's fun to them, and once again they don't get how it's pissing you off this bad because they shook there head and slapped you in a video game, not spouted off slurs in chat or harassed you over messages/on your profile.
Maybe they realize they don't have the ability to beat this set of survivors and rather than play the fool to four people they play the fool to one and at least get a kill.
Maybe they are just trying to be a ######### head because they want someone like you to get mad so they can read about how much they affected you on the forums/reddit.
Maybe they are having a miserable day and rather than taking it out on people in a way that could actually matter they slapped someone in a video game.
There's lots of reasons.

The survivor that gets pulled out of a cupboard and hooked twice comes to mind
They could have just thought it was funny because it's a locker Dwight. Also could just think the poor Dwight has no clue what's happening. It's hard to look into that little bastards eyes going wide in a locker and not want to let him go.
Seriously tho most killers do not put near the thought into it that you're thinking. More often than not if you get hatch it's likely because you happened to be the last and didn't contribute to the killers unnecessary stress.
Honestly the thing that leads me to let survivors go are really just: Played the game, played to win, didn't tbag literally every spare second, and I catch them running for an escape or pulling the lever I will almost always let them go... crawling on their stomach but they still get out.
Maybe that Dwight was just a pleasant person to play against, or they just felt bad?
