Honestly he's by far the most balanced killer and he forces survivors to adapt quickly to the situation at hand.
Honestly I welcome the change on both sides of it. I play both sides pretty equally and he's a menace to go against and fun to play as.
-
Yeah man. I wish you could send hate mail, too!
get over yourself.
-
For The People, Resilience, Iron Will, BT.
Trust me. If you're not scared of being injured or playing risky, this build will pay you dividends quickly.
Edit: forgot killer build
Ghostface build that carried me to rank one: Pop, I'm All Ears, STBFL, Whispers
-
Rank 1 survivor
Rank 2 killer
I prefer killer but have no issues playing either.
-
Run both honestly. Surge is great for the immediate gens post down but when you hook them and going patrolling for a difference survivor, you more than likely will walk by a gen that's moving.

The Nea Hype shirt belongs to Diatech, and it's up to him to decide who he gives it to. The Bloodletting shirt was part of a paid promotion with the merch store back when it first launched, so we don't give out any keys for it (wouldn't be fair to the people who had to buy something from the store to get it).
If you do stream regularly on Twitch, however, we do have Twitch shirts that we give out from time to time. Our team browses DBD streams pretty often, and we'll give them out to people who are dedicated and put a lot of work into their streams.

I just hit P1 last night. Going to P3 him in less than a week then it's back to learning Nurse and Oni.
-
Hey real quick, what lottery numbers should I play next week?
-
Yeah. That poor Nancy hahahaha
-
I forgot I took this

It's a great map. Playing it as a survivor vs as a killer is a completely different gaming experience. As a survivor I was actually a little spooked. Especially walking out of the bathrooms. The constant low noises and the siren at the start of the round really set the mood that this is indeed a horror game.
As a killer it's definitely not as scary but that's by design I feel.

If you need a killer to tunnel someone out of the match for an ez 3v1 then you are not good. Amirite?
Well I for one don't need DS or BT. And I'm not crying about an official mechanic and calling it an exploit because I don't like how it nullifies my precious perks.
It's okay to be upset. You've been playing with training wheels this whole time and now you gotta take em off.

That is still not fair one killer bypasses all perks. That's gaining an unfair advantage:. Exploit
No, that's working as intended.
If you think you need DS, BT, or any perk to be good at the game, well sorry to break it to you but you're probably not as good as you think you are.

Yes, ignore my post because I'm describing how some people are using it to create a situation where it's difficult for a survivor to do anything and actually learning the new killer instead of asking for buffs so soon.
I'm ignoring your post because it truly adds nothing to the conversation.
You get denied a vault and complain about it instead of adapting, or "learning the killer" as you put it.
It's okay.

Hell no, it works fine right now Pyramid Heads literally get free downs on me by preventing vaults, and when I try to bait it, they just M1. If you had to, I'd personally reduce his punishment for missing his power attack a bit. So maybe from 3 seconds to 2.5?
"Literally gets free downs on ME"
Sorry dawg, rest is invalid.
-
200% fine where he is. If anything, he needs a little buff with the cooldown between using his power and going for a basic attack.
-
@Sluzzy said:
Yeah, I am still astounded a cage does not trigger perks although it counts as a sacrifice. This is certainly to be changed since it can be exploited.
ONE killer can go around BT and DS. It's definitely not the end of the world. People are making it seem like it's going to be nothing but Pyramid Heads being used now.
You seem that forget that you have to be Tormented before you can be placed in a cage. It's very possible to go a full match without ever having that debuff applied.
Truthfully it's a great thing that he can bypass these perks. DS is way too strong in its current state and when coupled with BT?!
-
He's not even that bad to go against?
His trail is easy to avoid. Torment is easy to get rid of, and his power telegraph's exactly where it's going.
Every time a new killer is released, we go through this same ole song and dance. Remember when people were upset and saying he's OP? Look where we are now with him.
Give the dust some time to settle before you start saying he's OP or promotes this or that.
Pyramid Head is fun to play as and against. He has a pretty steep learning curve so it'll be very interesting to see what builds people come up with.
-
If they were to reduce the cooldown after ROJ, he would definitely be stronger. Hopefully they do in the future. Even a second less of a cooldown would be huge for him.
-
Didn't work for me on Xbox :(

Maybe that's how it works for you. I've been doing fine without doing that.
I'm saying. Out of all the games I've played today as him, I've only had one game where I got zero kills and that was the first game.
Slowly getting a feel for his power and I'm really digging how it works. You literally become the ultimate zone denier.
My only real complaint is I wish the cool down between using his trail and going to do a basic attack was a second faster. Other than that, he's definitely a strong killer with a high skill ceiling.

This dude treating the employees at BHVR as his own personal robot army.
Nah man. They deserve breaks and a chance to test and figure out what went wrong and where.

Then start it off at 17 if you've hit a higher threshold with another killer idc.
This game is borderline abusive at the best of times and I really don't care to sift through the human garbage that is matchmaking to even TRY TO HAVE FUN.
There is no reason to assume I have the same skill on a brand new killer as I do with my main killer. And there is no evidence to back it up either. Plenty of evidence to back up needing to have a less toxic/skilled pool too.
This. With Ghostface i definitely deserve to be in higher ranks but with other killers (trying to learn Oni and Nurse), I'm completely trash with. A different rank for each killer would be a great thing if it could be successfully implemented.
-
I love it. I'm a huge horror movie nerd and being able to play as my favorite on screen killer is amazing. On top of that, i's my most played game this generation next to PUBG.
Sure it has its bugs and issues but I always enjoy my time spent playing.
-
You must be new here.
-
Ready for it. Taught my girlfriend how to unlock it on my Xbox cause I'll be at work all day tomorrow hahaha
-
I watch three
Otz cause I have learned so much on how to be a better killer through his videos.
Inter4ct because his how to videos are incredibly in-depth and I still watch them today.
Ussyls because he's honestly the best survivor I've seen and I've learned to mimic his playstyle and it's made me great survivor

I was trying to finish teachables for my survivors, so I only have 500k bps and no challenges left to claim, but at least it's something
That's where I'm at but if anything, I'll trade some shards in at the shrine for more BP.
-
Yeah I play on a Xbox One X and the frame drops are so so so bad at times. It doesn't matter what role I'm on.
Survivor? Hit by any status effect!? Enjoy your negative frames. Especially if it's sloppy butcher or Freddy putting you to sleep.
Decided to play killer? Enjoy your zero FPS when you bloodlust or when an active totem is broken or when you do most of your basic killer abilities.
It's laughable honestly. I don't know how they got it running but I truly hope they fix it soon.
-
Definitely feel like I'm better than the average player in my rank group in both modes. But i still have my games where I play like an idiot so its definitely in flux

I started to run Resilience with For The People, Borrowed Time, and Iron Will. It's a nasty hook bomb build.

This combo is lethal on Leatherface!
Bubba, Wraith, Oni. Hell even Spirit if you work it correctly. You just become a damn juggernaut.

Nemesis and Play With Your Food
Yes, please pallet stun me so I get faster.

Then you're clearly not going against people that know how to use it. It's devastating on loops. For me, nurse calling. I rarely find a use for it.
Panic is a funny thing. But again, it's a single use. Once I know you have dead hard, it'll never work against me again.
-
My first game. I still remember to this day
"What the hell is this bear trap doing here?!"
Seconds later, stepped on it because I thought it was scene dressing "SON OF A #########!"
-
Dead Hard for sure. When I play killer, I either A. Bait it out and just slap you after you use it.
B. Swing without baiting, realize you have have it and remember for future chases.
Dead Hard is simply not as effective as people make it out to be.
-
I use it for BP if I'm in a pinch and really need to level someone up but for the most part, I have all the teachable's I want.
But we also have to remember that there's a lot of people who simply do not have the time to play like some of us so the Shrine is definitely a saving grace to some.

I remember an old PS2 survival horror game called Haunted Grounds ( It was called Dementia in Europe I think). It was basically a single player version of DBD. I seem to remember tons of interactable objects in the game world you could use to slow the killer down. Book shelves, statues, ect. Stuff like that would be nice as well. Imagine being on a second floor and pushing a statue down onto a killer while he's chasing someone else. Epic.
Hm I'm not familiar with this game but I'm going to look it up cause now I'm curious!

Indoor maps really shouldn't have pallets... accually nothing but a wear house map should
Bookshelves in a library map
Nurses stations on lerys
Haybales ect
Really should reskin those rectangles sometime
100% this. It would definitely help to make the individual maps seems more unique
-
Won't let me edit but supposed to say "instead of pallets, you can slam a door in a killers face"
@Pigpen said:
I agree. I always wanted doors that started off open that survivors could close and the killer would have to break like a pallet. Slamming a door in the killer's face for a stun would be really cool. It would add some much needed variety to the game.
That's what I'm saying. Just some extra props in the world that both sides could interact with

Chains of hate was awful
Another killer with bad add-ons
Yui 2: now american
6 cooldown perks (counting the rework of sabo), only like 2 are worth talking about
very meh map, walls are neat but don't really change how it feels
I run For The People and it's incredible when used correctly and when used correctly in a build.
-
If survivors are popping gens that fast, that's definitely on you and your ability in the killer role.
My advice? Either watch streamers play so you passively get better or, what I recommend, play survivor. Especially in higher ranks. You will learn so much that will help you become a better killer.
-
@Real_Cheesus said:
I don't think it's healthy for players to only use 10% of the game's content and actively ignore the rest. Pop, DS, and other staple perks NEED to be changed or other sub-par perks need MASSIVE buffs. Like huge ones.
Small game? Cleanse totems twice as quickly.
No Mither? ZERO grunts of pain as well as ZERO blood spilling
Saboteur? The first sabo you do each game eliminates that hook PERMENANTLY
This is not happening? Great skills checks reward TRIPLE repair/healing progression
Premonition? Shows you the aura of the killer for 5 seconds
Deja Vu? ALWAYS ACTIVE
I could go on. Haha
I was cool with all of these till the Sabo one. Imagine a four man all running sabo. Might as well as take us back to when it was first brought into the game and all killers really had were basement hooks.
-
Clown is not the weakest killer in the game. His ability to shut down loops is on par with Freddy.
Adrenaline is a waste of a perk slot.
Dead Hard is junk, too.
SWF groups aren't that bad to go against. They just throw themselves at the unhook.
-
But how do I get a extra role as a survivor on a hook 🤔
-
Vigil is a good perk when used in combination with Sprint Burst and Fixated.
Though his other perks .. meh.
-
Orrrrr you could not be a baby and play the game?
-
But why did you bother to pick him up. Slug him and move on. Even if they pick themselves up, they wasted Unbreakable and can't use it later. You keep your pressure and keep moving on.
-
Welcome to red ranks where your kit doesn't matter and all survivors run meta perks!
-
Freddy is fine where he's at. Much like The Doc, he takes a little more player skill to play against and survive chases. There's no mindless looping against the him because he can and will shut that down.
And you know what? That's a good thing. The game needs strong killers otherwise what's the point of even having the killer role?
