"I find this comment rather comedic since I just read a whole lot of comments from you on another thread where you were telling survivors to "get good" to avoid slugging because it's not an issue while insinuating that you play survivor yet here you are calling for equal treatment for killer. "

Literally none of this contradicts a single thing I said in the other thread. This is misinterpreting what I said and confirmation bias.

"However, yes this game is balanced around well-coordinated swf teams but is miserable for solo queue. Its like most people forget that solo queue exist. But that is also why you will find more solo q players at low MMR than higher MMR brackets. And as a previous post states, if you have to camp and tunnel to get a win instead of getting better at the game, you will suffer later when you get into higher MMR and play against those well coordinated SWFs. "

It is not balanced around well coordinated swf teams, it's balanced around solos. Idk how anyone could forget solo queue exists when that's literally what it's balanced around. You "generally speaking" do not need to tunnel and camp, however, against actually equally very good swf teams, yes, you do. If you beat those teams without doing that, you're either using a top tier killer or the survivors made many mistakes, which does happen often. Against those teams it's balanced around assuming you will tunnel or camp. If you're not doing either against those teams you're relying on their mistakes as to whether you win or lose for most the killer roster. IE if both sides play perfectly and you don't tunnel or camp, you lose as killer, generally speaking.

I love that "confirmation bias" is your go to phrase when you do not seem to understand the points that you are trying to make may not be the points you are actually making. It's not confirmation bias when multiple people take what you say the same way. That may be a communication issue on your end not ours.

This game is absolutely balanced around SWF not solo q, the devs have actually confirmed this. They cannot balance around solo q because of the loose MMR brackets and you do not know what type of survivors you will be teamed up with leaving too much of a wildcard.

While I do not disagree that updates are reactionary, you also have to take into account that they are not going to look into things unless they hear it from the community. That is how anything works, things brought to light get attention. Things left in the dark get ignored.

"I'm sorry but if you're mainly playing killer and you're not slugging of course you're not going to see it often? 11k hours only on survivor? No? LMAO"

You're doing it again. You're hearing what you want to hear, not what's actually said. Where did I ever say I'm mainly playing killer? Stop adding things that weren't said. This is called confirmation bias. You're hearing what you want to hear to make it fit what you already believe rather than looking at it objectively for what is actually being said. I play both sides equally for the record.

"I'm sorry but people are having issues with it everywhere it's all over the forums as of the mori change highlighting it even more, you literally aren't paying attention."

So people complaining about it makes it a common issue? Do we think the forum user base is an accurate reflection of the player base? Correlation/Causation differences here. For hypotheticals here what if the forums were 100 people and 80 of them were complaining about something. That's everyone mostly right? That would mean it's a real issue? What if I now told you that the player base was 10 million people and that none of those had an issue with it? Now that 80 looks irrelevant. This example is to get a point across. Also, unhappy people are the most likely people to comment, not the happy ones. This can give a skewed perspective that things are more of an issue than they are, especially in DBD where people generally want to make excuses and blame everything else as the problem other than themselves. Most people also heavily exaggerate what actually happened once you push for details and it paints a very different picture. Lack of accountability is rampant.

"The point isn't that YOU personally havn't encountered it"

Normally anecdotal is a poor metric. However, the sample size I'm referencing is very relevant based on what's generally considered an appropriate size for accuracy. So I'm more referencing this as a statistic rather than personal experience since most people's personal experience isn't statistically relevant in dbd standards, normally.

"it's that it is so easy to do and is not healthy for the game or fun for the survivor side."

Easy? No, it's very high risk. Fun? Also no. You can objectively do more on the ground than on the hook. You can literally do nothing but remove yourself from the game on hook. Being slugged you can crawl away to make him lose sight, get under a pallet for a save, as well as multiple anti slug perk options. Fun is typically subjective but in this case it's objectively more fun to be slugged because you can do something as opposed to nothing on hook. The real reason people hate it has nothing to do with fun, it's because their egos are hurt and they want to remove themselves from the match and that's being denied. "Fun" is an excuse for the real motive. I would always rather be slugged.

"You are surely not that ignorant."

No need to be insulting. We're having a conversation like adults here.

This post has been completely invalidated as you clearly do mainly play killer per your comment on another thread calling for killer to receive equal treatment.

Now, go play 100 survivor games and keep count of how many times you are slugged for 30 seconds, a minute, 2 minutes, till bleed out. Now you can also add in slugging for the finisher mori AND I want you to do this in solo q. Come back when you have those results and we can compare notes.

If you are not willing to do this, then I guess you should stop arguing as you do not have enough experience as a solo q survivor player to speak against slugging.

I came in expecting to disagree with a lot but these are actually spot on.

"The Game Balances Killers at Their Peak and Survivors at Their Weakest"

This one right here, especially. SO irritating. There is a complete double standard in DBD. They balance around a survivor that's solo queue and has no idea what they're doing, but when it comes to killer is it balanced around a killer that also has no idea what they're doing? Nope, it's balanced assuming it's a top tier killer playing at the peak of their game.

It feels like when killers have an issue they're just expected to "get good" and min max some microscopic counter play that only sometimes works and requires very high skill. Survivor issues? Nah you don't gotta get better, we'll just lower it to where counter play isn't even necessary so everyone can handle it while changing none of their game play and adapting to nothing.

I just want equal treatment for both sides. If we're balancing around the average survivor we also need to balance around the average killer and that's just never been the case.

I find this comment rather comedic since I just read a whole lot of comments from you on another thread where you were telling survivors to "get good" to avoid slugging because it's not an issue while insinuating that you play survivor yet here you are calling for equal treatment for killer.

    Interesting.

However, yes this game is balanced around well-coordinated swf teams but is miserable for solo queue. Its like most people forget that solo queue exist. But that is also why you will find more solo q players at low MMR than higher MMR brackets. And as a previous post states, if you have to camp and tunnel to get a win instead of getting better at the game, you will suffer later when you get into higher MMR and play against those well coordinated SWFs.

it don’t work both ways when you have 4 man sef gen rushing you and you got no chance of winning its that simple survivors are jist too strong and need an overall nerf I shouldn’t have to tunnel but the game for a win you have to i watch high mmr killers and they tunnel to win so I don’t know who you be watching

That doesnt explain tunneling at 5 gens and it goes back to what I said, you sweat, tunnel and camp to get the win, your MMR goes up then you cant handle that MMR because youre not actually good at the game.

  • @Ohyakno said:

What is slugging? Like what's acceptable to you? 5s? 15s? What average will make you happy?

I mean, I dont know about you but I really enjoy being slugged for the 4k while the last person hides in a corner until I bleed out (this is sarcasm in case I didnt lay it on thick enough). I am fine with some slugging, its going to happen but really anything over a minute is too much. And when the killer slugs the 3rd person to look for the 4th, its very unlikely the 3rd is getting picked up.

It's really depressing how all these posts are pointing out real issues, and I genuinely agree with 90% of what you said, but for some reason you decided to start the whole thing with "The event is beyond killer-sided and every streamer agrees" which is a completely biased take and basically ruins the whole argument.

We have a lot of data that proves the game is killer-sided, why not just stick with that instead of making up nonsense that 1) you can't provide any evidence for and 2) is actually false - the event is not killer-sided and "streamers" agree (check Scott Jund's video for example). I don't know which streamers you watch, but the consensus is that both sides get a slight advantage from their ability, but it's not worth it the time spent picking it up in the void, for either side.

Now because you decided to include this weak point, every killer player will only react to that.

You did actually listen to what Scott said in his video, right? He said it's more fun for survivor with the smoke bombs, that the incentive for going into the void is not high enough for either side, and that killers are using the haunts they get to camp hooks and two tap survivors (which confirms my OVERALL point). At no point did he address whether he feels the event is one sided or the other. He just said the event is a waste of time (which I agree with).

Also, if you're going to quote a post, quote it correctly as I did not say "every streamer agrees" however every streamer I watch has said it. Scott even said it in his stream on Sunday.

But, yes, you are correct that I should not have started the OP with a comment on the event as people seem to stop reading there and ignore the overall point of my post.

  • @Akumakaji said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3830108#Comment_3830108

Well, see? That was a much more levelheaded and constructive take then your OP. I had watched that Spooky Loopz video when it released, but I didn't recall any really killersided stuff he showcased there. I speeded through the video again and all he showcased very (probably cherrypicked) matches where the Blight Serum add-on worked perfectly. Have you tried that one yourself? You get 1(!) charge per hooking event and then the first activation of your power is replaced by a single Blight rush with no bounce. Its FUN if it works, but unless you really get into the Blight Serum mindset, you just as often forget that its in play and aimlessly slither around, wasting a good shot at your actual power. Thats OKAY, it adds fun and chaos to the game, but even if you use it perfectly it isn't exactly gamebraking and mostly gets value from the fact that the survivors aint expecting it. Last year my biggest joy was playing Bubba with this add-on and zooming past survivors in chase and activating the chainsaw when in front of them.

Besides that, the void is really a huge timesink and as killer you will never get the time invested in three channeling actions plus traveltime back with a single haunt down. The 1-2-tap made it barely worthwile, but the current version definitely not. I don't know if you were around last year, when the halloween event was an absolute nightmare for killers, but survivors abused the absolute shabang out of the teleports, got easy and free escapes through the near instant teleports and got an absolute safe healing refuge there, so the broken status and sound notification for killers was an absolute MUST to even level the playing field. The teleports aren't instantly, but they are fast enough that the killer REALLY has to be on the survivors toes to catch them, otherwise they will teleport away right from under the killers nose.

The stuff you mostly bemoaned, ie the BMing and toxicity, thats valid, but thats not event specific, that could be done at every other time. Its sad that some players be that disgusting and bad sports during an event, but events are somehow always sweaty and thats on both sides. If a survivor throws down a smoke bomb in front of me and plays me a rocksong, thats fun and they might get a love tap and send away, but most survivors play balls to the walls like their live depends on it and use the smoke bombs to their full capacity, while I haven't had time to fetch a haunt in what feels like a week. So while the BMing part is sad and really off-putting, thats a general problem that BHVR needs to figure out and solve, but the void is still mostly a survivors plaything and you will have a hard time to convince me otherwise.

I was around last year. I may be remembering wrong but I am pretty sure you were broken in the void last year as well so you were not able to get free heals in there and the killer knew if you went in there while injured/broken. I am also pretty sure the teleports were the same last year as they are this year. They changed what the survivors collect in the void (smoke bombs instead of haunts), the notification to the killers when someone goes in the void, and the killer seeing scratch marks (they didnt last year).

And yes, killers are just extra sweaty and toxic lately, event and normal modes. The event just ads to it. And I will say, I do not mind dying, killers are supposed to kill. Just give people a chance to have a good game (and yes, that holds true for both sides). My complaints are not just that the event is sweaty, the game is just unplayable as survivor especially solo q.

I don't play killer much, it bores me.

  • @Akumakaji said:

Mate, take a break when you feel like it, but I cannot see in any way, shape or form, how this event is even a little bit killer sided, not talking about ridiculous levels of being so. Any venture into the void is a huge, huge, HUGE timesink for the killer, where they have no map presence at all, and the void is far from an "all you can kill" buffet, there are some good loops there, even pallets, and that vault location on top, down to the void portal with the rickety bridges is just mean.

At the beginning of the event killers could fire the haunts at point blank and 1-2-tap a survivor, this could SOMEWHAT even out the huge timesink into going into the void and letting 3+ survivors having free range on their gens, but since that was nerfed and patched out I couldn't even fathom to venture into the void in order to deliver some void energy and lose 1min on gen time.

Can you recommend any killer streamers that claim that this event favors them? I wouldn't mind giving them a watch and maybe learn a trick or two that I am missing. With the rest, you are somewhat right: slugging and camping are becoming a problem, but thats going hand in hand in what happened before: the nerfing of most regression and the added +10s on EVERY. SINGLE. HOOK. Even if you don't camp, a survivor sitting on a hook is pretty save for such long times, when even a bad one can't be hooked or tunneled another time. Yes, a survivor on the hook isn't doing gens, but sometimes they don't need to, as a dead survivor is even worse. With how long the timer is now, survivors can comfortable sit on gens, maybe finish them and still come back for the save, having ther cake while eating it.

It has been discussed up and down on the forums, but I am firmly in the camp "make hooking and spreading hooks great again", hooks and hooking have become more and more a detrimental activity for killers, and the game never incentivised spreading hooks. I offered some ideas of how to do so and others have offered their own ideas, and I think BHVR should do something along that lines, ie make it more worthwile for the killer to keep everyone alive (and on the lore-side increasing the despair, while keeping the flame of hope alive), then trying to get someone out of the game ASAP.

Play some killer, my friend, or take a break. Both sides have massive problems, and saying that only one side is unbalanced or suffering is pretty desingenious. The changes of the past, with 6.1 being the biggest culprit, breed efficiency into both sides playstyle, while trimming off all the fat. All we got left is a lean, mean killing/survivor machine (god, how often have I written this exact phrase? :D But I am pretty proud of it, so humor me), with no room for playfullness, and thats on BHVR to changel, as players will always favor the lazy way to victory.

The killer knows when the survivor goes into the void and gets to see scratch marks. The survivor does not get to know when the killer goes into the void and does not have a terror radius. How is that not killer sided? Yes, they added loops into the void, they had to with these changes but you absolutely have to run balanced to get to any of them with the totem being up the way it is. That vault location on top is only mean if the killer does not know how to get around it, which most of them do.

"Can you recommend any killer streamers that claim that this event favors them?" SpookyLoopz literally has a YT vid titled "The most killer sided Halloween event EVER"

And yes, I know both sides have been having problems; I am not ignorant to that. Thats why I made sure to include the comments like gen slowdowns did not need the nerf they got and listed maps that are way too survivor sided. And yes, I forgot about the +10 seconds on hook stages, that was absolutely not necessary either.

But the problem is the level and frequency of killer toxicity. I love being humped on the ground for 4 minutes and it not being reportable because "game time still progresses." I do not condone being toxic on either side. I do not like watching survivors bully killers (I have actually stopped watching streamers because they chain blinded a killer who already gave up) or teabagging but I also do not like having to run full anti-tunnel then get slugged the whole match or vice versa.

And while I like the idea of incentivizing spreading hooks, I have lost track of how many killers have literally said "I dont care about the points, I care about the kills" such as the nurse after bleeding us all out for 4 minutes so I do not see that changing anything.

And I left out the absolutely stupid implementation of the finisher mori which guarantees if you are the second to last left, you are getting slugged. Every game is slugging for the 4k now.

Lol I wasn't aware I needed to. For the record I don't think any survivor perks stick out to me as needing a nerf at the moment and I also commented on a thread a few days ago that WGLF/MfT is fine and nowhere near as bad as Buckle Up/FtP so it's like very weird you put the past 24 hour stipulation there.

I put that stipulation there becuase there were so so so many "survivor xxx needs nerfed its OP" posts in the past two days its ridiculous

Im just saying these posts work both ways. You can tell who only plays one side.

  • @Yggleif said:

I'm convinced survivors just don't want killers to have perks.

They already gutted slowdown are you really going to complain about perks that are only oppressive if you don't know how to loop? This sounds like a skill issue.

and killer mains dont want survivors to have perks which also sounds like a skill issue. Have you commented on any of the recent "survivor perks need nerfed" posts from the past 24 hours? No. Interesting

  • If you tunnel to win, your MMR will go up. If you then cant handle that higher MMR you don't deserve to be there and should learn to play without those styles because yes you will get the anti tunnel perks and the survivors that can counter that playstyle.

I watch plenty of killer mains' streams that win on high MMR without tunneling. Its possible if you have the skill for it.

But most importantly, it's a game. Stop being so competitive and make it fun. This is a "party" game after all (according to the devs). If you're not having fun, or intentionally trying to ruin the other team's fun, you're doing the video gaming wrong (this statement works both ways).

So glad my post did not specifically say "Personally I don't play killer"

  • My survivor queue times on NA (both east and west) have been over 5 minutes for DAYS and I have not seen more than a 25% bonus either. I have also been sent (from NA West) to EU servers multiple times. Its fun running at 300+ ping. I honestly think there are less people playing the game because of the de-sync and lag issues (as well as everything else)

Anyone who says killer is easy clearly hasn't played killer for very long. When you go up against good survivors on a m1 killer you get humbled pretty fast.

Or, and hear me out, OR IDGAF if I get a 4k or a 4 out because i dont sweat it, its a game, I am here to have fun and hope that the people I play against do too.

Yes, I have gone up against good survivors, I have been 4 outed multiple times, I don't care. However those matches are few and far between. Killer is easy. The goal is for killers to get a 60% kill rate, meaning the goal for survivors BY THE DEVS is to have a 40% escape rate. Try telling me again killer is not easy.

  • @AGlassOfOJ said:

if killer is so easy and survivor is so boring, why don't you just play killer?

Personally I dont play killer because its too easy. It plays itself and I get bored after just a few matches. Survivor offers an actual challenge and this comment just confirms my belief that those who play killer only do because they can't handle survivor.

  • @NarkoTri1er said:

ahh yes, please exaggerate it more, we need that punchline

Wait so we can call out the exaggerated 101 perk comment but we wont call out the survivors also have speed boosts "as much as killer" comment?

Yes, survivors have speed boosts, the fastest there was (BGP) was nerfed which I am not arguing against, but it only gave you a few seconds of speed boost. Same with SB. Yet killers have Machine Learning which gives speed boost for 60 seconds each time it procs, PWYF, and multiple others including add ons.

Yes survivors have aura read but not nearly as many as killer and there are stealth killers where aura read does nothing the entire time they are in that form.

Don't call out one exaggeration without calling out the other just because its on the same side of the fence as you.

  • I am so beyond tired of this argument. There is a thread about this on every page of the forums.

Was distortion broken? Yes, it was. Did it have the intended effect with the change (to force people to stop hiding in a corner)? No, now they just hide in lockers, especially now that the killers have more aura read than they did before this patch.

The reason for the change that the devs gave us was an excuse when really its all the killer mains complaining about how strong of a perk it was. All of the back and forth in these threads confirm that.

However, it works both ways. Killer perks are too strong so they get nerfed. Survivor perks are too strong so they get nerfed. There is no way to balance an asymmetrical game but both sides get constant adjustments to try to make it as balanced as possible. Move past it already.

I mean, removing her from the game and re-releasing her later could be a good choice. She'd be out of the sight of everyone, so complaints would stop (mostly) and thy could do more significant changes that way.

I dont think temporarily removing her from game would do anything because as soon as they brought her back, people would still just hate her because all the remember is the old her. They are trying to replace the memories with something less miserable

  • First off… not "literally everybody" said scrap the changes. Yes, shes weak beyond all belief now but they are trying to get people past the point of hatred they have for her now by nerfing her to the point of weakest killer in the game and then completely reworking her down the line.

I see why they are doing it this way. They want people to be more accepting and possibly excited about the rework though I do not see the community taking it as a plus because A LOT of people still want to see her just meet the delete button. There are still people just throwing against her which is ridiculous but it is what it is.

They are trying to change the communities view of her which is not an easy task after her being the three gen game hostage queen for so long.

  • I have been getting routed to EU pretty frequently as well (and I am NA West so that makes the game unplayable). The issue is, we suffer through and play it as it is and BHVR still makes money the way it is. They will not fix it as long as we suffer through. The only way we would bring light to how bad things are is to have a mass exodus at least when it comes to spending money on this game.

  • It is bugged but its just the icon showing on your screen all the time when you pick an item up, they do not see your aura the entire time. Easy solution - don't pick up items. This is why I dont bring items into matches anymore because frankies/weave is everywhere.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

They can get healed by someone else and still have OTR, that's completely normal.

Except when you teabag, you still have to run for your life or die, cant do it for 4 minutes straight. You dont have that option as a slug.

  • I agree with a lot of the previous comments.

I would say I escape 50% of the time however I am having a LOT more fun in this mode not going against the same three meta builds every match. I have not played killer

However I was VERY surprised when I went against a killer that got franklins, weave, haunted ground and blood favor in chaos shuffle.

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3806929#Comment_3806929

As someone who plays both roles, both scenarios are valid.

Yes, I'm sure most survivors just want killers to not play like complete #########. For example I had a survivor game last night in Chaos Shuffle, a fun additional game mode with little real incentive for competition, in which one survivor had No Mither and another had Weaving Spiders. Killer immediately tunneled the two broken survivors. All I would have liked is if they didn't tunnel the obviously handicapped players.

However, it's also true that survivors exist that are simply never happy. That you can explicitly avoid tunneling and camping, even using perks that work against it such as Make Your Choice. You can even let survivors go, you can down a survivor you know is on death hook and leave them slugged instead of eliminating them, and then later watch the survivor walk out of the open exit gate, having passed up numerous chances to have killed them, and they will still hurl abuse at you after the game. I have plenty of first hand experience of this.

The attitude you're bringing here is tantamount to "not all men survivors".

It's very easy to say that "everyone just wants everyone else to play fair", bit that's disingenuous. Just as there are killers who will always tunnel and camp, there are survivors who will never accept anything less than killers throwing the game. There's also an additional factor in the games asymmetrical format, in that the killer has the agency to be able to play fair and is therefore expected to, meanwhile survivors are more subject to the actions of other players (killer and other survivors) and therefore lose more when playing fair. Which is why you never see survivors slowing down gens or offering up free hooks whenever it becomes apparent the killer is struggling. Killers are expected to play fair, but survivors aren't. Is that fair?

you never see survivors slowing down gens or offering up free hooks whenever it becomes apparent the killer is struggling

While it may be rare, to say "never" is not true. My friend and I (duo with two randoms) went against a demo on toba that was having a hard time, was not able to catch us and ended up giving up after 3 gens popped. My friend and I gave them two hooks each and then got the two randos to do it as well.

Yes, this is rare. I have trust issues, I have gone against killers that act like they have given up, survivors offer up hooks only to be killed in endgame. So, is that fair? No. Can you blame us? No. Even in the above situation, I was still worried he was going to turn around and kill us in endgame.

Now, I will also say, I have very rarely gone against a killer that sees the team is having a hard time so they take their two hooks and let the survivors live.

I play both sides and can appreciate when a killer is having a hard time because I am not one of the a-holes people hate playing against.

  • I love reading the comments that come from the obvious killer mains when the question was at people who actually play survivor.

I agree with WolfyWood… I don't care what your perks are even if they give away how sweaty you are going to play. Its the playstyle that is the problem. Don't hard tunnel. Don't hard camp. Don't intentionally make the game miserable for the survivors.

"Don't be an arse on purpose" is the absolute best way to sum it up.

  • Even though the game still technically progresses while everyone is slugged out for 4 minutes until they bleed out, once all 4 are slugged and no one gets hooked, that should absolutely be considered as holding the game hostage.

EDIT: The game progresses in two ways - survivors complete gens and open the gate or the killer sacrifices survivors to the entity. While all 4 survivors are slugged, there is no progress on any gen and if the killer is leaving them slugged without hooking, the killer is not progressing towards their goal either. Think about it this way, you can't get a killer adept on bleed outs. It does not count towards progression of an adept, it should not count as progression towards the match which takes me back to holding the game hostage.

Just because you are slugged for 35+ seconds doesn't mean you bleed out by a long shot, ######### happens and adds up quickly, Killer powers are one of many reasons that could lead to some slugging

Also Knockout is and never was even remotely close to the top 10 for as long as i can remember, its pickrate is actually less than 1%.

If we assume that the the average DBD match is 15 minutes on average seeing 4 Killers using knockout in 5 hours would bring the perk in 2nd place beating Pop goes the Weasel by a signifact margin, so what you say is either a complete lie or delusional.

As a previous post said, the stats list 35 seconds or longer which would include up to bleed out. I would like to see how many people are slugged for more than 2 minutes.

And yes, I had a day with 4 killers in 5 hours using knockout - and they were all different people. So no, it is neither a lie nor a delusion. You can choose to believe me or not, I personally do not care either way. But it was on Labor day and I took a week long break from this game after that.

  • I did understand the post.

The title is it "shouldn't not work" which is a double negative therefore you think it should work. Right?

  • Lets take into account we have perks that exist for no reason other than to slug (knockout - which works more than once) and perks to counter it (unbreakable - which works once or soul guard which is situational) and we have killers that sheerly exist to slug (twins) so while the data may show 1/4 of every survivor in every game is slugged at least 35 seconds which they feel is "not a lot," if I am getting bled out in 1/4 of my games, I am not having fun. And if 4 killers running knockout and slugging till everyone bleeds out in 5 hours is "not a lot" then the devs need to play survivor in pubs more often.

  • or…. don't tunnel.

And if someone is weaponizing their DS, leave them in the locker and move on.

  • I second the OP. The amount of camping/tunneling over the past week has been absolutely nuts and now I am coming across more killers running knockout and slugging everyone until they bleed out.

It's a game people! While a lot of people want the "I win" you can still win without making the game unplayable for the other side.

I didn't forget just don't see it as an issue.

Either it was last second rescue, which was just now buffed and gave survivors lot of time on gens.

Or survivor did it early in front of the killer, which is missplay and should be punished.

Saying perks should be used to counter, what you struggle with is valid. Everyone needs perks.

It's like saying Legion should be buffed to have better kit for chase. No, use chase perks to fix that.

Or saying gens get done too fast, if you refuse to use slowdown perks. Who would have thought?

If you use suboptimal perks for fun, then you simply shouldn't take the game seriously. When you clearly don't try to win.

You missed my point. Survivors should not have to rely on anti-tunnel perks to have a chance when there are perks to counter the gen slow down or chase perks that are overall more efficient than the anti-tunnel perks that, when a killer wants to tunnel, they will not provide much use.

And to your point on Letherface being the only killer that can handle a multiple survivor save, that is also kind a point in itself because you need more than one survivor to unhook hopefully without a trade which takes at least two if not the remaining three people off gens. It's gen slowdown without a perk and while some people see it as a proper playstyle, it gets around your above point about everyone needs perks. If the gens don't get done because everyone is working towards an unhook, survivors don't survive.

  • It seems you all forget about the killer playstyle of proxy camping, downing the rescuer, leaving them in the death state and tunneling the person that was just unhooked.

And don't give me the "but there are anti-tunnel perks" response because no one should have to run a full build of anti-tunnel perks that might only give you a little bit more game time to get around this playstyle while someone else is then bleeding out on the ground. That now makes the game unfun for not just one but two survivors.

  • Are you running dead hard? Apparently thats causing a crash issue
