  • In theory yes. I don't see why it wouldn't. I don't play Wraith so I guess I can't confirm, but I'd be surprised if these add-ons didn't work together.

  • You sure you can't shimmy past it on the right? Seems like you have the space.

  • Okay I'm sorry.

BHVR I love you guys I'm just teasing but I had to do this

    DBD_Doc_Nerf_meme.jpg

  • So the power level of the Nurse is...

But yea, I've been pretty much maining Nurse on my alt account (currently rank 6 on Xbox for this account) where my primary build is BBQ, Whispers, Shadowborn, Ruin (I would use either Corrupt Intervention or Infectious Fright if I had them instead), and I generally go into games with the Dark Cincture add-on to reduce the cooldown time. I find that sometimes the cooldown makes things tough, but in majority of situations it's not that big of a hindrance. Really what hurts me the most is when I play without add-ons and forget to wait the extra half second for a blink.

I know people complained about the blink refresh sound effect on the PTB, and I like the current one, but maybe if there was some sort of visual indicator on the middle of the screen as well that would be a huge QOL boost, at least for me. Taking your eyes off the survivor for even a millisecond to see when the blink is ready can hurt a lot, especially in corn or fog. And considering that you can't really aim blinks using a traditional crosshair, putting some sort of icon in the middle of the screen won't give an advantage to aiming.

But one thing I do like is that the cooldown punishes me for bad blinks. As frustrating as it is to play, in the past I never felt like my bad blinks mattered all that much. If I messed up I just fatigue and try again immediately. Now I have to be a bit more patient and tactical with it.

It would be nice if a brown add-on provided a cooldown bonus. Like shift Dark Cincture's bonus down a notch to a brown add-on (get rid of one of the BP ones I don't see a point in them honestly), give Dark Cincture the same cooldown bonus as Fragile Wheeze, then give Fragile Wheeze an extra effect on top of the current cooldown bonus (maybe slightly increases chain blink window). This way you can more easily go into games with a cheapo add-on that can help with cooldown and make her more like her previous self.

  • LOL I read this thread title and all I can think of is this image with Doc's head on the doll

But the confusion only lies when some dont know about the actual rules and so need to read up on what is and isn't.indet the term.

If the name is changed to something which doesn't automatically imply the actual act then they would still need to read the rules too see what is and isn't and it would still have to reference the term body blocking under the banner of a soft lock.

Why change the name if it needs the players to read the rules and still need to reference the term body blocking witin it instead of just updating the rules to be more detailed so its better explained?

Because not everyone reads the rules and if you say "body block" they can assume you mean one thing when you really mean another.

Specificity is necessary here to distinguish the bannable form from the accepted form.

It's like the difference between non-criminal homicide (aka killing in self defense), involuntary homicide, manslaughter, and murder. Legally these are all different terms with different meanings, different penalties, and different implications. If you just say "he killed someone" it doesn't specify the degree to which it was done, and that makes a huge difference. If it was in self defense, well the guy probably shouldn't be punished. If it was premeditated and done with malice, then hell yes lock that mofo up for life.

    @NuclearBurrito said:

Softlocking isn't a specific thing though. That is to say softlocking implies some other action is being done in order to trigger a softlock.

This is often but not always body blocking.

In otherwords body blocking and softlocking/holding the game hostage/whatever are related but not interchangeable, and the rules are clear about it.

"In otherwords body blocking and softlocking/holding the game hostage/whatever are related but not interchangeable, and the rules are clear about it."

You are right, they are not interchangeable. Hence why we refer to accepted body blocks as just "body blocking", and bannable body blocks as "soft locking".

I chose the term soft lock because it most accurately describes the situation; you cannot continue to play the game and the only way out is to quit the game.

If you want to differentiate it further from soft lock bugs (where you get stuck in a pallet or something) call it "intentional soft locking".

If a full person is blocking me, it’s body blocking, they used their whole body..... end of story

But does that body block result in you being unable to play the game?

If the answer is no and you are still free to move around, it is simply a body block.

If the answer is yes and you are basically stuck in a corner now, it is a soft lock.

I’m on PS4 and I’ve gotten maybe one rubber band incident when the Killer is Doctor. There might be some other problem like the connection or the Xbox just has a harder time with DbD than PS4.

Maybe but it doesn't change the fact the a mechanic so incredibly influence by latency should exist in the game at all.

Like I said above and a million and one times at this point, I'm fine with buffing Doc. He just shouldn't be able to stop vaults/pallets drops (more so vaults because it's very binary, you are on this side or that side, with pallets if you drop the pallet on your screen it's dropped, it doesn't reset to an undropped position).

I think you are over thinking this.

You used the term body blocking yourself while replying to me as it is the actual act of what is punishable but only when used in a certain way.

Everyone knows the term body blocking but do they all know the term soft lock? Its not a term I have never personally used and so wouldn't immediately think of it meaning what you perceive it too in this game.

What this means is I would have to specifically read up that it would represent for this one instance and it would be the act of body blocking in a bannable sense.

Since body blocking the hook wouldnt be considered a soft lock they then have to have a detailed explanation of body blocking under the term soft lock.

Why use that term soft lock then when it still needs explained in a way to diffrenciate it from what is and isnt bannable with the actual act of body blocking itself? They could just keep what people know and explain it much better in the bannable rules making it the same without changing what it's under.

Holding the game hostage also is a wide term as a survivor blocking someone in a corner all game imo is holding them hostage and preventing play even if the egc can activate eventually.

"Everyone knows the term body blocking but do they all know the term soft lock? Its not a term I have never personally used and so wouldn't immediately think of it meaning what you perceive it too in this game."

See but this is the point.

Everyone has heard of body blocking, but not everyone understands what is and isn't BANNABLE body blocking. This is why there is confusion, because the same term applies to different situations, some where it is allowed and another very specific instance where it is not allowed.

If you don't know what soft locking is, and then see in the rules "Soft Locking is bannable" you wouldn't immediately make assumptions about what it is (where you definitely would if the rule said "body blocking is bannable"). You'd have to read further into the rules "soft locking is when the killer body blocks a survivor such that they cannot actively play the game for an extended period". There is less confusion and more people become educated about the exact bannable instance. But the term is easily understood in this context so when you see the definition you go "oh that makes sense". And since we have a term for it, you don't need to go into explaining what happened you just say "killer soft locked me". Simple and easy.

"Since body blocking the hook wouldnt be considered a soft lock they then have to have a detailed explanation of body blocking under the term soft lock."

No it's the other way around. Body block is allowed. Body blocks that are soft locks are not.

"Holding the game hostage also is a wide term as a survivor blocking someone in a corner all game imo is holding them hostage and preventing play even if the egc can activate eventually."

This would be soft locking, except done by another survivor instead of the killer.

Think of soft lock as a type of body block, a specific type that is bannable. All other forms of body blocking (which are simply referred to as body blocks) are allowed.

Maybe the fact that you completed something is why P3-50 exists?

Regardless, I find it odd that the RNG isn't a lot better at those levels than it is at P0. I mean it is, but the changes are quite small.

    Which is odd.

If you want to p3 for bragging rights or bloody skins sure go for it. I'm just making the point that if you are doing it for better webs you are just wasting BP.

  • @twistedmonkey said:

The problem with using soft lock is it doesn't explain the exact situation.

A soft lock can be multiple issues but mostly used in games when you can't access certain features like an inventory or you spawn into a wall and can't go forward in the game or back using a save file etc.

Personally I agree with some others with the wording.

Holding the game hostage is the ban reason and all they have to do is explain in more detail to what is and isn't considered that within the rules.

Body blocking while used in a couple of ways with one such way being bannable can simply be explained better in the rules.

Saying soft lock would cause more confusion imo as its way to broad a term. I highly doubt anyone would instantly think it would mean body blocking so the explanation would have to be detailed in the rules and need to specifically mention the words body blocking since it is the actual act being done within the game.

It does explain it very well though. The only difference between body block type of soft lock and a traditional soft lock, is that the first requires the enemy player for it to occur.

As @MandyTalk said "A survivor holding another survivor in the corner for example is classed as Body Blocking, this would be punishable as they are preventing active gameplay." That means just saying it is holding the game hostage is not enough, since the killer can technically say "well the others triggered EGC and you died didn't you?" And the term body block is used to describe multiple situations, many of which are permitted, so a term specific to this type of bannable body blocking is sorely needed since neither "body block" or "held hostage" are specific enough for this event.

It's only when the player is preventing from playing the game that it would be called a soft lock. And if some other instance of traditional soft locking occurs (eg. survivor gets stuck in some object) well that's going to clearly be a bug and not the fault of anyone. I doubt anyone would confuse that type of soft lock with a soft lock purposely executed by another player as a means to prevent you from playing the game.

And 99% of the issues youre complaints are on have everything to do with bad servers. Depends on where the survivor and you are playing from. Pre-Dedicated servers, Doctor worked perfectly as intended.

Uhhh no he definitely doesn't. I consistently get at least 1 rubber band through a vault whenever I face a Doctor. I'm on Xbox, we have no dedi's yet. I've heard/seen the things that happen on dedi's and I don't expect it to be fixed.

The fact remains it can still happen enough to be a problem.

Furthermore the latency can screw over the killer too. The Doc may see you get shocked and not vault, but due to latency you rubber band across the vault on their screen. The problems exist on both sides. There is 0 reason for him to be allowed to do this.

@thesuicidefox so you proven my point that you don't know what a soft lock was by looking it up. Cool. Still not considered a soft lock. It's called holding the game hostage. Not a soft lock thank you for your time.

You clearly didn't read the OP and understand the point I'm trying to make.

If we call it something other than body blocking then there would be less confusion about what is and is not reportable/bannable.

You can hold the game hostage in multiple ways, so calling it that is not helping the situation. The closest game term we have to what is happening is soft lock, because if you can't progress through the game and can't die, then you are forced to quit. In other words, you are effectively soft locked.

Holding the game hostage via soft lock is bannable.

Exit gates that spawn adjacent to each other is not common, but when it does, it feels like I'm given a free 4k. Feels fuzzy when I can stand in the same spot and keep track of both gates.

It's actually very common. I played a bunch of games last night/this morning and every time I closed the hatch I was able to easily patrol both gates to prevent an escape. The only time I couldn't patrol easily was a match on Hawkins, but I was Nurse with Whispers so I didn't need to really see the gates (the guy still escaped because he apparently found a key but that's 100% luck).

It's rare for exit gates to spawn far enough away that you can start opening a door when the killer turns their back and finish opening it before they come back. I can probably count on both hands the number of times I have seen an EGC escape after hatch was closed purely because the gates were so close.

  • Such a weird challenge since Unnerving has nothing to do with exit gates.

No. Kindred will STILL trump all stealth. So any killer using stealth/Undetectable will still have their aura shown when within vicinity of a hooked survivor if Kindred is used.

You sure about this? Did they change the card to say "trumps Undetectable"? Because unless the card says this I wouldn't believe it supposed to do that. It would have to be a bug.

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

They already have a term for this.

Its called "taking the game hostage".Or is that not good enough?

    1) That's not really a term.

    2) It's not good enough because there are other ways this can be done. Therefore you need to be able to say "doing exactly X is bannable BECAUSE it is taking the game hostage".

  • Did the Billy have Whispers?

Because if he didn't have Whispers he wouldn't have know to just wait somewhere for your to show up.

Also, in professional circles we call this a "check mate". Does it suck? Yes a lot. Does it need to be fixed? Not so much.

This post is pointless... it can be described as killer body blocking or trolling even... Bhvr's term usage is fine and not confusing at all... This post feels like point Dexter correcting someone who abbreviates pi at 3.14 instead of 3.14159. Both answers are correct and acceptable, just one answer is more correct.

Moral of the story is if that verbiage annoys you, then you must not be a very happy person in this world.

You only have 31 posts on the forums, so I'm being nice here...

But have you seen all the complaints about body blocking and how many players think ANY form of body blocking is bannable? Because if you just type "body block" into the search bar you will get a ton of threads of killers complaining that a survivor blocked them and forced a hit, or how a killer blocked a window/pallet and got a hit from it. And then how this forum user reported this player, etc etc, only to be followed by a shouting fight where the people that understand what is actually bannable trying to explain why what the person did is not a reportable offense.

The terminology is the problem. "Body blocking" refers to two completely different things in this game, one is acceptable, the other is not. If both were/were not acceptable this wouldn't be an issue.

  • @projecteulogy said:

Doc won't be getting an update until this time next year. So not soon.

Also, if Doc didn't have that delay, he would be 100x worse than the Clown in ranking. But i can still beat Doc easier than Clown because Doc's shock doesn't Slow you down. Just stops you from vaulting or dropping a pallet for a whole 2 seconds.

If you get shocked in real life, its disorienting.

If anything, Doc needs a Buff because he's one of the easiest killers to rush. SWFs murder him.

You seem to miss the part where I say the problem is how this effect is handled in combination with latency. Effects that have a high probability to cause rubber banding or other such things don't belong in the any game.

Case and point, the original Ink grenade in Gears of War 3 would stun lock you in place if it landed near you. If you jump at the right time you can avoid this. The problem was, due to latency, you could be mid-jump and then you animation resets to a stun lock. And for the record, stun lock in Gears = death. It was something they had in Gears 1 (frags) and Gears 2 (smokes), that eventually they realized was just bad for the game, so the Ink stun was removed from Gears 3 and overnight the weapon went from absurdly broken to below average (which I wish they buffed some parts of it to compensate, but I digress).

Has nothing to do with how strong the character is, and everything to do with quality of the experience. I've said this a MILLION times at this point; I'm fine with Doc buffs to make him a better killer if they remove the vault/pallet drop cancel of his shocks.

I don't think most people had trouble following along. More importantly, the people who this was directed to (BHVR), know exactly what @thesuicidefox is referring to. Stop derailing the thread with nitpicks and tone policing.

    Exactly.

This thread isn't meant for the players. It's meant for the devs.

    @TragicSolitude said:

I look forward to the rules being rewritten, because right now they are dangerously vague and I'm sure it results in a lot of useless reports and cases of people refusing to believe clarifications (even when it's from the devs themselves) because "that's what it says in-game."

"Body blocking," "helping the killer," "holding the game hostage," and "targeting" seem to get misinterpreted constantly.

    Body blocking = Soft locking.

Helping the killer = Helping the killer to killer other survivors. Not friendly farming.

Holding the game hostage = Being forced to disconnect. Includes cases where multiple survivors hide on the map instead of working on gens for an extended period of time. Does not mean hanging out in the exit gate or slugging.

Targeting = Does not mean being tunneled or camped in a match or even a couple matches. It means being aggressively targeted in like 8+ matches.

Most likely people won't be banned if they're reported for something that's not actually bannable, because the devs actually look into the reports, but all the salty posts about things that aren't actually against the rules, the angry messages after a match, and new players being scared about playing a certain way because of a vague list of reportable offenses could be easily cut down on with in-game clarification.

Thing is the devs have to sift through all these reports. If terminology was more direct such that we don't use the same word for what is effectively different things (just ones that use the same mechanic) then there would be less false reports and the devs can more efficiently do their job of policing actual problem players.

    @Mandy said:

I think we're in the process of going over the game rules to make them clearer for everyone - and yes this is one of the main ones that's on the list for me as it will make it clearer for everyone concerned about what is and isn't acceptable in game.

Excellent. I hope that includes revised terminology, because as I see the main reason these rules are vague is because the bannable offenses do not have their own terms.

Like has been mentioned, "targeting" a player isn't a very clear term. Killer should be able to "target" whoever they want, it only becomes a problem if said player is going out of their way to go after a specific person over the course of multiple games to ruin their experience. "Griefing" isn't even a good term because survivors and killers are so toxic to each other literally anything could be called "griefing". I don't know what the new term could be, but it needs to be something clear and to the point to differentiate it from other behaviors.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I don't get why it's even a thing survivors should just be pushed aside it makes no sense that they would be able to stop the killer dead in his tracks by just standing there it looks ridiculous.

Killers shouldn't be able to either, no reason why a survivor shouldn't be able to have some like assassin's creed passing animation that triggers no clip except for a centralized smaller hitbox so that say they are pushed into a corner they can slide past him if he isn't quick enough to react.

I don't think it's a problem players can block each other from moving. The pushing thing makes sense in some ways, but it would just cause problems in other ways. Body blocking the killer to force a hit, or body blocking a survivor to prevent them from reaching a window/pallet is a valid tactic and pushing would just remove that aspect of the game.

If anything, there should be some timer in the game where if a survivor/killer stays still for something like 20 seconds they lose collision until they move again. This would keep body blocking in the tactical sense, but prevent soft locking.

  • There is no game chat or text chat in DBD on Xbox. If you are playing survivor you will have to invite the others to a party.

  • If you just started playing, you are probably rank 20. Chances are there aren't many people close to your rank to match with you. If you wait until the 13th when ranks reset you might have better luck.

And as @Fibijean said your region and time of day can have an effect on your matchmaking times.

That said, on Xbox queue times have been super quick last few months. I'm a red rank killer on my main and purple rank on my alt, I find killer games within a few minutes.

  • @PolarBear said:

Would be a more appropriate term if you ask me. I just don't think everyone knows what a softlock is. But the same kinda goes for bodyblocking.

Soft lock is a term used in other games to describe a situation where the play basically gets stuck with no way to progress through the game (which is different from a bug where you get stuck, soft locks are a direct result of poor level design). It's different than a "hard lock" which is when the game just freezes, but it's "soft" because the game continues to run but effectively it might as well have frozen since there is no way out except to restart the game.

The most common game to hear this term is Mario Maker, because a level creator can, for example, put a one-way against a wall and if there is no spike or enemy or whatever to kill Mario it's called a "soft lock" because you are forced to either restart or wait the 400 in-game seconds (which is more like 8 minutes or something crazy). That's why if you ever see a spike block somewhere that seems out of place, it's for Mario to use to die so they can avoid a soft lock. If the level designer is at all competent, they would see the potential soft lock locations on the level and give you that spike block or whatever to die. Bad level designers don't do that.

  • The thing is you don't know where a portal is, so he could detect you without you knowing it. Maybe if by doing so it activates the portal when Killer Instinct goes off, but the reason they don't do that is because you can't see the portals until they are active.

As for the first one I got it confused with his other add-on. Still I would rather it be on a different add-on, perhaps Lifeguard Whistle because I don't see much of a point to inflict exhaustion for 5 seconds. If the survivor sees you coming out of the portal they just walk away, by the time you catch up they have recovered from exhaustion already.

  • 1) I would agree to this, but not for Red Moss. I feel that's strong enough already. Maybe another add-on.

    2) If this was an add-on effect sure. Green would be fine.

That is also not clear at all. If someone reads just this thread and doesn't know the difference already then I feel like they will be very confused. I think your suggestion is good but very confusing, it would be much clearer if you specified that you are refering to the offenses list in your original post.

Dude it has nothing to do with the explanation. 🤦‍♂️

I'm not trying to tell people what the difference is. I'm telling the DEVELOPERS to use a DIFFERENT TERM to avoid confusion.

This way there is no confusion. Both actions have different terms.

I feel like you don't properly explain the difference. Based on your description it seems like if you block a survivor for any amount of time as a killer you get banned.

I'm talking about in their list of bannable offenses. They explain it more fully there but they use the term "body blocking".

"Soft lock" is a more appropriate term because that's what you are doing. This post is about the term not the definition, because the term is used in 2 different contexts.

What\??? where did you hear he is getting an update soon? Why would they nerf him? Omg.

They said it like 5 times across several streams now that Doc is next on the list after Nurse. Only reason Spirit got pushed forward was because of people making a big stink about her, and Legion has very minor changes coming.

  • 1) Shocks stopping you from vaulting is dumb. It is entirely based on connection and causes a lot of rubber banding. It shouldn't be in the game for that reason alone.

    2) Doc is getting an update soon, so I doubt they will do anything about this until that happens. Probably mid-chapter.

The issue is that while the person you are currently chasing is at the loop, the other 3 are doing gens.

And if you go after someone else then they can just run to the loop, possibly tanking a hit to do so, and then loop you.

If the loop is in the center of the map, which for some maps it is, then you can get to it from almost anywhere if you are healthy just by tanking a hit as you run to it (which is a free 48 meters worth of distance in terms of how much of the map you can travel). And if you aren't healthy then the loop is the perfect place to heal.

For example, the ironworks map has a diameter of 100ish meters and the maps God loop is in the center. So you can start from literally anywhere on the map, run for at least 2 seconds, tank 1 hit and reach the loop. Regardless of your starting location.

If you fail to reach the loop it's either because

A: You messed up your pathing

    B: You were already injured/exposed

C: Killer power effect stopped you

People tend to underestimate how much distance you can cover given even just a small starting distance

This btw is why Plague is underrated but Legion is not.

As Plague you can guarantee they will be injured thus making it extremely hard to abuse loops like these.

Legion you can heal up against anyways and thus treat them like a normal M1 Killer for running these loops.

Dude you can't always make it to the strongest loop from ANYWHERE on the map.

If there are no gens near that loop anyone that goes there is dead weight.

If they do the gens near the loop, that will leave gens AWAY from the loop uncompleted for you to patrol.

You chase them near the uncompleted gens, if they run to the loop let them go. Either they waste time healing before they come back or they try to finish the gen injured and you catch them. Widdle them down, change targets for survivors out of position. You can win these scenarios. Once you take out a survivor or 2, that infinite loop becomes less powerful because it will take them longer to do other gens.

The only map where your argument is valid is Ward because you can make it to the building from pretty much everywhere and that whole tile is a mess of a loop. But most other "infinite" loops are in specific parts of the map that are not always accessible at every moment.

  • Survivors are not a TEAM. This is your problem.

Your goal should be your own survival. Not the survival of other players.

You should only be saving people if it increases your own chances to survive. But when push comes to shove, be selfish. If you play selflessly expect to die.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

Ok but then what's stopping them from running to the loop every time you go to chase them?

Distance. If the loop is a dead zone (no gens for you to protect) then anyone that runs there is effectively not doing anything. Let them have whatever gen is near that loop and focus on gens farther away. It's not rocket science dude. Just don't chase around that loop, eventually they will screw up away from the loop and you will catch them.

  • To be fair, you should just let them go if they run to these loops. Catch them away from the loop. While they need to be fixed, yes, at the same time you should know to just let them go because taking that chase is a loss.

  • "You need to see a doctor"

    Poor choice of words.

    Doctor meme incoming

In all seriousness though, yea people in this community are incredibly toxic. I partially blame the devs for not doing more to curb this behavior or encourage people to be nicer to each other. Hopefully once dedicated servers are fully up and running on all platforms they can start taking action against these types of players.

No need to disrespect Legions, but I agree having a Killer give you Deep wound as there power is the worst. It's either useless or broken. Legion needs something else on there Feral Frenzy or just a rework in general.

If it's a Susie, there is plenty reason boi

The P1-P2-P3 implies it to be more, that's quite odd.

Regardless, if he's starting from 50 to like P3-50, than it would most likely take 20mil+ or almost 20mil. it depends how well he does on the blood-web tbh.

Here are the threads (at least I'm pretty sure this is them, forum search is not that amazing):

BP to get all perks: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/57185/maxing-the-next-killer-will-take-8-2-million-bp

So roughly 7 million BP to get all perks at P0. If you want to get P3 that's another 1.5-2 million BP. These numbers also assume you are taking the cheapest path and going for the perk right away each web. If you are trying to maximize the amount of stuff you get each web, it would easily be over 10 million.

    P0 v P3: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/207555#Comment_207555

    https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/9kcl9h/does_prestige_make_your_bloodwebs_better_30/

If you look at the chart from Reddit, he got exactly ONE more pink item. If you skip to one of the later posts on the forum thread he breaks down how it affects each rarity at each ring of the web. Basically you are looking at 1 more green or purple item per entire web. If you are lucky, every 10 webs you will get an extra pink item. It's honestly not a huge difference, IMO not worth the prestige for "better stuff". Only real reason to P3 is for the bloody skins.

i know where you are coming from here, there has been a lot of abuse with this mechanic in the past, however this is also something i thought about when creating this idea.

the main goal was to make the mechanic overall better, while also not allowing for any of said exploids to happen.

    just out of curiosity:

how do you think one would be able to abuse a timer that wont do anything unless the player affected by the timer actively starts it?

the killer cant just deactivate his TR and start the timer, he cant moonwalk to start it, he cant do anything to it - excluding Franks Mixtape.

the only time this timer would activate would be uppon the survivor entering an action, which is completely on them.

the only thing the killer could do is stealth away and pretend he left, when in reality he was stalking the survivor - which imo is perfectly fine.

    and back to your idea:

again, i support turning this gen slow down into an actual effect.

however, i feel like it would neigther fit the name "Deep Wound", nor would it make sense for the devs to make such drastic changes to an effect. they will probaply just add it as its own effect, however deleting a current effect and adding a completely new one in its place doesnt sound like its gonna happen tbh.

also sorry for the late reply, i wasnt feeling too well yesterday and therefore wasnt here for long.

"the killer cant just deactivate his TR and start the timer, he cant moonwalk to start it, he cant do anything to it - excluding Franks Mixtape."

There are several perks and add-ons that remove TR. Some killers can do it at will (Pig, Wraith, GF). So yea, killers could find ways to exploit this still.

And if the killer can't exploit it, then it's just a non-threat to the survivor. A literal joke of an effect that doesn't force them to do anything except look at another progress bar for a short time. My friends and I started to disrespect Legions by Mending the instant they hit us because it's such a joke. If they use their power to find someone else, we are done Mending before they even find someone else. If they get triggered and chase normally, well it's a normal chase at that point.

Again the problem is having a timer before you go into dying. The whole concept is flawed and needs to be ditched for something better.

  • Yea I honestly can't even think of a reason for it to exist. Literally no one I know use it. It makes no sense.

Just another point on the list of how PC game developers don't understand controller users.

  • On Xbox if you press the "select" button it will invert your controls (also know as the "with cheese" button).

What about going from level 1 to P3-50 max perks.

Because unlocking your Killers to P0-50 and getting max perks on them is kind of a bad idea.

You get less rare add-on/offering drops, and they show up less frequently.

If its 1 to P3-50, its about 20mil+ or almost 20mil.

Someone did a test between p0 and p3 and found the ONLY difference is that you earn about 1 more green rarity item per web after 50. The difference is very negligible.

  • Someone did the math a while ago (when there were maybe 55 ish perks for killer) and they found it would take roughly 10 million BP to get all perks on them. Now we have 66 killer perks, but every web after 50 will let you take 2 perks, so the final tally would probably be about the same even though there is more to unlock.

stop using tractor as a ######### reason bro, ussylis made a video of him still running it the same way WITHOUT balanced, all balanced does is help with the loop by giving you speed , it gives you more room for error, Poor map design shouldnt change a perk

    ???

I'm agreeing with you that BL didn't need changes, it was the map design that needed a fix. Not sure what you're point here is.

The maps are the reason, the players are basically forced to abuse spots like the strode house. Sure thing m8.

I think BHVR wanted to save resources and nerfed balanced instead of reworking multiple maps

Except that Strode house, tractor, Ormond house, Game... are all STILL problems without Balanced Landing. It's only going to be slightly better with a BL nerf.

What they did won't fix anything. They HAVE TO fix the maps if they want to actually solve these problems.

  • Easiest way to look at it...

Survivor: Follow the "rule of 1"... 1 full gen solo, 1 full solo heal on another survivor, 1 safe rescue, 1 minute of chase. Survive for at least 10 minutes (1 "decaminute" 😋). Do all this and you will get silver emblems in all categories. At this point you just need to over perform in 1-3 categories based on your rank color above green (1 extra for green, 2 for purple, 3 for red). Escaping the trial gives you gold Unbroken, and escaping without going down gives you iridescent, but considering your chances of survival will go down as you rank up focus on the other 3 emblems instead. If you get gold/iri Unbroken consider it a bonus.

Killer: Prevent at least 6 gens from being repaired for 7 minutes (for reference, the UI should stay at 3 or more for this time). Get at least 2 hooks on all survivors, and kill at least 2. Win chases within 30 seconds (a hit is considered a chase win) and make sure to leave hooks unless you suspect a survivor is nearby. Go for healthy survivors if possible because you get more Chaser/Malicious from them, and avoid one shots if you can afford it for more points. Do all this and you should earn silver or gold in each category. Basically, do everything in your power to slow down the game and stop chasing survivors if the chase lasts more than 30 seconds.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

But you realise, that most decent survivors were able to run 90% of the killers for five gens with BL and DH equipped?

    Because the maps let them.

Try to do this with BL on Autohaven maps. I'll wait for your video...
