I'm pretty sure BHVR didn't buy any licensing for that game, so this is strictly off the record…
-
I'm sure there are plenty of good fits for both roles. However, I would so strongly discourage this collaboration that I'd probably send angry letters, sign up for Twitter and tweet against it, go out on street corners and hand out flyers, contact my congressperson, try to get Big Bird to tell children to object to this, and anything else I could do to stop it.
The reason is that while League has awesome characters, the LoL community is so deeply toxic that I completely quit playing the game even though my friends play it. There were stretches when I found myself sticking up for someone being bullied every day. It was absurd. I wouldn't wish the League community on anyone.
And I don't mean to say your idea is bad in any way. I just don't want DbD attracting the attention of the LoL community.
But it is fun to think of. Oddly enough, Lux is kidnapped by the entity and corrupted, becoming the killer for the chapter as she hunts down Shaco, who is the survivor. But really though, please never ever eber do this collab :)

maybe we play different games, but in my games survivors will always destroy their ctrl when they get to the gate, and the killer will always want to get 4k even if the killer has to wait 4 minutes at the body of the survivor
It sounds like we almost do play two different games. It's extremely rare for me to see survivors teabagging at the gate. Occasionally I'll get someone trying to provoke me into staying in chase by teabagging so their teammates get a chance to finish a gen, but it's been a long time since I saw someone teabag at the gate just to bm.
And as far as killers, I don't play as much survivor as I used to, so I see less now. But when I do play survivor, and when I watch streamers playing, I see a lot of proxy camping, hard tunneling, and slugging for 4k. The finisher mori was what tipped it over the edge for me. There's barely a reason to play that side of the game when most games will have one or more of various bm behaviors and then get capped off by a mori. It's absolutely unrewarding to play survivor. Unfortunately, I'll still play survivor for tomes :(
-
@sanees said:
so instead of a 4-10 second mori animation (the hook animation will take the same amount of time) you prefer that killer, avoiding second chance perks, leaves you on the ground for 4 minutes?
Would you really otherwise waste several minutes of your time and someone else's? A vast majority of players aren't going to do that. This feels very much like a made-up reason to argue for the finisher mori, or maybe trolling. And I don't mean to accuse you of deliberate behavior like that. It's just that the suggestion feels very contrived since I think most of us don't value winning at a game we play for fun so much that we'd wait for several minutes, forcing another player to wait during that time also, just to ensure the other player can't have a chance to enjoy the game.
-
You and I are in agreement. It's been quite some time since the finisher mori was implemented, but it remains the case that there are killers that will slug and wait to get past any obstacles to get their mori. Now, after being slugged for 4k, it's common for a survivor to be picked up, carried somewhere in tbe open, dropped, and then moried. So after having to wait through being slugged for several minutes, the survivor is forced to watch the killer carry them around and do their mori.
Meanwhile, prior to the update, the killer picking you up and carrying you somewhere away from a hook would usually mean they were going to show mercy and probably give hatch. I think I can count on one hand the number of hatches I've seen given since the finisher mori was implemented. And that's not to say it should be expected, but that practice is largely gone.
On top of that, the finisher mori removes the possibility of some of the most exciting endgames, where in the past the survivor and killer might have to deal with a survivor wiggling free after having been dropped, or maybe having used a perk to get free. I find those the most dramatic and fun as a survivor and as killer.
And all of that is so that we have moris be more common, which doesn't add much to the game. BHVR could make it better by putting conditions around awarding the mori so that:
- it's only accessible if slugging for 4k didn't occur,
- only award the mori if the killer carries the survivor to a hook and drops them there, so perks and gameplay aren't bypassed, and
- make the mori skippable by the survivor being moried if they want. So the killer still gets their mori, but the survivor isn't forced to watch it if they feel like it's the killer just showing off or are otherwise not wanting to watch the mori.
That could be used to make moris available more often while not impacting the game in a negative way, and even improve the game overall by discouraging slugging for 4k. But there's still an issue that it has led to lower rates of people giving hatch, which doesn't need to be a thing, but does seem to have a positive impact on the community. Overall, I agree, and would prefer that the finisher mori be removed. Maybe I'd get excited to play survivor again :)

Yup idk why they do not remove this button for a so called test stated by Mandy it already is being used maliciously and should have been gone and not even added. This is literally reddit 2.0
Agreed. Downvotes are annoying, and make me want to interact here less. There are now a lot of cases where people are being downvoted, but don't have any way of understanding what part of their statement was disliked. That makes interactions here seem less useful.

I'm assuming you're new because you're making claims that aren't even in the game. For example, you claimed stealth killers dont need time in order to be undetectable. Anyone with a basic level of understanding on how the game plays would realize this just isnt true. Despite your claim that ghostie can stealth whenever he wants and not need time to do it, he absolutely has cooldowns and absolutely needs time to be undetectable. It would be no different if someone posted asking how to get weapons to kill the killer - id assume they are new because their statements make no sense to anyone who actually plays.
You say ghostie being on cooldown means he made a mistake. Thats just simply not true. Heck, even being revealed by a survivor isn't necessarily a mistake. Popping a quick stealth to 99 someone during a chase to allow them to escape for an exposed hit later even if they get revealed right after is a bread and butter move for ghostie that puts him on cooldown. That's not a mistake, either.
You're whole thing here isn't about buffing killers, you're whole thing here is entirely focused punishing them for "mistakes". A smaller TR always helps. Your suggestions only help under specific ccircumstances and rip it away if the killer makes mistakes. These killers are already very weak - they don't need further punishments. What they need are reliable buffs, and a smaller TR is low hanging fruit for the devs.
Weapons to kill the killer may be found in a locker after working a while on a generator. Alternatively, you may simply place a different weapon on a pallet if you have also worked on gens for some time ;)

Stealth killers don't have any significant map mobility. I main Pig, and I see the drop in terror radius as a good way to get closer to where I think a survivor is before I need to crouch. Basically, it makes up for a lack of map mobility in several situations, decreasing the time between downs a small amount and enabling easier switching between targets if there's a perceived need to drop chase and get to a nearby gen that likely has a survivor on it.
In the case of Pig, why not make her faster in crouch? I don't know. I could make a guess that maybe the issue is about positioning during crouch. Once crouched, Pig has to move into an optimal position to uncrouch and rapidly hit. The devs may have thought that being able to move faster during crouch would make her gain just slightly too much distance in cases when survivors identify her position prior to the m1, meaning that when Pig screws up or the survivors do their job and notice her, Pig might get hits much more often than now. I can see how that might get extra oppressive against newer survivors. But that's just a guess :)

I mostly watch streamers for the vibe they keep in their channel. And I love it when streamers enforce respect for whoever they're playing against. With those things in mind:
Favorites: Slate, DeadlyKitten, TheFancieMan
Runners up: Lyncubus, TotalGranny, CapnFister, Ollybot, Hens

I agree with this.
However, I would also like to advocate for Trapper getting chase music that's just the song 'Here Comes the Trapper' from the Samination cartoons.

It depends on my mood. I refuse to outright sacrifice someone who gives up though. Usually if this happens, I'll either down them or maybe be goofy if I'm in a playful mood.
Downing the survivor forces them to stay in the game and sometimes gets them back on task. I don't want survivors giving up from the killer or survivor perspective. It also gives the other survivors some sort of chance to keep playing the game without missing a teammate.
Sometimes I'll just play around. I'm also a Pig main, so it's easy for me to get them to boop the snoot if I want to be playful :)
Having said that, in Pig matches I actually follow a kind of eccentric interpretation of Pig law. I try to not let the survivors get a chance to boop the snoot. And most get too scared to try as soon as I go at them. Boops from across pallets aren't accepted. It must connect with the snoot to count. But every survivor who boops lives, (except bullies; anyone participating in a bully squad is not permitted to boop... they get slugged and hooked). The reason I said all that Pig stuff is this extremely rare exception: if a match becomes all farming and goofing off, I'll sacrifice people who ask for it, assuming they just want to go to their next match. But no abandoning your team when they need you!

I quit (both game & forum) at the end of November last year.
As someone who has ptsd & other issues video games were always my only escape during very dark times. My real life took another grim turn at the beginning of February & honestly I really shouldn't be here right now!
But with the resolve of one incredible person I am & as I always do I go to video games to ignore everything burning down around me!
While overwatch is my main game & has been for a couple of years i've got almost 16,000 hours on dbd across 6 systems & the past couple of weeks I've started to love the game again, knocked out loads of old skipped tomes on both killers & survivors in 2 vs 8
Not remotely looking forward to fnaf & not sure i'll be there for it, physically or just in gaming terms but until then interested to see what the changes actually do & how much they address in reality.
This isn't supposed to be a feel bad for me or negative post either, my life is what it is, but I truly celebrate the magic of video games (whatever that game might be) for giving billions of players an escape & entertainment!
Play the side you want, play how you want, but do try & enjoy it or find something else to fulfill you! 🫶
Me too on a number of these things. I use games to distract myself from multiple major tragedies that have changed the course of my life in the last few years. At one point, I wondered if I was playing habitually for an unhealthy amount of hours. Something I've found useful is to ask myself why I play these games. Is it for fun? Is it an escape? What am I going to gain from it? Sometimes when things are too much, DbD is a nice escape. Other times, I find I don't need an escape and instead just wait to play when it makes sense. Anyway, I wanted to let you know you're not alone in sometimes needing to ignore the real world for a bit. And when that's needed, DbD is a fairly healthy escape, at least for me :)
-
This 2v8 seemed better to me than the last two. The way that tunneling, camping, and being moried as the last survivor are all less common made me excited to play survivor again.
Then I played some 1v4 and remembered why I quit playing survivor. So my feeling about DbD depends on what role I'm playing for now. For me, killer is fun! Survivor isn't worth the headache.
-
Chem trap is a funny perk. I like it from both sides. If a survivor is carrying around a Chem Trap and a lute, I start wondering if they have a bag of holding.

You claim that it have become more common now, because of the finisher mori. - This is what i am challenging.
Do you really wanna see that same mori every 15 minutes? - Yeah its cool the first time, and perhaps the 5 first times, but at some point it just becomes marginal how cool it is to watch it over and over.
The only reason i use it, if i am playing killer, is to save time going to the hook (this saves time for both sides).
Do you want both sides to have more wasted time? because that is what will happen if the mori gets removed. The slugging for the 4k will still happen, just as it did before the basekit-mori was implemented.
Please, and I mean this as politely as possible, show me where in the comment of mine that you replied to that I said anything at all about the finisher mori.
You'll find that's not possible because I said nothing about it in this thread. Furthermore, you have accused me of saying things I have never said at all in my life.
This feels like the equivalent of me going to a member of the forum who I know thinks tunneling is a fine strategy and starting a debate with them even though they didn't say anything about it.
Perhaps you've confused me with the op?

It doesn't hurt the game, as you're implying. In fact, it plays around dumb scenarios when an exit is open but you had to drop a survivor because there's no near hooks. Usually, that survivor would get to crawl out for free. If the base mori is there, you actually get the kill you earned. I guess even that is killer having "too much."
I've had these situations too. If I am forced to drop a survivor and they crawl free, that means I didn't earn the kill.

it was not ment as dismissive or demeaning in any way, but i legit dont have any way of know how long you played, and i think the fact that you claim that slugging for 4k was not a thing before the base-kit mori suggested that you were new. I am sorry if you took offense to that.
You might notice that my comment didn't mention the finisher mori at all. Instead, it was addressing this idea that hatch causes slugging for 4k. It simply does not. Slugging for 4k could not exist without hatch, but hatch does not cause slugging for 4k. It's the same way that carjackings cannot exist without cars, but cars do not cause carjackings.
Same can be said about the base-kit mori.
I have never said that slugging was not a thing before the finisher mori.
Also, the finisher mori can exist independent of these mechanics we're talking about.
My comment said literally nothing about the finisher mori. There's absolutely no reason to mention it in response to the comment I made.

It does, im not sure if you are new to the game, but a lot of killers slugged 3rd kill before basekit mori was implemented to avoid the hatch spawn and get the 4k.
Ugh... I'm so tired of seeing that kind of dismissive response. I am not new to the game, nor am I unaware that slugging for 4k happened before the finisher mori.
You might notice that my comment didn't mention the finisher mori at all. Instead, it was addressing this idea that hatch causes slugging for 4k. It simply does not. https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/439479/issues-with-basekit-mori
Slugging for the 4k have nothing to do with the basekit mori, it existed in most games before that, because of the hatch.
Remove both or remove none.
Hatch doesn't cause slugging for 4k. Just because an obstacle to a person's goal exists, that doesn't mean the obstacle is causing that person to find a way to simply circumvent the obstacle. Imagine if someone running hurdles just decided to go around the hurdles because they're in the way, and then told other people that what they did is a totally valid tactic to win the race. In DbD, the main difference is that bypassing the obstacle hasn't been made strictly against the rules yet.
Hatch was implememted because of a fundamental flaw in the game design: Killers are meant to sacrifice the survivors while survivors are meant to survive and escape the trial. On it's own, that's not a problem. But if the game snowballs, one survivor will be left to do two or more gens, which is a hopeless situation. At that point, the game should naturally shift to the last survivor hiding and trying to very slowly work generators. The survivor can't escape the trial if they're sacrificed, so they hide. But people broadly don't like this for a couple reasons. Most killers find it boring, and most survivors find it hopeless and possibly boring also.
Hatch is designed to prevent this from happening. It provides a realistic way for the last survivor to escape, giving them a reason to play out the endgame. By doing that, it also prevents a long drawn-out game of hide-and-seek since the survivor has a strong incentive to actively try to escape. Meanwhile, the hatch mechanic is designed in a way that still favors the killer: the killer has higher move speed than the survivor, and doesn't need to hide if the survivor shows up. In that way, hatch solves the problem of a long hide-and-seek match which naturally would be the end of almost every game otherwise. The killer maintains their good outcome for the match (they have their 3k locked in), and are likely to still get a 4k. But now the survivor literally can't hide forever because egc will trigger if hatch is closed.
Slugging for 4k happens because some players refuse to be satisfied with anything but a practically guaranteed 4k. The killer will still win most hatch races, but some players nevertheless want to get an easy fourth kill by forcing the game into exactly the state hatch was meant to prevent. Hatch isn't causing slugging for 4k, players wanting an easy fourth kill is what's causing it.
-
I kind of wonder why they put a limit. Isn't the number of each offering or item you have just a value in a file on their servers? Having 10^3 of something seems pretty similar to having 10^5 of the same item in terms of the way I'd expect item recording to be done. Maybe the bigger numbers aren't as easy to display?

My guy, do not read the changes coming? Survivors aura will now be revealed to the killer's when its the last two when gens or nothing is being done.
It a bannable offense as in bvhr's rule that survivors ( the last 2) doing nothing is reportable which is 0 sense cause that is what the term surviving mean which is usually an unwinnable situation when its down to just 2.
Killers have abudances of perks to find survivors like good old spies and whispers can even work if they decide to use lockers. Yes killers should be punished for being greedy slugging third for fourth when the third willingly show themselves up to move on to the game.
Its like what you killers want? Last two hiding you complain but if third player show themselves you slug and look for fourth. A 3k is a win for me and I care not if the 4th get away oh well it aint the end of the world and am not getting 1million dollar prize. My viewers to me as a streamer is more important than 4k.
Yeah, honestly that aura update is going to be kinda crazy. I have never had a pair of survivors manage to both hide long enough for me to get annoyed at the situation, much less be something that would come close to holding the game hostage. In that context, aura reading seems a bit much. Killer instinct feels more appropriate, since it forces the killer to still hunt, but also isn't blocked by lockers. In that way, killer instinct generates a tense hunt that I find fun :)
I get that crazy hiding does happen occasionally because people do talk about it, but I've seen more instances of survivors taking a coordinated jog in a line around stuff on the map than I've seen this. Admittedly, a couple times, I've managed to join the survivors for a group jog.

I was killing no one, just 2 hooks each, so no hatch could spawn.
That makes sense. I guess what I was getting at is that I think people appreciate when I clearly have won the match and then give them an escape. Maybe they feel more like it's generosity at that point when it's clear they're being shown mercy. Or maybe it's clear to your survivors that they're being given an escape, but it's a regional thing?
I have to admit that a killer who just gave everyone two hooks was always refreshing in the past, and I usually appreciated the competition and the followup generosity. If you swing your MMR back up and pull that with a cracked Nurse on me, I'll thank you in the lobby :)

No thing I do on any killer, aside from deliberately using the most hated tactics listed here increases interaction rates.
My point was, playing nice, painfully so, effects nothing.
Ah, that could be the difference. I give hatch a lot, and the hatch recipients usually do the ggs and ty stuff.

That's a funny thing to say because I went and did that, but not with the goal of easier matches.
On the way down through the MMR ranks, and I did this for a few hundred hours of play on one killer I found a few segregations of survivors. Right now I'm in the realm of the failed. I mean, I think I'm below where players start, its that bad in a coordinated game play sense. Individually its a very mixed bag down here, some of them clearly know about collision and object sizes, and specific counters to this killer, others are just drunk or messing around, and some are clearly first match types. I did this because I really needed to know if they'd get less upset if they didn't die. They just leave after each match regardless of whatever else I do, they are not allowed to die on the hook( incidentally the new anti face camping thing has been a huge help in this at times.), and I'll carry them to toss out if I have to. I of course use no disfavored tactics. And it makes no difference in the vast majority of games, I still collect the same amount of venom and salt. Very occasionally someone says thanks. And these experiences like nothing else said about this game proved to me that the community here can not feel satisfied while maintaining any semblance of balance in this game.

I'm curious how many people will stay in a lobby where someone brought No Mither?
-
I generally agree with what op said, for both survivors and killers. Some of the details can get controversial on both sides, so I'll avoid discussing those for now, but I do generally agree. One thing I'm not sure about though is exactly how MMR is implemented in DBD.
Like, how often is your MMR updated in a way that impacts your matchmaking? Is it faster to climb MMR than drop? There's at least one tier where once you rise out of it, you can't drop back into it, but is that true for all MMR ranges? Are matches determined in a way that takes into account the nearest MMR players currently available to match in your lobby, or are we all just grouped in bins (e.g. low, mid, high)?
I think I could personally try to understand these issues better if I knew some of those things for certain. I do know that there are benchmarks that can tell if a player has risen out of certain MMR ranges since you'll stop seeing certain things in your matches and get more sophisticated opponents/teammates. But the fine-scale details are less clear to me.
-
These are predominantly awesome ideas.
The coding effort to add voice lines and chase music should be pretty minimal, so the only question is whether the monetary gain is there for BHVR to do all the licensing and swapping out or triggering of some sounds. I'd pay money to have those on my Pig. And since Saw XI is coming up, now is probably a great time for BHVR to try to capitalize on how loyal we Pig mains are to our mistress of boops.
The dragging animation sounds fun too. It fits canonically, and in a sort of meta sense would be a solid nerf, which as we all know, Pig is constantly in dire need of.
Overall, the timing is good for this as long as there's enough player interest in a Saw update. And I'd definitely enjoy some of these things!
-
@ChainsLogic said:
Downvotes definitely need to go. I just made a post on Singularity changes, and despite knowing the nerfs I proposed are reasonable, I also know that many Singularity players are biased, and by the downvotes/upvotes dynamic you would think my idea is awful, but none of the comments actually provide any arguments against my points, all of them are either "No" or "I think the latest changes made Singularity better to play"
Exactly. I haven't read your proposed changes, but this is the problem with downvotes. If your proposed changes are agreed with by others, you'll get upvotes. No further discussion needed since that implies an agreement with what you say. But downvotes imply a disagreement while not saying what the disagreement is about and what others think is the right take on the issue. When that happens, we can't get any information about what the solution should be, so this really just makes the community more angry and hostile.
Forgive the language, but downvotes are the equivalent of those people on Reddit who just say "That's a **** take." (I pre-censored to avoid breaking any forum rules because I'm over-cautious.) That sort of comment does the same thing as a downvote, in the sense that both make it impossible to have a useful discussion about the topic.
-
I agree. The implementation of downvotes is likely to lead to less real engagement on this forum since people can simply downvote instead of talking to other participants, which is absolutely critical for a useful exploration of people's thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
If I post something or respond to a comment, and then someone simply downvotes instead of commenting back, we have no way of knowing what parts of my thoughts they disagree with and what parts (if any) they agree with, and we have no way of knowing what their thinking is on whatever issue is being discussed. That means it becomes impossible to find out the real diversity of player/participant opinions on those issues.
Also, as others have pointed out, this is likely to lead to some people not wanting to post at all because they know their opinion is likely to be in the minority. But those people also deserve to have their opinions heard. I might not agree with people who support early game tunneling, camping, or bully squads, but that doesn't mean that people who do support those things shouldn't have their opinion heard or be forced to endure dozens of downvotes. And we're already seeing that happen. If we want to indicate that we disagree with those opinions, we should explain to those people, and to BHVR, why we think that way.
Interestingly, I like this forum much more than the other popular forum that has downvotes. That place has an unusually high number of people talking at each other and not with each other. People can literally just shout each other down there, seemingly without consequence. Part of what makes this forum better appears to be the result of the need to engage in discussion rather than simply press the downvote button. I honestly don't trust the dbd reddit to reflect the diversity of player experiences at all.
Don't get me wrong, this approach could suppress some trolls, but it may come at a much greater cost than the small benefit we stand to gain.

I think it's a bad idea to have downvotes.
Psychologically all humans get a small dopamine hit for every upvote, but have a much stronger reaction to a downvote. Even those who think they don't care, are still manipulated by this somewhat to alter their behaviour, e.g. some almost go out of their way to get downvotes to minimise its psychological impact on themselves.
What this means is people become reluctant to say what they actually think unless what they say happens to be the popular opinion, and this of course leads to the echo chambers we see on social media platforms, where everyone parrots the popular view with no actual arguments, and few people are willing to speak out against the popular view for fear of being ratioed.
This effect is somewhat already in place for just up votes, but the difference is an informed opinion and/or well reasoned argument that opposes yours often gets upvoted instead of your own. Often you still get upvotes from those that agree with you, but anyone with some self awareness will still realise their view is the less agreed with, and that doesn't have anywhere near the same level of psychological impact as being mass down voted... so people still generally say what they think. Downvotes strip that away, and manipulates people to form into mobs or cliques.
I myself am aware of my own issues with being manipulated by social media, it's the main reason I came off all other social media platforms. Even though I am aware of its impact on my behaviour, I can still be heavily manipulated by it, and it takes considerable effort to rise above it... effort most people won't or can't do.
The result is downvotes tend to discourage discussion and instead discussions trend towards click bait/buzzwords and discrediting your opponent by parroting whatever the latest trend is to rally support from the masses instead of discussing the issue...
What they should be, is discussions where perspectives are challenged and creditted based on the evidence brought for the respective arguments... and a downvote eliminates all need to actually engage with the opposing point of view.
So if it were me... I'd definitely not keep this feature. 😁
I agree with the opinion of this popular person. Like, for real... Downvotes seem likely to create a sort of chilling effect where people with legitimate thoughts or opinions that aren't in the majority will choose not to voice them. While it's likely that combining downvotes with upvotes could be used as a way to directly compare supporting and opposing viewpoints on certain topics, that seems better left to polls. Polls instead allow people to downvote things without incidentally leading to the suppression of new ideas. Well said @UndeddJester!

I might not have been clear enough. When I said if anybody cares about this, it's immature, I meant that if the killer was gloating and actually cared so much that they beat someone in a video game that they need to rub it in, It's immature. Not caring about the gloating. And when I said there isn't any point caring about it, I'm not trying to invalidate ops feelings. I'm just trying to say it would be a waste of time and energy to do so, because I used to get quite mad when an opponent gloating, but I realised it's much easier to move on. English is not my first language so I try to be as articulate as possible, but I often word things terribly, so that's my bad.
That makes sense. In that way, you were kind of saying "Those people aren't worth worrying about." Kind of like the advice people give about real life bullies or jerks. And there's definitely something useful about that outlook.
I think in games like this, we're also kind of forced to deal with some number of people who want to be mean, so we need both outlooks. We need to care less about the bullies, but we also need to be proactive about making sure everyone at least has a chance to enjoy their time playing. I think that's part of what makes people play 2v8. Teleporting to hooks with unknown locations makes it hard to tunnel, hooks move to a new location if abkiller tries to camp, and I know I like the low probability of getting moried, so I've played survivor more than normal in 2v8.

I'm a meme Pig as long as it's not Black Jacket goofin hours. If I get a boop it's all over for me…It's like my kryptonite. Instant connection and that surv is gonna probably get gate or hatch. Unfortunately, boops have been few and far between recently...
Looks to the north wind
I don't play a lot of survivor anymore, but if I see a Pig, I still usually try to boop at some point. Sometimes it's as soon as I see the Pig, but I've actually been granted more boops when I get chased and acknowledge they've got me.
I remember one time when I was up against a Pig who definitely had me, so I turned around and pressed the button to put me in the point animation as I took the hit that downed me. So actions went like this: (1) Pig hits me to put me in the dying state, (2) snoot booped, (3) I collapse immediately after boop animation is done. That Pig picked me up and let me wiggle off and live :)

Ok, so it's a spite thing.
You realise that there really isn't any point in caring about a killer getting to watch an animation after winning?
Also, having no hooks while your entire team is dead? Maybe you should be more of a team player, then you wouldn't be the last person mori'd.
Not many killer players would doing this to 'rub salt in the wound' or 'get the last laugh'. If anybody actually cares about that, they are simply just immature.
It's not immature to not enjoy an opponent in a game gloating. It's generally considered bad sportsmanship to do something that can be considered showing off once a game is won. And a lot of killer players slug for 4k, and then follow it up by waiting for the third survivor to be sacrificed while they stand over the fourth waiting for their free mori so they can show off that they won. That can certainly feel like rubbing the victory in.
Also, why are you telling op that there's not any point in caring about something? They clearly care about it, and we shouldn't just say "There's no point for you to do this." That seems a lot like saying op's feelings are invalid. If you think they shouldn't care about it, it would be good to talk about why they shouldn't. Like when people say "Oh, that person's a bully, don't pay any attention to them."
However... having no hooks shouldn't be happening often at endgame. No arguments there. In the few games where I play survivor these days, if I don't have any hooks and I have teammates are on death hook, I go get the killer's attention.

Same survivors will tea bag until the egc timer hits the last second or until theyre pushed out. But a mori on the last survivor? Thats apparently a problem. Can dish it out but cant take it.
This doesn't make any sense. There's no reason to believe that op does these things. I'm quite tired of hearing "You survivors do stuff... " or "You killers do stuff..." in response to some issue someone has.
If someone talks about an issue they have, it's not valid to just bring up something entirely different to say said person's issue invalid.

That is a HUGE survivor mistake and I think you should absolutely punish it, and not even feel a little bad about it. They need to learn not to do that. I beg you punish those mistakes or they’re going to get extra boosted in solo.
I agree, and normally it's pretty rare to see that outside of certain bully squads. But I had it happen with two groups recently. I felt bad running back to the hook, but I think that can't become an expectation to just unhook immediately. And imagine if it were other people... I suspect a nonzero number of killers would go "Great! Now that person has two hooks!"
-
I struggle when someone does an unhook within five seconds of me walking away from the hook. I might be snuffing a totem or kicking a gen and, boom, unhook so close I can hear loud whines from the unhooked survivor. It's one of the rare scenarios where I'll return to the hook. I hate doing that. I chase the unhooker, but I feel like I'm telling the unhooked survivor that they don't deserve to be healed. Having said that, it's a valid tactic to try to keep me from pressuring gens that are almost done.

I liked that idea, so I gave you another upvote ;)

A post from 2023... let's be realistic, Behaviour doesn't care about these killers, the community itself doesn't care about these Killers (more of a meme reason) it was a miracle what happened with Freddy but I still don't expect Ghost/Pig/Trickster/SkullMerch to have the same Buff that Freddy got... we are 1% that nobody cares about and we will have to suffer with Pig or change Main unfortunately
I think Nun_So_Vile meant that more forum members who spend time there would be receptive. I don't agree that Pig needs major buffs, but that thread is a long-running location for Pig mains and Megs in Pig masks to discuss all things Pig related 👉🐽

Pulsar is a long standing forum goer whose posts have been often agreed with here, many times including me should we agree. Or find what was said funny.
Certainly not a cult thingy, nor a bot. The only cult in know of around here are the good folks who revere Lightborn fervently.
lol Lightborn ;)
I think I picked that perk twice. It probably does make sense for people who are still learning to check nearby corners if someone has a flashlight, face walls during pickups, and look up during flashbangs though. But the couple times when I used it because I saw a bunch of flashlights in my lobby, I just wished I had some other perk instead.

The proposed changes don't sound like they're anti-killer at all. They sound like they're meant to make the game playable for survivors instead of letting them get tunneled out at five gens due to flawed game design. Done right, this could be a major improvement to the game.
Personally, I see most of the things listed as unlikely to change my killer gameplay at all.
