It was until they added killers like Bubba that made basement absurdly dangerous.
Just cause it wasnt a problem in the past, doesnt mean it isnt now, thats the thing, the game changes, and so far the basement has become worse and worse to the point of being absurd with some killers.
The thing is, the survivor controls the chase in terms of where they end up.
The shack is an optimal spot for looping, sure, but if the basement is in shack and you're worried about a specific killer guarding it or making it harder to escape from, I'd argue not to take that killer over to it lol.
-
The entire point of the basement is that it's a big environmental threat, hence why the hooks don't break and why there are 4 of them.
I get the line of thinking in this thread, but I'd argue it isn't a problem because that's the entire point of it.
-
I've p3ed some survivors (including Jill and Leon after only being out less than a month!), gotten a ton of cakes, and gotten some good perks from the shrine. Also got a few adepts out of farming matches, even if that's a cheap way to get them lol
Overall, very well! I just wish the glaring lag and performance issues didn't hinder everything.
-
They're the survivor equivalent of hexes. You take a risk running them and hope they really pay off.

sounds like they should play civ or something else if they cant handle going against x killer. You know the other 4 people paid for the game too? Also victim blaming lmao. The other 4 players are the victims of one entitled brat.
Between the cliche civ comment, calling people “victims” for a dc (lmao), and the generalizing comment of “typical survivor” you used earlier, you’ve made it clear you’re in your feelings way too deep about a casual game.
DCing is an immature move, but you can’t control other people, and with how terrible the game is running currently, you can’t feasibly keep a penalty up.
Maybe some fresh air or another game would do you some good.
-
This is just sad. I’d be surprised if dbd makes it to a 6th anniversary after the way the last two weeks have gone, if only because the game itself couldn’t handle another years’ worth of content.

So because console performance is bad, you're going to purposefully get fewer points and make other players get fewer points? How is that supposed to help?
With the way my gameplay on PS4 has been going this week, there's no way I'm wasting a 105% cake when my chase ends in 5 seconds because a killer magically pops up behind me multiple times, or I teleport in zig zags and end up caught on a wall when running toward a pallet.
-
Yeah, agreed to an extent.
I think they all look great texturally, I just wish the aesthetics were tweaked a bit in some of them (Macmillan darker and bluer, Auto having a bit more contrast, Yamaoaka and Crotus getting just a little more color to them)
I do think Ormond, Springwood, Coldwind, and Gideon all look wonderful though. I particularly love the lighting in Coldwind even though a lot of people think it's too bright.
-
Genrushing because most Nemesis I've faced proxy camp the hook by running in big circles around it repeatedly, or planting themselves on a hill and waiting for someone to come to it lol
-
"New" sadly there's nothing new about it my friend lol
-
Legitimate play-styles on both sides are not toxic, they are legitimate play-styles, no matter how unfun or frustrating
-
I'm not using a legendary but that is so cool. Also reminded me to look for Jill.
Sorry Cheryl, but you're retired for a while.
-
Too many people were receiving penalties for the game's own flaws itself due to the new chapter release
It's frustrating of course, but it's temporary
-
Unfortunately, all you can do is let them bleed out in this instance.
-
Do you ask all of these questions of others to avoid answering any of them yourself?
-
Agreed, now if only it had more than 3 tokens.

Welcome to Dead by Daylight in 2021.

It's my name here! scenekiller

Jill's perks are actually pretty good. Resurgence in particular has come in clutch a lot when getting healed at hook, which is when a good portion of heals in red ranks happen. Counterforce definitely has its uses, since a lot of killers run hexes. Obviously Blast Mine and Flashbang are fairly good too.
Nemesis is good but easy to counter in a lot of ways, so I wouldn't say he's op. it's natural to not know how to counter a new killer right away - it just takes time.
-
As a solo survivor main 95% of the time:
20k bps or more per match - enough to have done some significant gameplay and feel challenged yet have fun.
Escape or die is no consequence to me unless there's a challenge for it.
-
Do some of you people who make these threads even play the game? lol
-
Literally the only accurate thing in that mess of text is that solo queue is horrendous right now.
-
At least change her hatchets to boomerangs if they're gonna keep the ability to hit people around corners.
-
Currently, other than Spirit, it's Wraith
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad our boy got some love because he needed it. But man is he annoying now lol
Also, I despise Hag, but I always have lol
-
I try not to ever discuss her or acknowledge her existence if I can help it lol
-
I'm not sure many people are sad about this honestly lol

lol at everyone saying bait. Youre just delusional. Killers get ran round all game flashlighted everytime they pick someone up, 40 seconds in and 3 gens have popped etc.
this game is extremely survivor biased. Their jobs are simple, they just have to not screw up. Killer actually have to make an effort to get any value.
1 survivor can loop the killer for 2-3 mins around pallets and windows. All while the 3 others get freedom to do gens. Its disgusting and they need to nerf survivors simple as.
Sure, everyone is delusional but you. Sounds rational.

I'll raise you HadNoFun, The Game, Badhams 1-5 with school of pain and house of pain, Mothers Dwelling/Red Forest, Ormond. I can go on. But you get the point
To be fair, even with all the pallets they added, most survivors are potato and don't use them optimally (in solo anyway), so The Game just isn't fun for anyone lol
-
I hope you feel better after getting it all out.
-
They picked the most recognizable Chris aesthetic, so I think it's a perfect choice.
-
I browse them while I'm at my work desk, just to pass time and for some entertainment lol
-
This has been the same experience for me in solo queue, and as a result I've been actively playing in a SWF hit squad for the last 6 months.
Killers often complain about SWFs being "op" and needing "nerfed" but fail to realize a lot of them are the direct cause of SWFs.

Cant solve your spelling issues though
Can't* since we're going after typos like a 10 year old lol

This has affected everyone regardless of whether they purchased it or not, but good talk chief.

Then dont play, at least your wallet wont be affect. It’ll just be your sanity lol
What great advice to give to someone who paid for a game and expects it to work - just don't play it! You seem very solution-oriented.
-
Because people continue to line their pockets so they don't take the time and effort to optimize and work on game health.

Refunds for the people who spent actual money, or more bp than the current cap can handle.
I agree with the second one. Possibly some auric cells and shards in place of refunds? This is just a horrible mess all the way around, and it keeps getting worse with each chapter lol.
-
Unless their player numbers and cash flow from DLCs both drop, they won't address game health any time soon lol.
-
That's the least of their worries right now I'm afraid lol
-
What do you suggest then?
-
They really need to take a break from DLC and new features, and focus a good amount of time and energy on game health. The problems keep getting worse with every chapter.

This is, for some reason, the first time I realized that we never got a Sidney. Why not?
They didn't get the actual rights to Scream, just the Ghost Face mask itself. Hence why it's technically an original character in the lore.

All I'm saying is the old version looked more like Jamie than the new one if we can't have Jamie of like a look alike
The old version looked like a weird mannequin with thinning hair. This one looks way more like JLC in motion, as seen in the video.
-
If it's that much of a problem, bring Mad Grit.
-
Yun-Jins are cocky, toxic, and think they're better than their skill levels actually are lol
-
They have a hard enough time balancing new content to account for everything in their 1v4 mode, 2v8 would be a nightmare.
Personally, I think their energy would be better spent working on a casual mode vs a competitive mode.
-
I really hope, if nothing else, this leads to them making an entire practice mode out of bots, so players can test out new perks/killers/etc without risking their ranks and pips.
-
My biggest question concerns the intricacies of how this will work.
5 totems on each map. Let's say, the killer brings 4 hexes as a build, and all 4 survivors bring one boon, for a totel of 8 totems in theory. How does the game determine which perks are active and which perks aren't?
Will they increase totems? 5 for each side, maybe? Will survivors be able to "cleanse" hexes by replacing them with boons?
So many specifics I want to know about lol.

Cheryl: Huge SH fan, plus her P3 outfit is one of, if not, the best P3s in the game
Laurie: Similar to Cheryl - huge Halloween fan as well, and her P3 (minus the head, sub with the gold locks) is also great
Claudette: my first character I ever played in DBD, the first character I got all teachables on, the first character I bought a cosmetic for. Just a lot of nostalgia attached to her, plus I try to help get rid of the "Blendette" stereotype lol
