I'd say legion outside of the ptb his power is useless if someone is injured and a good chunk of add-ons are useless at least imo
-
Ehh that's kinda a waste since even if you catch up you'll get hit with a 4 second stun which will give them a lot of distance
-
It's just annoying when you have we'll make it and the killer isn't near you
-
1. Dead hard
2. Adrenaline
3. Lithe
4. Balanced landing
5. Sprint burst
6. Head on

This is correct for me. I switched to killer over a year ago and enjoy the game much more. I find 70% of the killer complaints on this forum to be more playstyle issues than actual game issues. Keya are a great example. Maybe one in 10 matches see a key used. Less than half of those include more than one escape. If you see a key, make sure to eliminate that threat with Franklin's. Easy fix and most players focus on getting that key back again, so it is easy to lure them.
Franklin's was never a real counter since they can easily just pick up the key later or just drop it early in a specific area not to mention they buffed plunderers so you can see objects on the ground and you can still find keys in chests

Pallet vacuums were never added, they've always been there. If you go back and watch any footage of the game at release you'll see people warp right to the far side of the pallet.
Having played since the start, I've gotta' say that it's never been easier to play killer. Even going back just a little over year ago, I used to have to deal with people teleporting to the far side of the pallet, Borrowed Time that protected both the unhooker and the person who was unhooked, DS that worked the first time you downed someone with no way to avoid it, and the list goes on.
That's not to say that it's perfect now, but to deny that it has gotten way better since would require a very selective memory. It'll likely always be more stressful just by the nature of the role; it all depends on you. You are the only one facing the four survivors. There's nobody to watch your back if you mess up.
I actually disagree with you about that ds comment since juggling was a thing back then since ds didn't activate straight away on pick up and with other people it didn't activate until the wiggle meter reached 35%(unsure on the accurate %) so counterplay was actually removed from ds because you could choose between slugging your opponent and juggling

Good morning people of the fog. Today I want to address how bE handles balance. Has anyone else noticed when bE decides to balance something they drastically overtune it in one direction. Several examples:
Huntress: Tinkerer no longer effected hatchet wind up speed. They also considerably decreased hatchet wind up time of both her adding on top of this.
Nurse: changed her addons that made her broken (5 blink and omega blink). Then also changed her base kit as well.
Legion: Addons seemed to strong for mending time. Buffed borrowed time and merged base kit legion to compensate.
Just a few examples, but a lot of these changes would have been fine if they just did one or the other, why do they feel the need to stack on change after change instead of gradual changes every mid patch?
With legion it was exploits due to how his power worked on top of some add-ons being broken mainly Frank's mix tape they nerfed legion into the ground but he didn't get compensation

All communities are their own little circle jerk echo chambers. Regular users just find one that suits them and parrot each other for upvotes. This community is no better then the rubreddit or steams.
Ehh game data only tells part of the story you need the context on how the data got that way

This would be great for countering Spirit Fury.
Just throw the pallet down earlier

What is the change?

Any means necessary seems like it could be hella abused....I am not sure how....but I don't trust it lol.
Swf red ranks a person imagine running an ultra safe loop and the killer doesn't break it another runs up and puts it back up then you'll get hit again
-
So any means necessary forces a killer to break pallets now since you can get a safe pallet back and breakout sounds like it won't be fun to deal with either
Thanks for the info btw
-
They need to increase the range on it tbh I'd be fine with it being map wide since it only regresses a gen by 8% and has a cooldown that or increase the regression %
-
I don't hear good things about dedicated servers at the moment let the guys on pc have that wonderful experience I'm absolutely fine with waiting a while
-
Look at the red rank survivors

Disturbed ward imo

You must have missed the point.
The problem I have with this is even though its just a game it's frustrating as a person who plays both sides because I get stressed out playing killer and I can relax as survivor
-
Yep
-
That's not really a compromise if you get hit with noed its entirely your fault as a survivor but as killer if your too efficient you'll get hit with ds since you did too well they aren't comparable at all
-
I mean if they are an issue now and a second objective takes time why not increase it until they put in a second objective then lower it when it's in

But still, if the survivors are incapable of making the killer unable to play, then why is the killer able to?
Gen rushing is a thing you know that right?

A lot of things have potential to be "abused".
But for instance, if the killer is standing in certain proximity let's say full on face-camping. They stand there for a certain period of time before the ability can even take place. This limits the idea of someone going in for the hook and killer chasing them, or survivors running the killer TO the hook, in order to use said perk etc. Because obviously, that is something that would be done quite often.
Example: Decisive Strike. Supposed to be anti-tunneling. What do some do? Specifically go in front of the killer in order to get hit or drag them to a locker just to try to use it. - This "abuse" should be adjusted in my opinion as well.
Anyways, just a thought. The length of stun could also vary, might not be as long even.
What about altruistic hook divers or swf or egc camping the killer can't just leave the hook since it's just a free unhook and a free escape at some times with that perk your going to take the stun or the survivor is going to escape there is no real in between with this either not to mention borrowed time exists so that on top of a stun on top of ds sounds really unfun already
-
just wait for it to appear on the shrine
-
@HellCatJane said:
What if the dev's made a perk. That if the killer is camping or in a certain range of a hooked person, the survivor can "use" it, and create a stun like effect on the killer.
??? I'm surprised you haven't thought of how that wouldn't be abused
-
What if you used camaraderie

Sadly, that's just negligence. But really has no tie between Spirit and her changes.
If sounds remain terrible and the chase music being so loud unless you live and breathe spirit it'll affect spirit not to mention we have no idea if they'll stealth nerf the spirit to make it completely obvious to tell when she's phasing which will destroy her on top of these nerfs but that all depends if the devs decide to do it
-
Sounds are terrible right now so the collision nerf on top of that is kinda dumb

I ask this because I want the game to be fair. Not because I'm thinking in a 1v1v3 scenario instead of a 1v4.
But it inherently isn't fair since its a 4v1 with the more survivors being alive the less time the killer has

I did. Which is why I'm telling you it's BS.

Yes yes... don't actually ask what I think. Assume stuff
I didn't ask since the comment wasn't aimed necessary at you specifically but in general which is why you see spirit and nurse getting nerfs but since you tagged me what is your opinion
-
Too much counterplay imo sure you can choose to bait stun but portals and shred itself are up to the survivor to destroy/get hit by

1) Vaulting =/= her power
2) Not having a tell is the point of her power. I literally can't repeat that enough. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHEN SHE IS PHASING! You complain about this because you fall for the stand still trick, but that trick is very easy to beat if you play it like she is both standing there AND phasing. If you are trying to guess which she is doing, you already lost.
If you know when she is using her power, she loses all pressure on you because you know when to run and when to play stealthy.
Try this. Make a KYF game. Being in a chat/Discord with a friend. Have your friend pick Spirit. Any time they phase walk have them tell you. You will see how easy she is to beat.
If the devs wanted you to know when she was phasing they wouldn't have made the husk appear to be an AFK Spirit and they wouldn't have had the husk keep a TR that overrides phasing woosh.
Its because people want this game to be a 1v1v3 instead of treating it like a 1v4
-
Nerfing killers but not touching gen speed
-
Hopefully no survivor
-
I'll camp if I'm losing or its endgame since I got nothing better to do
-
Sounds pretty cool what power do you think he'll have of he were in?

The dbd devs put themselves into a hole where they introduced SWF due to popular demand but didnt think in the long run how communication would give such a distinct advantage over killers and solo players.
Now because of how the system has been for so long. Swf players see any nerf as punishment for something theyve had the benefit of for so long. Rather then seeing it as balance for the game.
I dont think limiting swf to groups of 2 would work. They just need to put in a voice communication system into the game. Then give the killer some tweaks to detection and chase. Like lower terror radius or red glow or lower chase music.
They needed to lower the chase music for a long time I can barely hear footsteps with how loud the music is

Wrong, people had no idea I was coming up on them and hitting them since I knew where they stood, you'd have no idea if she's mind gaming or actually chasing you, counterplay is a little lacking there.
That would of happened anyway since people complain about that regardless of whether she's using prayer beads or not
-
@[Deleted User] said:
but he's just a bad killer tho :(
Your wrong he's perfectly balanced and fair ™
-
Nerfing prayer beads and removing collision at the same time is stupid since prayer beads is only useful in gen grab spirit

WOAH. Imagine that with perks that tremendously slow the game down: Ruin (kinda) Thanat w Sloppy, etc…
Yea but swf has the advantage of coordination they need some type of downside that they can't circumvent
-
All they need is an action speed decrease the more friends you have. It won't affect solo's and people can still play with their friends but it makes it more fair to the killer
-
I care about ranks I'm not going to lie to myself about it and it's why I get frustrated sometimes even though I'm a rank 1- 2 killer
-
@IceCreamPrincess said:
Playing devil's advocate here, your story said he facecamped until you where in struggle, and that 2 other survivors where already dead, so it was just you and one other. Since you never mentioned gens in your story im going to assume that their was some left when you where hooked. So what i reckon was he was just waiting out a possible deliverance, or wanted to ensure you where easier to take down
Plus, DCing out of frustration is lame, considering he never actually did anything wrong besides camp the second to last survivor, which as almost everyone knows is a stupid idea cuz hatch shenanigans.
Also, slugging to prevent decisive is its only counterplay sometimes
It's not the only counterplay sometimes it's the only counterplay to it now since they got rid of juggling and enduring as counters
-
I'm fine with it the if they fix the frame rate I don't need it to drop every time I/the killer bloodlusts
-
Probably chapel tbh
-
Depends on rank you are at too or how well versed you are with a killer what killer do you enjoy the most out of the one's you listed
-
Tru3 and otz
Both show tactics and explain certain strategies that I wouldn't normally see in my usual games especially tru3 with how to counter spirit

That's the idea, kill or hook, if you have dying light then is obvious what you want, but if that's not near enough then at least there's one less anyways, most of the offerings are BP or chests or mist or spawn locations, and ofcourse mori, mist is useless for a killer as you know, 4V1 chests are useless for a killer as you know, 4V1 BP is always useful, spawn locations are useless cause... separating them ends the game even quicker usually, so that's a game throwing offering, and survivors benefit regardless anyways, and map locations for a killer is useless cause ya know, 4V1 so Mori is really all that's left which is attacked, but most killers like the kill animation, and I use this rule typically, if not have what I said as a natural thing for the end or make it like devour hope only for the kill not the rest, devour hope is barely used anyway cause people just get totems done quick as they know the spawns, I just don't want Mori gone, that's all, the kill animation is badass
Ehh the emblem system punishes killers heavily for using it currently so it getting nerfed like that makes it a hard and unnecessary nerf mist works with trapper hag and ghostface on non indoor maps the other 2 are useless
