What Survivors even like less is camping Killers, which is what would happen with such a change to BBQ & Chilli. The aura-reveal gives Killers and incentive to not camp and go away from the Hook, something Survivors don't seem to realise enough.
Also, any Survivor complaining about that Perk simply can't be bothered to employ any of the multiple counterplays to it. No need to give in to lazy players.
But by giving in to them, they would get exactly what they deserve: Tons of camping and tunneling killers. They spend so much time, asking for nerfs of BBQ, completely forgetting about it´s benefits.
Not a reason to give in.
Survivors don´t know what they want:
- They want the killer to leave the hook
- They don´t want to get seen by the killers aura reading BBQ.
- They want easy unhooks
But if you don´t give a killer a reason to leave the hook, then he´s not going to do it.
Yes and that's why BBQ is fine the way it is.
He knows it's fine the way it is. He's using humour and irony to point out the idiocy of survivors asking for a nerf to a perk that can be played around.

@Tsulan All joking aside, you wouldn't hand over IRL money to the banker of the Monopoly game, would you? He/She would say you're mental and remind you to take your medication.
-
No problem.
Oh, if you happen to run Iron Grasp or Agitation a lot and the basement is under the house, you can carry them there from that corner, but that's very situational. The gen up there is a death trap anyway so just create a crime scene

They have known about it for a very long time now. I reported it WAY back with video and explanation but nothing has been done in the numerous patches since

Still, if that happens to me now I just create a pile of bodies up there in the corner. SWF's with flashlights are the easiest wins.

I remember reading that post a while ago. Nice post, people can take some things away from it Though this is an incredibly contradictory statement & makes me doubt if the poster is actually what they said they are:You can’t control that, or change them, so accept it as a certainty. Try not to read into why they do things - accept them for what they are – like an Evil Dwight. There are evil survivors that just want to loop: accept them as evil loopers and rationalize their gameplay style as an effective one, and rationalize over a new strategy. If the strategy fails, the strategy fails, not you.
You can't say other someone & describe them as "evil" (which is very black & white and VERY othering) and also rationalize their effective gameplay in one breath.
"Evil Dwight" is a meme. It doesn't truly mean "Evil", just check it out on google. There's a steam guide about it.
In any case, a decent read, as a psychologist myself, too.
As a matter of fact tho, it's not entirely right. You can also lose due to yourself, not solely to the strategy. Rationalizing through lies won't help you to get through things, especially if you're very aware that you're part of your own failure.
My advices are pretty simple :
- Play according to your mood.
- When things are turning badly and you get overly emotional (Aka raging after not being able to catch a survivor, failing an earned hit, failing a chainsaw, and such), stay calm and do the best thing you should do in that situation. I personally loved to play Huntress and her Lullaby in that regards, which helps a lot to re-focus on the game itself rather than on your emotions.
- Don't let the addiction get to you when you feel stressed. Even tho there's not definite rule about this, the way to go is usually the following : if you hesitate to stop, you probably should.
- Don't forget that quitting is an option. Not to be abused, obviously, but if you feel like stopping the game, you should definitely do so.
Another psychologist huh? Must be why I like your posts so much.
These tips might help people like @SaltyKiller and @weirdkid5

And if I bought a VW I'd expect it to run like a car, not a car with three square wheels. I gave the example of Warframe to help you here.

Sorry man,The survivor was being instructed BY THE GAME to "FIND HELP" , you being the only surviving survivor in the game, you were the ONLY HELP she could go to. She just thought she could save you the time by coming closer to you to finish the heal.
The Killer was just playing smart and following the wounded prey. They didn't start out playing together, and it was your actions (of leaving her for dead) that led the other survivor to do the only thing she could do to survive.
And as it turns out the Killer rewarded her, seems like a solid strat to me. She lived and you died because you decided to leave her to die. Unfortunately the game is not fair. But by at least doing as much as you did you still got a lot of BP's right ?
No, no, this just pisses me off now.
Claudette was farming with the Clown in the middle of the operation theatre, I had Empathy and saw her injured outline, the Clown kept throwing bottle after bottle after bottle after bottle, each time getting the Intoxication score event while she stood still, then she went to smack all pallets in the vicinity on his head.
When I got closer, she spotted me with her Bond and motioned for the Clown to follow her. She kept following me with the Clown running after her, until he spotted me in the distance, starting the chase. It eventually ended with Claudette waiting atop the closed hatch in the operation theatre, and the clown carrying me into the basement below.
She did not seek help, she sold me out, clearly and without a doubt.
Do not dare ever again assume how a game went if you weren't taking part in it.
You really need to calm down :')
Also, I know for a fact that you just sat there hatch camping and made no effort to help your team, leaving Claudette with little recourse.
You don't know anything, you weren't in that game and stop trying to tell people to calm down, that has ever worked once in the history of humanity.
Even if what you say were true, I have no obligation to help a bunch noobs that get themselves killed. Ultimately, one's personal survival is what counts, not that of anyone else.
Which is what ouland suggested.. that her survival was sought and she got out and you didn't.

Survivors should be allowed to die from Phase 2 by pressing a button instead of spamming to stay alive, due to mere performance issues being able to kill.
only1biggs said:Can you go play console and see what it's like over there?
Or just re-assign your struggle key to NOT be space bar. Mouse wheel down perhaps? I have seen others do this and it works quite well.
You missed the entire point of my post, Biggs.
What made you bring up playing on a different console? What was the point of that?
It doesn’t matter whether I reassign my struggle key to something else because no matter what key it is, I still have to spam it.
My entire argument remains - mere performance issues, frame drops, lag spikes, or Killer lag switches will kill any struggling Survivor on hook.
Rather if BHVR made us instead die on hook by pressing a button, none of these problems would exist. Mousewheel scrolling is the same as spacebar spamming and your health still goes down at the same rate no matter how fast you spin it just like it doesn’t matter how fast you spam the spacebar.
We should not be removed from the trial by hook phase 2 automatically because the Killer got salty and lag-swtched, because our internet failed to keep up, or because our PC dropped frame rates.
Hell, I’ve had a Windows 10 Update is Ready popup on my PC show up that took the conputer’s focus away from my game and killed me on hook.
We need to be able to die on the press of a button - not on the whim of a bad computer or internet or a lag-switcher.My apologies, I misread and misunderstood.
I mentioned console initially as it's far worse there..frame rate etc
-
I'm fairly sure the flag button (and the downvote button before it) is the button you press when you have lost an argument, don't agree and become confused in how to respond, or just being blind to rational thought. That or you have just said something incredibly stupid. But in this playerbase, who can tell?

Only1biggs makes some good counter arguments outside of just "you need to get better at playing killer" because no matter how good you are at killer, survivors can always win if they try. Now onto my thoughts. Not really. The guy insists he's this amazingly super l33t Killer player that states slugging is the best deterrent to gens getting completed and Hillbilly doesn't need Ruin. Among other things. You may as well be saying "Boy, that Flat-Earther made some good points." Nah son.
When have I ever stated that I was amazing or a "l33t" killer? I haven't, just that players should try to improve first instead of whining that things are too difficult.
I elaborated and gave an example on when to slug, but I guess you didn't read that either? If you just slug for the sake of it then you're doing it incorrectly.
I also find it highly ironic that you believe I'm a "no-lifer who shitposts 24/7", considering the complete drivel that you post at more than double my post count. Yeah, I'm a "no-lifer". Good job buddy. Good job.

But yeah, you're right. To complain about this is silly..it usually comes down to connection or frame rate if you're hit anyway.

Aww, so cute. Your ideas are not good, which is why I laughed at them. Anyone with half a brain can see this.
Having a 5th perk slot dedicated to Hex perks is so over powered it's ridiculous. The totem spawn locations need to be fixed.
Having deerstalker and knockout baked into each killer would again be over powered. Remember where you downed a survivor or learn to use Whispers correctly and use your ears. Knockout is pretty useless anyway but can be used in different types of builds if you care to, but why bother? Example - If you down the 1st survivor and they have DS, slug them and use them as bait..you want others to see him to go and help so you can hook the one who heals. At this point you'd have 2 or 3 survivors off gens.
A sweeping attack to hit multiple survivors? So...you can't just hit them one at a time? You want the game to do it for you? What time are you saving with this? Multiple people are OFF gens in your scenario. Punish them by playing correctly.
Introducing more "killer fear factor" is laughable. Newbies would get crushed even harder and the people who aren't scared will be annoyed with nonsense RNG noises giving away their position, or some other obnoxious, Doctor type skill checks or slower healing. There are perks that can do this and killers that can do this. Again, to bake it in would be silly and overpowered and just irritating.
I'm not a "survivor main" and to assume so and then attempt to insult me based off that is just insane.
Get a grip. Your ideas were bad. Get better at playing killer and stop suggesting things that make no sense.

So many babies, it's just incredible.

Gen tapping takes longer to complete a gen than just hitting great skill checks when alone and if with someone else, it's not very efficient and gives the killer info on two survivors whereabouts.
If you gen tap as a survivor, get better at skill checks. If you're a killer and people in your lobby gen tap, don't worry about it, they're idiots.

Counters or no counters. Both Perks have a flawed design premise and should be removed from the game.
Uhh, while I agree that DS needs to be reworked, it can be countered and so it won't be removed. No perk will be removed no matter how much you hate it. Just learn to play around it as I suggested.
I know they likely won't be actually removed so I see "removed" in the sense as replaced. The Perks should be replaced with new Perks that have a different functionality.
And I couldn't care less about any actual or pseudo-counterplay these Perks have, they shouldn't exist in the first place as they go against the game's premise.
Please stop trying to provide counterplays, that's not what this thread is about at all.
Okay, then here's the answer to your thread...the perks won't be removed or replaced. They might be nerfed. In the mean time, I have suggested counter plays to help you.

How BL rewards bad play?If you need me to answer that question, you probably need bloodlust.
If you can't catch a survivor quickly enough or don't know how to run tiles correctly, then you shouldn't be rewarded with a speed boost. There are map designs where bloodlust can't be avoided sometimes, but if you get into tier 2 or 3 of bloodlust, you've probably done something wrong.

If I play against DS, I slug or dribble the obsession, or use basement stairs or another drop to slow them down. If there are more DS users who aren't obsessions, I'll pay attention to where hooks are and act accordingly. If I know a certain player has used DS in the past and they aren't the obsession, I'll dribble once after counting to 4 or 5 and get to a hook if possible or a drop, unless there isn't a hook/drop nearby. While DS is broken and can be a pain, I don't have a problem with it. Most DS users are brain dead any way.
NOED is a bummer if you have outplayed a killer all game and they down and camp you at the end, but, it can be countered by just removing totems and knowing the killers that use it most are Freddy, Pig, Wraith, Hag..then maybe Doc, Trapper.
I never use either perk, but I don't care if others do.Bloodlust rewards bad play and should be removed, except for Tier 1 bloodlust on Tier 1 EW Myers and Tier 1 bloodlust on Hag as she's trash.
-
Yeah, the prices are too high. I can afford it, but out of principal I don't want to purchase anything. Then again, some things I'd have to buy

But, high ranks on both platforms destroy freddy and wraith more than they do with Nurse, period.
All it takes is time to get to rank 1, bud. Sure, you gotta know a little about the game and what you're doing, but on all platforms, rank means little to nothing, especially in regard to how good you are at this game.
Have you seen the difference between a Rank 1 Killer and Rank 20?
Especially the differences on PS4 than PC, Rank 1 Killers sit on PS4 gently at about Rank 8 on PC. There is a difference when it comes to a lot of killers. Meaning, more time than on PS4. And idk, I see some people never even reach high ranks with playing hours upon hours. So many of you guys are so egotistic and don't actually appreciate some killers and survivor are skilled enough to reach high ranks.
And I think it does, have you even played against a Rank 1 Killer vs. a Rank 18? Haha man, if you haven't, you're in for a pretty cute picture on the hook. I given acknowledgement that Rank 1 Killers are genuinely skilled in this game. Most having to deal with looping and all too.
It's easy to bully low ranks man, it's laughable. Completely and utterly a joke. I don't even have to put any effort compared to high ranks where I'm actually attempting to juke and break LoS
Not sure if you intentionally ignored my line of, "Sure, you gotta know a little about the game and what you're doing, but on all platforms, rank means little to nothing, especially in regard to how good you are at this game", but let me elaborate for you.
If you play this game long enough, you will get "better" by learning things..then you will reach red ranks. It's not indicative of skill. I've played at all levels and there are awful killers and survivors at red ranks just as much as low. The difference is, the lower ranked players are usually more immersed and do nothing, whereas the higher ranks think they know it all and make wrong decisions.
So, you have to have a little skill to be able to loop/kill correctly and efficiently, but rank is in no way a reflection of one's skill and ability to do things correctly. If you think this way then you are mistaken. -

Right, but a challenge in what regard? The best way for survivors to keep away from killers is to run certain loops and use them correctly (which most don't). How are they "taking the game hostage from you"? That makes no sense

Another person mentioned hiding, considering the game is "hide and seek" and you agreed..but then the same killers that get annoyed with looping get annoying with survivors being "immersed". I'd rather chase someone than play against the ones that sit around doing nothing all game.
No matter what happens, bad killers will moan and bad survivors will moan and they'll all listen to each other and agree with each others stupid ideas.
