It's only good for certain killers though so tbh as much as that is a buff since most killers aren't not viable in all of the mmr brackets it can only be beneficial to some mains and not the whole side unlike anything survivor gets.
Survivors got a single perk that people will play for a week of two until the novelty wears off. Killers got a perk that's pretty busted on some killers, and solid on every killer when combined with Pain Resonance.

I like charms, I like to put the lore related ones on the characters they come from. They're actually a pretty large reason in my decision to buy a Rift, I don't think I would've bought the last one if it wasn't for the Trickster and Doctor charms to be honest.
I personally LOVE the new SAW charms, especially the Tier 70 one, I didn't expect the Billy Tricycle to be animated. They'll give a lot more flair to my Pig hook for sure.
Also that Cat charm on the free track is 100% going on my main survivor, he's so cute :)

Just look at the little Punk Rock fella <3
Okay, I was going to say I don't care about charms, but I might care about that one.
@op while I get your point, the above cat charm being the first one I kinda like. You're honestly getting way to worked up over this. If anything they should fill in the free track with extra BP and leave the charms for those who like them.

Really so the nerf to add ons for some killers like clown pig and Nemesis should be on equal terms with COH "nerf" and boil over buff?
Guess you haven't noticed DMS is already becoming meta.

Why do you care what people think?
And noone hates her, if anything she is too easy to go against right now, unless she has best add ons and small map
Uhh speak for yourself. I despise her, but for entirely different reasons.

I don't think I'm going to adjust my perks to deal with Boil Over but I am almost certainly going to adjust my "not nice" killer side if people are abusing it and let them lie around on the floor and think about what they've done if they're going to abuse it (like constantly running up to second floors where you can't hook people and whatnot)
You were a naughty survivor so you need to lie there and think about why you're being punished survivor!
You can't abuse it.

Yes but much like every other patch it is biased as hell.
Yeah, crazy survivor patch. A bunch of minor perk buffs that still won't see them used and one perk buffed to maybe be annoying in some situations.

We are allowed to discuss changes ya know.
Of course you are. The amount of moaning about a perk buff that just released is ridiculous though.
-
The problem with your argument is she is fun for both sides. Fun is obviously subjective. For me, my hearing isn't the best, so playing as Spirit isn't the most enjoyable experience.
From the survivor side I can't stand her twitching and passive phasing. For some reason it bothers my eyes. Add to that a good portion of the Spirits I faced liked to tunnel everyone and she just was miserable.
All that said, I've seen her once since her nerf. So I can't say if she'd be anymore enjoyable to face now.
-
That would only make sense if the 75% was being added to the 50% of selfcare. It shouldn't be working that way.

It was 16/(1*0.5*2) = 16.
Now 16/(1*0.5*1.75) = 18.3
Where is 21.33?
Where are you getting the .5?
-
@Brimp said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2767759#Comment_2767759
I don't think its actually that. Since they use the charge system the math would go: .5 x .75 which is .375 and add those up and do 16 divided by that to get 18.2 seconds. Its the same with healing another person so 16/1.75 since the 75% heal buff.
I believe it'll be .75/16.

Just looking at the list it seems like the list has quiet a few perks pushed up a tier because the bottom tiers ran out.
I mean how in the world is "Hex: Thrill of the Hunt", "Monitor and Abuse"(core on some killers but useless on the rest aka niche), "Agitation", and "Hex:Retribution" not all niche perks? Just to name a few.
Edit: Aka take the positions with a grain of salt due to perks being pushed up.
I do know he absolutely loves Retribution. He found alot of value during his 50 win streaks.

@ShinobuSK said:
The nerf will make selfheal 2,29s longer and healing teammate 1,14s longer.
Any other questions?
5.33 seconds longer.
-
@Brimp said:
It literally got moved from an 8 second heal on another person to a 9.14 second heal on another person. And made the self care like what around normal healing speeds? If anything they didn't nerf it enough and should have made it so you have a timer to where you cant bless a totem for a minute and 30 seconds after its been snuffed.
The self care with the nerf is 21.33 seconds. So a lose of 5.33 seconds.
-
No. That is all.

Mapwide if EVERY survivor equips the perk. CoH is a 5th perk to eveyone not using it.
You're looking at this from potential benefit to the team, but it would still suck at 50%. There's no point running to the otherside of the map for that. Add in time for blessing and it's absolutely not worth it.

Well for starters he's looking and judging it from a single game.
Yes running the killer for 5 gens and then dying lowering your mmr is odd. But that's not what happens the mayority of the games.
Sorry but in my experience both survivor and killer side the person who runs the killer for 5 gens typically is the person who runs out of the exit gates protected by 2 people bodyblocking, BT ,DS and a person standing at the gate ready to open it at any time.
It happens in solo that your teammates just leave you behind but that is a edge case scenario. That's not how the 5 gen chases typically end.
And you know when they do end like that most of the time. If, despite 3 survivors being free to do gens as fast as possible, every single recourse on the map is gone.
Now this may just be me but running from loop to loop insta throwing every pallets and getting lucky the killer doesn't break off and the other survivors were actually efficient on gens also doesn't sound like the epitome of skill to me.
Does the player that ran the killer around the game map and threw all 25 pallets despite the game only taking 4 minutes have skill and deserves to gain mmr despite dying?
It's easy to find edge case scenarios where a system doesn't work. Just like it was easy for me to find a edge case where mmr wouldn't work if based on chase time.
Or how it was easy for the dev to find the edge case of 8 hooks and all survivors escape means suddenly everybody wins vs the mmr based on hooks. No system will ever be without flaws
All in all post like this only feed negativity and further drive the community and the devs appart.
Dowsey indeed isn't entirelly wrong. But this isn't helping either
Nobody is expecting a perfect system, but at least a decent one would be nice. Basing it only a single criteria was a massive miss.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Sigh
This is sad.
I used to really respect Dowsey but he's slowly but surely becoming yet another "bash the devs" channel
Really hope VHS picks up sooner rather then later that he can switch to that before going full SC on propaganda negativity.
I know i'm going to get flack for this but it's really hard to look at things like this and not see mr 200 win streak on twins being salty cause he suddenly has to start facing survivors of his own caliber
Okay, but how is he wrong? The MMR system doesn't measure skill in the slightest.
-
@FreakPrince said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2761904#Comment_2761904
No, it wouldn't. It would still be faster than self-care and available to everyone on the team.
Selfcare is 50% mapwide vs a breakable perk you need to spend time setting up. Moving it to 50% would make it straight trash.
-
They don't indicate skill, chases won do. The argument they made about 8 hooks no kills is dumb. If you got 8 hooks you clearly played at least decently. A point system that combined kills and hooks would be a much bigger indicator of skill.
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
Oh no instead of healing in 8 seconds everyone can self care in 10 seconds with a medkit.
The 2 main issues: Stacking with medkits and the absurd self care heal speed aren't addressed so no not a big enough nerf.
50% would be fine.
If you made it 50% the perk would be dead.

@TheArbiter said:

Not really. Survivors have way to bypass that. Map (item), totem hunting perks, or just learn totem spawns. Killer has no way to change that.
I wasn't just referring to totem locations. You can get a maps where you are very unlucky with tile spawns.

I have played many matches where it was cleansed without any value. Your point?
Fact is still that spawn is out of my control and I can get screwed by RNG.
Most maps have super easy spawns, but then you have Lery's and RPD where it can be hell to find them.
That's their point though. Rng can carry you, or completely break you. It hits both sides.
As for the OP i can see your point. However your teammates and the map you get are out of your control in solo. Sometimes you'll get a decent setup where you will only feel your mistakes. Alot of times though you're at the mercy of Rng same as killer.
-
He looks very painful to play. They nerfed him way too hard imo.

O kid, I kid. Mostly.

Don't really know what it is, so no I don't really care tbh.

Unless you removed the chain 18 meters would be about all you could do.

I think after it gets snuffed you get a cooldown before you can bless again.

It's not rocket science if you know that the rest of survivor is a doing generator and someone needs to go on the hook. It hands the information you on a silver platter. You have to be a massive pepega to not know how to use that information. You can start blasting generators with that.
They still have to learn how to use the information. I almost never take off Kindred. I find the information invaluable. The number of times I've been left on the hook would suggest my team found the information alot less useful. That, or they simply don't know how to use it.

I don't think that would be a good change. You'll just see survivors troll killers near CoH totems and lockers while t-bagging. Just think of the trolling DS users now, but they heal themselves between each jump into a locker.
Everything is a trade off. I feel like this would still overall be better. Granted it's a risk thanks to trolls, but so is everything.
-
@CashelP14 said:
Personally I believe DS should not be touched ever again
Personally I want it to change so you can heal yourself without it deactivating. The trade off being once the heal is completed by you, or you are healed by any other means, it deactivates.

That's my nickname for Vanity Mirror Myers. It's a play off the old Burger King Myers with vanity mirror and tombstone. The joke was that He was slower than survivors because he ate so much Burger King. He's not slower than them anymore because he started eating healthy... So... Salad Myers.
It's... Maybe dumb.
I like that name. I might call him Keto Myers though. You know he's gunna be all about that protein.

You heard it here folks.
BHVR would literally rather delete the only free, non-prestige cosmetic options available to any licensced killer rather than have a functioning ######### report system.
Not saying I support racists or anything wild like that
This is just my personal take on it
Your personal take is inaccurate. They were and certainly will continue to ban people exhibiting racist behavior. The removal of the faces is to give them less tools to be racist ass hats.

The thing giving them the option to behave in an awful manner is post game chat. Why isn't it getting removed?
You mean the thing that let's the devs ban them for saying racist garbage?
-
@Laluzi said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2729769#Comment_2729769
But, like, is removing Smartface actually going to reduce instances of racism? Because these people are still racist twits on DBD and I don't see what's stopping them from facecamping a Claudette and spewing hate in the endgame chat. This only does anything if Smartface made the racism worse in and of itself. Which maybe it did in some way I can't understand.
I just want this game to have half-decent moderation and I think this is trying to band-aid the issue in entirely the wrong way.
If they do that then the chat logs can be used to get them banned. Removing the faces removes a tool they were using. Maybe in the end it will have no effect. We won't know until it's tried though.
-
They were banning people for this. The problem is you can't get them all. They elected to remove the thing giving them the option to behave in an awful manner.
@Laluzi said:
Mostly I don't understand how removing the masks will actually stop those players from doing what they're doing. They're still racist #########. Taking away a cosmetic doesn't turn them into normal players who won't try to grief and harass people on the basis of race.
The moderation in this game needs to be quicker and better, full stop.
Is it guaranteed to work? No, but it can't hurt. As I said in another thread if it stops it happening once it's worth it to me.
-
It's a nice change, but definitely not meta worthy.

That's the kind of comment that I'm happy to read.
I'm genuinely baffled and beyond disappointed that so many people are happy to tolerate hate against other human beings on this thread and are trying to compare it to things like t-bagging.
I don't get it either. Is it sad to see the faces go? Sure, it was a cool thing unique to Bubba. Unfortunately people insist on ruining nice things.
-
@Mandy said:
We stated then that the reason such a big patch was done was that we had the extra bandwidth to be able to do things, we did say this isn't something that will always happen and some patches will have more content than others. We try to do as much as possible within our timeframes and other constraints.
I think, at least for me, it's more there's just nothing exciting in there. Making under used perks better is always a good thing. Unfortunately none of the changes made me want to pick up any of them.
-
Good lord this thread is full of cringe. If removing the faces keeps even one person from behaving like a racist ass hat then it's worth it in my opinion. That kind of garbage behavior should never be tolerated.
-
....*opens mouth to say something*
*thinks to self "not worth it", closes mouth, and leaves the thread*

100% agree. I'm picturing a gen icon if they're on a gen. A running icon if being chased. Probably too much to hope for, but a guy can dream.
-
@SunsetSherbet said:
I question why they wouldn't put that in part 1 but hey, hold out hope it's in the second.
Everything in part 1 was features unrelated to perks and the like. Assuming there are perk changes they might have chosen to keep them all together.
