That's what it sounded like to me, yes. People who complain about stealth players (not talking about the ones who sit in a corner and never do anything, I mean real stealth players who help with the objectives without being spotted by the killer) usually have trouble finding survivors in the first place, which is why they prefer the ones who run out into the open.

I complain because the survivor offers very poor gameplay agaisnt the killer. Like i said to other guy, if you wanna play competitive hide and seek go out with your friends.

I hate when i end the match with 3 bbq tokens and the other braindead survivor escapes through hatch absurd mechanic.

But hey, guess its my fault when the other guy had distortion, urban evasion, fixated and spine chill.

Don't blame me because you're bad at finding survivors. I'm just playing to my strengths (and your weaknesses, apparently).

So now im bad, lool ( i dont know you, but just in case... you re bad) pretty much a common response in the internet those days xD

Thats why we hide, so you dont find us.

Also, to be fair, a lot of killers camp anyway. You do it for a person playing stealthy, the next one for the survivor being a david, the third one for bringing a key/toolbox, and the next one because he got looped.

In they end, if they camp for any of those "priciples", then they camp anyway if they are losing.

Also, playing stealthy doesnt mean we have no contact. We can be in a chase, but that doesnt have to end with a hook, because as we turn a corner, i am just gone, and sneak away while you are looking for my hiding place.

Would be weird to lose you mid chase (unless you have the new lucky break + iron will), but as long as you give me chase i have no problem.

I also understand hiding when you re death hook, but man, i cant emphatize with the survivors that sit on gens, hide and escape with 13k points...

I understand fun like humor, is very subjective, but this is just braindead gameplay.

"If you play stealthy you're a coward and a child. It bothers me that you don't make yourself available for me to kill. I'm the one who deserves to win this game because there's nothing cheap about playing as a killer, such as camping for example. If you play stealthy you have no friends and are a loser. If you dare to play in a way that makes you less vulnerable and is more entertaining to you I will pay you back, hard, for this grievous personal insult. You should be out playing hide and seek, I want to play tag. This isn't fair."

These are some really cogent arguments, you've given me a lot to think about.

Keep thinking, and go back to me when you play some killer. And now dont say you re a killer main, because i will not believe you.

Unless you have a casual mentality, theres nothing more to say.

  • Playing stealthy only shows how bad and scared you are from the killer. Do you feel is fair escaping without having any contact with the killer?

If you want to play hide and seek go out with your imaginary friends.

I also camp that type of person if i find him.

  • Yeah good luck here xD. I made a similar post to this and people was like: uhh... just hit the bodyblocker?

I wish i had this casual mentality, like srsly...

A double pallet outside AND the pallet in the building?

I heard that the reason for bringing the pallet back in the building was to prevent the double pallet outside... crazy.

My guy using unrelenting, spies and sloppy with bubba and also speed limiter, i cant take you seriously lol

7/10 of them face camp. I just disconnect. If they're not going to let me play, and they're not playing themselves, it's not even a game at that point. Plus it denies them more points and I just go take a bathroom break or refill my drink.

If you DC, you will give the killer more time to facecamp another guy, and get more points.

  • This game has been always survivor sided. I love the people that keeps saying the game is fair to both sides, but they never want to play killer... Hmmm..

Always remember when you have no arguments, say that you dont like being killer. No one can mess with you because, you know, its just your opinion. Win-win strategy.

you might as well just use oni then, i honestly do not like slugging and find it unfun, on both sides, i personally want survivors to actually have a gg and not just say it, i hook one person at a time, well unless their asking for it cough toxic cough cough grouped together... otherwise im not looking for slugs

I also find unfun when i want to play nice and fair, to get laughed in my face by noob survivors, only because their main objective can be done by blind people as well. I dont like the idea of being nice doing a single hook everytime, and then say it was a really good match. Its all relative.

  • Myers is better in every way. He will be trash if you use tier 3 to chase and hook one person every time.

However if you use infectious and start slugging people, you can make a lot of pressure at the start.

I usually do 4ks with just one tier 3 in the entire match (for those who thinks ranks matter, i always play in red ranks).

  • @Bwsted said:

I'm a former Billy main. Bubba is currently one of the strongest killers in the game. Very underrated because many players still keep picking him to simply troll and camp.

Just like any other killer with default mobility, he needs to be played territorially. That's where he shines by creating dead zones faster than arguably anyone else. At that point he snowballs with ease.

He deals with pallets much more easily and faster than Billy, who has to manage when to bait by feathering, respecting, not respecting and curving. And if he fails any of that he gets punished.

Bubba literally needs to just pull up his chainsaw and dash, not even mind gaming if he doesn't want to. He either gets the down or the pallet. The counter is to stun him mid dash, but dedicated servers can't handle that at all even before this patch. Even when timed correctly, 9 out of 10 times the survivor gets the stun score event, but Bubba doesn't get stunned and chainsaws the pallet, sometimes with an awkward animation while servers make up their minds. Then he's right on top of the survivor. And that's if they don't get hit through the pallet in the first place.

Also, I don't understand what 'using windows against him even with Bamboozle' even means. Unless it's a Bubba who just predictably beelines to the window and the survivor runs early (with all the associated risk), there's no using a window. That's literally the point of the perk. Window's blocked, throw pallet or get chainsawed. It's not rocket science. It's his best perk without a doubt.

And did I mention they actually buffed his camping and he's able to down survivors through BT now?

Holding W works only with a significant lead already. However, if you pick up Bubba and start running from a corner to the opposite one of the map you're gonna get stomped. The issue is not mobility, but bad map management.

    Agreed on everything :)

I was a billy main, but he got nerfed hard. Now my obsession went to bubba :'D

Well that's not even a Bubba thing anymore. sometimes slugging is just the right play on every killer in many situations. Picking up a survivor and putting them on a hook is often a mistake and a sign of a bad player. There are times when it is demonstrably wrong to do so and it shows 1) the wrong intentions and 2) a lack of understanding.

Keep ramping up the pressure and see you in the fog!

My bad :S the thing i meant was that slugging being an instadown killer is way more powerful. I feel like a trapper slugging people isnt a big problem, but an oni with his power? No thanks, my mom comes for me XD. Good day!

  • @TTV_WAWAbyWibWib said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/243857/bubba-question

In a perfect world, all the killers would be the same tier because they can all win by force if both sides played perfectly.

Right now, I think Bubba does deserve to be mid tier because it's more realistic as a great killer, to beat the tippy top best survivors with nurse, spirit, hag, blight and such.

Bubba is oppressive in chase, you have to throw pallets and he eats them like candy, but just running after survivers downing them quickly and then going from there isn't really enough by itself. He doesn't have the same mobility as most of the "better" killers do nor the same lethality that they do either. You have to be really smart, and really Creative to play him to the degree you need to vs amazing survivors and it definitely feels more difficult than it does to just be a God nurse, God spirit or such.

All that aside, He's S tier to me <3

Yeah i think i find him strong because i also slug with infectious when someone is next to me. Im not that type of guy that downs one, sees another guy next to him, and then ignores him and hooks the other dude. And then saying the game is trash, ofc XDDD.

Im more realistic, if i want to win, i will do whatever is in my hand in order to do so, and if that means i have to slug, i will. I have seen people chasing a survivor, then watching how 2 injured survivors work on the last gen, and then saying the game is trash and unbalanced. Like wow xD.

Thanks for your comment, hes SSS for me <3

If you don't ever seem them consider yourself lucky. Same with nurse, just because god tier nurses are extremely rare doesn't mean they don't exist.

People in red ranks don't even know how to loop Legion properly and you expect them to understand how to loop bubba ? It all comes to matchmaking in the end letting potatoes who can't loop killers into red ranks.

I dont want to be that guy, but, can you provide any clips or something about someone holding w in a chase agaisnt bubba?

Im still very confusing about a survivor not wanting to take that loop that is next to him, but proceeds to hold a button and then counters my power. I cant imagine the scenario here lol.

  • @NoOneKnowsNova said:

No map pressure and a power that is completely countered by holding w or by a loop that has more than one window.

Agreed on that he has absolutely no map pressure, but his power cant be countered by holding W (unless like i said, you face a bubba that only knows how to do 1 charge, a noob one), and about the loop that has more than one window, reminds me of LT walls.

The trick is to block the T, and instead of following his path, you turn the opposite way so you will be facing to him. Works for me everytime, no one expects the killer to go to a random way :P

  • @Kebek said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2121350#Comment_2121350

Same goes for survivors. You basically never see good survivor that knows how to run bubba properly even with bamboozle.

I basically never see them because they doesnt exist. Its like telling me that a nurse can be looped in a jungle gym by a good survivor. If nurse has im all ears, theres nothing you can do. Now translate nurse to bubba, and im all ears to bamboozle. The only real counter i can see here is to get in a locker and pray to get the exact timing.

  • @Kebek said:

He is a good killer with amazing snowball and best hook defence but his chase even when decent is dependant on survior's mistakes.

Survivor who knows how to run bubba will use windows properly vs him (even with bamboozle), tight loop pallets knowing distances on bubba's saw and most importantly, chain loops together and have perfect timing on pallet stuns. That all messes with bubba's chase a lot but people just aren't good at it.

He's by no means bad, actually he's quite up there with other strong killer. But when it comes to good loopers he doesn't have all that much to work with besides saw mindgames.

I forgot to mention, my build is BBQ, corrupt, bamboozle and infectious, and i can tell even a good looper cant do sh*t agaisn't bamboozle in a loop, the max you can do is to do an extra loop and throw the pallet, but even tho bubba will instabreak it, and you will be doing almost no extra distance.

I personally think people say hes bad because they always play with generic bubbas that camp or only knows how to use 1 charge.

It means not great. Decent, but not good.

Anything Leatherface can do, a skilled Hillbilly player can do much better on top of having insane map control and generator pressure.

Leatherface's only defining trait is the ability to down multiple Survivors at once, which unfortunately leads to ridiculous amounts of hook camping.

About the last thing you said, if what defines leatherface is downing multiple people at once, what defines billy is only map control. Billy is too nerfed to be compared to bubba's current power.

Imagine a billy revving the saw at legion's frenzy movement speed, but you also instadown in touch.

  • @Superyoshiegg said:

He's mid tier because he has no map control, and his ability to end chases is lacklustre.

What do you mean by lacklustre? Im not english sorry :s

  • Camping is an exploit. Source: Myself :'D

Do you also think being behind a box in CoD is also exploiting?

  • So you agree to bodyblock your rescuer without any consequences for 12 seconds?

The playerbase forced the devs into it. Before the DC penalty, ragequits were constant. It was common for the first person downed to disconnect before the killer could hook them. I had people disconnect because their attempt to locker-juke me failed. They disconnected to give friends the hatch. They disconnected before the killer could mori them. They disconnected because they messed up at a pallet.

A common complaint was that disconnects were making the game damn near unplayable. Disconnects were one of the biggest problems plaguing DbD.

If the playerbase had not disconnected to such a huge, huge degree, the devs wouldn't have needed to implement the penalty.

Players right now complain about survivors suiciding on the hook, but that is much less common than disconnecting used to be.

I get it, but i mean... The people that complained about the dcs, have they ever played a battle royale? Or rankeds in overwatch? Or any multiplayer game? DCing is common, and you just have to move on.

In my personal case, when im killer and someone DCs, i farm with the rest, so everyone can be happy.

Also today i ate a ban because the game kicked me from the match :(

  • I wonder the same. I love how this game is supposed to be "casual", but instead it has dc penalties like any competitive game would have.

I agree. At the end of the day the winning means are relative and subjetive, some people think running the killer for 5 gens and then dying its a win (which is common sense) and other people think they won hiding in a locker with a key all match and then escaping through hatch (any casual main survivor will agree to this).

Which is part of the game mechanic & rules right now whether you like it or not.

Ask a survivor if they like the game mechanic of being sacrificed in a trial

Ask a killer if they like the game mechanic of being outplayed by an item, even tho you destroyed his teammates at 4 gens.

I also would be embarrased if i complain about being sacrificed after 3 hooks, in friday 13th you only have 1 life and its way more balanced than this #########.

  • @Clünge said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2087027#Comment_2087027

    The survivor didn't "win"

They would have escaped via a game acceptable means without body blocking. Also with minimal points & a probable de-rank.

Then when they get slugged / camped next match they're expected to accept that too. Easy.

Im not talking about the hatch alone which is already an unfair and absurd mechanic, im talking about the key she had, if the nurse closed the hatch she would use the key to have a guaranteed escape.

  • @Clünge said:

Or just don't body block & accept that she escaped

I see far too much hatred for survivor attempts at body blocking but when killers do it y'all think it's a part of the constitution

Yeah, just accept that survivor won even though they only did one gen, nothing weird here.

Rank 1 player who's used Blood Pact consistently since it was release back in June. Blood Pact is an awesome Aura Reading Perk. The haste speed is really just an afterthought.

It's great for getting healed and sharing information with the Obsession. You basically give one teammate an extra perk slot since everything is two ways. It's probably the most consistently useful Obsession perk too if you don't want to load into a game where there's no Obsession. Blood Pact isn't broken or OP, but it is one of those perks where you notice it a lot and use it every match.

Was looking more for the haste bonus than aura reading tbh, but someone already explained it to me. Im also currently using for the people, so im mostly likely the obsession every game. It might be good paired with blood pact, but i dont even have cheryl, just wanted to see peoples thoughts. Thanks for your comment, have a nice day :P

  • @darkcloudlink said:

I find it fairly useless. The thing with Blood Pact is that if you want to get use out of the speed, you have to puppy dog your friend and make sure you're always within the 16m range. If the killer finds one of you, you have to make sure you stay close, meaning the killer is chasing two people at once, which is a plus for them - that's two survivors not on a generator. The other effect, being the aura reading whenever the obsession is injured is....eh? I mean, you could run empathy for the same effect (though it's one sided, yeah) or aftercare (but that only works if you they unhook/heal you, or you unhook/heal them). But neither of those perks deactivates if you're the obsession, and also doesn't rely on the obsession to be useful.

Didnt thought of the killer actually chasing 2 people at once, thanks for your comment, i really apreciate it. Good day =)

So is it my fault when survivors tend to run in circles only because im deathslinger? Also rip spirit users, they re miserable.

Didnt understood very well, so basically mindgaming is cheating?

Literally in the first game I play today I get face camped and after that I played 4 more games in 2 of them someone got fact camped and in a 3rd someone got hard tunneled the entire game. So out of 5 games only one was even remotely enjoyable because that killer actually patrolled gens and put pressure on all of us so we had to actually play smart. That game ended with 3 of us dying and one escaping. The other games were 3 of us escaping and 1 person dying with most of us never even seeing the killer or getting into a chase screwing our emblems because the killer wanted to hard tunnel and face camp one person. Something needs to be done about this.

Are we going to keep ignoring that killer is unplayable besides using nurse/spirit?

  • Killer perk:

    Your worst nightmare.

Gain a token for each survivor killed.

When you have a token, kick a repaired generator to reverse it back 15/20/25% of its charge.

-You think you outplayed me? I invite you to do it again.

*edit: I actually thought of a survivor perk.

    Survivor perk: Juggernaut.

You can take an extra hit when injured, but reduces your life by 1 hook. (You can take only 2 extra hits in the trial, the point is having to take 3 hits per "hook", killers with instadown will ignore this perk.)

-Kill me. Kill me right here, right now, I'm not afraid to die!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Yep. The casuals in this game are the swf groups which naturally make more money because their friends spend too and there's 4 of them.

And every game should be balanced around top level gameplay. Dead by Daylight isn't some special exception. When the devs keep balancing around bad players, and removing things that encourage them to get good, like hitting great skillchecks from old Ruin, then the level of play will keep decreasing and decreasing which isn't healthy for the game.

You couldn't have said it better and clearer. Liked that lol XD

  • @twistedmonkey said:

Not really since casual players by definition don't tend to put in the same time or effort as experienced players.

In business take the Pareto principle of 20% of your customers will create 80% of your revenue. This theory would point more towards the experienced players since they have a lot more invested in the game with all the dlc so have more characters to buy the likes of skins for.

I dont think of the time/effort , but the money wasted... Im talking about someone who for example buys ghostface and then his original suit.

Devs take a look at the money they gained from this user than wasted like.. 15€? instead of how much is this guy playing.

This encourages devs to do what they want because they see they are winning, while the community is dying.

  • @stikyard said:

The casual base is not the driving purchasing power I would assume. You do need the game to be fun and enjoyable out of the box for casual and new players and, I think DBD struggles in that area. I think the changes are meant to make the game more enjoyable for newer players but, in the process they broke some key functionality of survivor and, it needs to be fixed, a.s.a.p.

I do think the casual people is the "power role" of this game, since the veteran players are lefting slowly.

Bad thing is that you cant see who bought the game 4 days ago, because now they re rank 1 because the system is broken.
