  • I guess a better way to word this is, does deathbound go on cooldown after activating for 60 seconds, like Make Your Choice does?

  • Just as the title says. Isn't it incredibly situational to depend on the killer slugging you in a situation where others couldn't get you, especially if it procs once? If your team managed to get itself four man slugged, is one free pickup really going to change anything on how the killer plays?

  • Right as I got my Spirit set all together (Iron Will, Spine Chill, Dance with Me, Q&Q) I realized that I haven't gone against a Spirit in a long time. Is this regional or is there something going on? Also, should I replace a perk with Lithe to work with Dance with me?

  • The window next to the breakable wall in Groaning Storehouse is designed such that if the survivor has the head-start on you, they can prevent chase from being recognized and therefore, bloodlust and window blockers. Am I doing something wrong?

  • Both are snowball killers who inflict harm on survivors to get a quick burst of massive power, but one is one of the most fun killers in the game and the other is pretty meh. What makes them that different?

  • Nobody here can tell me with any degree of sincerity that this is a bad idea. Her terror radius music becomes the much less generic "Sissy that walk" and her power is replaced with throwing shade.

  • Somebody brought this up a while ago and it got me thinking. What the hell is DBD's genre? Does it even have a genre? Surely, there has to be some games that are similar to it, even the most niche games fit into some categorization.

  • Unsanitary working conditions. Seriously, the employees' uniforms are soaked in blood, the hooks need to be thrown into a vat of acid, and they don't even wipe down the hooks between bookings. Hope you enjoy TB because this hook that's hooked 20 million people before you is going straight into your lungs. Not to mention the wild animals running around. anyways thanks for listening to my offic

  • Somebody here brought up that there aren't that many classic horror things to license left. So how would it work out if they just released new chapters, using other aspects of the series they already licensed? There are plenty of other survivors from Silent Hill and Nightmare on Elm Street, plenty of both sides from SAW, I've never watched Stranger Things but it seems like there are a lot of char

  • It seems weird to me that "anti-tunnel" perks like DS and "anti-camping" perks like BT don't actually prevent what people purport they prevent. Rather, they punish killers for doing those actions, but it won't actually stop tunneling and camping. Stabbing your pursuer won't make them not tunnel you and getting an extra health state after you get unhooked won't help you get unhooked. These are a

  • Pig hats activate whenever a generator is completed, and since closing the hatch technically finishes all of the gens, would the pig hat activate? I'm too lazy to check with KYF so I'm just checking if anybody else happens to know first.

  • Think about it: if you’re applying a styptic agent onto your wounds, you’re trying to stop the bleeding as a curative measure. Getting stabbed while your other wound is still getting patched up would still cause you to get downed. Meanwhile, a full-body, systemic, anti-hemorrhagic syringe would mean any wounds inflicted on you while it’s coursing through your veins would be temporarily clotted

  • I get from a game standpoint, rancor is pretty underwhelming, but isn't it kind of good, in a wider sense, that it makes you not want to be the obsession? Perks like object and DS and others that increase your chances of becoming the obsession (or straight-up make you the obsession) have that second clause in as some sort of balance against how powerful these perks were, because of some benefit

  • Title says it all. But it still consumes your tokens as BNP skillchecks give you great skillcheck score events, but it seems the progression bonus is fixed at 5%, so it steals your fast track tokens and doesn't apply the bonus, it seems. Should this be fixed or would that make generator speeds too fast?

  • If I have MoM activated, BT applied to me, and use a styptic right before I take a hit, will I be able to take 3 extra hits or will they all be consumed at once?

  • Both of them are avenues to a win (if your definition of a win is an escape or many kills) which are explicitly gained by playing badly. Hatch is an escape for something that shouldn't have been an escape (unless it's in the endgame when everybody else is out), aggravated by keys, and a "counter" is often said to be hooking each survivor 1 by 1, as a very weak incentive against tunneling. NOED ca

  • Whenever I have someone with Victor on them, it seems like they're moving slower. It might just be because they're wriggling around and hobbling, but the Wiki doesn't mention any hindered effect. Does being latched onto by or removing Victor cause any actual change to speed?

  • If I have WGLF, Botany, and Desperate Measures with a green medkit and a leader buff, is the resultant healing speed 100%+33%+14%+50%+25%, or is it one applied and another applied to the new whole and another applied to the even newer whole? If it's the latter, how is the order of which applies first determined? And while we're on the topic, do perks like sloppy butcher and coulrophobia decrea

  • If you see a dull totem, and suspect that the killer has NOED, the typical response is definitely to cleanse it. But in some cases, especially towards the late game or the very early game, wouldn't it be better to leave it up? You don't know where the other totems are, and if you cleanse the totem you already know, you have no chance of knowing where the NOED totem is. If you leave it up, you hav

  • Is there an exact number for how much the Doctor’s “calm” add-ons modify his terror radius? Is it a flat number or percentage based? Apparently, it also reduces the size of the terror radius when static shock is on cooldown, so is this reduction in size the same as the increase in size when static shock is up?

  • Some killers, like Spirit and Deathslinger, have very clear motivations and emotional “niches.” Spirit is the embodiment at rage of being wronged, Deathslinger is the embodiment of vengeance-seeking vigilante justice. Nurse is the embodiment of absolutely losing it when you have too much work to do, and plague is the embodiment of excessive devotion (Aka self-righteousness, blind idolatry). Oni i

  • A lot of licensed survivors end up looking somewhat reminiscent of their actor, but somewhat uncanny and different. Laurie and David have been locked in a staring contest for 5 years and Quentin needs a dermatologist. Even Nancy definitely looks different from her Stranger Things actor. The only guys who look like their inspirations are Cheryl and Bill, both of whom are licensed from video game

  • Everybody's so eager to pretty much hate crime on third seal, but is it really that bad of a perk? Constant blindness, especially if you're keeping up the pressure, can be pretty disorienting, and who really expects a hex totem to last for more than a minute in the first place?

  • So aside from the mess that is the recent DS nerf, I’ve noticed another probably trivial thing about DS. The perk description of DS reads: “Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.” It makes pretty clear that the second chance is in an “ultimate attempt to escape,” meaning it’s probably the last thing between you and being impaled by the spider da

  • The number one thing I hear in looping advice is to loop tightly, so pretty much rubbing up to the wall you're looping. Whenever I try this, I always end up running into the wall, which ends up slowing me down. Are you supposed to be actually touching the wall, or barely grazing it?

  • I'm pretty bad at survivor, I only play as them occasionally. Usually what happens is that one or two people are on death hook by three gens, nobody's making generator progress, and most of us are injured. At that point, is it worth healing, or should we just push generators?

  • Yes, Trickster bad and BHVR bad and everybody who says no bad and I am meeting my quota of personally insulting BHVR for any reason I can think of, but Trickster's aesthetics are actually pretty good. His audio design is just fantastic, the little laughs and giggles that occur spontaneously, and the tinnitus noise after you cancel your main event. The visual design is really unsettling too; it

  • I read somewhere that Trickster's knives are offset by about 10 centimeters, and are thrown at an angle such that they diverge a few hundred meters away, meaning that they rarely will hit at the center of your screen, instead at two points 5 cm to the left and right of the center of your screen, which causes a lot of shots to miss (aside from the recoil). Despite the fact he's meant to more or le

  • Rarely do I find that Off the Record actually works; when you already have DS, you hopefully aren't getting chased much anyways. But now that DS is getting dunked into dog water, should Off the Record be buffed? What would that buff constitute, to make it more than a Walmart version of Iron Will and Lucky Break?

  • Current steak out is ... lacking in application. I propose that, instead of having it based off of the terror radius (meaning idling around), we have it accrue tokens based off of chases, and increase the token cap. Not only is it easier to be in chases for 15 seconds (if you're good) than it is to sit around in the terror radius for 15 seconds, it would probably discourage tunneling to an exte

  • When killers move back and forth, I noticed that there's a little period of time in which they decelerate movement in one direction and then start moving in the new direction. I thought that acceleration was instant; is this not the case, or is this just specific to the killer side?

  • A lot of people have been complaining about the state of perk diversity. Other than really good players and really bad players, people don't branch out and use what they want, precisely because why would you run diversion when you could run DS? So, is the solution to nerf perks to a similar level or to buff them to a similar level? On one hand, having weaker and less impactful perks would let pe

  • Botany knowledge increases healing speed by 33%, so does that mean that charges are consumed 33% faster (EG, 2 heal medkit remains a 2 heal medkit) or do charges go at the same rate, just more heal per charge (EG, 2 heal medkit -> 2.6 heal medkit)? And if it doesn't, should it?

  • So how exactly does hit validation work? Does it wait for the killer's client to say that they got a hit, and then check to measure the distance between the killer and the survivor when they receive that message? Isn't that going to be a little weak, since a killer can just swing and then get close to the survivor? Or, does the server keep a timer, and check to see what positions registered at

  • I know that matches sometimes end because of connection issues, whether or not this is because of DCs or someone's router catching on fire, but is there a system in place that times out clients who are pretty much teleporting, in the eyes of the server?

  • I said it, fight me. For starters, ruin gets cleansed in 9 seconds. Surge has that nice 8% immediate loss too; all that needs to happen is perhaps getting rid of the basic attack requirement and the cooldown and we're set.

  • To my understanding, dedicated servers works like this: Client X is playing from the moon. Their game appears laggy and their input to the server is different than what they see. Client Y is playing right next to the server. Their ping is smaller than my brain. Their input to the server is almost perfectly synchronized. The server says client X is in position A, but he sees himself in position

  • Well, at least people can't complain that the devs dont listen. For my two cents, I think this change was unnecessary. As many have said, DS was not intended, ever, to be an anti-tunnel perk. It is a watered down second chance perk that just happens to coincide with tunneling for one of its triggers. Even still, this will be a poorly-designed anti-tun

  • What was the idea behind keys? Didn't a possible instant four-man escape at a location the killer didn't even know seem a little overpowered? Of course, you need to complete gens, but if you hold on generators or wait for one survivor to die, you can get everybody out through the hatch, with decent coordination.
