Kinda weird you preface defending Spirit by saying you're a killer main. Killers aren't the ones having a problem with Spirit...
He brought up his preference as did I.
I'm also consistently a rank 1/2 survivor and I have zero issues with any of the killers. Sure some are more boring than others but none are OP in the least bit.

Spirit definitely is too strong. My first ever game with her resulted in my adept at rank 1.
I am also a killer main saying this.
See I'm a killer main myself (rank one on both for whatever it's worth) and I still will say she's fine. It seems survivors wants to be able to play against all killers the same way and when something comes along that shakes up the meta, it's world breaking.
Spirit is fine where she's at. I look forward to going against anyone who plays her. It breaks up the monotony of going against Freddy every other game.

If you can show me videos of you consistently countering both I'll believe that. Running away from the loop can be bad for a few reasons, there are no loops near by, the loops are short, and he has a ranged attack, and he can zone you. He can put his sword in the ground now you have to dodge and weave which makes you lose distance and he can catch up and m
Saying have a good reaction time isnt valid argument or counterplay for Deathslinger. I'm a mediocre deathslinger and already have found out how to force you away from the pallet and just enough to shoot you. The thing that makes it uncounterable is that his shot is too fast. I find it hard to believe you can react to a less than a second quick shot. Also if you do "react" they dont have to shoot then you get zoned.
To sum up your counter to spirit is to make distance and hide? As soon as a stridor spirit gets the first hit you are dead there is nothing you can do. Saying "plan accordingly" isnt valid counterplay either explain. Just like saying make distance that works against every killer but what about when you cant and shes chasing you.
I mean I can easily. Stop by my stream sometime. I have done all of this and more many times and will continue to do so because these killers are simply not as bad as people make them out to be.
Pyramid Head, when doing his range attack, has such a big tell. You always know when he's going to do it and it's so incredibly easy to dodge. Add to that, it's so hard for him to turn while doing it. And if he's just trying to get you tormented, staying and watching him do it or simply not leaving while he does it just invites him to put you in a cage at best or Mori you at worst.
Deathslinger may not have a huge tell (his gun just comes up to ADS) but it's still very easy to dodge. Easier to dodge than hatches for sure. It's only a real problem when you're very close but at that point, youre already taking a hit one way or another.
Spirit is not a problem at all. She can still be looped. She can still lose you in a chase. You can still vault windows/ pallets and still stun her with a pallet or flashlight. This isn't a 50/50 gamble. This is fact. If she is "too strong" for you, maybe you need to work on your abilities and skills.

No killer is OP or broken.
Decisive Strike is fine where it's at.
DBD is balanced very well and is in the best state it's ever been in. I'm very optimistic for the future.
-
You see what you want to see on the forums and subreddit.
I play both sides about 60/40 killer to survivor but I see both sides complaining pretty equally.
-
Lately I've been listening to
Glass 2.0 by Meyhem Lauren
Sundowning by This Is Hell
Ripping/ Tearing/ Pulling by Chamber
Lulu and No One Mourns The Wicked - Conway The Machine
Oakland - Suffokate
-
All 3 killers that you are complaining about are fine and balanced. If you're getting hit by P.H's torment or special attack, you are definitely setting yourself up for it. If you're going to continue running the same loop, yours either going to catch a M1 or get torment applied to you. Leave the loop and run somewhere else. His rites of judgment is incredibly easy to dodge as well.
Deathslinger is even easier. If you're scared of getting pulled in, make sure you have objects in the field. Don't run in a straight line. Pre drop a pallet. Don't get me wrong, a very good D.S will hardly miss, but I find him to be an incredibly easy killer to lose in a chase.
I know a lot of people in the forums have an issue with Spirit but I have zero problems looping her or losing her in a chase. If I hear the whooshing, I assume she's coming to me and plan accordingly. I don't run so no scratch marks. If she is running stridor, I won't bother hiding I just make distance or vault a window/ pallet and keep moving.
All in all, these killers are fine and have more counterplay then I have mentioned. Your lack of an ability to lose them in a chase does not mean they have no counterplay, it means you are simply not good against them.
-
Been working fine for me. When I play survivor, 9/10 games have been great fun.
When I play killer I'm a Ghostface main and outside of one game where I was placed against clearly new survivors, I've been working for 3k - 4k
-
Without a doubt.
Furthermore you shouldn't be exposing a survivor unless you know without a doubt you can down them very quickly. Otherwise it's just a waste of a surprise tactic.

Killer main and I love Midwich.

Discordance for early game
Whispers for end game.

A couple of peeps have mentioned it's good on GF. GF is one of my main stabby bois so I'm going to have to try it on him but his stalk powers combined with Surge does on paper look like a...killer combination :D
That pun... I love it

Surge is definitely his best perk. Believe it or not, I find it incredibly strong on Ghostface.

You guys are doing awesome. This is a fairly toxic community and so you won't be able to please anyone. I'm excited for Chapter 17 already. Day 1 buy for me.
As for the topic. Billy is my main and I'll still use him. The tweaks are nice and he still fits my playstyle. I'd like to see Legion get a buff. Drop Frenzy in exchange for throwing knives.
Throwing knife legion
Stop I can only get so hard
-
Bro it's not that deep
-
I have him P3 and I think he is fine wheres he is at. If anything, I think he needs a more sensitive flick.
Pyramid Boy is a zone denier killer. His ability may have use in hurting survivors but i mostly use it to get a mini mori later on. Honestly, Pointy Head doesn't get enough credit for what he is capable of. My only hope is that in time, players on both sides come to see Triangle Man as a serious threat and not someone they can just mindlessly tunnel as.
-
Ghostface is my main so
PGTW
Surge
STBFL
Nurses Calling/ Infectious Fright (I go between these pretty frequently)
My second main would be Legion
Discordance
PGTW/ Ruin
Thana
Sloppy Butcher
-
Jason is a very single minded killer so something along the lines of fire up mixed with Myer's tiers but buffed
More gens that pop, the faster and stronger he becomes. When all gens are done, he's faster and not able to be stunned (or maybe a pallet limit to trigger a stun?) .
If all gens are done and there's only one survivor left, he can do a mini mori.
Just ideas.
-
Pyramid head is fine where he's at. We go through this every time a new killer is released.
Learn to play against him. See what works and what doesn't work. Can't expect all killers to be looped the same way.
-
I already loved using Franklin's if only because it's so much easier to down a survivor when you know 9/10 will try to loop you around the item they lost so they can grab it.
I love that perk so much and this change is perk.

We are similar, i was thinking about STbL would be good on him, how do you like it? I leveled up Myers just for that actually.
Also i think with swapping nurse would be for the best.
How is your early game without Intervention ?
STBFL is such a strong perk on him. Especially mid game when your stacks are already high. Plus, you can instadown your Obsession and only lose 2 stacks instead of 4.
My early game doesn't really suffer without Corrupt. Basically, when I spawn I just go to the other side of the map. Once I get close, I put myself into stalking mode and when I hear a gen being worked on, I just hide out around the corner from it and either get someone to 99 or just grab them off the gen.
-
Ghostface is my main for good reason. He's delightful to use and even go against since no two ghostface players play the same way.
What build are you using if you don't mind me asking? I currently am running
Surge
Pop Goes The Weasel
Thrilling Tremors
Save The Best For Last

For The People, Resilience, Borrowed Time, Iron Will
Basically, you're the combat medic. Someone gets hooked you rush for the save, use BT, heal em with FTP, and get the hell out before the killer gets you.
It's honestly my favorite survivor build. Second favorite is Hope, Fixated, Vigil, Sprint Burst.
-
Meanwhile when I play like, I'm red ranks vs red ranks.
-
Uhm I play killer and feel fine. Yeah sure I'll have a bad game every so often but it's just a game and I don't care enough to let it affect my (mental and physical) health?
If a game does that to you, you probably shouldn't play it?
-
Spirit was nerfed and had add-ons nerfed.
Freddy is fine where he's at. If anything, he needs a couple add-ons tweaked but he's no different than tombstone Myers when he has an add-on combo being used.

This doesn't look that good to me tbh. Feel my add-on suggestions are still better lol
Honestly sounds like a good add-on that can open a few different playstyles. When this add-on becomes a problem is when EVERY add-on is similar to this.
Remember it's okay to not have all S tier add-ons.

Play on Xbox
Killer is at 85
Survivor is at 80
-
I love the new map. It's literally the ultimate game of hide and seek. Even in high ranks, it's incredibly fun to play on.
-
Boring "killer" and design. I'd rather a killer who is actually scary not only on design but function.
-
Do bones
-
Uhh I'm red rank on Xbox. I do pretty well. Well enough to stay between rank 1and 2 consistently. I'll even post streams to prove it to you.
It all comes down to your actual skill level and ability to not only think on your feet but adapt to what it is happening.
Sure you'll still lose games. Hell I had a few games yesterday where I took 1 kill it I was lucky but that will happen regardless.
Don't give up if you do bad. Don't feel disheartened. Just try again with a different killer or a different build.
You'll get there.

I just had a game where the killer destroyed us so hard someone disconnected almost immediately. Killer still felt the need to kill me instead of letting me walk away with my crown. Was pretty bummed because if I was the killer in that situation, I'd just let them go. Guess not everyone's like me...
I mean, they're under no obligation to let you go?
-
Ghostface is my main without a doubt. Only character I have at P3.
But very handy with Legion, Clown, Pyramid Head, and Doctor.
-
Honestly you're right. They should take an Operation Health approach from R6: Siege and fix/ improve the bones of the game and engine. It would do a whole world of good.
But I believe that's what the engine update will (hopefully) address.

Especially because by time you even cross the map, whomever you have caged is 9/10 times saved and on the move.
Why even go to the cage? I never go for the cage, I just down someone else and send them to a cage.
That statement alone just tells me you and I play this game completely differently.
Never said I do🤔I was speaking in general.
And yes we do. Both in red ranks so must be doing something right 🤷♂️
-
I have yet to find this one
-
Map is fine. It's a great map to play on. Lots of little areas for survivors to duck into and plenty of places for killers to corner them.
PointyBoy is fine as a killer. He's definitely in a good place and I'm happy to have him.

Which kinda prove's my point. Those who are running pop are not taking advantage of his torment power and are the ones who find it never really does anything.
You can and will go games without being afflicted by torment if you know how to loop.
This is where we completely disagree, I find it stupid easy to get people into torment. I've yet to have a problem caging people, but I am going to assume you and I play the game completely differently. As I don't rely on slow down perks, so getting hooks isn't really required for myself. Technically I haven't spent 1 BP on him since release and have been playing him in red ranks all week without issue.
You have to learn when to cage someone. For example, I use the cage when I know it will force the survivors to have to go to the other side of the map. For example, when there is only 1-2 gens. and you know catching will send to a blank space in the map its perfect. I also use the cages to avoid stun saves and flashlight saves.
Caging is something that should be used at an optimal time. Let's say you hit 3 survivors with torment. Send one to a cage and one survivor goes for the save. That tormented did little to no pressure because now you lose two stacks of it. You could argue that it's one less person on gens since someone is going for the save buf you are still losing, arguably, the most important part of your power.
I find it way more effective to hook someone and save the torment for endgame/ quick Mori. Especially because by time you even cross the map, whomever you have caged is 9/10 times saved and on the move. I'd rather hook/ slug and keep the turning the screws without worrying about being down two torments.
In my opinion, just not worth it.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to reply to.
Though I would like to ask, how many of those killers ran perks like Pop? Because in my experience as playing him, I've had no problems getting people into torment/cages. And playing against him, I found most killers only really tried to use the cage mechanic if they were tunneling. Other than that they never really used the torment ability.
PS: To get someone tormented is crazy easy, you literally just put his crap on the other side of a window in a loop or under the pallet. The survivor than has to leave the loop which would generally give you time to BL and catch up or they get tormented and can be caged.
My build: Pop, Surge, Whispers, Infectious Fright
If someone gets Tormented by my dragging, I don't send em to the cage right away. I save it for end game when it's much more critical (when someone is on deathhook and it's more or less endgame)
I spend more time hooking people for my Pop to go into use.
Pyramid Head is fine where he's at. He has shaken up the meta for survivors and their upset about it. That doesn't change the fact that he's very easy to counter. You can and will go games without being afflicted by torment if you know how to loop. Sure you may go on a hook but that's the nature of the game.

To be clear, I don't care if cages support perks or not, it doesn't really matter to me either way. Now that is clear, I would like to point out a major difference here. As killer you choose to run a hex perk knowing it can be cleansed. As Triangle head, you can choose not to run hook related perks because you know you are playing Triangle head. Survivors do not know that info before the match starts, so yes their perks can be rendered useless without them knowing it. Its not the same as ruin, where it can be rendered useless but you enter the match with that knowledge. The closest we had to this before him was Plague, because she basically counters healing perks, however the game had a built in way to counter this that also powered up the killer. With Triangle Head, he just disables perks, there is no method to make those perks useful again.
Once again, I am merely pointing out a very important clarification and could care less either way.
The thing is, you can go a whole round without EVER being caged. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been caged since he's realized.
One time. That's in who knows how many matches as a survivor. I know this may not be the norm but it's laughably easy to pull off.
The cage is a nice feature to the game. It makes certain things more risky for survivors and helps add a level of tension
