i'm at rank 15 and around half of my killer games end-up as either me getting rolled buy a coordinated survivor team witch ends in me having a really boring match. without perks like hex ruin and pop-goes the weasel or even all of the killers i find there is really not much i can do except get rolled. i'm asking for any non toxic tactics in helping combat these well put together teams please and thank you.

Which killers/perks do you have available? I have some really effective builds but they won't secure more than a 1 or 2 kill which is fine because most SWF that are that coordinated consider a single kill a loss and will try to get all 4 out above all else.

  • I usually bring an ivory Mori and try to tunnel map guy early... also it is much more satisfying to also bring franklin's demise and try to hit them mid pallet vault or get a hit during a pallet drop. If you leave the pallet unbroken the item is not reachable. I still bring an ivory because using franklin's effectively in time is lucky.

So... idk what time zone you're in but for me in Eastern time, any time before approximately supper time the Survivor queues are fast and after that killer queues are fast. I don't know exactly why that happens, I just know that it does. So, if I play Survivor early on the weekends and Killer late in the day I always have fast queues.

That's exactly what I experience and I'm US mountain time... Killer ques are instant between 7ish pm til 5ish am and the time in between survivor ques are instant. Seems like the wait time gets worse the farther you get from those prime times i.e. killer at 6 am is like 3 mins, killer at noon is 10 mins+... I wonder why this is.

  • I like it... I'm patient. All the body blocking in your face tbags due to unlimited invulnerability will be fine. I don't mind waiting for a bleed out. Or slug n ignore til next hook...

No, DS can be used one time per player. And you only get to use DS if you're getting tunneled or if you're playing ballsy. So the truth is, even if all 4 survivors bring DS, the killer can play in a way so that DS is never used in the match.

And we were not talking about moris at all. Why bring them up? If you think they are fair because "mUH bALancE" then you are just an entitled killer main who wants to win every single match. It's not what multiplayer games are about. Cheers.

There have been a lot of times recently that I haven't gotten to use pop more than 1 or 2 times per match. As soon as I'm carrying to the hook 1 gen gets done then another while running to it. Even at 60 seconds a gen needs to have progression to regress it. Idk if it's a strategy with SWF or just bad luck. Sorry to quote you as this is mostly unrelated... I didn't notice til near the end.

  • Most would be to the detriment of the other side though... I believe Otz could balance better than most, he's very smart and analytical. However, just coming in on a rant that the game is frustrating is not helpful. Are you killer? Are you survivor? Is it SWF that ruins your fun? Is it camping?

Just saying it's frustrating in general could only refer to rng or builds not matching the trial you face. Believe me, every time I switch rift goals because it'll never line up, the next match meets my prior needs. It is frustrating. But necessary with as many personal choices we get.

  • None of this is against any rules. Yes, it makes your game miserable but it's a viable play style.

If he were truly camping and tunnelling and got a 4k, then the survivors were far too altruistic.

    Punish campers by:

Getting as many gens done as possible while he's camping. And if YOU'RE being camped, stay still and if it persists to the struggle phase, struggle as long as possible to give time to complete gens.

If nobody is trying for the save because your obviously being camped, they are doing the right thing. Help them punish camping by giving them time.

Maybe it doesn't deserve its succes, but it obtained it by having no real competitors. At this point I legit think devs believe a game full of negativity, frustration and toxicity is a good game lol,no wonder the community is so fed up with them, going from the casual players to streamers and so on.

I think bhvr didn't expect the game to be this succesful and now the see themselves into a situation that overwhelm them if you ask me.

I guess dbd is too much for them to handle at this point. But its their game in the end and they either slowly crash and burn or turn this game into what its supposed to be by listening the community, many have good ideas devs just refuse to listen to.

Listen to the WHOLE community??? That is not possible as not many killer and survivors agree on anything. Exactly what are you referring to? What should they do? Be specific.

Mcote literally said in that interview that "this game drives on frustration. You're supposed to be like, [raising a hand in the air] 'Ugh!'."

I don't find there to be a barrier breakdown in language or translation. He spoke very clearly and very well about what gamers should expect from their game.

Because of the random nature involved in your build... Whether killer or survivor. You cannot prepare for every type of match. You may build for a perfect survivor match against the DR. and end up playing against the trapper. As killer you may set up for gen rush and get a depip flashlight squad.

Frustration is part of it due to your own assumptions pre match. Fixing that turns the game rather bland.

  • I think this thread turned into another me vs you... I believe the OP had the intention of bringing a certain type of toxic behavior to light. I, like most of you commend him/her in opening up and sharing about their hardships. I don't however, believe the comments suggesting to get thicker skin were a defense to the toxic behavior. The fact is, online you do have a certain amount of anonymity therefore you will always have people venting their own life problems in a vulgar way. So "grow thicker skin" probably meant to not give it any thought... The people who said it didn't think about it longer than it took the hit the send icon. You are giving the troll too much of your precious time by referencing them. However, I feel this was more of a PSA and awareness post so it is time well spent.

it's in the PTB patch notes as a fix, apparently they never intended it to reveal on first skill check to begin with and it's just taken them a very long time to get around to fixing it, but I still believe that it falls short of the mark on when it should be revealed via notifications. Also they are updating (read "Nerfing") Huntress Lullaby to only affect Healing and Repair Skill checks, all others like Struggle (Cage struggle phase), Jigsaw Boxes, Madness (snap out of it), and apparently even Overcharge (which I always thought counted as a repair skill check) will be unaffected by it's reduced timings and 6% greater penalty effects.

Here's the PTB patch notes link:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/243-4-3-0-ptb

Thank you! I'm stoked they're changing the notification timing but you're right it should be as you suggested. Nerfing the overcharge skill check regression really ruins the main reason it was a favorite perk of mine. I always used it with OC because they'd ignore it til 3 tokens, then progress would nearly stop til it was found. It was like ruin but interactive rather than passive.

  • @TWiXT said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1664347#Comment_1664347

I'm saying that while the upcoming change to when it reveals itself to survivors via notifications is a step in the right direction, it falls short of the mark. The reveal occurring after the first hook/1 token earned is better than how it is now wherein it reveals on the first skill check (regardless of if they succeed or fail it), but it also misses the point of hex perks revealing themselves once they affect the survivors. In this case, Huntress Lullaby doesn't actually do anything to affect survivors until they fail a skill check, so having it reveal itself once it gains 1 token is akin to old Devour Hope. Old DH used to be like that; it informed survivors of its presence as soon as 1 token was earned, but for the sake of balance they changed it to only reveal once it reaches 3 stacks and it's effect of exposing everyone became active. Huntress Lullaby doesn't do any damage or have any profound effect on survivors until they start failing skill checks, so I'm arguing that for the sake of balance, it shouldn't be revealed to survivors until they actually start failing skill checks, and I'm stating that the devs should've made this change to it instead of the one they went with.

I just didn't know they were actually changing it coming up. Where do you find this info? I am just curious because I'm always behind on such info. I am ecstatic they're changing it at all as it's one of my favorite perks (the 2% of the time it stays up long enough) I'm just curious where I can get more up to date info.

  • So are you privy to an actual change coming which will alert after 1 hook? Or was this a prediction of next change?

  • Sadly they don't realize that this "pleasing the masses" mentality is killing their own game. The look at cold numbers and respond accordingly. Those numbers are the player base. More players main survivors than killers. However, every time they make a change based on number of people they please they are widening the gap. More concessions to survivors, more killers quit. Eventually the game will need killer bots to keep survivors from complaining about long lobby times.

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

More people need to start doing this, the amount of arguments I've seen about a killer due to the lack of experience they have against them/playing as them is insane.

It's obvious I'm mainly referring to deathslinger here, but this also applies to hag, PH, etc, you know them killers.

Just before I get called out, this does NOT mean I'm trying to say "Oh you're just bad against X killer, git gud". Some killers have some mechanics that are annoying, in fact every killer has something that can be deemed annoying, I hate michael and pig, the killers that are seen as the most "fun" in the game.

But do not complain about something that is caused by your lack of experience playing as or against the killer.

And even, if a killer is annoying you, play that killer and see if you find anything such as strategies, that could help against said annoying mechanic. Don't assume that you're some survivor god who knows everything and all possible outcomes against that killer, as it's likely that there's a main of that killer that knows 100x more than you.

    Amen!

You making a strawman. I'm red rank and you don't win games by "just" tunneling. Red rank survivors will not allow it most of the time.

"smacked everyone off hook over and over" - you gotta be total noob and haven't played in red ranks if you think that you just smack everyone off hook. There is BT and DS to deal with. And you can't just stay next to hook and wait for someone to unhook. You need to have game sense to predict when unhook will happen. For that you need to be aware at all times what everyone is doing and know how prioritize tunneling (hook pressure) vs gen pressure. I find you view incredibly naïve and feel there is no point in wasting my time explaining things that you will not understand until you rank up. Go watch Hexy tournament replay and you will have much better understanding of high level game play.

Just the phrase "red rank survivors won't allow it" says SO much. Entitlement much? I've got a red rank slinger build for ya... Try to stop me all 3 of you not about to be killed... For a minute

  • @xXCAM3R0NXx said:

*I'm re-making this post due to my point being unclear as such. *

Ive played against many tunnelers, as I'm sure most of you have aswell, and alot of them seem to think it's some sort of 'Skill'. I've even had people message me saying 'It's called being skilled' and many similar messages.

Now Im not saying you shouldn't tunnel, because I cant control you can I? But I don't know which part of hitting the same person over and over again has skill.

Skill is something you are good at and it can be learned from other people. However it's not unique to be able to hit the same person again...everyone can do it...It isn't some sort of mastery.

I believe tunneling should only occur when your doing really poor, such as no kills/Gen rushed/Toxic swf players. Ive played killer, and I know how annoying it is to do really bad and not get a single kill, all killers want at least ONE kill.

The fact I've seen red ranks use this and claim 'Your the closest person', no s**t sherlock I just got off the hook near you, I'm not going to be across the map am I?

At the end of the day, I'm not saying DON'T TUNNEL YOUR RUDE YOUR UNFAIR. I'm saying, don't brag and think your really good because you tunneled a 4k.

You may get tonnes of points which is true, but don't call yourself a skilled killer, spare me the bs *yawns*

That's the equivalent of saying you should start a new gen every time you're pushed off one. Same concept, you go back finish your gen to get closer to escape. If I "tunnel" I can finish progressing a survivors death faster. That leaves 1 less survivor to do the same gen after being pressured off.

Are you going to stop "tunneling" gens?

  • Bubbahotep... Then Bruce Campbell could voice another survivor.

Map could be the nursing home or elvis's house...

  • They can't because they are not remotely the same.

I main Slinger but regularly play PH too. Pyramid head negates all maneuvering in jungle gyms an loops as his M2 passes through walls. Take the pallet scenario: if you're injured and vault a pallet, Slinger can shoot you but only apply deep wound as he can't physically m1 you. PH could put you in a dying state even if he waits til you turn by leading you a bit and fires through a wall.

Slinger punishes people for making mistakes in dead zones. And from what I've seen, most people get the saltiest when you shoot them tbagging the exit gate and they die.

PH just had to follow your pattern to punish you in any situation.

  • @Zerobrs said:

im pretty sure this is able to be done on any map but certain maps dont allow you to literally blink through the exit gates control panel due to sometimes rubbish or clutter being in the way so YES most maps this can happen BUT i do not care if this has been in the game since launch that doesnt make it any less of a bug it only breeds toxic gameplay for either side getting stuck their behind the gates before its A PLAYABLE AREA is unfair and a huge time waster to someone just trying to swipe someone opening the gates and you cannot walk out you must wait for blink to come up again while survivors get free reign to do anything they wish AND AS A KILLER it can be toxic due to the fact you can hide behind the gates before they are even powered if you wanted to just slug one person and force them to die or if it were only 2 survivors how is that fair to survivors trying to open the gate??? again its an area unplayable to everyone INCLUDING THE NURSE just because you can blink back there early does not mean you can play the game behind a NON powered exit gate so someone grab a dev to look into this please

First of all it didn't just happen. YOU had to blink her there... Considering you can blink back out, it's exactly the same as whiffing a blink through a wall and going nowhere or overshooting a blink and ending up past the jungle gym you aimed for. They all start with the player whiffing a blink and all waste a little time.

I'd suggest maining a different killer if you're prone to not learning from mistakes and getting angry about it.

The nurse takes a lot of patience, self analysis of play and losing matches to master.

  • Ummmm... She can blink past any exit gates. I know, #########! There's a trick to fix it though:

    Step one: blink back out.

Step two: rinse off salt and resume game.

  • Get bored and decide to fish a little bit?

    Very good bait.

  • All very valid points.

However, his POV is somewhere in his groin area... This makes mind games impossible because from the survivors view he's average height so they can see everything you do in short loops and you can't even see over vault-able windows.

  • Bravo😂😂😂

Haven't laughed like that in a while.

So? Everyone does everything they can to survive. As long as he treats us ok and is enjoyable, I'll continue watching him.

    I agree.

Content creator's get stressed out too. I know, I know, "he gets paid to play video games blah blah"... He is still a creator and entertainer. Sometimes those guys need a break too. I'm sure what he does is much harder than most of these people know. I wish some of these haters were taught the "walk a mile in their shoes" mantra my folks passed on to me.

  • I used the spirit ultra rare add-on that gives you insane speed during phase walking at the cost of not seeing scratch marks... For the first 6 to 10 minutes of the match, scratches ONLY showed up while phase walking. Then poof, all good again.

The first match I played after bug fix patch: I hit (m1) a survivor as the Deathslinger on his own map at the gen on top of the gallows, and got stuck like Myers in the shaky locker animation. Then to top it off they finished the gen, the floor dropped out (which I was waiting for, hoping to un-glitch) and I fell about 3 feet and was stuck there...

They just updated the models for both gens and lockers, and now the cause glitches... Did they update the way scratches look or something too?

  • I see them often enough to get irritated.

But yes, not nearly every SWF is the toxic bully squad type. However I think when people do complain about SWF it's because of those matches. I hate when they use OoO with coms. That's also toxic IMO.

    >Ignorant

I'm not ignorant about anything, If I cared enough. I could gather a sample pool size for proving that P.C players generally do not like playing with console players and feel near/or the same.

    >Arrogant

It's not arrogance, when the actual thread is about the opinion of an "arrogant" console player. Unfortunately, I cannot pull the winn0rates of conole/PC users. But if you'd like to conside it arrogant that I believe that PC would be much higher, then that's your buisness."

    >Bigoted.

I don't think you know what that word means, because if you did, you'd realize it doesn't apply to this conversation. As I am not agasinst being proven wrong [However very very unlikely that I would be.] Nor do I hate console players or am intolerant. I personally just don't want to play with them because they lack the skill and the ability to keep up comparitively.

It was 'ignorant' to assume a console player doesn't have the weighted opinion as pc.

It was 'arrogant' to place yourself and your opinions above someone else as a fact.

Both of those statements prove the fact that you are bigoted.

You also 'seem' to be a narcissist and an elitist.

Please don't reply by acting like you are teaching ME definitions when the "definitions" were actually just you repeating your first post in segments.

Wow... Your coming on a little strong there tiger. Whether pc has advantages due to M+K or console have more controlled 360 jukes... These aren't representative of the quality of the player.

PC is used to their way. Console is used the theirs. Neither is better or worse, it just seems worse because it's not what we're used to.

    That out of the way.

You make the pc community sound like ignorant arrogant biggots when you say things like a PERSON'S opinion is 1/4 as important as pc players because of their system🤨🤭.

Better ask the pc community before just speaking for the lot, especially with such little thought and respect.

Getting tired of these type of survivors...

The if the If Deathslinger has aimbot, i should be able to counter his aimbot survivor.

My perfect looping should be able to keep any and all killers at bay for all 5 gens because MY FUN is all that matters survivor.

The 1080x1080 and reshade with red light filters to maximize the killers beam survivors.

You want to know what is truly boring? a 4 stacked survivor squad on coms running ds, bt, dead hard, and x perk.. usually unbreakable

The games are obvious, the tactics are obvious but what can you do when they just tell each other everything?

Amen! God forbid a game evolve beyond running in circles and using hooks only.

I feel like it's the survivors that have so many hours in game that a 4man already has an undefeatable plan going in... To ensure all 4 survivors escape. And anything that makes them alter that plan is blasphemy! "I've got thousands of hours, I'm supposed to be able to escape just like always... Killers have no right to mess up my fun".

Adapt with it. It's challenging yes, but varying gameplay is a great thing for a game this old.

  • I'll will camp loosely during end game because I have no better goals to go after. I do patrol the vicinity and don't face camp.

If a specific survivor is incredibly toxic (as in tbagging every vault, spamming flashlights while I'm in another chase, body blocking a lot etc) I'll stand on their toes til they die... I will not even fret the other escapes. Toxics are priority.

We need context... The still frame gives no info. Was it after gens were done? Were you the designated flashlight clicker etc?

Not ideal I know, but it seems to be a workaround for now.

That combo is nuts. Retribution will activate at least twice (Undying then Retribution). They cannot avoid cleansing because Ruin. When they cleanse, there's a good chance that

    1) they cleansed Retribution and now I can snowball.

    2) they cleansed Undying, I get Retribution, I snowball.

    3) they got Ruin, I get Retribution, I snowball.

    4) Undying is still active and either of the two other totems jumps to a remaining dull.

Plus I can defend my totems better than TOTH.

I'm only green ranks so idk if it'd be as powerful in high ranks but my new favorite combo is:

    Undying/Ruin/Huntresses lullaby

I've had amazing results. In the past lullaby was always cleansed before I could get more than 1 token. But holy crap when you do get 4 to 5 you can see missed skill checks everywhere. I did this build on the doc with unnerving presence as my 4th... I still feel guilty lol. Once I got 3+ tokens, survivors were literally just screaming every few seconds trying to land the "snap out of it" skill checks. Led to 1 kill and 3 dc's.

    I honestly felt bad.

I'm not badmouthing anyone. Stating fact that can be backed up of things that he has said is not "badmouthing".

Nothing you've stated could be construed as fact. Yes, tru3 has said he believes he faces strong squads more regularly than most. But if you ACTUALLY watched him (which I doubt because of an obvious disdain you use for him. I don't watch tubers I don't like...) You'd see most he faces are extremely coordinated and fast.

I'm not saying he's amazing to everybody, but to myself and the OP he is a badass killer. You don't have to agree. I believe "amazing" is a relative term people can use based on opinion without distorting facts.

  • Just drop em pick right back up and hook... Worked for me every time.

  • When the update first dropped I saw mostly pc complaints and console was ok... I can verify that on ps4 my game ran smoother than I've seen in months. I even tried most of my most troubled killer/map combos and was very pleased with the performance.

Now... It is chugging bad, regardless of which killer. Earlier I had a match as blight on Yamoaka and it played amazing. I just got a repeat match (but other Yaomoka variant, although I don't believe it matters) and it was unplayable. I just rebooted game and disconnected and reconnected to internet. I'll report back after a couple matches.

    PS4 regular 1tb is system.

  • @DBD78 said:

I think he probably could be fun when you learn how to play him. I played two games and simply could not understand how to controll him. Perhaps with controller he is even harder, but I was so so bad with him. It was almost as trying to learn Nurse from scratch lol.

I think his dash is supposed to be awkward, he does cover ground fast and he's 115%(reg) speed when just m1 attacking (which I call R2ing...ps4😋). Plus I imagine it's comical looking to survivors. Win win.

  • @ZCerebrate said:

After 5 threads talking how underwhelming and frustrating it is to play him... I've played about 7 matches with him just now, managed Adept with 0 addons at R1 and now been messing around with all of his NEW REWORKED addons since PTB just to see their viability one by one. Sure, people don't know how to deal with him yet but neither do people really know how to play him that well either... sort of the point of day 1 of a new chapter.

Things I've noticed that many folks seem to not understand or just choose to overlook:

    1) Mobility around the map with him is extremely strong and honestly allows you to patrol certain generator paths that even Hillbilly wouldnt be able to do just because you can bounce - slide strafe like a full meter around it then continue on your path. This often results in free Lethal Rush hits that IS NOT the equivalent of hillbilly cross map chainsaws (but those were mostly luck based anyway) due to having much more control on avenue of approach and even bouncing to the window they want to vault and smacking them.

    2) It is fairly easy to land lethal rushes mid chase if you AREN'T trying to end loops with it immediately but making use of transition time that survivors have to make. If I had to state a weakness then a series of connecting pallet loops and windows like on Ormond or Hawkins would be... but there are plenty of killers who aren't have trouble with those maps too (Honestly a map balance issue that should be addressed rather than various killers).

The semi short lunge and 60~ degree (It definitely doesn't feel like 90 degrees even if I swing my mouse hard) max turn radius is the only clunky feeling part about it but if they gave the ability for full 180s he would be unloopable in a majority of the map. Zone the survivor onto the far side of a pallet loop, kick the pallet and you WILL usually get a lethal rush hit before they make it to the next area, effectively creating dead zones.

For this reason, asking for an instant down on Lethal Rush (except maybe some condition based pink addon) is bananas and just announcing outloud that you probably shouldn't be discussing game balance. Certain jungle gyms especially on new Yamaoka Estate (PS map is much brighter now and I love it) may be hard to navigate but still managabe.

    3) Low perspective for a killer who doesn't fully seem that hard to spot like Hag may be a minor downside - you're still patrolling at breakneck speeds to cut people off who leave generators early. I would say that his ability sort of forcing you to keep looking in certain directions makes it much harder to play against Spine Chill but I'll be up for trying him out with M&A more often.

    4) I have almost not noticed a moment where I was screaming in my head "I really wish I had my power back right now..." because unlike Ghostface's base cooldown of 30s - even without addons the cooldown and charge replacement time is completely reasonable. The stun is definitely a downside but it's nothing nearly as stifling as playing nurse and missing double blink strikes due to Dead hard. To me he feels like a Single Blink Nurse with higher base mobility and even an ability tied for exerting map pressure (that has less of a drawback stun in exchange for not keeping everyone constantly hurt Like Legion.

    ----------

I will reiterate that my experience on him is limited so far on day 1 and he is by no means an "OVERPOWERED OMGEL" tier given he doesn't offer tracking, 1 hit down lethality or stealth (and that you should be thinking when it is appropriate to M2 during chases... go figure) but his skill floor is not nearly as unobtainable to play at a reasonable level to 3~4k level as he is now. If I had a single complaint about his Lethal rush is that it should completely count as a Basic Attack for applying effects Sloppy, Surge and other effects because the STBFL playstyle seen on Doctor and Demogorgon just doesn't appeal to me personally and limits build options if that is "optimal".

That was very long so I just skimmed it. I think he is tons of fun... Idk how people complain about playing a pinball killer that still has 115 speed... He's awesome and amazingly fun.

I usually only play survivor and on the maps i've seen lag with it's pretty much all of them. None of them run in 60 anymore at least for me and that's the biggest deal as I enjoyed having this game run at 60 for most of the time I never really saw performance problems that often before the update but again I only have 74 hours into the game. (Which is still about a couple weeks worth of playtime when I would play daily) The performance degrade is extremely hard for me to get skill checks as a survivor main... it's 50/50 on whether or not i'll be able to even land a skill check now. It just feels slower now, and the main reason I know that is because of my lack of being able to land skill checks as often as I could before the update.

Obviously it'll run better on the newer consoles but still... kinda sucks for now. It shouldn't be an excuse to have poor frames for now on current consoles just because it'll run better for next gen. It should still be playable for the one x and the pro performance wise because when next gen releases it won't be fair... not to mention they added cross-platform which is useless unless you have good frames and your not worried about it.

My ps4 isn't even pro. I am not super techy and I'm not sure how to check my frame rate on console. I just played as freddy on hawkins and had no issues except a glitch where it would keep restarting the hooking animation until they could wiggle free. Only on a hook near the exit. For the most part everything runs much smoother than any game since silent hill came out. Maybe my fps are lower and that's why it's running better on my end...

On one x how do you check frame rate?

  • @Jaxton2000 said:

Personally not sure how people are saying it's running smooth. I'm on a one x and the frames went from 60(Before the update) to 30. Now my console is also running fans really loudly which in my almost 2 years of owning it, it has never ever done and it surprised me when I heard them kick on so loudly. Not sure where this smoothness is that people are talking about but i'm kind of not sure about even playing it right now with the worry of it possibly overheating my console.

I'm ps4, played as blight on coldwind, Yamoaka and badham, looks great.

Curious... Are you killer or survivor? What maps have looked laggy/chuggy?

Before update I couldn't play freddy on lamkin lane. Couldn't play wraith on most levels, and demogorgon or Oni on coldwind or hawkins because my fps were so low it would stutter any time a chase started.

So which maps and killers/survivors are you seeing issues with?

  • Can anyone verify that this platform can spawn a hook on top? I've played well over 100 games on dead dawg saloon and never saw a hook up top of that platform... Plus as the generator completes parts of the floor drop out which logistically doesn't leave room for a hook let alone enough room to navigate a hook or unhook to my recollection.

@ThatOneGuy: Where/how was this hook positioned exactly?

Trying to get a rough picture in my head. Because the report may need to be a map glitch report.

Also if all other gens are done, technically your objective is to escape. There are 7 gens...

  • Ummm I'm pretty sure the OP is trolling and just naming every toxic killer behavior, in order to see how many people say it's not toxic.

I can say this, using a disguised hypothetical post while posed as a killer to try to prove killers find reasons to justify those behaviors is toxic. So yes if the story is true 🥱, that was obviously toxic... If not true as I suspect, YOU are just toxic to the community.

  • Although he seems kind of ridiculous at a glance, I am excited that he'll add a fun (if somewhat goofy) new ability that looks like even survivors may enjoy... I'm at 8, because I see fun for both sides of the trial.

Well, probably that wasn't too obvious. Was more formulated like a typical "you have this problem, I have that problem, so get over it unless my problem is solved" whjich is not uncommon on this forum

Really, quite honestly it was intended to make a few people laugh, and ease tension. I thought Yamoaka was pretty universally known as the disappearing survivor map lol. I know when I play killer on Yamoaka, I see some people blend into the environment so fast mid chase that David Blaine would be impressed.

The joke was that they "camp" gens on Yamoaka because they never need to run... Just duck in the grass lol. I'm a killer main, and I actually chuckle when I'm out on Yamoaka... I may not do well, but it'll still entertain me.

I apologise if my initial post seemed edged. That was actually the opposite of my goal.

So what does this contribute to the thread? Or should we read between the lines that you want to be allowed to force death on first hook because you dislike "genrush"?

It was meant to ease tension and contribute levity, the fact that everything blends in Yamoaka... if you want to over analize it, it was a comment on a specific map design... But still just for levity. Is humor not allowed on the forum? If so, I'll turn to a condescending, assuming person like you... Wouldn't wanna break the rules
