Did you pull this statistic out your ass?
-
I don't understand why Kate is being put into either polls. She literally got 2 new skins in less than a month and she's also getting a new one pretty soon.
-
No, they honestly shouldn't. But Vigil should allow you to recover from exhaustion while running, but obviously at a decreased rate.

How were you surviving without doing gens then?
I was surviving some games but not all. Which is why I just brought a FL every game and ######### with the killer. I escaped some games, but that was because I found hatch or I got paired with a genrushing 3 man.
-
This may be really unexpected coming from me, but this patch wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Aside from the bad killers getting free downs because of bloodlust, my survivor games, which were in SWF and solo btw, weren't that bad. Maybe because I wasn't focusing on gens as much.
-
It's not any better when survivors who are actually good at looping get punished because the devs decided buffing bloodlust was the right choice instead of removing it all together.

I think you misread something, I didn't say I was struggling to kill, I told the guy, that tunneling is not as efficient strategy anymore as he thinks.
You're wasting more time going for unhooked survivor, rather than going for another one who reparing a gen.
For you to understand, the only struggle I was having with M1 killers is DH for distance. Now it's gone, and look. My mindgames matter now.
Who won the mindgame - won the chase. No more won the mindgame - lost to DH anymore.
I almost lost a match with 0 kills while tunneling
The use of the word almost implies that you were just barely able to get a kill in this scenario.

Oh please...
Let's take a logical view - so you think this patch makes killers camp and tunnel you? Killer could do that even before update, so this update has nothing to do with this.
I tried some low-tier stealth killers (sadako, gf) to purpously tunnel someone just to see how spine chill, bt, otr and other stuff would handle this and to your surprise - I almost lost a match with 0 kills while tunneling. There is 0 ways that tunneling is efficient now.
It just makes me think that, you're played badly.
Gens are slower means only - "Why do I tunnel or camp? I have more time for chases, I don't need to play dirty anymore" mentality.
So I've 0 idea what are you talking about.
Even though Sadako and Ghostface aren't as strong as other killers, if you're struggling to even get 1 kill this patch you should probably stick to survivor.

It definitely is. It's literally the biggest advantage in the game for survivors, and they're crying over these slight killer buffs lol.
It's fine because you can bloodlust any loop now and not be penalized for it!

How often did u saw BL 2 till now?
A lot, especially since killers seem to not know when to leave survivors.

Some of these killer changes weren't necessary. Especially the bloodlust changes.

So wait, your saying the killer is the power role now and the survivors actually have to try and struggle to escape? Like...kind of the feeling the game is supposed to have. Weird. Better uninstall now that they are finally finding the right tuning because my DH got nerfed. Oh wait, I never used DH.
I wouldn't say holding M1 for several minutes is struggling to escape. Just very tedious and could've been easily avoided.

The Iron Will nerf is long overdue. They massively buffed Iron Will to completely negate Spirit as a killer, then they nerfed Spirit on top of that, without undoing Iron Will.
No one survivor perk should totally invalidate a killer's power.
Her power wasn't invalidated. You still had scratch marks, footsteps, grass, and survivors making noise when doing certain actions. You probably relied on stridor too much (if you used it) whenever you played Spirit since grunts of pain were and are not the only way of detecting survivors.
-
I don't give killers pity kills.
I sometimes give pity escapes if I feel like it.

Its been said before but if they ever do a puppet style killer id rather have Childs play over Puppet Master even tho both are iconic 80s horror but you did say lesser known so lets see. The BloB it would be such a interesting idea tho theyd have to figure out how to do the goo physics in a game right
Devs also said they'd never do clowns or non-human killers. But we have The Dredge and The Clown.
-
I mean you are playing blight.
But at the same time, with how most killer's powers are now, DS will most likely be useless.
-
Blame the devs for killing Billy when no one asked for it.

@Phasmamain said:
I wonder would Clown have something else like game slowdown or a teleport in his kit. His power was really simple even for the time
It probably would even though it wouldn't make sense lore-wise, but his power's simplicity is something I missed about old dbd. The way killer powers used to strictly focus on one aspect of the game instead of being able to do basically everything is what made every match feel different, whether your playing as them or against them.
-
I personally don't like it.
It's a very weird map, a lot of random, unnecessary objects that are bestrewed along the realm, unique but odd tiles, and bushes that seem as if I can walk through them. Not only that, but it's not very unique in terms of it's lay out too.

no it's not, this is the update that's gonna bring a lot more perk and killer variety. This is the update that's gonna save DBD you can count on that.
The perk "variety" for killers is just gonna be the gen perks that got buffed this upcoming patch. The only thing that changed is the difficulty of killer now.
-
I'm gonna assume its a bug since most killers lose bloodlust when charging/using their power and Dredge isn't weak enough to where he may need bloodlust.

They already are even though they're easy to do with the survivor-favored servers.
Not everything that occasionally doesn't work in your favor when you play killer is "survivor-favored".

@MilManson said:
Killer should take number 1 priority in this situation, if a survivor is healing it should cancel the heal and pick up the survivor or at the least force a grab.
You can't perform an interaction while another player is as well. Whoever interacted with the object/player first takes priority.

Ignore? That's how you deal with toxicity, unless it's reportable.

Also allow Nurse to file restraining orders against players who make multiple threads about her in under a month.
That'd be a blessing if she could do that.

Flop chapter, could've been better.
-
How garbage the report system is and the fact that any players that have access to the chat box can say very shady things and get away with it. I don't know why this isn't a thing, but dodgy words or phrases such as slurs, insults, and threats that players type into the endgame chat should be blacklisted and automatically sent to BHVR's moderators to be looked at instead of players having to manually do it themselves

Out of curiosity (since it seems to be a point of debate), which killers do people feel like they have to W key? For me it's a minority:
Don't really even try to loop, or only briefly:
Artist, Executioner, Nurse, Doctor, and maybe Nemesis
Loop only on certain maps with high walled loops:
Huntress, Slinger, Trickster
I'm on the fence about Dredge, but the rest I feel can be looped consistently
Personally, I wouldn't bother looping a dredge.
Most of his power related animations are very hasty and guarantee hits if the survivor is close enough. (e.g. teleporting to a remnant, coming out of a locker) Holding w against him wastes a lot of his time and is more effective then even trying to loop him.
-
Devs somehow missed a huge opportunity to make Shadowborn built in this mid-chapter.

@BenZ0 said:
Kinda glad that ppl like this would uninstall, the game is probably better without these kind of players.
What kind of players?
-
Similar to what GoodBoyKaru said, half of the killer roster (specifically the newer killers) have some sort of anti-loop in their power. And because of that, there's no need to try and mindgame survivors. In response, survivors learned to hold W since it's proven to be more effective against anti-loop killers.
But something else I've noticed is the amount of people that complain about w-keying, almost as if that's not the counter to most of the killers in this game.

The whole nerf nurse bandwagon didn't really start until recently. I rarely saw people complaining about nurse, when she was nerfed all I remember from reddit were complaints about the devs taking it too far with the power gauge.
it was a couple of months after they reenabled her that people started to complain about it (and the whole omegablink 2.0 thing). My guess is that people actually got to see what going against a competent, bugless nurse really is like.
I literally just said people have been complaining about her for ages. It didn't start recently, even the devs said she was a mistake.

Any original survivor that knows how to defend themselves well/is experienced with the supernatural.
So that'd be David, Kate, Elodie, Yui, Mikaela, and Haddie.

Now by people do you mean everyone both killer and survivor mains or just survivor mains, Nurse isn't the problem survivors need to learn how to counter her and the maps is the biggest problem as a lot of them rule out a lot of killers being viable so killer mains have to go to the only couple killers that can handle the problem of maps.
If the problem is survivors then list 3 VIABLE counters to her.

"Now that we have given the killers some buffs"
Wait for it to go live. Wait for it to be studied.
You don't need to wait for the killer buffs to go live to understand that nurse is in dire need of a balance change. People have been saying that she needs one for years.

Clearly you don't know what an exaggeration is.
I'm obviously saying that you'll be tunneled out the game very quickly.

And at some point survivors have gotta learn how to not hold w or pallet camp and actually loop
It's hard to not hold w when the large majority killers that the devs release right now are very anti-loop and their only viable counter is w-keying and playing safe.
Oh and when we do actually loop, people like you complain and claim that it's boring.

Bloodlust shouldn't even exist.

After a few hundred hours of playing against nurse. Good players will seem like utter garbage to play against.

@Veinslay said:
It would be nice if you could make a mistake and commit to a chase for 5 seconds too long without losing the entire game while the survivor team can make seemingly endless amounts of mistakes and still win
That's mainly because the survivors are a group of people, their mistakes can be mended by the support of their teammates, a killer's mistakes, or by their own skill. Your mistakes as a killer have to be fixed by the survivors being bad or by your own skill.
