Casuals opinion can be important tbf especially in a game that can’t be balanced around the top players.

No, they don't count or at least they should not count, since the casuals feels comfortable with everything and thats not a fair opinion.

Opinion should be taken from experienced people who wants the game to be FAIR, not buffed to their side, im not even asking for competitive people (i know this game aint competitive, but you know what i mean).

A great example would be the "buff" to dead hard. Yeah yeah, the DH its way better now! (never used that perk because i like lithe, but lets give a random opinion..) And then the devs hear those people and do what they do.

  • People saying now that DS still works in a locker. I mean... Just dont tunnel? Worst part is when you ask those killers if they tunnel and they say no, its a meme.

If the killer were going for me after being unhooked and i dont want him to counter my ds (slug), then i would go to a locker to defend myself, because i cant do anything now while ds is active.

Oh, and im a killer main, seems like it works as an argument as well in this forum telling whats your main, besides the gold words "i play both sides" XD.

It would make more sense to nerf the perks themselves than create more status effects that pin you to the ground. Unbreakable is fine. Soul Guard I think works indefinitely as long as a hex is up (not 100% sure) so just limit that to 1 self rez like Unbreakable.

And Adrenaline needs to have different conditions in place. It's a perk that rewards you more for winning. Require 2 teammates to be dead, or have to have finished 2 gens or something.

I liked your comment, but about the adrenaline argument... Define "winning" in DBD, and also being survivor.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Sure, because those two need ANOTHER reason to exclusively use their chainsaws.

Personal hatreds aside, Hemorrhage isn't terrible and of you combine it with Bloodhound, then that's a pretty good way to track. As for Mangled, I don't like it. Unbreakable is a one-time thing and for Soul Guard, you have to be running an active Hex perk. While it is still active.

As for the add-ons, we already have that for a lot of killers and their powers.

Hemorrhage isn't terrible if you combine it with Bloodhound lol. With this way of thinking the game is what it is now. A joke. I mean... Do you use bloodhound? Its like complaining about iri heads on huntress, but you see them 1 of 50 matches.

And no, this is not another reason to use the chainsaw. Its a consequence of being hit with it. So being hit with a chainsaw and a lego knife (legion) is the same to you?

  • @Tactless_Ninja said:

    Really unnecessary change.

Blood tracking trumps any kind of stealth perk. And longer healing phases is disabling and often leads to people stopping healing altogether.

Besides, you need to be slugged for a full minute for any slug perks to do anything worthwhile. Just hook them.

Didn't understood the last thing you said, but i look forward to apply pressure, not really waiting for anything. Thanks for your comment :P

I've got my doubts about the effectiveness of the Hex: Ruin + Hex: Undying meta emerging. In order to get any value out of Hex: Ruin, you need to constantly be interrupting survivors on generators and making sure they don't get right back on them. This means that the only killer that can even get decent use out of this are high-mobility killers, average-speed killers with really good down potential, or killers that are a mix of the two. And even if you do interrupt a survivor on a generator, you have to chase them down to make sure they don't go right back to the generator when you leave them. And the entire time you are chasing one survivor, three other survivors are on generators. If you try to prevent another generator from getting done, the survivor you were previously chasing will go back onto their generator and finish it. The big point is: no matter how much you interrupt survivors, they will still be able to get generators done fast. So is Hex: Ruin + Hex: Undying really the best perk to run on all killers, or is it just a minor inconvenience at best?

Is using 2/4 slots of perks to fix something the devs dont want to fix (genrush) as good as people say? No.

Bringing a mori is pretty pathetic too. It's like saying I dont want any challenge this match....

    See how that logic works.

I dont want any challenge this match as survivor so i will go with unbreakable, ds, soul guard and adrenaline. I want to have godmode in every match with no limits, since they are perks.

  • Its a joke when you can get godmode in a game that you have to survive. Rip dbd.

  • Imagine using DS + unbreakable + soul guard + borrowed time. Oh wait... This is the "red ranks" experience

As opposed to a full squad in F13 that can bully you? If you don’t know how to play Jason, enjoy being unable to move while you get bum rushed and beaten repeatedly

Thats it, you get bullied if you dont know how to play, which i suppose is your case. I played a bit of F13 and i already knew how to use that travel-teleport thing.

In this game, you can be good and still get punished for it.

  • @Almo said:

Me personally, I'm not interested in playing a Killer in a game where you can be killed as the Killer.

I guess you are interested in getting bullied by 4 survivors then. I dont understand why do i have a chainsaw in this game and survivors keep laughing at me. I quit playing billy, keep taking care of the people you have left, the casuals. Because veterans already left.

They aren't toxic, they just always want to do a 4 man swf and that is not something I enjoy all the time. So they're good friends but they get very upset when im on but "hide" from them because I don't like hurting feelings and rejecting people. 😅

Imagine if your friends used this forum lol. I hope you solve your first-world issue, have a good day.

  • just remove the toxic people from your life lol

  • They already took away the looping by making the map have 500 pallets. I ve had games that a noob survivor threw like 10 good pallets in almost 2 minutes at 5 gens. I dont call that looping. And guess what? When you hook that survivor,3 gens were finished and there are 490 pallets left in the map, enjoy!

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Am I the only one that liked the movement speed during tantrum add-ons? I actually managed to down 2 survivors that got too cocky with it.

Pretty much lol. I dont use addons on bubba, but when i do, i usually use chili, maybe just one of the engravings and the faster cooldown one.

No self care is 🗑 and not all of us console players are potatoes.

Lots of boosted red ranks right now due to so many babies in ranked for so long now.

Give it a little bit and you'll see that the real red ranks arent using self care because most of us dont mind being injured with alot of us running builds that give us a slight advantage when injured, plus if were confident in our looping ability plus we know what pallets are left around us were good.

Plus alot of us know that we need to get gens done first and healing second.

plus plus plus are you from playstation?

  • noed = unfair

ds,unbreakable, soul guard, adrenawin, dead hard, borrowed time, sprint burst = fair

but yeah, lets give chance to the survivors by nerfing the only one second chance perk of the killer, i dont see any problem.

i also dont see any problem using sprint burst, ds, unbreakable and soul guard in a game that gives your 3 lives, i see nothing wrong here.

damn, even friday the 13th game its more balanced than this one and you have only 1 live here, ######### please.

Do you even play your own game? Sitting directly under the pallet is the worst place to be for everyone on your team. Any good player and good streamer says the same thing. It makes for mistakes such as the healing survivor pulling down the pallet instead of healing and drawing the killer back. I meant to say that if another survivor draws the killer away you need to move to one side of the pallet so you can be healed up. Of the killer comes back you are still close enough to the pallet for a pallet save and it makes sure the healer doesn't accident drop the pallet trying to get you up.

I understand you, and i recommend not wasting time doing posts, i tell you for experience. You are talking stuff to casual players, its like talking to a wall.

    I didnt understood a ######### here lol.

Btw another thing i didnt understand is that you complain about camping killers, but then you defend them replying to the other guy? Like hulk said, these are confusing times LOL

  • Some kind of resistance, or even be more agressive (maybe do a KO to a survivor once in a while, so he cannot get picked up for a time, something brutal). You would have to charge your power tho, by getting stunned or something, to gain rage.

  • Sure, and also give the survivor endurance for 120 seconds, just in case.

Killers play for their own fun, not yours. I will not use melee in CoD just for your fun, i will be using shotguns to make you rage. Get it?

  • Whatever suits you, but i recommend binding the dead hard to the joystick by pressing it, so you can control when to use it much better, and you also move with the same joystick.

I didn’t know ALL of the community universally hated Spirit and can’t survive a chase for more than 20 seconds. Darn. I guess my entire SWF group is bad even though we can consistently beat Spirit. That’s a shame.

LOVE the sarcasm by the way. You’re messing with the king of sarcasm honey 😘

I think you re new to the game, or you farmed your posts so it would look like you know about the forums. Or maybe this is a bait, excuse me.

Or maybe you’re just bad at survivor and don’t have game knowledge on how to play against certain killers. You can’t play against every killer the same way. I wasn’t technically “looped” but they weren’t bad suvivors. It’s not like playing Spirit always equals a 4K especially against experienced players.

I got OG Badham and they wasted my time because they knew how to survive for just long enough to get all the gens done since they all split gen progress and I couldn’t pressure everything since I run no slowdown perks on Spirit. I still killed two survivors but that’s a loss to me :/

Then all the community are bad survivors. We are all boosted, damn! Since we are all bad, we should consider to go back to minecraft skywars! We were good here!

  • Not two, but just one second chance perk. Its already a 4v1 game, a second chance because you did bad is already unfair. But survivors put in 4 second chance perks in their build and they have no problem (thats the problem, you can use them all at once) and the killer is keeping getting punished for doing good.

Its embarrasing to me saying that friday 13th its better made than this game. There is actually a 12v1 i think but guess what? If you re good, you will kill them all. But this game keeps rewarding the ######### players with 4 second chance perks and 500 pallets every map. Sad.

  • Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they change some text in every addon of every survivor/killer it would break the game! Please remember how are the devs with the patches!

Fix one thing, make trouble on 9!

  • @IMhereRUN said:

NOTE: For this test, we will be operating under the understanding that all perks are at T3.

So many people (mostly survivor mains) do not comprehend how strong their over-excessive quantity of 2nd perks effect the game negatively. In order to fathom why this is an issue, you HAVE to understand how these perks effect the game as a whole. This means you need to look at the overall scheme of the game, NOT just your own biased opinion.

First, game facts! (no perks considered)

    1. Unbalanced game, heavily favoring survivors. Acceptable and predictable for a 4v1 strategic game.
    2. A survivor team that gets annihilated by a killer will still manage to safety pip at red ranks, or even pip-up. The same cannot be said for a killer that is destroyed.
    3. Survivors outnumber killers. This is also expected from a 4v1 game. Therefore, as the majority of the community, survivors have to be made happy, but survivors cannot even have a game without a killer player, so I think their side needs properly heard out from time to time.

Those are in-game facts that already ensure a challenging/stressful game for the killer side, but an easy/fun game for the survivor side.

Now let’s jump into perks. We’re going to accurately breakdown why some of these are meta crutches. To help illustrate this, we’re going to pretend that these perks have been created as KILLER PERKS instead of SURVIVOR PERKS.

    A. Decisive Strike

What it does: After being hooked, provides a second chance for 60 seconds. This is NOT an anti-tunnel perk as confirmed numerous times. I’m sure you other older players remember when DS was first released...you did NOT have to be hooked to use it. Why? Because it was designed as a 2nd chance, not just a 2nd chance from hooks. The perk gives you a free 2nd chance to reward you for losing multiple chases and (upon successful skill-check) prevents you from being hooked.

How this perk would work if it was designed for killer: Once per match, After a survivor is unhooked, they are cursed with a TELEPORT status effect for 60 seconds. If the player is downed within those 60 seconds, a killer can hit a skill-check to use DS and teleport the survivor to the hook furthest from the killer.

    B. Deadhard

What it does: Allows you to dash forward, being immune to attacks for the duration of the animation. Also works as a temporary speed boost to reach a tile you were not quite in range of due to out-position to help lengthen the chase. Can take away free hits from killers, can help an out-chased survivor regain distance.

Now, what if this was a killer perk? What would it do?: Use once every 60 seconds. Perform a lunge attack twice to normal range of your normal lunge. Any survivor within 3m of the killer that is injured is downed. This, like the survivor version, would give a killer a minor speed burst when found outpositioned to end the chase faster.

    C. Deliverance

What it does: upon obtaining a safe unhook, you can successfully unhook yourself if you have not been previously hooked. Causes broken for 60 seconds. This adds to the strength of the most powerful thing in the game: generator repair speeds. Now you can completely negate making a teammate get off a generator to save you, resulting in even faster gens, killing a vital piece of map pressure the killer has successfully earned.

How would this work as a killer perk: Once per match, Upon hooking a survivor, progressing generators equalling the number of players alive in the trial are blocked by the entity until the hooked player is unhooked. So if all 4 survivors are still alive, the Entity would block 3 generators that are progressing until the hooked survivor is rescued. Gives the unhooked survivor endurance for 60 seconds.

    D. Adrenaline

What it does: Once per game, upon completion of all generators, gives survivor one health slate and increases their movement speed to 150% for 5 seconds, causes exhaustion. This allows players towards the end of the game to focus on rushing gen speeds and not waste time healing. An injured survivor currently in a chase gets a nice speed boost and a new health state to put distance between them and the killer and negate the progress of the current chase the killer has already obtained.

How this would work as a killer perk: Once per match, after all generators are repaired, every survivor loses one health slate and you gain a 150% movement speed for 5 seconds. This means, if you’re on the other side of the map healthy, you are now injured. If you were already injured, you are now in the dying state.

We’ll stop there, but those are just some examples. Could you imagine playing VS a killer using these? The survivors would all rage quit and start playing killer. And yes, I know killer’s have NOED, but as it’s very easily disabled (even before ever being used), it is NOT worth mentioning. But if you insist!

    A. NOED

What it does: As long as a dull totem remains on the map, survivors are exposed and you gain a 4% speed increase when the exit gates are powered. This allows a killer to instadown players at the very end of the game.

How this would work as a survivor perk: Nope! I got a better idea!

Let’s say Decisive Strike was only powered by a small magical bush hidden in the map. By attacking this bush 5 times, Decisive Strike is no longer useable. You think killers would have an issue with a small secondary objective that indeed wastes 15 seconds, but counters a strong 2nd chance perk? C’mon, killers would be weedwacking everygame! An easily disabled perk is not worth mentioning.

The goal here, was to help the people that don’t understand how the game works to comprehend why these 2nd chance perks are so meta against killers. It’s the same reason survivors lost the “fear factor” of the game, and now (mostly) have more of a borderline cocky dimeanor. Because they know if they mess up or get out-played, their perks will carry them. If you look at the previously mentioned examples as if they were killer perks, you can see why they’re so crutch. I simply gave the perk the opposite effect.

Congratulations on this post, i liked it.

The problem itself is not the second chance perks, the real problem is that you can use them all at once. Now that is unfair.

I mean, lets be honest. Imagine if survivors had only 1 second chance perk, i wouldnt mind people abusing DS in matches, at least i can do quick chases ( no dead hards, no sprint bursts, etc...) and slug the person. I just dont wanna deal with BT, DS, adrenawin, DH, for the people? unbreakable, soul guard...? every game.

And the thing is that you can do nothing as killer, but survivors can cancel or avoid your very few second chance perks, like doing totems for noed, or even dropping pallets early for that enfury combo.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1436042#Comment_1436042

On paper it does not sound bad but trust me, it's very noticeable. Especially when you get a bugged blink and don't move. The cooldown also only starts after you enter fatigue. So you can at most recover only 1 blink and change.

There is also plenty of counters against her. Just because they aren't the exact same as every other killer does not mean they don't exist. In fact, she probably has more counters since things like LOS, 360 juking, and walls are extremely deadly to her and not even an inconvenience to most other killers. You can also use most of the same things (windows, pallets) against her. It's just a lot harder. I have plenty of survivors drop pallets on me mid chase or get saved vaulting. Of course they're way more dangerous against her, but entirely usable.

There is always something you can do against a Nurse. Whether it's easy or nearby is another story.

So i have to trust you now hmm...

Also please explain me that you dont like cooldown on nurse but you wish to get her CD addons removed? It confused me lol

  • @coppersly said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1435979#Comment_1435979

Well for starters it isn't 2 seconds, it's 3 per charge, 6 seconds total for double blinks. Secondly, I hate the bug where after a match your addons/offering are removed so I've entered games where I was forced to use the cooldown and I do just fine. I just enjoy that game a lot less because I spend 50% more of my time just walking at the slowest speed in the game.

Honestly I'd be down for PH getting less stun time off of missed hits of PotD. It's not strong enough currently (or consistent enough) to warrant such a long cooldown on missed attacks with it. It only enforces being able to use it strictly at animation locks or very narrow hallways.

It's not about her strength in regards to the cooldown. It certainly weakened her, but she's still relatively functional with the cooldown, but all of her mind games are gone. It's way more about her fluidity and fun elements that were completely shattered with the janky cooldown. You can look at that suggestion thread I made for my idea on how to use PH's power meter on Nurse for a much more fluid and less aggravating cooldown on her.

You've clearly not played Nurse because if you did you would see how unfun the cooldown mechanic is on top of her already existing built in cooldown. I desperately want them to either remove the CD addons or make the cooldown better to the point where I don't feel forced to run her only 2 good addons and can actually go back to using more than the CD ones.

How many blinks do you need to hit/down a survivor? 1? 2?

Lets say you just need one. Congratulations, you entered in fatigue and when you recover you gained your blink again, so technically you lost nothing!

Now lets say you needed both, like always. Good job on that hit! Since when you attack after a blink the fatigue is longer, (and even longer if you used both blinks) you will recover more than 1 blink when you re out of fatigue! Easy, and no calculator required!

So yeah, lets count those 6 seconds you said, of which like 4 seconds you cant do anything while you re stunned and looking to the floor! Ez maths!

And no, i dont like nurse, as it doesnt make any sense in the game, imagine having to run in circles between a pallet and a wall and theres a killer that teleports through walls, thats awesome and healthy for the game! If the nurse is good, theres literally NOTHING you can do to counter her.

Dont get me wrong, i do respect the people that plays her, being the hardest killer to play as. And maybe agaisnt... :)

  • @MegMain98 said:

Playing killer in general takes knowledge and skill whether you’re playing a hard killer like Nurse or a basic killer like Ghostface.

Spirit takes practice. You can easily demolish average teams but she’s still gonna struggle against good teams and if you haven’t put in practice as Spirit, you’re gonna be real hurt when you go against a sweaty SWF at Rank 1 because you won’t win. You have to actually know what you’re doing, it’s not a spoon-fed victory just because you’re Spirit.

People who say “I can play Spirit and 4K easy in red ranks” are going against average players or potatoes. You can 4K as any killer against a majority of survivors. I can play Spirit well and just last night I lost two games in a row because the survivors were efficient loopers and split gen progress. Even experienced Spirit players will lose from time to time especially against good teams.

I pretty much learned how to play killer well by using Spirit when she released so I didn’t have the typical experience :/

You got looped being spirit? Man its not even bait at this point

i 4k'd with legion with no add ons and 1 perk and it was my first game with him in red ranks but that doesn't mean he's good it was against bad survivors. On topic though all killer take some skill but this game is very random to the point were skill is kinda a second factor to spawns and if the survivors are playing average builds or meta builds same goes for killers.

Yeah i get you. Legion is underrated. I also forgot to mention i played in "red ranks", if that works as an argument, because this is a casual game and ranks doesnt matter.

  • The profile picture means nothing. I have Steve but im a killer main (was billy main, respect).

And about the nurse, you wont notice the "rework" because its just 2 seconds, and theres a yellow addon i think that makes it even shorter. Of course a bad nurse will notice the cooldowns, but im guessing a good / experienced nurse will not have any problems with the 2 seconds.

I mean, i cant say pyramid head is bad because i am horrible playing him and eating all the cooldowns, get it?

But its okay mate, we have different opinions. It just makes me laugh people doing drama for 2 seconds XD

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1435909#Comment_1435909

you blink 50% less with the cooldown than you did before it. How is that small or not game changing? Nurse used her power for quite literally everything so idk how that isn't the exact same as Billy who gets punished for using his power now, since you're constantly punished with fatigue and cooldown as Nurse.

Have you played nurse? Or your arguments are based by watching your favourite streamer?

  • Spirit is for people that is not good at the game and want to be something. Once i was streaming and my friend told me to play spirit, and i managed to do 4ks with no perks and no addons. It just doesnt require any skill, and if someone says so, they re a spirit main lmao

  • Im sorry but im not understanting the title. How did billy get nurse's treatment? People been crying about the nurse "rework", they added like 2 ######### SECONDS to her power, and you can use it again, not really game changing. And they killed billy punishing you by using your power.

Acording of how is billy now (he can barely use the chainsaw now) you should get stunned for 5 seconds when teleporting to a gen playing freddy. Sounds stupid right? Indeed it is, imagine using your power and getting punished for it. Imagine just backrevving a survivor with the chainsaw and getting like 40-50% overheat for no reason. Imagine hooking him, running to someone you saw with bbq and not being able to use the chainsaw again for like 25 seconds or so.

Now, i hope i'm not the only one with this kind of problem, but I am missing only ONE cosmetic piece for Claudette, which are the 4th year pants, due to me not logging in for one day because of other issues in my life that had higher importance.

As someone who mains Claudette when playing survivor, i was really looking forward to using this set, but I now have no way of obtaining the last part of the set. I was thinking we could try to convince the devs to re-release the cosmetics for a short time for those of us who could not quite get them or are missing one or two pieces. I really don't want this to turn into the same thing as legacy stuff, and be missing one of the main parts of the outfits in later years.

Like you said, theres other issues in your life that have higher importance. Its just a cosmetic and its also ugly. Just use the op prestige 3 skin or move on.
