Try to conserve pallets. If a killer is close to you drop the pallet. If your looping in the killer shack and you don't have a hook OR there are less than 2-3 gens done just let them hook you. You'll gain more blood points with Killer. Survivor is not the route for BP farming. When dealing with Nemesis, try to hug the walls. When dropping a pallet immediately move to the other direction. They'll try to get a direct hit.

Yea. Over 1m I now have 27 cakes and im p3 50 (claudette).

Let me clarify for those who don't understand; she's not going to be a harmless 4.4m/s M1 Killer like you're all suggesting.
This "Lightburn"-like effect only affects her visibility and nothing more. Spirit can still Phase Walk, but unlike before where she's invisible to a Survivor, if they actually get her, she will be visible for any Phase Walks she performs for 60 seconds, with an invincibility period of 20 more seconds. This means she can still move fast and do her things, but her being visible now makes her more predictable.
Also, not everyone is going to either be prepared or know when she Phase Walks. See, the only stipulation is that this occurs when she's performing the ability. Not before, not after. This means that in the right hands, Spirits can still juke Survivors and find ways to counteract this new effect.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2324158#Comment_2324158
Lightborn will NOT counter it.
60 seconds is because otherwise this idea would be useless and Spirit would still be a little too powerful. As for the flashlights, there's things you need to consider:
- Spirit isn't going to be in every match in the game. You won't know it's a Spirit unless you're stream sniping someone. You could still go in a trial completely unprepared for the Power and its weakness.
- This only activates once she uses her power, and the light hits her. So if there's actually some sort of team that tries to take advantage of it, you can always, again, find ways around it as Spirit. Maybe you go hide, maybe you fake phasing, maybe you do anything but sit in front of the Survivor trying to do Spirit things.
Also, you know what? Fine. Some add-ons will now reduce the total duration of the "Lightburn" effect that Spirit is inflicted. Not saying which, so come up with whichever add-on of hers fits with it.
thee has to be a tremendous add-on that reduces 40 seconds
-
- "This version of Lightburn prevents The Spirit from becoming invisible during a Phase Walk for 60 seconds."
Two questions: [1] Lightborn will counter this? [2] Why 60 seconds? Purple flashlight swf? Come on dude.

I experienced that today and I still give money to BHVR. I play on switch; the kingdom of bugs. Im sorry if you cannot handle that. Just deal with it.

Are you not getting one? I am getting one every bloodweb.
Yea. For now, I am saving them up for each character. I decided to do so and not waste them, theyre very rare and others are going to bring cake into trials so I really dont need to waste mine.

I truly think and agree with Bush, atleast another 9k shards should be offered on top of the 9k along with the extension as we have gone through all of this today.

Not really. They're just cosmetics.

Yea. Your right, its pretty sad that BHVR hyped up this to be one of the biggest anniversary events of the year. I myself think that the event is just fine. I mean, I appreciate the shards and shrines but they just really threw me off course. "Biggest Anniversary" Heh.

I love it though!

Maybe nerf how long scratch marks dont appear. maybe 15 seconds for purple

- Running an add-on isn't toxic.
- It's nerf killed it completely. Don't get me wrong Iri Head needed a nerf, but now it's practically useless.
- Some add ons are that grant you instadown or exposed
- Even though its nerfed does it not grant you the ability to insta down? Also have in mind you were running iron maiden?

Iri head is a horrible add-on. What do you mean?
He was using iri head and hes complaining. like- its not horrible because it insta downs survivors. its nerf did make a big impact but it can still be very toxic to run.

This is a good idea because it would be a nice to pair it with a legacy head. Not only that but it'd just be a good one overall. Maybe there could be seasonal crowns as well celebrating individual holidays like christmas, thanksgiving, etc. That way the slot wouldnt just be one type of crown.

Yes, the tentacle strike has range, but it does not pull the survivor to you. This means the survivor gets a few meters head start on top of the 3s speed boost since they're likely being hit at range. Meanwhile, The Nemesis is slowed to a halt.
It doesnt need to. It specifically hits survivors from 10 meters i think? plus againkiller speeds are higher than survivor. you can just quickly catch up.

t-pose :)) i remember i got tposes by being unhooked from pyramid heads special cage

It isnt inconsistent. There are only four syringes and this scenario your providing is very detailed and might be less likely to happen. Yes, you get a speed boost but your tentacle strike hits across multiple meters so it really wouldnt matter. You also are faster than survivors so at some point you may catch up to them. Make sure you entirely see the facts.
As for decisive, just pick them up and get the stun.

Spine chill should be kept as is. I dont think it should need a nerf/buff/rework. Honestly, so many killers have won against it so it doesnt even matter.

Sorry, but your comment is the one that is stupid. The body blocking that can be reported is the type where you are standing in a corner or in a room with one exit and someone comes and blocks you from leaving. Body blocking the killer from the hook isn't the same thing. Heck, body blocking a killer into a corner doesn't count either since the killer can down you or just hit you and lose collision for a few seconds.
"What they did is they trapped me in the corner while crouching next to an exit gate while a crouched survivor goes towards the exit."
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
You do realise that bodyblocking to save a teammate is fine, right? The only time it would be bannable is if a killer or another survivor were to trap a survivor in a spot that they can't leave, and keep them there for an extended period of time.
Protection hits are a part of the game, hell, there's even perks designed around them. They are FAR from bannable. Quit wasting support's time and only report people for actual bannable offenses.

Yeah, I boggled at this one when I saw it. Looks exactly like one of those impossible parody challenges.
I'm irritated because this is a Plague challenge... but the perks that enable it in any sort of controlled fashion, Nemesis and Furtive Chase, aren't her perks and I don't have Ghostface or Oni. They're not even in this week's Shrine of Secrets. So I just straight up cannot do this until I buy a new killer.
Also pretty displeased to see 'hide within 10m of the killer' making its less than glorious return, though at least it isn't a do-in-one-trial this time.
The only way this would work foryou is if you hook your obsession 2 times, and have atleast two people use decisive (must hook them after decisive)
-
This is good on various levels. Hivemind is a bit overpowered and should be implemented with careful power. Also, killing a killer sounds like a cool alternative however if you bring Lightborn that alternative is destroyed for survivors making the extra power useless. Also, maybe elaborate on slashers. It seems like survivors get an extra chance to be a slasher once damaged/killed by an Infector. How would that gameplay work as to not disturb the game mechanics. This killer definitely needs some nerfs to his power and his perks. think it through. However, you completely aced it when it comes to creativity and design! =0)

My point is we're being forced to buy useless crap that we are never gonna use. My Bubba has 71 Speed Limiter Add Ons and my Billy has 62 Speed Limiters.
71+62 = 133
1 speed limiter = 3000 BPs
133 speed limiters x 3000 BPs = 399000 BPs
133 Speed Limiter are just collecting Dust in my end and my 399000 BPs ended up down the drain. I wasted 399K BPs because BHVR forced me to buy those Speed Limiters. Why am I forced to buy crap like these?
Because perks shouldnt just be easily grabbed on, it wouldnt be fair. Imagine at level 20 you have 1-2 full pages worth of perks and your new to the game. that doesnt seem right. Also just deal with it and be patient youll get the perk sometime-

Ah yes my amazing skill to run straight so i can e to a pallet is so amazing i should make a montage. Its like making a montage of freddy putting snares down vs a flickbilly.
All I'm saying is DH doesnt need a nerf. If it was exhaustion wise then Im fine with it but if it interferes with how the perk works in all then thats just plain stupid.

I know that you can bait out Dead Hard. Except in the situation I'm mainly talking about, there is literally zero counterplay. They just press E to the pallet/window and get to waste a bunch of time.
I am saying that in dead zones, it's too easy to bait out and too easy to counter. In loops, it's too strong. It needs a full overhaul because of its bipolar effectiveness.
I'm not even really a Killer main. I primarily play Survivor, and refuse to use the perk due to how stupid I find it.
I don't just want Survivors to get nerfed. I think that the guaranteed obsession in every trial was a wonderful recent change that made the game more balanced. It helped to ameliorate tunneling, it helps solo queue be more coordinated, etc.
In fact, I think that there's still quite a few changes for Killers that need to be made in the Survivor's favor. I think Nurse could overall use an entire rework and Spirit at this point requires a nerf (don't even care if they gut her to be perfectly honest, just sick of going against her). But really, no Killer perk needs addressing except for ones that could use major buffs.
Mostly, I think buffs to the bad stuff are what need to be done, rather than nerfing the good stuff and leaving all the bad stuff alone.
"They just press E to the pallet/window and get to waste a bunch of time." mindgame.

Pop is earned because ya gotta hook a survivor and kick a gen. Nurses the tr warns them anyway unless your a stealth killer and even then just heal on a pallet or a hard to sneak up location. Whats dead hard do to be earned? Ya get hit? I mean i wouldn't say thats really earning. And for distance theres no real counterplay because they can just E to a safe pallet or window. Dead hards in the open ya can bait but for distance no. Exhaustion perks are debatably the best perks in the game on the survivor side.(Dead hards second to sprint burst to second best imo)
"Whats dead hard do to be earned?" Whats earned is your precision and patience/timing to deadhard to the perfect place to evade the killer. If you make a wrong move it'll cost dearly. Plus, your already paying a price to activate it; getting weaker by being injured.
-
"I grinded down to rank 3 in hopes of better matches only to find out how disappointing the matches have been." dude- come on. these are complaints that no one experiences. your also taking about a charm that lets people show their pride and their sexuality in a very fun approach; how would that bring toxicity? Also instead of pressing "enter" to create a new line.

I always hate this argument. No, not every Survivor Perk is trash. Wanna know why I think this? I use perks that are considered "trash" in almost every single one of my matches. You don't need meta to win as a Survivor.
Most of the perks you named here got changed because they created a bullshit scenario.
They killed MoM because it was quite literally a free extra hit to waste even more time and make up for even more mistakes. It also didn't help that it made bad M1 Killers worse and good Killers better (especially since Nurse's Blink Attacks for whatever reason didn't count towards MoM).
They nerfed DS (it's still perfectly useful BTW) because it, especially paired with Unbreakable, created situations where either you eat a DS and each Survivor gets to waste incredible amounts of time with not only >15 meters of guaranteed distance but also a 5-second stun each, or you slug them and then they just get up or someone else picks them up and then they just do a gen (possibly still having DS up too).
They nerfed Balanced Landing because of two reasons. One, it had an unfair advantage over every other Exhaustion perk, by having a use while Exhausted. Two, it made maps like Haddonfield and Badham become near infinites (even though these maps are still problematic) and still is incredibly good on some maps while being awful on others.
They nerfed Lucky Break because, let's be honest, being able to escape like 5 chases for free is ######### stupid. It got buffed in the Resident Evil PTB, by the way, where it's now 60 seconds instead of 45 (unnecessary buff, the perk's still insanely good even before the buff).
They reworked Object Of Obsession because it was too good in Survive With Friends and required a full build and playstyle to be made around it most of the time. It also made one of the weakest Killers in the game, Trapper, pretty much pointless when you had it, along with Hag.
Borrowed Time is probably the most balanced meta perk, even if I hate the playstyle it can promote where Survivors just bomb the hook for free safe unhooks.
Dead Hard is a problem. It either is useless if used wrong or completely stupid if used right. I don't want to get into it too much, because this post is already long, but the basic rundown is that it creates unfair situations and pretty much counters everything that a Killer can do. Chase power? Dead Hard. Sneaking up on you? Dead Hard. You failed to predict a double back or ran into the wall? Dead Hard.
It needs an entire rework, not necessarily a nerf. It's overall worse than Sprint Burst anyways.
It realy does not need a rework. You act like theres no way to counter DH. Just bait it out like a rank 1 killer. This is why we have stupid patches for no utter reason because people like you who are killer mains dont want benefits to survivors but only want benefits to killers.
-
@supersonic853 said:
Because when your going to down a survivor because they outpositioned themself and they E to a pallet its pretty undeserved and fairly annoying? I don't personally run it because i hate its E to outplay factor.
Its not undeserved- DH requires precision patience and time. And there are ways to counter DH by faking your hits and getting real close to them. If DH gets nerfed survivors basically cant have any good perks. How would you feel if they nerfed NOED or Ruin.

So Bite The Bullet seems great. It’s wonderful that the perk confers the noise removal when doing co-op healing, which I’m glad for.
Now... let’s talk about A Nurses Calling. Not exactly top tier meta, but pretty damn popular still. It’s incredibly frustrating running some sort of aura blocking, healing somebody (or being healed by someone), and the killer suddenly shows up mid heal, I see in the post game result killer was running Nurses, and I think “oh... my aura was blocked, but the killer could still see the other survivor”
It’s highly, highly, annoying.
Why cant aura blocking confer to teammates JUST for the healing action?! Please. No other instance, just healing when ONE of the survivors engaged in the healing action cooperatively is running either Off The Record, Distortion, or Sole Survivor. Please.
It feels so pointless running Distortion, Off The Record, or Sole Survivor, only to STILL be found because of a teammates aura being shown to the killer. Players running these perks shouldn’t be DISCOURAGED from assisting teammates (or being assisted by teammates) in case the aura blocking becomes useless.
just bring a medkit or be extra cautious. nurses calling is 28 meters at max. theres ways to counter this. -.-
