  • Why do you hate him so much?

For me, he is one of the most fun killers in DbD (playing and versing him)

If you want to discuss the Oni, give us a bit more input.

What kind of smoothbrain designed this and thought this would be a good idea to leave it as is?

You should be encouraging skill based interaction between players, not having 4/5 people running around the map the entire trial trying to remove an instakill debuff that constantly reveals their location. You're effectively removing a player from the game the entire time and it lasts way too long.

There is no decision making process, here is no mind gaming, there is no interaction, there is no risk & reward. You don't outplay it and it doesn't outplay you. It's uninteractive and unfun.

If you're going to have such a broken mechanic, there needs to be some amount of counter play & not have to spend the entire game running in a circle waiting to die. Similar mechanics all have appropriate counter play and interactivity.

You need to ask yourself a very simple question when designing this kind of content: "will this be fun for the people playing the game?"

I'm to the point where I just do a gen until the trap pops and then I go back to lobby. It's not fun running around on auto-pilot making no decisions and not interacting with the killer or the game in any interesting way.

It is really not that hard to get those traps off your head and it is part of her power, that she can remove a player for a certaint ammount of time. Other then that, she does not have a lot going for her.

I personally like that there is a killer that can do stuff like that. It is a unique concept and a bit variety in gameplay compared to the rest of the killer roster and it is good for the game overall.

It does not have to be interactive all the time, and i dont see why this is unfun at all. Versing the pig is in my opinion not a bad experience at all, same with playing the pig.

I died to a beartrap 1-2 times in my DBD life span. It is not that hard to get those traps off your head.. All it does is that it costs you and the team some time.

You need to ask yourself a very simple question when designing this kind of content: "will this be fun for the people playing the game?"

For me as a player, the Pig is fun both ways versing and playing. They succeeded, at least for me.

I think you overract a bit, it might be that there is no big brain gameplay involved when having a bear trap on your head, but thats fine in my opinion.

Some ❤️ for the Pig :)

  • I dont get why they removed the splinters. They should have changed that they were so expensive (7000), but the rest of it was a nice way to test them. If it was about me, i would bring them back.

  • Pssst.. over here!

You better vote for ######### perks, the OP is from the dev team and the winning perk is gotta get nerfed

That last part makes no sense?

Survivors will know if you have a mori, because the offering doesn't flip.

Yes, but explain me how this will help survivors with their loadout? OP said he can deal with keys he sees on survivors in the lobby, so my response was, that survivors have no information at all. How should they know its a mori and how should they react to that? Its 2 late to bring better items/other perks etc

Hag is actually one of the best killers.

    😂

Someone here literally posted more than 100 games(rank1) with 3-4kills every game as addonless plague which already proves my point.

You can all scream "bait" all you want . You only showing that you clearly have a lot to learn when playing killer and that your logic is one sided.

The fact that you mentioned low tier killers proves that you post before read .

Just for the record, it was not 3-4 Kills every game, all games were 4K. That was the point of the 4K streak :P

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1207848#Comment_1207848

Well, the entire discussion is about keys being found in chests. So I don't really know why you're talking about keys in lobby.

Also, everyone reacts to secret offerings... "oh, a secret offering, it must be a mori, I should play carefully"

Why i am talking about keys in lobbys? Because that was one of his arguements? First read the context of a conversation and then join it.

Yes, everyone reacts to secret offerings in the match, but not in the lobby (how should they?). A killer can simply change his killer/perks/addons if he sees a key. Do survivor have a possibility like this?

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1207596#Comment_1207596

That is not a valid argument. Everyone sees the "secret" offering.

And even then, after you mori someone, the other 3 are still alive and playing the game normally.

While a key will suddenly stop the game because all survivors that are left escape in 5 seconds with no room for counterplay.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1207638#Comment_1207638

You can only do a 3gen if the survivors allow it. So yeah... very little skill on their part.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1207745#Comment_1207745

So... you want the killer to play bad? And let the person that can end the game sooner alive when there's 1 or 2 gen left?

If you bring such a powerful item, you better be ready to survive.

What you want, is like asking survivors to unhook in front of bubba. An objectively bad play.

How are you able to react to a secret offering? The statement was that a killer can see a key in a lobby and he could react to that, how should a survivor react to a secret offering with items or perks?

After you mori one guy early, it is GG unless there are only 1 or maybe 1,5 gens left to do. As a killer you can not loose a 3v1 unless you are far less skilled then survivors. One is on the hook, one is getting chased, one is safing. It becomes almost impossible to break this cyle against a decent killer. But dont make this a mori discussion now.

The room for counterplay is to kill them. As a killer i NEVER have a problem against keys ever and as a survivor i almost never escape through hatch with multible people. I was honestly surprised when i saw that many here have a problem with keys.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Hillbilly is an example of a perfectly balanced killer, he has plenty of counterplay but at the same time is a very strong killer. His addons need a review, yes, but the rest of hillbilly is fine.

110% killers rely on their powers during a chase and good luck managing to curve around shack or something. That's where Billy is different to spirit or nurse, their powers will help them catch up to a survivor in a chase. Unless you're holding W Billy's will not. He has an insta down, sure, but so does myers, myers' insta down is faster and leaves less counterplay once he's behind you.

The chainsaw helps you find survivors and down survivors, but doesn't help you chase survivors that much. Hillbilly is perfectly balanced and should remain untouched for the foreseeable future.

    Controversal topic.

There is something in me that says, he is fine, because it takes so much skill to pull off crazy curves with his chainsaw. But on the other side, the OP is right with his arguments.

My honest opinion is, that he should stay 115, but there are 2 things that have to get nerfed or removed. Doom Engravings and Carburettor Tuning Guide. Those addons make him a bit too powerful. And Thompson's mix / Primber bulp should become very rare addons.

From there on, we should see how it goes, but my guess would be that he is fine after that small change.

If you can actually get 100 victories in a row with 3 or more kills at rank 1 with valid proof, I'll lobby alongside you. I'm surprised nobody picked up on this borderline impossible condition. I'm perfectly ok with saying if you can pull that off, let's nerf killers somehow. If survivors could get 100 4 man escapes in a row, I would definitely want them nerfed.

    There we go

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLYAFjg63FM

    Not even addons, Rank 1

  • @Chaoutzu said:

For as many iri heads i've ran into, and other ultra rare killer addons that break the game, this isn't a valid complaint. I've found 1 key in a chest since I've been playing. I know, because I was pretty excited that it was the first key I had, that's why the moment stuck out in my head awhile ago.

Then you are really unlucky. For me, 1/10 chest searches is a skeleton or dull key.

    Topic:

They should lower the chance to find a key in chests, but removing the possibility at all is not the way to go.

If one of the Survivors brought a key right from the start, I can completely understand and revise my strategy. But there's literally no counter to unexpected keys from chests in a 3 gen situation.

That is not a valid argument, since surivovrs also dont know you might bring a mori until its to late to react to that.

  • Maybe he is just a good killer and can pull it off? Why it has to be bait?

I also 2-4K almost all of my games on rank 1, just because you can not do it, does not mean every one else cant do it.

Sidenote: I find the game more of less ballanced and not killer sided.

Welcome to the land of diversity where only Oni, Freddy, Billy, Spirit, Nurse, and Doctor stand a fair chance to win against good survivors.

I find running Spine Chill has me hit less through windows. Try throwing that into your kit.

Survivors Teabagging... Best hope my aim with deathslinger is off and you're not injured lol

I pretty much run spine chill most of my games since i am convinced it is one if not the best perk for survivors (maybe even in general), and sometimes even Resillience as an adition to run the Fast Vault build. I am very advanced in looping, maximising loops as much as possible and for that i have to have my timing always on point... in which i normally succeed. But then dedicated servers comes around the corner and says NO! Should make a compilation of dedicated server hits, i would be able to make a 5 minutes video of dedicated server hits every week..

I must always laugh when people come around and say that it works perfectly fine since from the killers perspective, it was a legit hit. How is that fair? I can not calculate this what the killer might see and what not, when you try to milk a loop as much as possible, it becomes a guessing game sometimes.

haha yea and the tbaging... i mean i can understand it if i would play scummy.. then i would deserve that, but not when i play nice as usually.

  • As a killer:

    • When i play bad (for example miss a blink as the nurse or loose a player during chase)
    • I play very fair and actually friendly, never tunnel, never camp not even at the endgame. But when then one of these shits is tbaging at the exit gate... oh man, this is something that pisses me off

    As a survivor

    • Window hits... oh god they tilt me. Dedicated servers are my cryptonite
    • When playing bad in general
    • When others play really bad

It has too many pallets. It's hard 4 me to get past rank 15 cuz I keep getting that map and it has too mant windows

The game is definitly one of the most killer sided maps. It is really small and has 2 floors with a lot of dropping possibillitys which makes patroling gens extremly easy compared to other maps. On top of that, survivors have a hard time guessing where the killer is, since of LOS block, 2 floors and constant terror radius that is not always an indicator. Also finding totems on this map is for some reason harder then on most others. As a killer it is also easy to sneak up on survivors when you play a stealth killer like Myers or Ghostface.

  • @swiftgiraffe808 said:

I’m very disappointed in the huge range of blood points it seems possible to get. When I play doctor and use 3 slots for bp perks I can get about 100k per game but when I play survivor even if I do 2-3 gens, save people from hooks a couple times, escape the killer multiple times, and get out alive I get like 25k. This really isn’t cool. I think this is a huge aspect of the game and it doesn’t seem possible to earn bp very well as survivor. If I’m wrong could someone tell me how to earn more bp as a survivor? I like to play both but it’s pretty excruciatingly slow if I play survivor which kind of cuts down on my fun in the game. I want bp so I can unlock more survivor perks and try more combinations. Experimenting is most of the fun for me and if I’m stuck with only playing a couple killers because they give me the most bp out of every other option it’s not as fun.

    Hello

This is my 2 go build as a survivor to max out on bloodpoints:

    • Prove Thyself for max bloodpoints on Objective
    • Decisive Strike for Survival (Beeing the Obsession and escape gives you extra 1500 bloodpoints on top of the 5000)
    • Deliverance for Survival (1500 for unhooking yourself)
    • We're gonna live forever for double bloodpoints post trial

Boldness is really not that hard to max out. Just be a decent runner and it should not be a big problem. If you struggle, do totems, they give you 1000 for a dull and 1500 for an active one.

Alturism is normally also not that hard. Best points you get is in the endgame. Safe unhooks + a full heal on him during EGC gives 2750 alone.

The only tricky part is Survival, but with that build you should be able to fully max out very often compared to any other build.

    Kind regards

Lol comparing a hex perk that can be destroyed the first 20 seconds of the game to map layouts and window spawns that stay there forever and nothing the killer can do. Really bad comparison bud

So you dont want to answer my question? :/

  • @Mellow7 said:

The upcoming patch isn't really a Killer buff just a balance change, you could say it's a indirect buff but that's a bit of a stretch I would just call it for what it is a balance update.

Yeah, because running around with Inner Strength searching for a totem is so much more efficient.

Indeed, it is. I dont use any of those perks, but if i had to pick one, it would be Inner.

    • Cleansing a Totems prevent noed / destoy killer perks
    • You normally do a totem at the start of the game, and not in a critical situation, therefore you have it ready on demand
    • You get healed way faster
    • You are not as exposed as you are with Selfcare
    • Nurses, any aura reading perks and sloppy wont have any effect on you
    • You dont make as much noise as selfcaring

There are only two plus for Selfcare compared to Inner: You might run out of totems because they were already done and you might not find a totem because you are new to the game.

  • Nice thanks for the effort.

100 games is not a lot of data to proof really something, but if i had to guess, i would have been really close to your final result. 2,8 kills on average on red ranks is what was expected.

Its probably a bit less for Teams tho, but not by a lot.

  • I enjoy Myers more. They are both good, but probably ghosti is a little bit better.

  • @matchmakingworksfine said:

Hawkins is the most survivor sided map in the game imo.

0 hooks on the second floor

3 pallets in every single hallway and 2 pallets in every room

And with the huge debris everywhere it is impossible to play efficiently as oni and Billy.

If you dont think this map is survivor sided your not past rank 15.

It is defnitly very killer sided.

2nd floor as 1 single gen generator and on both stairways ther are hooks. Also down the dropper.

Pallets are (beside 2) all very unsafe for survivors. If you dont get the stun (and hope the killer has no Spirit fury), you are dead.

Oni and Billy always had a problem with indoor maps, that is true, but just because they can not utilize their full power does not mean they can not win on this map. Survivor suffer from more disadvantages, but i wont explain this to you.

"If you dont think this map is survivor sided your not past rank 15" Damn you got me with that :( Kinda rank 15 here. Rank 1 after 5 hours post reset or so.... Just wonder what your rank might be hmmm...

Camping isn't real in the way everyone describes it, which is something killers do just to ######### with survivors.

It is a strategy, everbody probably knows. But it stays camping and most considere it a dirty way to play. Nothing new here.

  • @plunder said:

This is not from a killers standpoint but for both sides. swf isnt really the problem on it's own. Discord and console party chats is the problem that needs to be addressed. The devs need to take a stance on this and make it where you cant que in game or start a game in lobby while a third party voice chat is active. They need to give solos a ingame party chat if it was intended for survivors to have it. So at least survivors are nerfed fairly for all then nerfing all of them because of swf party chats.

If communication for survivors wasn't intended. then they need start adding into the game a blocker for party chats for console and have pc flag discord so they cant start lobbies or games while its active. Mainly because those are considered exploits that should be bannable. For anyone who doesn't understand. The act of using third party software to give yourself a unfair advantage that the developers didn't intend is a exploit. That frankly needs to be bannable.

But let's be real no dev will do this. They will hide. because they want to shill money from us as long as they can with shoddy design games they create. Why else do you see so many bugs that takes weeks or been a year and still not fixed. But I rather vent this frustration thenhold onto it.

How on earth should it be possible for the devs to find a way to deactivate any program that is installed on the users pc, especially by a legal way. They are not even able to fully prevent cheats which intervent with the actual game. On top of that, its 2020, most people do own a mobile phone.

You can not do anything about this.

  • So camping is not real because it can be punished by survivors?

    It is still camping.

I picked her up to hook her further away, so I can then see the aura of the other two survivors on the ground with BBQ, it was strategic. What I didn't count on, was being punished for taking advantage of their mistakes by staying too close to the hook.

I understand your POV, however, I really have to disagree in seeing the logic of why someone in my position should be punished for capitalizing on THEIR mistakes.

No offense, but just reread your own posting

"I picked her up to hook her further away, so i can then see the auro of the other two survivors"

You tried to capitalise from a perk (BBQ)

    And so did Jane (DS)

The intention of this thread is to come up with ideas to make solo surviving bearable, what suggestions can you come up with?

I'll start with mine, which is to make Self Care baseline. It'll open up a perk slot for something more useful, and shouldn't really effect higher skilled players/swf since they heal each other anyways.

I would also think Urban Evasion should also become base kit, since it would be nice to see that walking bush walk a little faster to come unhook me from across the map. It's not a necessary change, but it would be nice.

I agree with the headline of the topic, but not with your post.

If any perk should be baseline, then it is kindred or at least a small version of it (see other survivors for 5 seconds when somebody is on the hook for example)

Selfcare and Urban does not really help you as a solo player.

I been playing for some time now and i have some experience whit the game. And i would say that we really need some casual more chill games. Were ranking up is not the hole game and winning the game is not the goal. More layed back were you still earn you're bloodpoint's.

I think we need a gamemode in Dbd were the rank's are turned off and were you play completely vanilla. That mean's no perk's addons and offering's but were you still get you're bloodpoint's. This can make it so people that are new to the game dosent need to meet people whit the iridesent head on huntress, or be looped the hole game from a purple flashlighting surviver.

or what do you guy's/girl's think?

Correct me if i missunderstand you, but...

I dont think this mode where no rank exist would help anybody to get a better gaming experience, actually this would make it even worse. Just because perks would be removed does not mean skill or behaviour would change. Also, a random rank 1 killer could show up in a lobby with rank 20 survivors (and around) which would totally lead to an unballanced gaming experience. How should this be fun for anyone?

Sure the game is getting more and more killer sided since ages, we almost only see survivor nerfs and killer buffs. I mean, this is no secret, you can read the patchnotes. I said spirit and nurse were overpowered? Ahm, lol yes of course they were overpowered, what else? You really want to discuss this? Same for instaheals, they were overpowered. I mean, do we really have need to debate that?

Oh and just for the record, Nurse and Spirit are STILL overpowered. Another shocker and big suprise :D

Also maybe consider LEARNING nurse before assuming she's op. She is very strong but really balanced if you can place your blinks in the right position. It takes days to learn plus she has been nerfed because rank 20's kept complaining that she's op. as for spirit her mindgames have been nerfed quite a lot. If you actually pay attention when against her, whenever she activates her power a few glimpses of her appear next to her. That shows she is using her power therefor you can react quicker. Also multiple blinks for nurse has been removed as well as a cooldown for her power. If that isn't a nerf idk what is

Is this a mistake and you actually tried to quote someone else? I mean, where did i say all those things you are "countering"?

you're a bit scummy aren't you? don't come here and lecture people on being good when you say you don't play killer. That very sentence already proves your view on killers untrustworthy. I am rank 3 killer and rank 4 survivor so i know what i'm talking about. Yet again remember what i said. Nobody wins against a swf at RED RANKS. Were you red ranks when you "wiped the floor" with a swf. Better yet were they even swf??

Where did i write i dont play killer? I have all over my accounts probably 5K games as killer, flex btw, but i dont main them, i play both sides. There are killers out that play them exclusive and know more about them and also play them better. It does not change the fact that you dont have to be a god tier killer to win against a 4 man team, because, ... i am no god tier killer (yet :P)

I am a rank 1 Killer and a rank 1 Survivor so i also know a little bit about the game and what i am talking about. Does it make me really scummy to tell my point of view?

I’ve played this game with some of my friends since the beginning (2016), when it was really fun. But we all stopped after a year, when this game become “only for the killer’s fun”. I thought this couldn’t evolve worse, but here we are 3 years later when as a survivor you literally have no chance against a killer, nor fun playing.

I’ve returned to this game a week ago and the first new thing I see are more killer buffs??

Ok, I get it, you want the killer to be able to catch every survivor even if it is “experimented”, but how about the rest of us, not red ranks or anything?! We literally spawn near the killer every damn match, and you plan to make the maps even smaller... Besides that, there are hooks everywhere so no chance of wiggle off if you aren’t swf... And the killer can now close the hatch?! What should I do if I am the only one remained, he closes the hatch and the time is running out? Just die, isn’t it lovely? Should I bring a key on every match? Or try to open the door? I’ve tried and it’s near impossible when the killer is Demogorgon, Billy, Huntress, Spirit etc. Not to say that killer mains are salty and thirsty af.

I’ve played this game many hours in the past and never abused an infinite, swf gen rush or any of the things you try to prevent. I am not “God” at playing survivor, that’s why I’ve never had a red rank, yet I try my best to just enjoy playing but it has become impossible to even “learn” to play again.

I think I’ve played killer for 2-3 times in my life and even so I can make a 4 men...

You guys just make this game less fun for every new player or survivor main. But who cares about them, right?

Note: Sorry for possible mistakes, my mother language isn’t english.

    Hello

I am on board with you when you say that the upcoming changes are an overkill and they should not nerf survivors that hard, but i disagree with your statement, that the game used to be fun (i assume you mean more fair with that aswell) in 2016.

I mean, there were countless stuffs that were simply overpowered. Look at the old window vaults, no entity blocker made it almost impossible to catch survivors. Or instablind flashlights. That was bs aswell. Or brand new parts... i admit i never played at the time when BNPs where a think (those who could repair a gen instantly) but this is stuff that simply HAD to be nerfed, because it was overpowered and unfair.

So are killers like nurse and Spirit. Or Instaheals. Just overpowered and not good for the game.

I disagree with the toolbox nerf tho, that was simply 2 much. Reducing charges vom 180 to 32 is basicly removing them from the game.

lol that's the whole reason why we want a buff because legit nobody wins against swf at red ranks. Like i said you've never played red ranks as killer so you cannot complain.

That is true, nobody wins against them, besides those killers that actually do.

See, those comments make killers here unbelieveable from time to time. I, someone who is not the best killer and not even a killer main wiped the floor with 4man SWATS countless times. I can do it, so a good killer main should be more then capeable to do aswell.

Or when i play in 4 man party with people on my skilllevel, we also loose games, if the killer is actually.. u know... good!

4 man squads that try really hard are indeed tough to deal with for most killers beside nurse, spirit, freddy and billy but it is far away from beeing impossible.

Please add in an icon next to players' names in lobby that let Killer knows which one is in SWF mode.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/448/G0M59R1CBKG4.png

Or even less that just give us an icon to know if there are any SWF at all

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/624/39GW0Y8SA9RV.png

So at least we can bring in a better Killer, add on

As a Trapper main, for me those coil add on makes disarm trap slower are the most useless. Many time I use double coil add on just to get rid of them. And vs a hard core SWF with 3 head on.

Hm, i dont know about that. On the one side, it seems to be fair to know who you are up against, since they could be on voice and this will make your game harder most of the time, on the other side, Survivors dont have ANY information. No idea who the killer is, no idea what addons he is running. The killer knows pretty much everything who he is versing and what the bring to the party.

Well most survivors don't even solo queue anymore. It's nearly always SWF from my experience. Usually with no items, and a group of people who run in a group and constantly take protection hits to protect each other and then scatter to keep working on gens. Which is usually a pain in the backside for a casual killer main, making it so you have to sweat hard to even do well at all. I used to be a solo survivor myself, (loved playing as Bill) but it just doesn't seem worth it, compared to playing solo killer. The game is basically considered a "party" game now anyway, so it's always a group of friends usually.

From statistics, you get a 4man not even every 10 games. Over 50% of the playerbase is playing solo survivor, again, according to offcial statistics. It is not nearly as bas as you think.

I have an idea, how about survivors dont run towards dead zones, or plan escapes? Hell consider dragging the killer to a deadzone so he has to waste time on you rather than whine because you cant pallet stun flashlight stun the killer every 5 seconds.

Here is the thing. The whole middle was a deazone. 1 Pallet for 2 generators while the next pallet was the killershack and the crane does not give you a lot of room to play. Not running into deadzones is easy to say when you are surrounded all over the place with deadzones. If the killer is smart, he will force this one pallet early in the game and he has a relative easy mid/lategame.

So TLDR, I stopped playing a few months back for 2 big reasons.

    1. Game Balance

    2. Queue Time

The dev team seems to have been much better with balance as of late, I'll give them that.

Queue times however, I would regularly wait over and hour for a rank 13 killer game.

Have queue times gotten better since then or should I just cut my losses and stick to WoW?

    1. Game Balance: At a pretty good state right now actually. Slightly favours survivor if they are in a group and all play well, but on the other side it slightly favours the killer if he runs into solo players. After the upcoming patch, killer will be superior without a doubt on pretty much any level.
    2. Queue Times: Rank 1 on both sides, EU. Fine actually. I get faster games as a survivor but it is just minor.

About the ballancing. I am not sure about that. The upcoming patch seems to be not really well thought to an end and appiers to be more a buff for weak killers (surprise, the majority here in this forum 😯). If you count yourself to that group, you should defniitly come back, it will be christmas and eastern for you at the same time. If you are a survivor and you had trouble looping the killer for longer then a minute or two, better stay away.

Last but not least: Why would you hate yourself so much that you play WoW? ;)

    Kind regards

Are you sure there were just so few pallets on that map? It couldn't maybe have been because survivors wasted some pallets already? Because Gas Heaven wasn't even touched according to the dev update and the patch notes. Otherwise this has to be some kind of bug, as I've never seen Gas Heaven with only 8 pallets before.

Though RNG has always had quite an impact on maps though, look at this video from tru3ta1ent for example, where Bloodlodge actually looks like a manageable map for once:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D6-tuL-lJs

I think the best way to check and see how many pallets actually spawn is to play any killer and slap on Zanshin Tactics, I'll probably do that myself as well today. I'm all for more balanced maps but 8 pallets in total isn't balanced.

Alright then, i guess i have to upload the video at some point. Hard to beat the community managers word without a video proof. Might take a while tho, my license is sitting in a building that is closed because of corona and i am not sure my friend who works there is there very often currently.

Oh whoa, you say it happened twice? That raw amoung of data surely trumps the community manager and the patch notes both confirming the changes you're reporting didn't happen. Bhvr fix yo #########

Yes it happend twice in a row, a scenario i have not had ever in thousends of games. Guess i should play the lottery tomorrow... better 2 times.

And community manager does not make you infallible, especially not when it comes to bugs and Public test servers.

Btw apparently other people had the same issue. I guess we were all in the same game with this misterious one in a million never happen again layout.

(sidenote, there is rng but there are certain rules for each map, for example how close pallets can spawn to each other and how far they are away from each other. Having 1 pallet in the whole middle area alone is breaking those rules very likely)

  • Depends. If a killer runs into 4 solos, the killer. If he is up against a super tryhard SWF team, the survivors. If the killer is called "Nurse" then the killer.

  • @Parallax said:

I've seen that happen on live servers, you just got horrible RNG.

    @Awkward_Fiend said:

Gas Heaven is one of the least constant maps in the game. I've played a game with a whopping total of 5 pallets, and I've played another where almost every possible spawn for them was filled. It's either blatantly survivor sided, or blatantly killer sided, rarely is it actually balanced.

I have not had a layout that was even close to be as aweful as one of those and i get them 2 times in a row. I highly doubt that.

  • @Nameless said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1202003#Comment_1202003

The logical answer would be that you just got extremely unlucky with RNG and got a terrible variation of the map because the map didn't have that many pallets to begin with. I doubt they would reduce the amount of pallets because of this, but Idk though.

I know this map really well, and this was then the by far worst variation i have ever had. 2 times in a row. I dont think so (even i REALLY hope you are right)

  • @Peanits said:

I hate to break it to ya', but the number of pallets has not changed (except for Distrubed Ward, where the Aslyum now has 2 pallets instead of 4).

No offense but there are only 3 options

    Some changes were done

There is a bug you are not aware off

8 Pallets on Gas Heaven was always standard

    Which one is it?

Actually they didn't touch this map... Unless they just forgot to mention it.

When nobody cant believe it, you know that those changes are really aweful.

Here, maybe some more screens might help you

Theres always a pallet or vault somewhere..you could say the same with killer hooks yet there are those who would want them miles apart despite it being the killers obj

    thats how much they work.jpg

Hooks are really rare in this game.
