I made this guy up as a joke, but heck, maybe people will actually like the concept! The Salt is essentially a mummified survivor - without the mummy wraps. He’s all dry and shriveled like salt-packed meat. He wears a selection of tattered, mismatched clothing available to current survivors. His weapon is a mallet with the barely visible word “nurf” etched on the side. (Misspelled nerf intenti2 comments 51 views last activity

First of all, where’s the Wishlist?!? I guess they they removed that section from the forum. Anyway..... I think it would be nice to be able to cycle through and see the match results of some of my previous games. Maybe the last 10 or 20. Sometimes you might wanna show off that sweet 32,000 bps to a visiting buddy. Maybe you played against Ghost Face 3 times in a row and you have a sneaking susp0 comments 11 views last activity

Feel free to add to this list as you see fit, and have fun! The Tot: Level 19-20, total newb. This creature most commonly resembles a Dwight. Typically harmless to the killer’s time management, The Tot is more a liability to his team than a help. It is often found crouched at the edge of the map, staring at gates and willing them to open (despite the 3 gens remaining). Terrible at skill checks,10 comments 381 views last activity

This is something I’ve only recently noticed. A while ago it used to be common practice for a survivor to run to the hook for rescue with the killer right behind. The, um, 2-legged survivor would get on the opposite side of the hooked one, so that when the killer attacked, the hit would be absorbed by the hanging one. This would provide time for the rescue to complete and both survivors had a c5 comments 341 views last activity

Some players are all about ranking up and get really upset if a bad match costs them. Others are more about casual play and may feel “punished” after a series of good matches because they’re now being paired with stronger ranks. I would like to see some offerings that guarantee a white pip, and some that guarantee a black one. Basically a match that they can enjoy without worrying about pips fo2 comments 21 views last activity

Currently there are pallets and windows. I would like to make a hybrid in the form of doors with the top section broken off. A survivor can run through and slam the door, stunning the killer like a pallet. They can then jump back and forth through the window, and the Entity will block them after 3 jumps like a normal window. The killer can go through the window OR kick and break the rickety d0 comments 21 views last activity

Ok, I know this is a hot-button issue and people will think this is a bait post, but it’s not. Please hear me out. I think there could be strategic value to letting killers rebuild their totems and hexes, at nearly prohibitive time costs. This could be a perk or used at base, but imagine the possibilities. Example: Let’s say you cleanse Devour Hope after it has gotten 2 tokens. At that mom8 comments 251 views last activity

You guys all know about the exit gate bug where survivors technically escape, but still die by EGC. Well that was my inspiration for this idea. The TL/DR version is that survivors escape and run from the exit gate of one killer's map into the exit gate of another's. The detailed version is below. This idea is in its infancy, so everything I suggest is open to edits. There are a lot of balance iss8 comments 111 views last activity

First, I want to give credit to @Ark_the_Bonsai who provided the inspiration for this idea from his thread, found here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/600519#Comment_600519 I took the idea in a somewhat different direction, but it started here. The general premise was to create a selfish and bad character. This person has killed, but this alone was not enough to curr2 comments 71 views last activity

As it currently stands, the killer can open a gate “once all the generators are complete”. I would like to tweak this to add “or once the hatch has opened”. When I play against a weak survivor who is obviously still learning, I go easy on them and let them live most of the match. Since they hide more, they will often be the last one alive. While I don’t want to track down the hatch, or give it2 comments 21 views last activity

9 out of every 10 games I play as survivor, I spawn with other survivors. The vast majority of the time, it’s 3 or all 4 of us starting together. Shroud offerings are not put up in these matches either. Is anyone else experiencing this, or am I just lucky?3 comments 81 views last activity

I recently purchased all the “cash characters” during the birthday event, but now I’m seeing something kinda odd. Why does the killer bloodweb keep spawning these expensive “splinters” which allow me to play as the perkless version of a killer I already own? There have been a couple times when I was cornered into spending bloodpoints on them, which was a total waste. Is there any way to make them15 comments 162 views last activity

When using my iPhone to browse the forum here, it gets hot and the battery drains quickly (as in 1 to 2 percent per minute). I don’t have this issue on other websites, apps, or even graphically intensive games! I assume it’s the same issue causing the forum to be sluggish when typing and browsing. I know that BHVR is aware there are problems, but dang, this is getting ridiculous! Anyone experien3 comments 41 views last activity

3/4/5 additional totems are spawned, and 1/2/3 of them will be lit as though they were hexes. The killer sees the false hexes with white auras. When cleansed, they make the same noise notification as hexes. Side note: Survivors still earn the 1000 “Hex Cleansed” points for cleansing the fake ones. Ok so I was just working the numbers and I think that the “quitter bonus” could use an update. Now I’m taking these numbers from the Gamepedia wiki, so I hope they’re up-to-date. Anyway..... Let’s assume that the typical sacrifice of a survivor involves 2 hits, a hook, 2 more hits, another hook, 2 more hits, and a final hook. Each hit is worth 300 points. 300 x 6 = 1800 points. Cosmetics are typically a win-win, so long as buyers are happy with their purchases. Players like showing off, BHVR makes some cash, and it keeps the game from looking stale. But why limit yourselves to outfits? BHVR, maybe consider offering different animations for sale! Now the first thing that comes to mind here is the Mori animation for each killer. I would love to see a way to “earn” new rituals, on top of the Daily Rituals. Maybe get a new one for every 10 matches you play (or 7, or 5). For me, it’s not even really about the bloodpoints. I just like having challenge objectives to work toward, and working toward getting new ones (by playing matches) is kind of an objective all by itself!2 comments 22 views last activity

Ok so I’m in the cornfield, and about 10 seconds into the game Ghost Face comes snooping around the killer shack where I spawned. The Meg who spawned with me had just started the genny, so the killer knew someone was near. We had to scatter and, of course, I get chased. Out through the fields we go, then Into the wooden palisades. Pallet 1. We dance around and I miss with my flashlight. Break.11 comments 871 views last activity

One gameplay style might be all about chases, pallets, flashlight stuns, and perfect looping, while another is all about silence, avoidance, perfect skill checks, and general stealth. Both are great, but sometimes “boldness” seems out of place in an “escape and survive” type game, and “stealth” seems boring and built for noobies. I propose a toggle in the lobby for the “Boldness” category. Choo0 comments 21 views last activity

I’m a killer main, but survivor is fun. As a killer, I know what’s irritating: T-bagging, looping, flashlights, taunting in gangs, etc. etc. Well I’ve recently tried putting a new (to me) feature to use as survivor. That feature, my friends, is sabotage! I used to think it was useless, since the hooks grow back. Now I know that the trick is to 99% the hooks and drop them when the killer is carr16 comments 951 views last activity

This may be way overpowered, but it’s just something off the top of my head that sounds fun (maybe). With this perk, you are allowed to weaken 1/2/3 hooks by sabotaging them to 85% (progress bar will change color to notify you that the weakened effect has been applied). When a survivor is hooked on a weakened hook, it breaks. This drops the survivor to the ground and stuns the killer (like deci2 comments 43 views last activity

I’ve decided to try to improve my Nurse skills over the past few matches, because I am decidedly terrible at using this killer and never gave her much time. Ok, so a 5th perk slot. Cool, yeah? But there’s a catch! Have you ever played MarioKart where players select a track? Well, this will be like that. Once all 5 players have locked in at the lobby (the red slash is active) then the fun part begins! 4 random perks populate for the 1st survivor’s 5th slot, and the 4 other players (killer included) get to vote on it over a 7-second (or less if vot6 comments 82 views last activity

Think about it from a lore perspective. The overall idea is this: He can set up to 5 fires which spread in all directions up to a certain max size. Setting a 6th will make the 1st fire die down, and they’ll cycle through as such. The idea is to apply map pressure by limiting access to certain areas. Survivors nearing a fire will cough and become slightly Hindered by the smoke. Before a killer creates a lobby, they toggle the SWF switch to “yes” or “no”. Yes: SWF groups are allowed in the lobby. There may be some, or all, solo players, but SWF is more likely. For each unlocked perk slot that goes unused in a match, earn 15% bonus bloodpoints to all categories. That way a vanilla (blank) loadout earns you an extra 60% bloodpoints after the match. Maybe you want to use one perk, such as Distressing, to maximize your earnings. You get 45% bonus bloodpoints in all categories except Deviousness, which earns 145%. This is just a quick story of something that happened last night. So I'm using The Spirit to do my daily ritual (hit a survivor right after phasing 4 times). Events so far have rewarded players with special currency to purchase character cosmetics. Imagine if future events provide a special currency that can be used for physical items from the new merch store! This would be a single, persistent currency that is earnable in all events, along with whatever event currency is developed for cosmetics. There would be a limit that can be earned per event. Whenever a perk has been used for 2 matches in a row, it suffers from ”Perk Rot” and becomes unusable for a round. This will force players to experiment with a wider variety of perks, and maybe not use all the highest quality ones at the same time. Perhaps this could apply to items and add-ons as well. Because this will require more frequent loadout changes, I would also recommend the ability3 comments 42 views last activity

I’ve complained about this a few times already. I’ve adjusted every tv setting I have. I just can’t see anything like I used to a couple months ago. Just curiosity, if you puke on a locker to make it “contagious” while a survivor is inside, do they automatically become infected? I’ve been trying to find out by playing but every time I get a chance the survivor starts crawling back out. Subprime experimental conditions. Disconnecting is an issue which has been exhaustively discussed in countless threads. In this one, I’m only asking for one small adjustment which has no doubt been suggested before. Under the condition that the disconnecting survivor is actively being carried by the killer, please make it count as a “hooking event” in regards to hexes. It’s okay if bloodpoints aren’t awarded, the main concern i0 comments 13 views last activity

With The Plague, you can puke on gens, chests, pallets, etc. to make them contagious. Let’s add hooks to the list! Sometimes you take down a survivor in a regular hunt, no nausea involved. Carry them to a nearby hook, drop them, puke the hook, pick them back up, and hang them. Now when they down, they hafta go to a cleansing pool. A benefit to the killer, yes, but at the cost of time and pote5 comments 82 views last activity

Id you use this perk, all survivors get the notification on the side of their screen that there is a hex in effect, even if there’s not one. It may encourage them to run around looking fir it instead of working on gens. As for the tiers, perhaps there is some secondary ability affecting terror radius or something. Or maybe a benefit that is related to how many dull totems are still in play.6 comments 92 views last activity

I’m sure this has been discussed many times, but if each killer has a different ability, it would be nice for survivors to have some differentiation as well. Once all the perks are unlocked, the reasons for using one survivor over another are purely cosmetic. I know that adding active abilities to survivors could severely affect the balance of the game.
