Object needs a huge nerf maybe half the range

Maybe, but I think there could be an interesting dynamic of it instead of needing you to stop as a killer to get it back you lose 5% move speed, so 115% go to 110% and 110% to 105% for a length of time, this then still lets the killer move but being slower even by a little is rough for killers so the effect gained could be relatively strong especially if the slow effect lasts 60 seconds, as for ideas... killer version of dead hard but it’s a charge? Set transport teleportation stations that are in fixed locations using one gives exhaustion? Quick vault where the killer jumps through the window as quick as a survivor quick vault? Could be interesting indeed.
A killer moving at 105% means a trip to pallet town every time not to mention how detrimental it'll be on the 110% killers
-
Tbh that movie was awful
-
Does surge actually stack with ruin? Because it can't regress something already regressing

balancing will come on to play, it's devs jobs to do so. they can come up with new skills exclusive to the characters like the killers have their powers exclusively to them
The balance ain't that great right now currently now add survivor exclusive skills on top of perks not to mention the months it takes for a map to get a rework not to mention it takes years for killers to get buffs let alone reworks

I totally agree with the p3 claudette, but for some reason the enjoyment of having something only for each character is not present. I just hope devs look on to this, and think about it, traversing to another branch of gameplays for survs.
I'm just saying you'll just have an even worse character meta on top of the perk meta
-
What happens if you don't bring perks

what i'm trying to point out is any unique skills for other characters to be playable aside from cosmetics. of course they also need to think about it. also that opens up more different gameplays than the usual metas.
But you and I both know it will not work that way in practice it's the same reason why your more likely to find p3 Claudette in high rank since it's harder to see her

actually i kinda like what they do with newer maps: have many pallets but therefore have them unsafe.
imo they should rework the older maps to work like that and it'd be a lot better.
Sanctum of wraith has 1 safe pallet I can think of the rest are jungle gyms and shack
-
How about no i'd rather not have 4 broken passives on top of the second chance meta
-
Big no for the reasons everyone else said

@Nakedwildman yes, just you. If Devs give players ability to do something, there will always people who exploit it. Its just the same as Ruin nerf doesnt make Survivors stop Gen rushing.
The game will be in great play if Devs get rid of Gen rush/Tunnel/Facecamp.
I'm fine with Getting rid of gen rushing and camping but the word tunneling is used pretty liberally so can you define what you mean by tunneling

The flash idea is just one of three. You totally wrong about that. It's just a mechanic to avoid direct face camping and not patrol.
"Try playing killer for a month or when you have free time to broaden your perspective"
This helps nothing and will be not tolerated in this discussion.
Direct face camping doesn't work since you can pick up survivors off of multiple angles but if your talking about the killer just sitting next to the hooked person body blocking and bt still exists and even then the killer can still be baited into being around the hook long enough for that penalty not to mention egc camping gets punished and is a literal free escape since the killer has nothing to do but camp also your second suggestion doesn't matter since you lose a lot of points by camping anyway
-
Your idea is terrible and results in a free escape every time since people will just patrol the area when they think a survivor is nearby the hook the killer would get blinded then bt ds adrenaline comes into play and 0k for the killer
Try playing killer for a month or when you have free time to broaden your perspective
-
You forgot to list a positive which is other survivors know your in a chase
-
It isn't consistent across ranks and they are planning to get rid of ranks anyway

I haven't play Oni, but so far what I have see of him in videos... Yes, he seems to have similarities, but I doubt that it is the same game experience as to run wild stabbing behind someone.
But anyways, thanks for the tip, even if it was not really what I had try to descripe.
No I understood what you were trying to describe since legion isn't as "fun" as he originally was and tbf I can see why the devs originally see why the devs destroyed legion instead of overhauling how chases and how deep wounds/borrowed time works
-
@Talmeer said:

We talking here about fun. The question if he is good or bad is secondary in this discussion.
It is just a fact that after the Legion rework, no other killer could cater the old Legion players with a similar gameplay, while others have got another m1 killer in their already overfilled box.
If you have never feel the adrenaline rush while you were hunting a survivor down, you don't know from what we are here talking about :).
Edit: Also nobody had asked for a Legion rework on this scale. To make this rework were their decision. Against all the warnings that we would end up in this situation and well... If someone makes a mess, he has to clean it up. Especially if he has done the mess while everyone has say: "no, not on this way".
Imo oni fits that description of adrenaline rush while hunting survivors down
-
1 old legion even with original deep wounds wasn't super good
2 i'd rather see clown get buffs than legion because legion is in a better spot
-
Lol no I got 6k shards because I was saving up for a legion skin I'll just get the new killer instead
-
If the god loop in rancid abattoir was permanently blocked off and a breakable wall was in the meat hook room it would make the map way better for slower killers
-
Dunno why people think Franklin's is good to begin with if the survivor remembers where they got hit they can easily pick it back up with minimal to no damage
-
@TheDiz said:
from what I read it makes SWF way stronger while destroying solo play which will make me a killer main
Sabo squads aren't fun

Tbh clown is in a way worse spot than legion is
-
Together I'd rather not have 2-3 gens pop at the start

Have all 4 survivors, and killer use the purple fog offering. There's so much fog you'd think you were in silent hill
On a swamp map or lery's
-
I don't use exhaustion perks so I don't really care and only 2.5 killers have exhaustion add-ons demo is the .5 since if people left his portals alone no one would even know he had it
-
Impossible since you can't really prevent it without it being a guaranteed kobe which would be awful for the game
-

Why don't they just change DS to only activate under the same conditions as Borrowed Time? Must be in Killer TR to activate. That might make it more interesting and add some juicy strategies to it.
I rarely ever get hit by it, but it's always someone who got unhooked and jumped right onto a generator, because 60 seconds of gen time = an almost completed gen, and they know it. Frankly, if someone gets on a gen or does anything other than heal/run away, the Perk should deactivate. It can be used later. This would actually provide some more interesting games for the Survivors, because they can then choose when it will go off.
Then it'll be a stealth killer meta then survivors will whine then the stealth killers will be nerfed into the ground while ds will get buffed every patch
-
Oni and legion?
-
There is a massive gap between persona/nier and dbd
-
It's like the 5th or 6th game I play so I got 4 or 5 other games to get bored with before I play this

Literally started doing the same, I have a killer account and started playing survivor on it which will be rank 20. Want to see how far I can get by myself with no perks. Or a useless perk nobody really ever runs like lightweight lol
Lightweight is underrated
-
I'm going perkless nowadays so I can demonstrate my skill instead of being carried by crutches for survivor
-
If you couldn't recover if you had ds I'd be happy since slugging would create pressure and mean something

But on console???? Nurse???
Not many people played nurse before her rework on console even less people do now

@OrangeJack said:
I feel like they are way too quick as a killer. I can find a survivor instantly and down him in no time and still lose two gens by the time they're hooked.
On the other hand m1ing gens is already boring as survivor.
Perhaps a system where the longer you interact with the killer the quicker your personal gen speed is? Whereas people who don't interact and don't win chases against killers have longer gen speeds. if you're hooked it resets.
So people who don't interact do gens at 90% speed and people who do get a gen speed buff 110%?
I haven't thought about this very hard and how tunnelling etc would work with this ^
I honestly disagree with this idea because you'll have more people abusing a god loop than they already are not to mention all the meta perks for survivors right now
-
Gens speed is too fast and it how awful it gets depends on the situation depending on if they decide to stick together or split up and if they split up you have a very high chance of losing especially if they don't 3 gen themselves since you can only chase one person at a time

Is the 5 second warning a carnival theme?

BHVR got lucky with DBD, look at deathgarden, its basically a wasteland and a dead game, because the Devs don't know how to balance.
I'm really hoping Last Year gets more players, as BHVR really needs some competition to stop being lazy. Heck Last Year are doing bug fixes every week, whereas it takes a patch or midpatch to fix some bugs.
BHVR's monopoly in this genre needs to end, or BHVR kills DBD like they did to deathgarden. So far, it looks like Devs are going with option #2
I hope last year comes out on console

The majority of you all missed the point. I dont care about ruin. I didnt use it then I dont use it now but obviously many people did. I am that casual noob player in case you missed it. In the beginning and by day 2 I was easily hitting great skill checks so to say ruin was "difficult" for noobs is ridiculous. Point is, changing this perk has greatly affected this dbd community and not for the better. Can you not see it? If nothing else, ruin gave survivors a reason to get off a gen and pop a totem. It gave killers a second to breathe and made the over all game experience 10 times better. I just want to know, if there are plans to fix the current state or is this it?
This is it unless the newest killer is going to have a ruin equivalent which is unlikely since they aren't touching gen speed and in the future are going to nerf gen slowdown synergy for example thana and dying light
-
I mean ds rewards you for doing nothing and how it's abused a lot by high rank survivors doesn't really help your case since it's still you can still abuse it for a free escape

Yes, but it doesn't change the fact that Survivors have second chance perks and the Killer doesn't.
Killer doesn't have a perk that grants him immunity from getting stunned.
Spirit Fury requires you to go through 3 pallets, which can cost you 2-3 gens just to get one use of the perk.
For survivors they get a second chance when they are injured, when they are unhooked, when they complete generators, when they do nothing but hide in a locker.
Killer's also don't have perks that just let them straight up ignore windows. Which is why I suggest a perk called "X Gon' Give It To Ya" that when the killer vaults a window he breaks through it instead leaving a door.
BHVR likes perks that band-aid remedy things so they have time to fix the problem later. This is a very good band-aid remedy that is also frightening.
2 pallets at tier 3 unless you never got it past tier 2
-
High mobility cept doc who can locate people every minute so he's constantly creating pressure

A bunch of Spirits had literally hundreds of prayer beads stocked up.
You get very rare add ons constantly as killer, Prayer Beads were not rare
If a bunch of spirits have hundreds of prayer beads that means they aren't using them thus its a rare occurrence to go against it

DS buffed? On what planet? The fact that there's a timer at all is a huge nerf. Its called slugging. It works. Even if they stun you, how hard is it to down most survivors again?
Object of obsession still shows the survivor aura when in undetected. That's straight up broken. If auras are blocked they should be blocked for both parties. Not free wall hack for killers with NO DOWNSIDE.
Yes, EGC was implemented to prevent hatch standoffs so now you get auto sacrificed... like I said, free kills.
Slugging ain't really counterplay considering unbreakable and no mither exist no to mention how easy it is to pick them up? And the buffs I mentioned is the counterplay being removed
I mean it only works with certain killers and bop not to mention survivors can do the same thing with distortion and sole survivor
Or if the survivor is actually good at stealth and escapes egc isn't a free kill
-
@heartstone_malone said:
I don't agree because before this one ruin nerf, most of the balance changes were nerfs against survivors. Exhaustion nerf, DS nerfed, undetected status (nerfing OoO, spine chill alert etc.), shortened loops, window vault speeds nerfed, pallet vacuums gone and the end game collapse literally gives us kills.
It's kind of sad because the devs nerf ONE training wheel perk and everything else they've done to improve killer experience goes out the window. It's only logical that they'd have to nerf something for killers after all these survivor nerfs.
Spine chill and premonition buffed against stealth killers since undetectable doesn't work against it ds was actually buffed since it got 2 extra seconds enduring doesn't work against it and dribbling is no longer a thing either
Some loops like long walls still exist and are in favor of survivors
Pallet vacuums aren't gone you can still get pulled back to the pallet and hit the killer
Egc was made to stop hatch standoffs
