A lot of people just don't know how to express themselves properly, that's the main problem.
-
Just get the pips back if you miss them that badly
-
Unfun =/= weak
Twins are not weak, just not fun for either side lol
@Jarol said:
The last 2 chapters show giving more priority to the surviving side by giving us weak killers, I hope they give us a killer op and not in Tier c, it would be a disappointment for a chapter like RE.
No, they don't lol. The "survivor-sided/killer-sided" arguments are a myth people spread when they don't get their way 100% of the time.

They said no new maps until current ones have been reworked. Still got 3 left, so they would be going against there word.
I hope there's 6 maps 🙃
I'm pretty sure they have less control over that aspect when it comes to negotiating licenses. All chapters since Realm Beyond have been original, where as Capcom may require one to be made in order to grant them the rights.
At least, this is what I'm hoping happened lol
-
As long as they leave Cheryl out of it, I'm ok with it
-
@Cornpopers_Evan said:
Just to throw my hat in the ring, I'm hoping to see Jill and Leon as the survivors and, of course, Nemesis as the killer.
Also, I don't want to get anyone up in arms but... according to certain rumors there's, apparently, no new map found within the code. That said though, I TRULY hope there's a new map in here because going over a year without any new maps included is just, woof and not only just that but not getting a RE location would be a BIG missed opportunity. If we do get a map, it'll probably be either the Spencer Mansion or the RPD.
If there's no map for Resident Evil of all things, I'd not only be ashamed in Capcom for not being forceful about it's inclusion, but I just flat out won't buy the chapter.
I understand not doing new original maps, but it's just ridiculous to overlook making one for a huge license in order to hamfist these graphical updates in, especially when they didn't even do 2 realms this last update.
-
There will definitely be a new map. There's no way they'd snag a huge license like this (for TWO anniversaries, no less) and NOT have a map.
-
Unpopular opinion: DS has never been a good anti-tunneling perk, even pre-nerf. So yes, we do need more.
A minuscule stun for being tunneled isn't and has never been effective enough. And slugging to avoid it is even worse.
-
As a solo survivor main, I've found that most of my teammates simply haven't adapted to learning a new way to play against Wraith because they're so used to him sucking lol
-
I only stay if I haven't accounted for all teammates. Otherwise yeah, I completely agree lol

Using BT for bodyblocking is pretty much abusing the perk, it's supposed to discourage tunneling which is why most killers go for the unhooker after someone uses BT in front of them.
It's a strategy that I'm fine with but it's honestly annoying to go against.
This is true and I agree it's annoying and a careless play most times, I just wonder how we draw the line between acceptable and unacceptable bodyblocking.
-
@glitchboi said:
All that needs to be done is making it so unhooked survivors affected by BT have no collision for the duration to discourage BT bodyblocking.
So are we going to prevent an invisible wraith from bodyblocking a window? or a survivor bodyblocking a hook when a killer tries to put them on it? When you open that door, where does it end?
It's a strategic play, with a risk to the person who's using BT of going back down and on a hook again.

Never thought I'd see the day where the hatch itself complains about keys

Because even though you unhook the survivor before the Killer even leaves the hook - you get a free safe rescue for your Benevolent emblem, a free 30+ points. Yeah so much effort. Deserves so much reward.
Unhook a survivor without taking into consideration the Killer's speed or powers - you get a free safe rescue for your Benevolent emblem, a free 30+ points. Yeah so much effort. Deserves so much reward.
Why are you assuming everyone uses BT before the killer even leaves the hook? And even if that were always the case, there's a whole second person to go after that isn't working on gens or doing anything else. You're making my argument for me lol

You mean the perk that makes you play an entire trial with only 3 perks for little reward that's easily countered? No I don't - it's not a reliable perk, and useless against good survivors. This is not on topic however. Borrowed Time is rewarding survivors for 0 effort.
It's not rewarding zero effort for survivors, it's countering zero effort on the killer's end, whether that be camping, or immediately running back to an unhooked survivor to tunnel (which even then, is easy for killer to bypass by waiting 12 seconds).
The new BT shouldn't bother anyone who doesn't camp or tunnel.
-
It's a feature, like any other. The concept of SWF cannot inherently be "unfair" lol, it's all about the player/s, just as it is with killer and solo q. And you can't control how people play, hence why toxicity will always exist in games like this.
Best you can do is just move on.
-
The problem a lot of people in this community have isn't their opinions, it's how they express them.
Generalizing the other side, focusing only on bad games when chances are they've had way more good ones, etc etc. instead of constructively criticizing things will never get anyone anywhere.
-
Trying to get me caught by throwing pallets, fast vaulting, etc. because I cleansed a totem or opened a chest that they wanted lol
-
I have absolutely no assumptions because I don't think just because they treated the SH chapter a certain way, that they'll do the same here.
What I'd love to have (regardless of likelihood) are the following:
- Two survivors - any combination of Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire, or Ethan
- TWO killers - any combo or Mr. X, Birkin, Nemesis, Lady D, and Jack Baker
- A map in the mansion, the police department, or even the Raccoon City streets
-
Hag and Legion are both just annoying as hell
-
I agree that it's a little chaotic, but with camping and tunneling increasing exponentially in the last month or two, the change was needed and should not come as any surprise.
-
Move onto the next match because not every match is the same
It's definitely frustrating and we've all been there sometimes, just a string of bad luck.

That's coping and you know it. How come you gate keep Lady Dimitrescu for being new but you think some blondie from the 3rd entry of the series is iconic? The Silent Hill chapter should have had the protagonist of the first or second game. Not some weird blonde girl.
I'm really not interested in whatever your agenda here is. I said what I said.

- Said he, while having a profile picture of Cheryl
She was in both the 1st and 3rd game and is recognizable, I fail to see your point here.
-
I lowkey hope not, not as the main characters anyway.
I'm hella excited to play RE8, but the chapter should focus on RE's history, not the newest hyped up characters.
-
There's probably a more proportionate ratio of killers and survivors playing during the day, since not as many people will be on in general.
At night, more people are playing, and since there are statistically more survivors than killers, the ques are just a mess lol
-
Killer is more fun for most people starting the game because it's more stimulating
Survivor is more fun for the social aspect, as well as making good plays and mind games when you know you're technically the one at a disadvantage.
-
With the absurd amount of tunneling and camping killers lately, I can't say I blame them.
-
There's really no such thing as "A tier" across the board
There are killers that are more accessible and ones who are less so, killers with basic powers and ones with more complex powers.
Someone might find Spirit to be OP while someone else might have the easiest time countering her.
It's all relative, it's all subjective, and each person is always going to have a different perspective.
-
This is the one I really hope gets reworked when they update the graphics

One day every killer will be nerf to oblivion they already start their work and when this happen killer will slowly quit we already see that happening lucky for bhvr they have 1 good dlc a year and the filler can keep people hook for the year
Ah yes, the supposed "survivor-sided devs" conspiracy. My favorite part of every thread.

If I get a player that clearly gives up as killer I go out of my way to slug them. If you want to screw your teammates over you're either waiting those 4 minutes or enjoying a nice matchmaking cooldown. :)
And what exactly gives you the info to make this judgment call? Maybe their teammates screwed THEM over, and they just want to leave.
-
Cheryl really is the pinnacle of P3 huh?
-
@xenotimebong said:
Half the time people give up because their teammates are bots and make baffling, game-ending decisions. Fix matchmaking/ranking/MMR/whatever so that people actually go in the ranks they belong in, and this phenomenon would reduce.
This. When I'm playing with other rank 1-3 survivors and they make the dumbest choices imaginable throughout the entire match, I willingly give myself to the killer so I can move on.
Trust that we're having as little fun as you are.

I'd love to get 2 killers. The more the merrier.
I've been more curious about the map than the killer lately. There are so many options.
For some reason I think that it'll be in a Manson or in some umbrella corp lab.
Agreed. I'd love if they really went all out this time - Lady Dimitriscu and Mr X/Nemesis/Birkin/whoever as two killers, two survivors, and maybe multiple maps like the mansion, the police station, and/or the village or castle.
I don't EXPECT all of this, but it's nice to dream about lol
-
I'm having a very hard time understanding what the message of this thread is lol
-
Have we considered that maybe they'll do a new and an old killer?
It IS the 5th anniversary, them deciding to do two killers and two survivors would definitely be surprising, as well as taking advantage of the license on it's anniversary as well.

Glad you are enjoying.
Very survivor-sided update. Twins have been gutted (plus stealth nerfs), Demo's add ons are still garbage and the new map is very survivor sided. Huntress change was okay, albeit very unimaginative.
Drum roll please for the new meta perk, just in time to replace the one that was just nerfed.
Visuals and bug fixes are the highlights, which is sad. Map looks pretty but has the lovely breakable wall infinites in multiple places. Pallet stuns are fixed, which is good, but was promised last update so technically belongs with the previous patch.
3/10 patch. Good if you are survivor main I guess.
There is nothing meta about 35-45 seconds.

what the ######### is wrong with you, seriously?
Thank god this guy got banned, he's been wrecking havoc the last few days
Op, if it doesn't affect you personally, why do you care if others care?
-
Lucky Break is useless yet again, and Freddy's add-ons are... laughable, but other than that, all good changes.
-
Oh please, if 35-45 seconds really scares you that much, you may need to reevaluate if you should be playing.
-
Cool, now it's useless again lol
-
This isn't a bad idea. Honestly, I'm of the mindset that all totems should be lit up:
1). It encourages survivors to spend more time doing them, even if the killer didn't actually bring hexes.
2). It gives survivors more bloodpoints for breaking them.
3). The killers can still know where their totems actually are like they do now.
-
Nobody's scared of him, he's just a waste of time to play against in a majority of matches.
-
Tierless perks, because we have too many perks now as is with no end in sight
Or if the devs really think it's too easy, make it 2 tiers instead of 3
-

It's the same in USA east coast in the evening and night. Survivor queues are at best 5-10 minutes. It's prime time and there aren't enough killers to fill all the games.
Same here, I always feel grateful whenever I have an afternoon off to play lol
-
Because most of the player base isn't logical and only sees things from their side lol

Not that I agree with this change, but what about during EGC, when a killer basically had to camp? They'reguarding away when th surv magically teleports across the map, prolly to the other opened door with some hands to quickly free them...
Very good point. Maybe the mechanism could deactivate with EGC?
-
@PlunderingPanda said:
Count on a killer main to say that it's the survivor's job to wait in one spot in order to give the killer a free hook.
He was ranting in another thread about how proud he is to camp and slug every survivor he encounters, even if they've done nothing to him, so I can't say I'm surprised.
He's the new Lord_Tony lol

@Yords said:
That would take away the uniqueness from pyramid head and be detrimental to killers. Survivors could just go in the general area of where the hooked survivor would appear and almost instantly save.
Maybe it could function on a timer? Like, killer stands within x meters for y seconds, then the survivor teleports to another hook?
That way, survivors have no way of knowing really where they'd go, but it also allows killers to not camp and keep them there.
