I mean the reason why people tunnel is because it's efficient and people feel the need to camp because they are going to lose and you have nothing to lose anyway but why does your ds changes address borrowed time

The Game is SWF sided at the expense of both Killers and solo survivors.
The Game itself was originally balanced around 4 survivors having no communication the only way to fully have the game be balanced is to give the level of communication that a swf has to solo players as well and then buff killers to compensate. It's been suggested plenty of times with many different solutions but I highly doubt it will ever happen.
The simplest way I can think of is to have bond be base kit. or even just have icons next to the survivors names that the killer cannot see, one for each kind of action in the game like a locker symbol when someones in a locker, a gen for being on a gen, health symbol for healing/being healed, one for being chased, searching a chest and working on a totem.
I never can understand why people say buff solo to the lvl of swf because the killer couldn't win no matter what buff you gave them and it's super easy to do with 2/3 buffs
1 aftercare/bond map wide by default
2 obsession status for all survivor icons
3 (optional) one way Ooo where the killer can't see the survivor
But what could the killer even do to win the game? Not to mention killers have to get 3 hooks per survivor while survivors need to complete 5 gens total and survivors can split up so it's even harder to win

In what version of the game am I playing all 4 survivors?
If slugging is such a problem why don't you run perks to counter it

As long as you keep playing, then yes it will be live. I don't think they care how much outcry there is, because greed is their driving force. If there's no killers playing, then there is no game and the game suffers. Play survivor or not at all if you want real change.

Cant get mad at that. I defiled his property. I deserve to die.
Im defining tunnelling as the aggressive overfocus on one survivor, completely ignoring the others, sacrificing both the objective and other pressure, to ensure a kill.
Tunneling surged because ds got buffed massively when it originally got changed and adjusted to where it is not to mention the only real counterplay is eat it early and if you do that there is nothing really stopping you from deleting that person or having 4 separate alarms all on a min while you multitask who's doing what where while in a chase and to top it off ds has no counterplay during egc
-
Define tunneling? Because that word gets used pretty liberally

not a killer main friend. I just call BS when i see it. Im not even a billy main but the sheer fact that he got the nerf that didnt need to happen to his base power just makes me not want to even touch him when i get the urge. Kinda like nurse. Remember freddy nerfs? happened no matter what the community said. it took them how many years to change him to be more fun for survivors? and now look at him, hes probably next on the chopping block by the amount of hate he gets on these forums
I never said you were a killer main I'm just wondering why they still play this game it also happened to nurse and ruin not to mention when they nerfed freddy and oni out of the blue in a hotfix when oni was new they reverted it later but it still happened. Both sides will get shafted but killers will more frequently than survivors I think spirit will get the bat again then clown in his rework will have his good add-ons removed
-
Dunno why killer mains outside of streamers still play this game since they get the nerf bat pretty frequently or get changes that are minor to don't help at all
-
New bubba from what I've seen is just slower old billy

No

We saw from the vid that the base kit overheat cd is about 10-15s. That is enormous, and you simply don't understand how the killer works if you don't understand that.
You can also stop pretending that the devs listen to PTB feedback, because we have plenty of evidence that they don't.
Bottom line - we already know the devs aren't good at this game. This is another attestation to that. They nerfed the most balanced killer in the game, and gave a small sort of buff to one of the weakest killers, several years too late. They have demonstrated, once again, that they don't know what they're doing.
If I was this bad at my job, I wouldn't be employed. Must be nice to be a game balancer, especially when you can say ridiculous nonsense like "Clown is underrated" on camera.
When did they say clown is underrated? Because he isn't at all
-
New ds is way stronger since counterplay got removed and the time got increased

But do people need a lgbtq character to show that they are that? I use a girl character, it doesn't mean that I want to be a girl.
Like people can just play any character and assume their role by the player, if they want to use Dwight and make him gay there is nothing wrong with that, if they want to be a Kate and make her a lesb there is also nothing wrong with that.
And Steve deserves better than Nancy and her "bULlsHIt"
Just an opinion, I can be wrong
You right about Steve and Nancy especially season 3 nancy

Oh, come on, now you're just being silly. You didn't have to click on this thread and read it. You didn't have to comment on it. Those were your choices.
It was but it's also the op choice to post it here instead of the more dedicated discussions for it I'm at fault but there are other discussions this could have been posted in

You don't read the lore, which is where it'll be mentioned, so it won't affect you at all. Looks like this problem resolved itself :)
I mean this was posted in the general discussion not lore or off topic so this does affect me in a way

If you don't read lore and say it doesn't matter, why are you complaining about it? The lore is where it'll be mentioned.
Welp time to get banned
I complain about sexuality not mattering to begin with because this is a game about people getting brutally murdered not about what person David or Laurie was dating before they died

Nurse's husband is quite explicitly mentioned in her lore.
If you'd read the devs' tweet, you'd see that the they're just saying that while, originally, they didn't intend to explicitly confirm characters' sexual orientations, they'd already done that with heterosexuals and their vision of the game is not the same as it once was. Therefore, they will go "all in" and just say everyone's orientation.
It amazes me that nobody seemed to notice that some characters already had their orientations "confirmed" and are only making a fuss now that the devs want to confirm more than just heterosexuals' orientations.
I don't really read the lore so it doesn't matter to me also I can't give my opinion in the second half of your statement because it might start an argument someone will probably get offended and I'll get banned

In a game where you get brutally impaled sexuality doesn't matter can we just not mention sexuality at all and leave it up to the fans to interpret in their fanfiction

60 seconds is also long enough for me to get unhooked, work about 40% of a generator (30 seconds or so), get downed, and get up for free with unbreakable (whether by myself or being tapped back up) and still have a few seconds of DS left to spare.
And I know I can do this because I do it all the time. Not like killers have the time to sit over my body or in a general area for even 30 seconds if the other 3 survivors are pushing generators and even if they did do that, when I get unhooked, I'll still have DS again.
Something needs to be done to prevent survivors being able to have this "immunity" time with DS and just shove generators with no regard to the killer and yet punishing the killer for it who otherwise is appropriately slapping my ass to the ground like they should be doing when I, who just got unhooked goes immediately back on a generator.
Or to be more precise, perhaps second chance perks in general need to stop having so much synergy with each other like how synergy with gen slow down perks and add-ons were gutted. Facing multiple second chance perks as killer is equally as obnoxious and oppressive as multiple gen slowdown perks and add-ons were as a survivor.
When did gen slowdown perks get gutted
-
They could just put dying light in reverse at the start of the game and make it not stack with anything
-
Strong survivor perks weak killer perks

If it was a tier list she'd be high c low b

"Years down the line" = Most likely the next mid-chapter patch.
Let's be real we have no idea when the devs will get around to it that's why I said years
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Clown has two definitive advantages over Freddy: his gas is not conditional as far as when it works on survivors, and it can be used to apply exhaustion with a Solvent Jug add on. Eliminating exhaustion perks from a chase before the chase even starts can be massive. Many survivors don't even realize they don't have Dead Hard available until they go to use it
Unfortunately whenever they will decide to touch clown which will probably be years down the line they'll get rid of his exhaustion add-on
-
Option 1 anything a survivor does besides healing or chase related things vaulting putting down pallets ect disables decisive strike.
Option 2 you can't recover while you have ds

Jumping into lockers isn't a strategy, any good killer knows to immediately grab the survivor. Multi-layer protection for 60 seconds is as easily avoidable as just DS in most ways. If you play killer using actual strategy, it's easy to make most survivor perks a waste.
jumping in lockers is a great strategy if you do or don't have ds especially if there are 1-2 gens left since the killer had to make a crucial decision on whether to eat a stun and waste time or ignore the survivor and protect gens which leaves that survivor to do whatever they want
-
@MadLordJack said:
First: it's a 5 second stun, and the biggest distance creator in the game.
Second: the problem with DS is that it is at the core of every multi-layer protection combo. DS/Unbreakable, DS/BT, DS/Adrenaline, DS/Deliverence (questionable, I admit), DS/Inner Strength... The list goes on. These perks are powerful on their own, but you put them together and it's like chocolate and peanut butter. Or, if you are the killer in that situation, shite and vomit. I'm all for perk combo's, but DS is a huge, huge issue simply because you have to play around it's combo's.
Third: it is yet another straw on the metaphorical camel's back, and a very big one at that. Almost a haybale, tbh. You may be of the opinion that killer isn't stressful, but maybe the rest of us don't like playing Dark Souls blindfolded. Confuse 2 survivors and suddenly everyone gets away. Miscount the timer and everyone gets away. Forget who used what perk when and they get away. Play around a DS that's not in the match and they get away. Because of this, a team doesn't even need a single DS to get the benefit. It is an ACTUAL technique to jump in a locker when the killer comes your way WITHOUT HAVING DS. And that's not a red flag? I've gone against teams that run other perks that give an obsession, play super obnoxiously, and still get the benefit because you had no way of knowing that that 1 Claudette had For The People instead of all 4 having DS/Unbreakable.
Lastly: the 60-second slug. The counter that isn't even a counter. The only time slugging the DS works is when they don't jump into a locker AND they don't have a perk to pick themselves up. I'm all for slugging, but a forced 60 seconds where you aren't allowed to hook someone is a bit dumb, especially if the team screwed up. Killer is all about the snowball: a perk to disrupt that for free is bad enough, but a potential 16? Including 1 that works in every situation because it forces another perk to trigger? I just LOVE getting outperked. Boy howdy, it's so fun.
Since when did the devs consider being the obsession a negative? unless someone is the target of rancor or journal Myers being the obsession is a net positive 90% of the time

At the very least, the perk should also bestow endurance to the player with the perk equipped as well, just in case who rescues you doesn’t have BT equipped.
Likewise with Babysitter.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/151399/stop-blaming-ds-for-lack-of-strategy
The reason why current DS is problematic is that it punishes killers who are being efficient and quick at downing survivors without tunneling. Second chance perks such as deadhard, DS, BT, for the people, unbreakable are not "strategy". They are literally perks that give you second chance that let you escape for free, not requiring any skills at all. Same for killer's perk. Imo enduring + spirit fury combo is a bullshit combo that gives you a free down. I don't think fury should exist.
Fury enduring has counterplay by dropping pallets early it's brain dead till it stops working

Candyman is the last man standing from that group. We already have Leatherface, Myers, Freddy, Ghostface, and Pig. Candyman is the most requested classic killer we've never had. Candyman is the most likely candidate, IMO, and I'd love for Candyman to be added to the game. I've been requesting Candyman for years.
Now if you'll excuse me, there's a bee in my room...
Nah the thing would be better

Let enduring only affect DS then? And keep head on stun time the same? Because right now enduring doesn't do anything to head on so it wouldn't be too hard to keep it the exception would it? Getting distance from a pallet from a killer who's using enduring only works if you don't make them break the pallet. I see a LOT of survivors stun the killer then make a beeline straight away from the pallet because they always assume the killer will instantly break it, leading to some of the easiest downs.
Personally I want head-on to be affected too since you can't really punish it unless you see them hop into a locker

As i've said in the previous post it shouldn't because devour punishes altruism and unhooking yourself isn't an altruistic action
-

Your post reminded me of something. When somebody unhooks themselves, with or without deliverance, it won't count towards devour hope. That is most likely intentional but should it be changed so that it works even if they unhook themselves?
Eh not really since I'm pretty sure that'll be too unfair because devour punishes altruism and pulling yourself off isn't an altruistic action
-
It is an anti tunnel perk since its only activation requirement is to get off the hook whether you get pulled off or you pull yourself off
-
Pretty sure it just doesn't reset when you see a survivor
-
It helps him snowball in his power and there isn't a real reason not to run it on him either
-
Prove thyself still isn't a good perk not to mention splitting up on gens is worse than people stacking on gens because it means more gens are done
-
Dying light is a terrible perk imo since it only helps you when your snowballing you're better off using something else

I'll say this once I'll say it again nerf ds so you can't recover it'll make slugging more effective and actually put pressure on survivors and slow the game down because they'll actually need to heal the other person instead on a quick tap and will stop unbreakable/decisive combo
