    Suggestions;

Bring back passive condemn for tapes so survivors have something to worry about. It’s too easy for them.

Drop the cooldown to 7 seconds for condemn BUT the TV sadako comes out of you get a stack. (Old Sadako)

    Newspaper OR Mirror - Basekit.

    Fix the following Addons;

Sea-soaked cloth and Rickety pinwheel. Either merge them into 1 addon OR don’t punish sadako for teleporting to the tv making it useless.

telephone - increase to 8.5 meters. 7 is too short.

distorted photo-Not useful due to a survivor having to witness her to function.

iri videotape-Not useful. Bring back old Iri video tape or don’t turn off condemn since there’s a cooldown now.

clump of hair? Why? She’s invisible in power. Why is she still invisible at the same distance, when she is manifested, as she is de manifested. Clump of hair either needs to be increased or put into her base kit. There’s a lullaby and a visual effect heartbeat anyways.

Im tired of sounding like a broken record. Thank you for listening…maybe… but please. 🙏🏼

These are healthy suggestions and need to be heard!

... You guys just sent one hell of a shudder up my spine... better than any killer has ever managed in DBD 😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶

Sadako looked so promising in the PTB, I trust BHVR are receptive to feedback, because damn if my gut is right, she'll need some bloody loud feedback.

I can scream pretty loud. I dont like to do it though.

Maybe a post spamming will help? Helped with DH...

Im surprised in the same patch that billy finally restores his former glory and then some. Onryo replaces him with the dumbest punishments for using your power. They even call out the players for being clever. What? But seriously as someone whos had their main done in (back in 2020 with overheat) hopefully you don't have to wait as long as we did. They backpedal quickly i hope.

We fought for 8 months to get here. Now this is the outcome. My hopes are exeptionally low friend.

But im glad that your struggle is over.

Pig was on the road map too, yes?

    Next nerfs for her.

Nurse is here with her all problems. SM is still the most hated killer with failed rework. But once again, they target'ed weak killer instead of real issues.

If Pig gets nerfs like Sadako right now, i will leave the game and this forum due to me losing faith in the developers of DBD.

  • The Onryō

The Onryō has gone through quite a few changes lately, and that can make it difficult to predict where she’ll fall in terms of strength. We feel pretty confident with this version, but we will be watching carefully to see if any dominant strategies or shortcomings emerge and reassess as needed.

    @jonifire , @OnryosTapeRentals , @MechWarrior3 , @Skitten56 , @ChaosWam , this is from the "watch list".

They FEEL confident with this version........

Are you kidding me? Did they take the two seconds and compared old Sadako to PTB Sadako with these nerfs?

Shes worse now in many aspects. She was not fine back then. HOW IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE FINE NOW? HOW CAN YOU BE CONFIDENT WITH THIS?

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

And The Onryō is back to being one of the worst killers in the game...

This is a horrible day for all of us.....

These changes would be perfect. I could settle for this!

Tapes need to bring passive condemning back with these 10 second global cooldown changes. This is a must. We need that added pressure.

(I’d like a few other things added for quality of life on her but if this is what I get I’ll deal)

We need heads thinking fast right now.

Put you suggestions here. I link up community managers now. Maybe they will listen, where the PTB failed.

Its so sad, i even have a badge on my profile that states that my post on PTB got read by the devs.

  • Its looking grim....

This IS the Freddy treatment and she didnt even go live.

Im so sorry my friend but my hopes for Freddy and Sadako just got a huge step back.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

Yup. Not to mention there’s no passive build up for condemn anymore. We’re worse off than square 1.

I will slug everyone. I don’t care. That’s sadly my best option now. Why force me to use ring drawing? Let’s address the other addons that need the help. We mentioned this over and over

    and over and over again....

This feels worse than old Sadako in a lot of aspects to me.

  • Ok. This is it:

    @MechWarrior3 , @OnryosTapeRentals , @aprilghost_yt , @itsamemario , @ChaosWam , @Skitten56 , @jonifire and all the other people out there.

These changes can not go live. They butcher our killer in a way that she doenst deserve and make her weak and unhealthy.

Proposal for fast changes because the patch goes live in 5 /4 - ish days. We need to come to conclusions FAST.

    • Proposed change for spamming condemned: If Sadako uses projection, all active TVs will spread condemned. Then the "global" condemned will go on cooldown for 10 seconds. If Sadako uses projection on a TV during the cooldown, only this TV will spread condemned (old Sadako)
    • Tape insertion HAS to be put to 2 seconds!!!
    • Lock on HAS to remain at PTB - level.

Please guys. its not too late. We can try to prevent this.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3634562#Comment_3634562

Exactly! If you’re adding a cooldown that should be applying now! On global! Not her changes in the ptb. Bhvr please. 🙏🏼💕

    don’t do this.

It has to be stopped..... Somehow.... I believe....

  • @ChaosWam said:

There's no defending this at all.

I was already hoping she wouldn't receive the Freddy treatment before PTB, was pretty stoked about the changes in the PTB, never saw anyone abuse the power like they suggest because survivors can easily take tapes with NO downside, and they still manage to give her the Freddy treatment.

Heck, that power cooldown fits CURRENT Sadako's global condemned better than PTB Sadako, and we didn't get that???

I want to cry right now. NOT OUT OF JOY.

  • @UndeddJester said:

Oh wow... I was not expecting that...

The tunneling stance does kinda make sense... but there is a sense that this is kinda on the survivor for letting their condemn stacks get so high... The fact you can insert a tape in her face makes this change rather strange to me.... the whole point of Sadako to my understanding after this change was her power was the same as the Pig. She is a basic M1 killer, doesn't even have a dash like the Pig... but her power is a slowdown you ignore at your peril.... now it seems you can kinda ignore it again...

Similarly the condemn prevention seems to be on teleport for 10 seconds seems strange, because if someone gets a stack, that means there is a TV that is powered near them. They have plenty of warning of this, and if they suspect this can easily pre-run to avoid the second stack...

I think these changes were made with the best intentions, but I have a feeling that competent survivors will dominate with these changes...

I couldn't play in the PTB, so I'll have to wait and see... but my theory craft doesn't have a lot of faith...

If you achieve to get downed with 5 stacks at 5 gens by a Sadako, im sorry but thats on you.

Almost everything we talked about on ptb has been ignored. AGAIN.

I could cry friend. Hold me.....

    Piggy is sobbing.

I guess BHVR will ignore all the complaints and critisim on the PTB forums again and release her in a broken state. Except instead of being brokenly strong, this time they are making her brokenly weak. Condemn is a joke now. I thought they would make the appropriate buffs to make the risk reward more fair to combat the easy counterplay. But instead they just nerf her. The PTB was almost perfect, just needed some tweaks in the right areas. we all gave BHVR extensive feedback again but BHVR just does its own thing.

I fully expect BHVR to just ignore us all and keep these nerfs; all just because survivors didn't learn to grab tapes from TV auras. Guess I'll see you all again in 6-8 months for her 3rd rework.

I feel so bad right now.....

I thought we had achieved something.

Its like fighting for a toy you want to have back at all costs, but then when you finally get the toy back after all the struggle , its all twisted and broken down.

I wanted the old version back (I maimed her before the rework), because of the tv cooldowns, but even her first version was better than this. Now we need a fourth rework. Great.

Not a fourth rework. We need to somehow stop this.....

She was good on ptb. This was absolutely NOT needed.

I chose Pig with brown addons and the same build for almost 2k hours now.

I was fine with nerfs she got because of lock mechanic. But ofcourse they nerfed it too and now she has nothing.

She can't builds stacks easily because 16m is pretty small area and smart survivors will just close TVs before they sit on gens. And it's not hard to find them because they can see TV auras.

Lock mechanic nerfed so much. So when you build full stacks on one survivor, they most likely will be on their last hook state. At this point who cares if they are moriable or not.

She has no chase power, she has meh level slowdown and she has no threat on survivors. I am feeling so upset to lose one of the my fav killers.

    Your one to tell.....

    Im so sad right now.

    I agree.

The addons that really needed to be changed were left untouched.

    PTB/Forums feedback was it ignored.

Condemn is shot again coupled with her no chase and anti loop potential = being bullied all over again.

Survivors are free to do whatever because they can grab a tape, 10 second cooldown, plus see auras of TVs at any given moment.

I’ll be slugging again that’s for sure. I’m not hooking a soul.

They want me to play healthier? Fine, no problem, but make healthy changes first not this.

Sadly that seems to be the chase. I dont know anymore. 2 stacks for each hook IS NOT ENOUGH INCENTIVE.

    Im so sad right now......

    I see history repeating itself......

  • We were on such a good path.

The changes are not necessary. She needed other stuff. We pointed all of this out on the ptb. The Sadako feedbackk was over 200 comments long. What happened here? Almost all of our concernes where ignored and the things we praised got nerfed.

Please for all our sanities sake, CLARIFY WHAT HAPPENED HERE???

    I don't know either.

A lot people pointed Alan Wake pers are pure garbage, ignored.

A lot people pointed Sadako has some weak points, ignored.

A lot people pointed Quick Gambet needs rework, it's still terrible. Not ignored but core issue did not fixed. So it's still dead perk.

A lot people pointed DMS is problematic with buffed Grim, ignored.

I am surprised Blight feedbacks did not ignored. Like i am really shocked they actually saw feedbacks for him.

That was my last PTB. If devs don't care about our feedbacks, why even we waste our time and test things? Feels pointless. It's very disappointed right now.

I guess i should play Sadako before they nuke her. Because she will be unplayable after this patch.

I dont know what is going on. We were on such a good path up until now. She was in a really good spot. Now shes a bit too lack luster.

I will still play her a lot. I will still find a way to make her really good. But this is really demoralizing not gonna lie.

  • I understand where the nerfs are coming from, but some of them are absolutely unjustified.

The lock on should have stayed as it was. It was the only thing making chases and hooks an incentive. Getting an early kill via hooking is not that common because Sadakos chase is not good.

The cooldown on condemned is bad. Thats it. Just bad.

WE NEEDED ADDON CHANGES! WHERE ARE THEY???

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3634330#Comment_3634330

    Maybe, yes.

Of course, there's likely a difference in ideas there.

If you care enough about winning to tunnel but bring a bad build, idk.

This is not just the build. Loadout is more than just the perks. It's the type of killer, type of survivor group, items, addons and offerings.

If the killer plays Freddy against a 4man that sends themselves to Ormond with 3 med kits (one syringe, one Styptic) and one bnp, all spreading on gens while the killer has brown addons, a BP offering and the build is : surge, Bbq, lethal, Stbfl, im certain, that despite the skill level (also a problematic term because what skill do we talk about) being equal, the killer will not be able to go for 6 hook stages before someone is out.

Caring to win is out of the question. We are playing a game. Of course we want to win. If we are talking bringing Nurse or Blight with quad slowdown every match, then yes. Tunneling is not necessary at all.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3634300#Comment_3634300

If you are worse than your opponents due to poor matchmaking, tunneling is necessary.

If you are looking for an easy match, tunneling is necessary.

If you are looking to ruin one person's match in particular, tunneling is necessary.

I will allow these concessions. I feel they are legitimate.

If the other side is at your skill level but brings a loadout way stronger than yours, tunneling is necessary.

  • @Sava18 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3632276#Comment_3632276

Ds is not the answer to tunneling, in fact it'll be just like with kicking gens where killers realized it was good to do so after eruption ended and then took it to a negative extreme.

I am biased because I could not care less about bp if I tried but it's not a real incentive.

I dont think buffing ds will fix tunneling as well.

A bp incentive would be a good start. Many people back when bbq had the bp bonus tunneled less. Slowdown mechanics are problematic, because certain killers would become too oppressive.

"forum survivors" also reject the idea of doing anything to combat their unfun effective strategies as well. Both sides go through this.

    Strategies like what?

Because currently, the biggest complaint coming from the killer side is that survivors sometimes win by doing their objective. That is what these complaints boil down to. That's why the term shifted from 'genrush' to 'gen-tunnelling'. Because genrushing was already acknowledged to be a problem, and killers now just want to make 'survivors doing gens' into a problem.

Tunneling and camping aren't "breaking the game", the game is designed with them in mind. The game expect you to.

This argumentation can excuse literally everything. Remember old old BNPs? Instafix a gen?

Game was designed with them in mind. Game expected you to.

    Did it break the game?

So again I ask, do you want both sides to handicap themselves or not? There needs to be a general agreement for both sides to either play "to win" or "Play to win but with handicaps so it's more fun".

The handicap you're asking for on the survivor side is literally that they just throw the game. The slowest possible pace isn't slow enough for you. And guess what? It's going to continue to not be slow enough for you. You lose one match and you'll be back here.

Tunnelling is by far the most effective and fastest way to win.

Doing gens is the ONLY way to win for survivors. Asking them to stop doing that is to ask them to just lose.

Killer winrates are above where they should be. They're a good distance above survivor win rates. But it's not enough. And it's never going to be. Tunnelling is always going to make you feel like you have an argument.

It needs to be ripped out so killers can see how the game is supposed to work.

If, and only IF, this causes killer winrates to drop too low, we can talk about nerfing survivors. Because we've been through several waves of survivor nerfs and the tunnelling never stopped, and nerfs to tunnelling continue to be off-limits. I don't trust any forum killer to admit, after any survivor nerfs, that tunnelling is breaking the game, so we're not doing this whole 'nerf survivors and then we'll stop tunnelling' song and dance again.

Friend, this is not the best Argumentation and you know it.

What I personally see as "gen-tunneling" is basicly finishing it with the killer standing 2 feet away from you. If someone is getting chased right next to the Gen, why not do this Gen right next to the killer to make them sweat a little harder. The killer had 2 hooks for 4 gens done? Let's just finish the 5th in their face. That's what's complained about. Is this doing the objective? Yes. Is it also basicly saying: "we don't care about your experience at all? Just want to win?" Yes.

Anything else i personally don't see as gen-tunneling but these are UNFUN strategies for the killer that happen more often that you like.

Tunneling and camping are in the game. They are in the game for now over 7 years. Why? Because as @MrPenguin said, it's designed with it in mind. "Fixing" tunneling entirely means giving the survivor literal god mode or making the killer player a bot. Both are not good. I didn't know that insta gen BNPs are still around. Seems like they broke the game and got nerfed. I'm the last guy encouraging tunneling, but it is a necessary evil that sometimes has to come into play.

That is what @MrPenguin meant as far as I see it. Both sides can do stuff that is extremely unfun for the other side. However, it's more frowned upon when the killer side does it for a good reason. Tunneling destroys a lot of interaction, the game normally provides. Everyone gets less points, less chases, less heals and in the worst case scenario less points.

When did anybody say that the game is way too fast for them? Did I miss it? For this I'm going back to my statement from earlier. If the killer has 2 hooks and 4 gens are done without them making huge mistakes, should the 5th be done in their face? No match should only last 4-5 minutes. Not initiated from the survivors or killer doing side. Currently, that's absolutely possible. Slugging Nurse against soloq / voice comms swf against casual Doctor.

If you truly want to tackle tunneling, I suggested to make a version of ds basekit with a ton of HEALTHY requirements that mean, that it ONLY works to counter tunneling and nothing else.

But maybe there should also be a mechanic to encourage killers not to tunnel. Maybe a BBQ stacking effect for BP could be a solution.

Tunneling is a problem, but not as one dimensional as you make it seem like.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3634138#Comment_3634138

    Tunneling is not necessary.

It's easy, efficient and EXTREMELY difficult to counter, ie, OP. That's why it's common.

In some cases, it it necessary.

    Proof me wrong.

  • @Clee said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3633874#Comment_3633874

No, I think empathy for the other side should happen daily.

On the rare occasions you get an inexperienced killer, and the team is destroying, then by all means don't pop the gen in their face. It is just rare, at least in my experience, to get anything other than killers going all out to win, with plenty of game experience.

Does it matter if the killer is experienced? They lost 4 gens for 2 hooks. This doesn't mean that they are inexperienced. There are a lot of factors in dbd that can lead to both sides losing without playing particularly bad.

As killer, it can already be a certain map, good items and good survivor perks.

As survivor it can be soloq teammates and a tunneling killer on a bad map.

Even if the killer is experienced, I dont think the Gen should be finished in their face. It's basicly putting the nail in the coffin and saying: "We don't care about your experience. We just want to win."

  • @Skillfulstone said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3634062#Comment_3634062

I mean, Surge is a slowdown perk (although one of the ones that promote chases and that the weaker Killers can use better than Nurse and Blight, which is a good thing) and Pig is one of the handful of Killers that have actual built-in slowdown without any perks in her power.

As for "toxic" strats, two come to mind.

1: Knockout slugging without hooking. Extremely effective against SoloQ and beyond boring.

2: Hard-tunnelling. Sure the Killer might lose if Survivors are very efficient but one player will have probably spent more time in lobby than playing the game. It's an extremely common tactic in higher mmr.

They aren't optimal, but they absolutely remove any fun from the game for the people that go against it.

While experience will be key, a few tips never hurt.

No strategy is toxic. Toxic is when people in the end game chat tell you to end your life.

I don't see tbagging as toxic. It's bm but not toxic.

Recently I found out that Singularity actually gets more punished for hooking that slugging. Playing in an optimal way should not be seen as a bad thing. Sure, it can be boring, but that goes for both sides. If survivors play optimally, the killer will also have a pretty boring game where gnes fly and only very few chases happen.

I'm all for improving the tipps and tutorial section in the game. It's currently lacking a lot and use a serious rework.

  • @Skillfulstone said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3633831#Comment_3633831

To be fair, if playing a Killer without mobility then some slowdown is very helpful (almost necessary if against good Survivors) and with regression possibly (I'm still hoping they change the system to only activate during the last gen) being limited and gen-kick perks (even non-regression ones like Nowhere To Hide, Surveillance, Machine Learning and Trail of Torment) being also a limited ressource then the number of available viable gen-related perks is getting smaller.

It's likely that gen-block will replace gen-regression and Survivors will get PTSD flashback from old Eruption. God-tier Killer players that never needed regression outside of Pop and/or Pain Res won't really feel it but the average player (or just regular players using certain perks) will see those regression events go by.

Not every Killer can compete with good Survivors without some form of slowdown (either through playstyle or perks) and not every player will know how to get the most out of chase perks or powers.

I'm gonna miss those friendly Killers that kicked gens infinitely with Survivors to max out Brutality category...

In all seriousness, unless we join forces and write a comprehensive guide on the many chase perks and non-toxic strats, then outside of "get good" and "switch to other slowdown type" it's gonna be a long endeavor.

Well, i can say, that while playing Pig for 2k hours+ i only used surge. Nothing else. Its more than enough for my playstyle. Ive never been a fan of slowdown (gen blocking). Deadlock is my most disliked killer perk. Most of the best gen regression perks are currently tied to killer progress, so i think its in a good spot right now.

Getting better in chase is something that is mostly tied to experience. The more you try out, the more you know that works. I dont think a guide will solve all problems.

    What strats are toxic???

  • @C3Tooth said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3633839#Comment_3633839

Not tunneling, or not tunneling earlier.

If a killer 2K without tunneling, they could 3-4K if decide to tunneling. If a killer 2K after start tunneling at 1-2 Gen, they could 3-4K if decide to tunneling earlier. Its pretty much only killers decide not to tunnel, or tunnel earlier.

That is why I find its really stupid that some survivors tbag killers when killers being mercy.

Understandable. Sadly the killer gets punished for playing nice right now.

They won't cry but they will complain rightfully. It's BHVR's job to fix tunnelling issue. DS hopefully will back.

If you ask me, i would even propose a basekit ds because i dislike having healthy mechanics locked behind a payment wall. The version i would propose:

    Basekit - anti tunnel:

    • after you get unhooked (first AND second hookstage): if the killer downs and picks you up, you can hit a skill check and escapee the killers grasp, stunning them for 4 seconds in the progress. While this is active, you can not interact with pallets or items and if two or more survivors are chased with the killer, you (with the mechanic active) lose collision with the killer (kinda like Sadako). This mechanic deactivates upon a conspicious action or being healed by another survivor to 50% (not counting resurgance, if resurgance is in play, the mechanic deactivates upon 90% healing progress).

    Perk - decisive strike:

    • increases the stun duration by 2 seconds for a 6 second stun.

This mechanic, however, has to be introduced with a mechanic that encourages the killer to go for multible hooks. Something like old bbq stacks. As it was already discussed by @Xernoton .

Luck could introduce a "Mischievous Hex" mechanic. Survivors with high luck have a chance to curse the killer temporarily, causing skill checks for the killer to become more difficult or affecting their vision. However, if the killer catches the lucky survivor, the hex backfires, and they suffer negative effects.

    Killer skill checks?

I think it's just the hard tunneling from 5 gens that most folks have a problem with.

I am not going to throw shade because you tunnel me with 1 gen left, most of us don't like it, but can understand.

But if you play , unfun from the start, most survivors just say fk it and go next. Is it really so hard to understand why many on the other side find hard tunneling unfun? Truth is, you either care about only winning or you have a bit of compassion for the other side.

Do you play both sides? How do you feel being hard tunneled?

    I absolutely agree!

However, this not only applies to tunneling. If the killer had a horrible start, hasaybe two hooks with 4 gens done. Should the survivor finish the 5th in their face?

If you ask me, that's similar. But it's way less complained about for also understandable reasons.

Lots of complaints about genrush but are they satisfied when their game is over in 4 minutes because survivors kill themselves on hook or tunnneled the first survivor out so everyone else just dc's or gives up.

I am not safisfied when this happens. I got gobbled of a potentially good match.

The devs could absolutely balance the game for the average killer player: every survivor starts the game on a hook in the basement. That MIGHT slow down the early game enough so that 6 gens don't get done in 10 seconds and the killer can actually enjoy the game.

I lose one gem minimum for my first hook. 2 and a half is more the norm.

As a Pig main, I know that only then, my game starts, but think about this: not every killer can delay survivors for several minutes without perks.

I would consider myself above average with good ol Piggy but I have to say, losing that much in this little time without the possibility to do something against it does feel bad. This, I can absolutely get behind.

Tunneling gens doesn't necessarily mean one specific gen, it means putting gens before all other side objectives (hook saves, body blocks, healing, etc.) Maybe thats where we're not seeing eye to eye.

    Oooh.

    You mean genrushing.

I feel like, Genrushing is a difficult term. Some say, it only applies to survivors that focus solely on gens, even ignoring hook stages and brining bnp + commodeus every game. Others claim, to already counts, if a survivor finishes / commits to a Gen in the killers face.

My overall stance is this: no match of dbd should be finished in 4-5 minutes. Not from the killers side or the survivors side.

Generators have no feelings but survivors does. So generators will not cry after you finish to repair them.

If the survivor player cries after being tunneled, I think they have more severe problems

I think the current escape rate is about 40%. And top SWF has 15% more escape rate than the bottom Solo. I think its around 32%.

Solo is only able to escape based on killers' mercy.

What does "killers mercy" look like in gameplay?

At that point, I feel like the REAL game is just to see if you can make a P100 ragequit as a P0 character.

I don't think making people rage quit should ever be the goal.

It's still hilarious if it happens without the other side doing anything though.

  • Aaaahhhhh the prestige 100 lobby. I see that a lot on piggy. All equipped with flashlights. I love these games.

Don't fret, these guys are mostly all bark and no bite. Being at p100 does not = high mmr. Just that these people play a lot.

Due to their load out, I expect them to be a 4man or 3man at least (just prediction, could be wrong). Playing together with friends over a long period of time is probably the best way to farm your way to p100 (all players bring party streamers or cake every game, games usually go acceptionally ok because of swf communication (don't hate me) and flashlights give a lot of points if used correctly.).

This does not mean, that they are the best of the best. I would even assume that they lose a lot. 4 flashlights = mostly a lot of altruism. So much altruism that throws the game.

I'd be more scared of a p100 squad with 4 med kits or 3 med kits with one toolbox.

I like playing against these types of groups because they play mostly for fun.

    Can't chase too fast.

    Can't defense gens.

    Can't defense hooks.

Then how should killers suppose to do?

    Any advice ?

I don't really know how to help you without more explicit information. What killers do you like to play? Why is the new patch giving you trouble? What problems in chase do you encounter? I would love to give you some advice on how to improve but I need more input.

Friend, this is not helpful. If someone asks for help, we should not be like : just slap on slowdown. We should be better.

  • Strong exhaustion perks but a former shadow of its past self.

No other perk has defined Dbd as dh did. I still find myself waiting behind survivors or chasing them to a window just to expect a sudden burst of speed that offers the distance needed.

    "Press E to win"

DH right now is strong but fair. Not fair because the counterplay is now finally healthy, but fair because it can used two times at most per survivor. Dh still provides one of the strongest effects for survivor in the game: a third health state on demand. The counterplay for the killer role is still barely existent at pallets and relies still on baiting or waiting it out. This part of the Perk hasn't changed since it's release with David and is still extremely frustrating to deal with.

It's tolerable, because it now (kinda) functions as an anti tunnel perk, is only usable after being unhooked and gives no dash with I frames anymore. A strong effect, locked behind a wall of restrictions. As it should be for a perk with this specific kind of counterplay.

How to use dh? Simply train your rection time on killer attacks and be patient. Becoming good with dh comes mostly with experience.

How to deal with Dh as killer? Depends. If you play Demo, Huntress, Wesker, Xeno, Chucky, Oni, Nemesis or any other killer that uses an obvious m2 attack, you will have to eat the third health state if you want to use your power. If you play m1, you can actually bait it out (still super unfun gameplay). At pallets, getting a hit without hitting dh heavily relies on the survivor mistiming it or latency destroying the survivor. If dh is hit, I mostly encourage leaving the chase. The survivor has to mend from using dh, which is time wasted not working on gens. Time to pressure somewhere else.

I see dh more often now that MFT got dethroned. However, it does not feel as bad as before, because it is a lot less prevalent matches.

This perk should not be buffed or nerfed. Atost, it should be reworked to go away from the 3rd health state. We should learn from years of mistakes. Not repeat them.
