Slight latency with you lunging into the animation frames.
my latency is 40-59 and the yuu-jin ping was 60, there's minimal latency between us, I got stunned after her animation which means she even finished head-on before I see it.
-
@CreamedTunaFan said:
Ya, head-on lasts forever now and I'm not sure what causes it. Dunno if they it's a latency thing or they made the effect of head-on linger longer then you think it really should.
I sometimes get even closer on the sides and this never happens, so why did it happen now? 20 cm range on the sides but 3 meters range in front with hitbox active after the animation?

I mean, I get that was bs, but did you really have to d/c at four gens?
yes, i'd rather wait 5 minutes and get my rank 1 back in the next instead of playing a BS match

Your latency is really bad. It's a connection issue not a glitch or anything.
40-59 ping every single game, find another excuse

Let me say 2 things before saying anything else.
1. Happy to see another trickster main (he is my second most used killer since his release)
2. You do not need those addons to make him "viable".
Ok, not to be rude towards those players but they weren't doing so good at early and mid match.
Since you are also a trickster main I assume you know those addons are basically his best addons, you can say that the exposed addon is decent but meh, I don't use it as much since I prefer to just spam daggers.
Great map you got there.
Honestly you did great, I know the struggles of using trickster a lot so props but yeah like I said, those survivors were not a good example of "these survivors are good", Clad proved to all of us that she was just average, Bill...... Just a Bill, Jake from what I could tell did not liked looping only holding W.
Oh another thing that I've noticed from my experience on using trickster, his power really relies on survivors doing a lot of dumb plays just like any killer but trickster can actually do slightly more harm.
Keep up using trickster, hopefully I get to play against you, I just want to play against more tricksters.
I want that too, the only ones i played against had no clue how to use their knives or was doing 2 meters windows hits all the time.
And thanks

Why the change of heart all of sudden?
I mean yeah you're a decent trickster but I'm pretty sure you're good with any killer that you put your hands on. And could have gotten the same results with any other killer vs those survivors.
I still think he's better than most of the community thinks of him, but he still needs lots of changes

I'm glad we have come to an agreement then. Especially you, as a Trickster main, should be welcoming towards buffs to your favorite killer.
I want buffs, I made 2-3 post about what i'D change for him, 1 was a whole basekit/add-on rework and another was melodious murder and the autograph being basekit (the second one by default would make him extremely better)
@whycantIwin said:
Base movement speed: 4.4M/s
Terror radius: 24M
Base kit: Showstopper
Start the trial with 40 blades (down from 60)
Amount of blade hits required remains unchanged
Wind up time unchanged, movement speed during the usage of showstopper remains unchanged.
Showerstopper blades will ricochet 1 time
Laceration meter: Does not decrease overtime
M1 on survivor having laceration meter remove 50% of the max laceration meter on regular hits (remove 4 blade hits)
Survivor with 7 blade hits (1 more blade hit to deal damage) the laceration meter will decrease by 1 after 15 seconds, taking 2 blades to injure the survivor.
Add-ons:
Common add-ons:
Trick pouch: reduced to 5 from 10
Memento blades: remains unchanged
Killing part chords: remains unchanged
inferno wires: increase main event duration by 1 second, stack
Uncommon add-ons:
Tequila moonrock: increase the main event duration by 1.5 second, stack
On target single: makes the survivors drop their item when put into the dying state by showstopper or main event
Lucky blade: slightly increase restock speed (0.5 second) stack
Ji-woon's autograph: remains unchanged
caged heart shoes: remains unchanged
Rare add-ons:
Waiting for you watch: survivors injured by showstopper or main event suffer from the mangled status effect
Ripper brace: moderately increase restock speed (1 second) stack
Melodious murder: remains unchanged
Fizz-spin soda: remains unchanged
bloody boa: reduced to 10 from 15
Very rare add-ons:
Trick blade: any blade hitting a survivor will ricochet to another survivor within a 10 meters radius from the main target dealing 50% damage to the second survivor, ricochet will always target the closest survivor. (does not stack with cut thru u single)
Edge of revival album: every blade hitting a survivor will cause a hindered (5%) status effect for 1 second, the hindered timer will increase depending on how many blades hit the survivor, hitting a survivor with a blade always refresh the timer and adds 1 second (hitting a survivor 3 times will cause a 3 second hindered effect, if reaching 0 the effect is removed, hitting a survivor 3 times and hitting them after 2 seconds will refresh the timer and add another second, making it 4 second hindered)
Diamond cufflinks: when you put a survivor into the dying state with showstopper or main event you see every survivors aura within your terror radius for 3 seconds
Cut thru u single: damage increased from 50% to 200% (double damage, does not stack with trick blade)
Ultra rare add-ons:
Iridescent photocard: Injuring a survivor with showstopper will not give survivors a speed burst, give you the haste status effect (10%) for 10 seconds after injuring a survivor with showstopper, you cannot put survivors into the dying state with showstopper
Death throes compilation: showstopper deals double damage on healty survivors, deals 50% on injured survivors, reduce your maximum carried blades to 20, reduce main event duration to 3 seconds, increase charges needed to activate main event by 2 (see below for main event changes)
MAIN EVENT:
Main event can be saved and activated at will, main event activates when you injure survivors with showstopper, removing a health state on survivors gives you a charge, takes 4 charges to activate main event, once main event is active you can use it whenever you wish.
Main event duration is 4 seconds, during main event, the Trickster suffer 0 movement speed penality and each blade does double damage and will ricochet to 1 nearby survivor dealing regular damage (trick blade dealing regular damage instead of 50%), add-ons that only affect showstopper will not affect main event, only add-ons specifically saying it also affect main event will affect main event.
There you have it, hope you like my Trickster 2.0, let me know what you think and see you in the fog.
that's my trickster 2.0

Alright..
Gunna put my two Cents on this topic.
They weren't Bad... But not the best either,
They made Plenty of mistakes that was Obvious..
Plus they never did nothing to progress gens after like two got done,
Average at best ngl..
1 gen was 99 since it was the last that was on this side of the map,
claudette was working on 1 gen near the coal tower while I was chasing bill which was arounf 65% completion, once bill unhooked jake they worked on a gen instead of healing like they always did and got the gen done, if they would have rushed the 99 gen there would have been 1 gen left but it would have been a 3 gen situation, the game was nearly done for them, the big mistake was they were constantly healing whenever they were unhooking someone and since I had monitor I've always managed to land a hit removing the progress, they were healing too much, that was the mistakes, also the basement was between 4 gens, hard to work when I am constantly around these gens.

Death Throes needs a change, without a doubt. I LOVE the idea of having an add-on that rewards good hits, but it just doesn't do it well. And yeah Trick Blades are ass.
Oh and also Edge of Revival and Cut U Thru is the best add-on combo for Trickster, period. Even better than Soda + USB.
how so?

The main issue with Trickster: having fun and being efficient without these 2 green add-ons
I mean you literally play another killer class with them (similar to Oni with/without Scalped Topknot add-on)
Playing without them is a real pain-in-the-ass feeling against good survivors on any Trickster suboptimal map oOo
I played a few games without melodious murder and godamn! I still win but wow it's a different story

@Hermit said:
Ok, I have to wonder, are these your usual red rank survivors? Did these games take place on NA servers by any chance ;) ?
First game: survivors did zero gens, ok, one when the game was already over. Weak perks and equipment.
Second game: 2:20 for the first gen, then they need another FIVE minutes for the next gen; one meta build survivor.
You could had played add-on less trapper or... one-handed without headphones, the outcome would have been the same. The survivors lost by not even trying to play the objective.
Third game: Ok, maybe half of their teams at least knows what a generator looks like and they know what the meta perks are. But still, second gen popped after 4 minutes. Four minutes for two gens?
No amount of map pressure will generate those gen times, this is on solely the survivors.
I know a lot of people rank Trickster lower than he deserves. He is not D, E or even F tier. I'd say he is around Clown level: one chase power, some outplay at pallets and no map mobility.
But these games you uploaded, man, be happy about the server and the time of day you are able to play ;)
only the third match the survivors knew slightly what they were doing, I didn't select 3 games i had the best experiences, these 3 games in a row, but i'll make a part 2 of this with only good survivors, If i ever get some.

absolutely, I didn't select the best game I had out of 10, it was 3 games in a row and that's what I got, the first survivors were grey ranks in purple while the second match they were yellows in purple as well, only the third match were they slightly better, but I will select the best survivors matches next, i'll make another 3 gameplay videos with only really good survivors and different add-ons

don't know if you've seen it but Otzdarva was getting top players to vs his comp friends and comparing the killers to each other.
you should get in touch with him and put your 1% trickster up against 1% survivors and see how well you do.
won't be that easy to contact him I imagine, I will record more gameplay with different add-ons and only save those with good survivors, after that I could try but I doubt it would work

what is his own set of things he is good at
small terror radius, can throw blades in your face and when you are injured he keep throwing them at you which make you almost unable to get to a safe loop and if you manage it you already threw many knives which will only require 1-2 knives to down them which you couldn't with huntress since survivors gain more distance and also DS even tho he brings them back to him, loops aren't safe at all and since he doesn't require a hit like DS he constantly keep throwing his knives even in safe loop while huntress often can't do anything about and DS need to shot and reload which can allow survivors to gain distance and get into a real loop protecting themselves from DS.
Only long walls are safe loops from trickster

Fair enough. I just think you could have a better perk on that slot. I use it on Deathslinger as well because his speargun actually counts as a M1, but Trickster has a special attack that just like Huntress has a very minimal cooldown, so STBFL value won't be that great.
Still played great though.
thanks

Well if the top %1 of Tricksters aren't very good at Trickster, I'm not sure if their opinion of Trickster should be that worthy of being taken into account.
Trickster is a killer that throw blades fast and has recoil and need to track survivors movement pretty well, huntress has 1 big hatchet that goes really fast and requires 1 hit, trickster requires 8 hits (7 with the add-on) obviously you'll miss some blades because of walls and other things covering the survivors, this killer isn't meant to pay attention to your shots, you have 60 blades, you can waste them trying to hit survivors, you can't with huntress but she injures right away, it's not about landing every single blades that makes you 1% trickster, it's when to use it, land enough at the right places to get quick downs and apply lots of pressure since most of the usually safe loops are totally unsafe, even when huntress can have a hard time at some of the loops which trickster does not, trickster is harder to play than huntress since he requires continuous tracking while huntress require some patience to throw it at the right place when they try to dodge you. a big loop which has long walls is a pain for trickster and can take away your progress while huntress you simply follow until you have a clear shot for 1 hatchet.
You are obviously trolling anyway so this discussion ends here, good day

Hit more than 25% of your knives. I dare you.
If this is "top 1% Trickster gameplay" then my belief that he's a training wheels version of Huntress has been further cemented.

My god you have some of the most "chill" survivors living in your matchmaking area. Your sound is also edited to hell with software to "cheat"
My mic was on which I forgot to disable, this is why you hear that sound when there's no music of much sounds effect
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Why use STBFL? Basically all of your first hits comes from knives so I don't get the benefit of the perk. Mind you I only watched the majority of the 3rd video.
I don't always get value out of it but if they are close to me in thight space I can get 1 stack and get all the value later on, and if I have many tokens I can use my power sooner, I use it on deathslinger as well, so I can reload faster and shot faster or hit and shot faster.
Is it a needed perk? no, but it's a good perk nonetheless on him, in the first and third video I have more value out of it

I've seen so many people try to play him like Huntress at short loops and sacrifice hits over blades. You played well! You definitely know the best times to use his blades.
thanks :)
-
@Brokenbones said:
The green USB addon drastically changes his power, not trying to discredit what you're saying but it does make him much more tolerable and easier (not in a bad way) to play well
You might think 'oh it's one less knife to down, surely that's not a massive difference' but when you factor in the oppertunities you have to pelt survivors with knives, how many of them can be avoided by survivors playing well and moving side to side and the general increase of speed/pressure it gives you, it's insane.
it's true it's a massive difference, I could remove it but I have 50 of those and since they are so good I have no reason to take it off
-
it is broken, doesn't change the fact I land my blades and use his power effectively, I could miss all my blades
-
@AVoiceOfReason said:
The best way to use the knives are just to use them mainly in the open or at extended loops to wear a survivor down. Never use them like Huntress trying to snipe someone around a pallet due to the 8 knives requirement. In the open, you can REALLY mess people up quickly lol.
Exactly, it works really well at those places

Youβre using the best addons. Theyβre both green and not sustainable to run every game.
In my eyes, a Killer is only good if theyβre viable without addons or just brown ones
did I really needed the add-ons anyway?
idc about "killers being good only if they don't need add-ons" you obviously don't play killer at all for thinking this, add-ons improve the killer, why stay stuck with the base kit if you can improve it and have more fun? we all think differently, you have your ways of thinking what a good killer is, everybody else has their own.

Camping is boring.. if you need to camp or proxy on a killer then they are literally dumpster tier.
I think you need to camp only if you are a bad killer OR the gates are open and you have 1 person on the hook, you want to secure that kill, you can't blame the killer for that.

he's weak in my book, and the zombies need a boost in wide open maps

This one was a good sport but I tend to get camped after I do this which I kinda understand since getting 1-2 hooks all game is disheartening.

I personally use monitor, STBFL, bbq and ruin
