  • Like, seriously. Out of all the flaws that DBD has this circus music on the main menu is my least favorite aspect. Do we have any sort of ETA on when they’ll change it back?

  • Today I played a game as Hag on Haddonfield. I was able to get a 3-man but the last Surv escaped through a hatch. When I looked in the post-game I saw that I had an Iridescent Devout? I’m confused. Is this a glitch? If one Survivor escaped I should have gotten Gold, right?

  • These are some things I dreamt up to change some Perks, hopefully for the better. Let me know what you think. KILLER PERKS Thanatophobia: For every injured, dying, hooked, dead, or disconnected Survivor, all Survivors receive the following penalties: -3/4/5 percent reduced action speed to all actions. -3/4/5 percent smaller success zones on ALL Skill Checks (DS and Snap Out Of It include

  • I read up that the Nurse can be Lightburned while holding a Blink to be forced into an early fatigue. How often does this happen, and how frustrating is it actually? I’m still learning Nurse, but it’s never happened to me and I’ve never been able to burn one as Surv. I’d like to know how big a deal it actually is. (Also, I found out that Blinking is very painful for the Nurse. That’s why she s

  • Just a short little hodgepodge of all the experimental Perks I’ve made out of boredom/for fanmade characters/etc. SURVIVOR PERKS Quick Getaway: You’ll waste less energy running to immediate safety. While in the Killer’s Terror Radius and not in a chase, your movement speed is increased by 3/4/5%. Does NOT stack with Hope. Sweet Freedom: You aren’t out of the woods yet! Upon being free

  • This community will never stop being toxic. Might as well make the most of it. Here’s a thread dedicated to roasts and banter. Roast me, roast each other—roast yourself for all I care. I’ll start by roasting everybody, Any slight semblance of difficulty: Exists Survivors: https://youtube.com/watch?v=KSb_q1zbWYY Anyone who enjoys playing Survivor: Exists Killers:

  • Killers and Survs have more in common than they like to think. Name some parallels or analogies that connects these two sides on some sort of level. Here are some I’ve noticed. Borrowed Time and NOED: Sound extremely OP on paper, but the truth is the people using these Perks are probably more boned than the people the Perks affect. The Hillbilly is the Survivor of Killers: Even if you get to

  • I while ago, I proposed in a discussion that the best way to fix Sprint Burst was to overhaul the chases. I’ve given it some thought, and I still stand by that statement. However, a more easy and direct fix to Sprint Burst is not an impossibility. And I propose one that I feel will fix SB well without leaving it OPAF. Here’s my proposed rework: •Upon initiating a chase with the Killer, r

  • As we all know, Survivors increase their Benevolent score by being good members of the team. You gain points for most actions that help other Survivors, and you lose points when you hook farm/let your team mate get hooked. That’s all well and good, but there’s one thing that seems off. I was browsing the wiki to check up on what actions grant what points for what Emblems, and I saw this.

  • I think if you’ve got Addons for the Doctor that make Survivors hear a fake heartbeat (Calm series+Iridescent King), then they either shouldn’t be notified or receive a fake alert when they’re affected by a Perk that causes penalties when within the Doctor’s TR. it completely nullifies the fake heartbeat. “Oh, I hear the hearttbeat, but I’m not suffering from Coulrophobia, so I’m all good.” Se

  • I respect you in full. I really do. But outside of the game and within the community, it’s really hard to respect Killers when left, right and center there are posts of them being so needlessly insulting towards anyone who doesn’t play Killer primarily. If you think a lot of Survivors are whiny salt mines, that’s fine. Even P3 Squadettes have mountains of evidence archived somewhere in favor o

  • ... Is that it doesn’t make Sprint Burst any less meta. It’s still a get out of jail free card. It’s still a panic button. It’s still going to launch Survivors half a mile away when used. It’s still going to be constantly available to destroy any chases. Just because it’ll be harder to use multiple times in a chase now doesn’t mean anything. Most Survivors won’t even NEED to use it more than o

  • And I saw Plunderer’s Instinct. It’s one of those Perks that have a quote. That quote is “The pioneers used to loot these babies for hours.” And I goddamn bloody realized. That’s a Spongebob reference. HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS BEFORE I FUCKINGOWMFJAOEMFJDKW,W

  • Because every community needs one. I’ll start with my hot takes. •I only main Jake because he’s handsome and use none of his signature Perks. •The Exhaustion nerf should only apply to Sprint Burst and Adrenaline; maybe Lithe if I’m being generous. Dead Hard and Balanced Landing do not need this negativity in their lives. •If they nerfed pallets/windows/looping in exchange for making oth

  • For those of you who don't know, the Teacher was a Killer that was speculated to be added into the game back when the Trapper, Billy, and the Wraith were the only playable Killers. There were even files and such detailing certain attributes of theirs: their special power (Detention), an item related to them (Trapple), and a signature Perk (Underperform). However, these never came to light. Some b

  • What you call it when you play as the Shape on Coldwind Farm? Corn-stalks. What's Michael Myers's favorite video game? The Evil Within. Did you hear that the Trapper was gay? He's into traps. What do Pokemon fans call the Blood Lodge? Pallet Town. The Hag's so filthy, she has an ecosystem on her back since it's constantly wet. Guess you could call it a back-water swamp.

  • There's no way around it. It's one good factor, the ability to recover from dying, is nullified by the Killer knowing from the start of the match that you have the Perk—why would they slug you when they know you can get back up? The Perk is only "good" when run with Perks that apply benefits to being injured, like Resilience and This Is Not Happening. But even then, it's just not worth the Killer

  • RANT START I used to believe they were. But then three of them ganged up on this one salty boi in the post-game chat and I felt SO TOUCHED. It would've brought tears to me eyes, but I was playing Nurse and the pillowcase kept tears from coming out. That was when I realized: The best moments for a me as a Killer aren't the dope hatch escape catches. They're not tunneling and face camping

  • Just a thread to harbor discussion. What's your favorite and least favorite maps when playing Survivor and when playing Killer, and if you care to elaborate, why are they so? Personally, I have no favorite or least favorite map as a Survivor, but as Killer, my favorite map is Wretched Shop on Autohaven Wreckers. It's not teeming with safe pallets like, say, Blood Lodge is, but it's got a fair

  • For those of you who don't know what Soul at Stake is, it's a blatant Dead By Daylight ripoff. It steals several mechanics, adds some others, and overall just plays terrible, especially since the "Killer" of the game is actually SLOWER than the "Survivors" and the Survs have a permanent Dead Hard with no cooldown. However, one thing that SAS does better than Dead By Daylight is countering gen

  • Bear Traps start counting down if they are applied AT ANY TIME AFTER a Generator has been repaired. Making them count down only after a gen’s been repaired post-application is just stupid. Bear Traps automatically kill Survivors who attempt to escape through the black lock. I get they help stop gen rushing by giving Survs a different objective, but considering they don’t feel nearly as urge

  • I've been trying to design one of those "150% movement speed" Perks for a while. One that isn't an unfunny meme like SB and Lithe, but one that's more consistent than, say, Balanced Landing, whose potential is obviously a lot greater on a Crotus Prenn map than on a Coldwind Farm map. I think I got an idea. Sweet Freedom: After being freed or escaping from a bear trap or meathook, break int

  • So, I've realized that the main reason I run No Mither is not because of injury-based Perks or for the recovery, but for heightened awareness. Being unable to go past injured is always a lot riskier than being able to get healthy, and the stakes are a fair bit higher. This helps me to get my blood flowing and increase my game sense. Is this a good strat? I still run Perks like Dead Hard and Re

  • It’s implied that as powerful and otherworldly as it is, the Entity is a mortal creature. When Survivors are sacrificed, the Entity steals a piece of their soul to increase its power, but the false hope of Survivors that they’ll escape the realm is what the Entity actually feeds on—as in, what it needs to sustain itself. Perhaps if the Entity is a mortal creature, it can be mortally wounded as we

  • Camping, DC’ing, gen rushing, hook gymnastics, et cetera. Make up your own Dead By Daylight lingo and explain what they mean. I’ll start. Dwight knight: A Survivor who assists the team not through gen repairs or distracting the Killer, but through being constantly altruistic and helping his team mates (taking hits, healing, hooking, etc.). Dwight knights typically run Perks that give boosts

  • I’ve been seeing a lot of confusion about hook gymnastics and what certain gestures mean. Well, because everyone does different hook gymnastics as a result of the confusion, it’s hard to find an objectively correct set of which signals mean what. However, I did some research, and I found the best answer. In IDEAL, PROPERLY PERFORMED hook gymnastics, there are two signals: The Survivor is fla

  • So, a couple weeks ago I realized, "Hey, as I get better at this game my rank's gonna rise." Which is cool, right? But I keep hearing all this stuff about how Nurse, Billy and Huntress are the only effective Killers at upper ranks and I'm gonna have to main them if I don't wanna get slammed the second I start rising. So I figure, "Alright, #########, bring it on." And I start playing the Nurse

  • Anyone whose played Killer once knows that DS is an infuriating meme Perk. A lot of people agree that the best way to nerf DS is to remove it from the game, but I propose a rework idea: Make Decisive Strike function similar to the Brand New Part Addon: Once per match, when picked up by the Killer, succeed a series of Skill Checks that appear every two seconds to escape from the Killer's grasp.

  • Recently it's come to my attention that the Nurse and the Hillbilly have abilities designed for spanning large areas of the map in a few seconds. However, there are extreme differences in the stats and effects between the two. Nurse's Blink: -Base speed: 13.33 meters per second -Travels up to a certain distance, the max of which without addons is roughly equivalent to her Terror Radius -Can

  • Survivor mains and Killer mains are always hating each other. Nerf this and git gud, Survs say. Nerf this and git gud, the Killers spit back. Personally, I've felt the problems of both sides in full force: As Killer, I've often felt that the game is always massively tipped in the favor of the Survivors. Flashlight spam, easier access to meme strats, the quick speed of Gen repair, and most o
