I just do it to anybody if I have too. I don't intend to but, if it happens than it happens.
-
That's really dependent on RNG though like yeah I agree it's annoying but, again we can't control the RNG Pig gets good RNG than that's just unlucky for Survivors. Survivors get good RNG Pig has to get back on her feet to try to win.
-
Entitlement from people is just awful sometimes but, there's not much we can do about it. Streamers or just any player someone at some point is gonna have a mindset where they think they're the best.
Which if they are they should be doing all the stuff if they say they're the best.

Not gonna lie, I love the idea.
Small things from this bother me like missing numbers but you wrote these like a Spotlight video so I can forgive it. The little details I'm seeing just make me love it more. But as trying to give fair shakes to these concepts, I'm gonna say these small criticisms. Don't let them change anything if you don't want them to. This is awesome and I want to see more from you.
Power Breakdown:
Curse Orbs:
Fires projectiles that inflict status effects depending on the health-state of a survivor. (Excellent Idea and a thing I kind of want to hear more about.)
If you hit a healthy survivor: Blindness, Exhausted, Mangled, and rare chance to get Exposed.
First would be removing Mangled from this list and adding it to injured. Healthy survivors don't get affected by it at all and it disappears instantly once applied in this situation only really getting a location on them. which is fine but maybe switch this with Hindering in the other list.
If you hit an Injured Survivor: Broken, Deep Wound, Hindered (for a short amount of time), Hemorrhage, and Oblivious.
all of this works fine but....
All applied effects disappear on the survivor being hit. (Now here's a blatant contradiction why does the hindered effect have a stipulation for time but nothing else does.) If they disappear from damage, there's no point in making hindered last a short time. along with that Deep Wounds. while yes that effect is there and is fine for what this is maybe remove it.
Overall, though, this part of the power is fine. a few tweaks here and there will make all the effects work as they should.
Second Orb:
The Numbers on this are missing entirely but let's work this out.
While in chase after an amount of time, a second orb will appear and follow the survivor and home in on them for a short time eventually hitting something (whether it's a wall or survivor is irrelevant).
okay so I like this but maybe make it follow Scratch marks specifically. Grunty's a witch she could figure it out. it would also help serve more options to Grunty.
If the Orb hits a survivor, they take damage.
If it hits a Wall, the aura of the survivor being chased is revealed for a short time. (Usually this means about 3-5 seconds)
Defining how big this thing is, changes my thoughts on this. If the orb is large enough to do this, then fine yeah, I get it. if it's a small orb that travels over small objects then maybe see how it would do in another way.
trivia:
okay so... this is something that is very unique and there's a lot to unpack.
When the Exit Gates are powered Survivors must try and solve a Trivia question before they can attempt to open the exit gates. The answer's result determines the effect. (What types of questions... and do the players have to solve them?)
Correct answers are a buff to the survivors: Haste, Increased opening speed, Endurance
Incorrect answers are a buff to Grunty: Unstoppable Orb (as I call it), Haste, Undetectable.
Incorrect answer could also Nerf Survivors: Exposed, Hindering, reveal their auras, decreased opening speed, or block switches for some time.
Okay now, if the survivors let go, do they have to solve another? all the effects here are fine except a mislabel on Exposed. This is fun, but to keep it fair, make the Questions about the current trial in particular if the Players are the ones answering the questions.
That's it for the power. To help in making these questions and other things I imagine a game with the killer power in question. For Grunty here, I did a Coal Tower game. anyhow.
Perks:
This is where the criticism will be a bit harsher as perks are the easier of the two major parts of a killer to make and have to be applicable to all killers in some way.
Beauty:
Putting a Survivor into the Dying State (by any means?) causes all Boon Totems to become Hex Totems that cannot be blessed again for 60/70/80 seconds.
okay so first what do you mean by Hex Totems here. if it means inverting the effects of the boon okay. The only thing I want to say is maybe have the entity block the turned Totems for less time than currently stated. And only the Boons associate with that survivor.
(Suggested Changed Description) Putting survivor into the Dying State by any means causes Totems blessed by that survivor to become Hex Totems with the inverse effects of the original blessing. This totem becomes blocked by the Entity for the next 40/50/60 seconds. Converted Totems still count as Active Boon Perks for a survivor meaning a survivor cannot boon another totem while Beauty is affecting them.
Scourge Hook: Witch Inversion:
After hooking a Survivor on a Scourge Hook All Survivors suffer from blurry vision, and their movement is inverted for 20/22/25 seconds.
Fun, but please no. This is a weird one to work with. By Blurry Vision I assume you mean similar to Clown's Intoxication effect. Where I, sadly, draw the line is inverting movement controls for that long. Personally I'd limit the Movement inversion to at most (tier 3) 10 seconds. but really there's very little wrong with this perk just a personal preference.
WitchCraft:
After Sacrificing a Survivor, the Killer's power is fully charged and activated however, will not combo with they've brought in addons.
Hi yes... what does this mean? more specifically what about those weird Combo things. Like Trapper, (does it generate a new trap?) or Hillbilly (recover all Overheat build up?) There's also a Teir up effect missing but for this it's a little hard to quantify. This perk is witchcraft and by that logic. let's try this.
(Suggested Change Log):
Make this a Hex and make it appear once a survivor is Sacrificed to the Entity.
Increase the effects of addons by 10/20/30%
The aura of the Totem is shown to survivors for 3 seconds after 20 seconds. (Fairness change, trust me it's needed)
Instantly recharge the Power every time a survivor is Hooked after the Totem activates.
For all Kilers this means:
Trapper: All Unset Traps become Active
Wraith: Instantly becomes cloaked
Hillbilly/ Cannibal: All overheat is removed and charge time for the next use of the ability is increased by 50%
Nurse: Charge time for Blinks is increased by 25%
Shape: Makes the Shape Teir up from its current (with Scratched and Vanity Mirrors this does not work)
Hag: The next Trap becomes 10% faster to place.
Doctor: Static Blast becomes Available.
Huntress: Instantly reloads all Hatchets.
Nightmare: All survivors immediately become asleep.
Pig: Active Traps lose 2 seconds on their timer.
Clown: Instantly Reloads all Bottles
Spirit: Yamaoka's Haunting becomes available
Legion: Feral Frenzy becomes available
Plague: The Next Vile Purge charges 50% faster
Ghostface: Night Shroud becomes available
Demogorgon: The Next Portal interaction happens 25% faster
Oni: Blood Fury Charges completely
Death Slinger: Instantly Reloads the Redeemer
Pyramid head: Completely Charges the Torment Trail Gauge
Blight: Next fatigue from rushes is 25% faster
Twins: Victor's Idle Timer is completely refilled.
Trickster: Reloads all Trick Blades
Nemesis: Tiers up from current Stage
Cenobite: Next Chain used applies 4 chains
Artist: Birds of Torment becomes completely charged.
(Grunty) Witch: Second Orb becomes able to be used.
looks up at this list Dear lord that's a lot. Sorry this one needed so much. Without defined effects this perk is scary in how it could function so it's better to define it now, what do you think?
(Suggested Perk Description):
Hex: Witchcraft:
After Sacrificing a Survivor, if there is at least one Dull totem remaining in the Trial Hex: Witchcraft activates on a random totem.
While Hex: Witchcraft is active:
- Addon effects are increased by 10/20/30%
- {Killer Specific Ability} every time a survivor becomes hooked.
After being active for 20 seconds the aura of the Totem with Hex: Witchcraft applied to it is revealed to all Living Survivors for 3 seconds.
Sorry if these changes seem to be a lot. I have a lot of respect for the Balance of Perks and powers in the game, so these kinds of things often become projects in and of themselves. Take all of these changes however you please and don't overthink anything I've said. Good luck in your future endeavors and I hope to see more of this.
Glad you like the concept I should've specified a couple things in the post and yeah some of this is kinda what I was referring to especially on the perks. However with her power so the orbs basically are like the fireballs she throws in her boss fight in the 1st banjo kazooie game and they explode on when they hit the ground and a survivor gets hit by it or is near the blast radius than it gives them the effect.
The Orb that locks onto the Survivor I wasn't really thinking of the Scratch marks so that's a good option to have for that.
Trivia again I should've specified what the questions would be but, what I was thinking of were DBD questions like, who's the 5th killer on the list if you own all the killers? or maybe something like which of these perks help with tunneling? basically giving you options to select from. For a curveball because Grunty has them in her quizes she'd ask a question about herself that only comes from her lore and that one might be unfair for some but, that's who Grunty is she plays unfair sometimes.
But glad you enjoy the concept I do have another concept that was made in January for Dead Hand from Ocarina Of Time. Which probably has some mistakes that I forgot to specify as well lol. So if you wanna see it here you go https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/306346/dead-hand-killer-concept#latest and yes I will probably make another concept at somepoint when though who knows.
-
For me it's when people say Deathslinger now takes skill to play and I'm like dog did he already not before lol?
-
Wraith and Scratch Mirror Myers.
-
Maybe people are just excited for his own game.
-
Dead Hand from Ocarina of Time
-
Yes way worse than the old one. As SBMM always is.
-
This will probably get fixed might make the stair case a little wider to help fix that.
-
I got mine on Midwich when I did it might not be the best one but, maybe RPD or Mother's Dwelling it's the biggest map unfortunately but not to many lockers on the map there's a few though.

Very good post, even though it might be a bit too long for those people, to whom it mostly matters. I say one of the most important things is to play both sides, and not just one or two daily rituals, but like 5-10 games. It really opens up your mind for the other sides plight.
I still think that killers complaints hold more water, but there are certain survivor ones that also ring true. And some problems are somewhat linked.
As killer nearly all my fun games were the ones were I tunneled one survivor out asap and I wasn't under constant stress as before with a gen popping every minute like clockwork.
But getting tunneled, especially of the hook if your survivor mate lacks BT, feels super aweful, because you can literally do nothing about it. It sad that gens pop so fast these days that tunneling practically becomes a necessity and if BHVR really shuts it down without any compensation, I don't know what will be left for killers to do, but play Nurse and Blight.
I hope that they will do something like Devour, ie dish out bonuses when you are away from the hook. Imho Devour is the best anti tunnel perk in the game. Sadly it gets cleansed instantly once it gets active, so that's that :/
And I hate few things more then all the talk about "brainless perks", "brainless killers" and "brainless tactics". Yeah, all that stuff might feel "brainless" if your are at the receiving end of the stick, but DH isn't a "press the button and win", you need to learn it or else you will end up as one of this survivors like me that waste their DH in the open or DH into a corner.
Same with "cheap" Nemesis tentacles or Pyramid sneaky shots, those are no instant plug n play, you gotta learn them. Or try OP Blight for yourself and I guarantee that you will end up ij the open, just running out of juice. And then you try to hit a wall and do a cool bounce, just to have the survivors run nowhere where you could bouncy hit them. This stuff needs lots of experience and knowledge ; sure once mastered you can run circles around the survivors, but by that time you earned that!
And looping... Looping aint that easy, fam. Before you can do all that 5 gens looping, you have to fail a few countless times in 15s chases vs a lot of baby Wraith. But when it finally clicks, its an awesome feeling when the killer breaks chase after you loop them for a gen or two, because you are too much a hassle and not worth the effort.
Well said :)

Well here's the difference between healing perks from killer and survivors, sloppy is countered by botany which actually still heals faster, Coulrophobia only works while inside the killers tr so i guess if you're playing 60 meter tr doc is good, and CoH still outclasses them both combined.
Kinda yeah but, it does do a decent slow down and combo the 2 together with distressing it's actually pretty good.

Lmao that was an awesome chase bro. And Sluzzy…. Well no wonder the games so killer sided since she sacrifices herself on first hook
Yeah he did try to but, I got him down before he sacrificed himself. That was also my first time playing against the nerfed spirit to so I didn't know what to expect.

I've had @Sluzzy on my team before.

It certainly feels at times that some people experience something they feel uncomfortable with, but rather than learn from it they'd rather just declare it "broken" and change it.
Certainly there have been things in the past which absolutely warranted it (the insta-gen Brand New Part comes to mind), but many more hqve been a case of adapt and overcome
Those people definately need to relax. As for those who tried and tried, yet still have difficulties, then there may well be changes needed. However, I'm suspicious of many who claim something needs changing, yet haven't learnt.
Deathslinger's nerf is a good one they said to strong for new players from what I heard and I'm like guys they don't just learn him instantly takes some time to learn.

No sweat... But it is true... there are a lot of Survivor players
But how many of them play Killer too?
They either play killer from time to time but, just probably don't play it enough to learn everything.

I wish more players would just *chill the ######### out*
I've seen far more disgusting behavior from this game than any other, and I've seen it all. CSGO, League, Cod, Overwatch, even space station 13.
You really need to have patience with this community they do have a lot of wild moments.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
Funny you didn't mention Killer players playing Survivor... Just thought I'd point that out
But yea being chilled and relaxed can do a lot... but players want this game to be Competitive so...
Well I didn't really mention that cause there's a lot more Survivor players than Killer players so it slipped my mind however, now that you mention it I should've probably put that down lol.
-
To be fair I'd like to see Sidney in the game but, if she gets in they'd have to make it where if you use the classic ghostface skin they give him voice lines.

When versing a massive slowdown build. I've played against this numerous and numerous times and the end result is always exactly the same. It is always a bloody bloodbath because this killer with those perks and addons are so extremely oppressive. The game could never be fair when killers can "stack" slowdown perks, combined with an extremely high mobile and agile killer with addons such as this. I don't have to mention the name, the icon is so familiar.
I think slowdown and aura perks should be treated like exhaustion perks. Only one per trial. The killer needs to choose how he wants to slow the game down. Through passively with Ruin/Corrupt or aggressively with POP. Both is horribly broken when used together and Tinkerer simply enables god mode with it.
If the devs want to improve solo and regular queues, you need to look at this screenshot. Status symbols won't help against this. Four slowdown perks are too strong together.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PF556OVYK9R9/blight.png
Sluzzy you're overreacting to Blight you really are. Just play the killer and see what good mmr players do against him and you'll see what happens cause a lot of players now how to beat him and you still don't even though he's been out for almost 2 years now.
Also btw Tinker enables god mode no it doesn't I just vsed a blight recently who had tinker and we all still got out. Totems you have perks not saying them since I have many times. Pop well that all depends on you and your team and it looks more like you're having a rough time with your team more than the Blight himself.
-
It's very bad finding a streamer that just gets super entitled when something doesn't go there way and they just unleash their anger out on other players.

Then everyone loses in the end. I'm fine with last-second swaps and all that as long as Killers can do it as well. Though i'm sure if survivors had this same restriction it would not last long before complaints flooded the forums.
Technically no because Survivors have the same gameplay as all survivors. Only thing they won't be able to do is quick switch.

If you want them removed than turn off cross play.

I've never stopped being frustrated against Blight with crutch perks. I can't think of a perk combo to take in as survivor and like massively oppress the killer so much I know for certain I'll open the gates.
The problem you and others are missing is that Scourge Hooks causes the gens to regress after exploding. If you ignore it, it will regress. If you touch it to stop it, it will get the Entity Claws. That is a lose lose situation.
Yeah that's what it's designed for that's the point of the Pain Resonance it's a gen defense perk. Also no it won't get the claws if you touch it that's only if you let go while you're on it and if you're on the gen when the survivor gets hooked it's gonna make you let go.
You can manually let go yourself once you see there aura appear as they're getting hook let go instantly until you see the gen explode than hop back on until you have to let go again. Want more info use Kindred when they get hooked before hopping on again to know if the killer's coming than you'll think if I touch it it's gonna be blocked once I let go to hide from the killer works a lot of the time.
Also I say this everytime I see you complain about Ruin, Undying, use Counterforce and you're other totem perks you have to help find totems plus the map helps too.
-
I'm Canadian as well and yeah I agree comparing this game to Hockey was one of the dumbest things I've heard. You can't compare SBMM/DBD to a sport. Even when they said hooks, being very good as killer, and being a good survivor that helps the team and knows how to loop doesn't work for MMR cause it's not "winning" but, 2 kills 2 escapes is? It's not as nobody "won" that game that's a draw not a win for either side. So what is it BHVR what's the real winning conditions if you have any? Evidence has shown over and over again since MMR was a thing it doesn't work.
-
You've not been this frustrated in a long time? I guess you enjoy Ruin, Undying, Tinker, and Blight now? If the killer has Dead Man's Switch and Pain Resonance here's an idea for you Sluzzy you can let go of the gen when they're about to be hook as you have a couple seconds to react to it so that A) you don't scream and make the gen get blocked and B) so the gen doesn't get blocked and when it explodes than you can touch the gen to stop the regression and only let go if you have to let go.
-
This would be mine for Menu Themes
-
Best option to fix it would be getting rid of SBMM/MMR and not focus on 2 kills 2 escapes.
-
I think you need to play Blight more before judging him. Yes he's got great mobility, Addons, and the Exploit well that's the dev's fault not changing that yet.
If you've beaten some Blights than that says he takes skill cause you don't just pick up Blight instantly and be like yep I'm an instant pro as him it takes some games before you can get the hang of him same with the exploit.
Also I say this all the time Blight has Ruin use the totem perks to help find it Counterforce works great for those totems.

And I stil want it back! Survivor sided game needs to end
You can still do just as well with 1 hatchet. Practice your throws and at that point you won't be missing any hits and be insta downing left and right seen it many times in my games.
-
You used to be able to have 3 iri hatchets if you combo with infantry belt but, that got changed and it kinda needed to I didn't mind playing against 3 iri hatchets but, I understand why it got nerfed.

I think it is very self centered of survivor mains to believe that we care about their reactions. I can only speak for myself, but, like, I can only humor myself with "waah face camp, waah tunnel, killer bad" so many times before the humor runs dry, Duffy. I am quite easily entertained, but you have to admit that surely no one could sustain themselves on those generic comments for long.
I can admit that yeah those comments would get annoying after a while if that's all you end up getting on them.

You should definitely play it, it’s really fun.
Anyway, imagine each survivor sees a corpse of themselves stuck onto an eldritch spider it would be great.
I've thought about it but, just never got to it but, I hear it's very good.
-
I've not played Hollow Knight but, looking at an image of it I can see why you'd want it
-
He's not a "monster" to the devs the twins are the monsters 😒
-
Turn off SBMM/MMR that'll bring tons of killer players back

@Sluzzy said:
If anything the perk is too situational and not really helpful in most situations. It went from being completely useless to maybe helping in rare situations. I QUIT using it! I used it for 3 days and only got off a shoulder one time. These kind of perks are HORRIBLE when it comes to sheer luck.
Killer complaints about Boil Over are not justified when they say they can’t rarely do their objective in rare situations. It is hypocritical for killers to complain about Boil Over when they bring in the most OP things in the game. Multiple slowdown perks that “prevents” the survivor from doing the objective. You know what killers tell me when I complain about Ruin? You have perks for that. Well, I have news for killers: You have perks to deal with Boil Over. Use them. Oh, or is that only for survivors?
Take off your sweaty builds and use Iron Grasp. You do not have to use the same perks every game. 3 and 4 slowdown perks are completely unnecessary. If you do not like Boil Over, bring a perk to counter it. This is what is told to survivors when they don’t like certain things. “Bring a map, bring Counter Force, ….”
And lastly, Boil Over is no stronger on a SWF than Ruin is on an OP killer like Blight. I would say Boil Over is still weak and too situational.
I played against a Blight that used the new overbuffed Dead Man’s Switch and Scourage Hook: Pain. Nobody could do the objective. He easily won with several gens remaining because the survivors COULD NOT do the objective. This is beyond broken but lets sweep this under the rug and talk about Boil Over?
We need to stop balancing around high profile survivors in edge cases and leaving broken killers and perks unchecked. Killers win way too much and it is unhealthy for the game.
To be fair you complain about ruin, undying, and tinker all the time yet how come you don't use Counterforce to find all the totems or detectives hunch.
Also Boil Over isn't op it's more just annoying cause maps like RPD, Eyrie of Crows, Disturbed Ward, or even Dead Dawg it can be abused to just stay in a safe spot and all that will result in the survivors not doing anything and end up being slugged all game if they keep going to these safe spots.
If they're on the ground or in a high spot with hook in reach it's not that bad but, if a survivor is just going into safe spots cause they know they can't get hook than it becomes a problem.
-
@tippy2k2 said:
Thankfully I think most survivors have figured out that Boil Over = Slugged so I'm not seeing the perk anymore but any time I have run into it, if I pick them up and don't immediately see where I can go and that I can get there, I will drop them and let them look at the floor until someone comes picks them up or they die.
if they're in a safe spot I'll slug however if it's close to a hook I'll try and go for it.

...Presumably also quite strong, and on their radar? I don't think it's really a case of having to pick one killer to work on at a time, it's just that this current patch had a bunch of quick numbers-tweaking changes they could get out without having to devote too much programmer time to them. Nurse and Blight are extremely strong, but addressing that requires a lot more than changing some number values- and Nurse specifically had her entire code rewritten from the ground up this patch, almost.
I don't think the nerfs were good either, but I definitely believe that Twins are beasts in the hands of skilled players. People very routinely underestimate how strong the Twins actually are, even outside of proxy camping with Victor.
Twins definitely are good in the right hands but, even then a really good team can still dominate them

Nothing pleases any side no matter what gets added into the game that ends up being good one side is gonna complain about it. Ruin, Undying, and Tinker as an example for Survivors DS, Unbreackable, and BT examples for killer.
