  • I love how people rise to this bait. PC master race is, what..a ten year old meme now? Longer?

I could probably buy and sell the OP's life twice over..I just prefer console (started on PC).

With the recent changes to the pallet mechanic and the upcoming mechanics to exhaustion in DO NOT see any justification for Bloodlust still being in this game.

Killers shouldn't be forced to use Bamboozle to deal with infinite and loops, it's a poor game design and limits playstyle too much, the devs have proven to be ineffective at fixing infinite when I posted all sorts of videos about them. It took them over a year to fix them. They only fixed a bunch but not all with adding new maps, do you think they will be willing to go through all the hassle just to fix them to get rid of bloodlust?

in 3 minutes in high ranked games, all 4 gens can be done, as it is shown in here

Hello, yes I agree with you because it boosts inexperienced killers to higher ranks when they should've been in their respective rank.

Is there a cap to be reached? I presume you lose the speed when dropping a chase?

More often than not when a survivor activates sprint burst despite the killer being behind them the chase will end, and their bloodlust will go away, same can be said for when killers are breaking a pellet

Again, you posted this like it's evidence of something other than a killer being brain dead.

    Pellets have families too.

Bloodlust rewards bad killers with a speed boost. It needs to go. I say this as a "killer main". It's awful.

I would like to suggest that it be changed to only affect Myers in Tier 1 of Evil Within and the Hag and to ONLY be
    Bloodlust Tier 1.

looks at ways this OP post about Bloodlust throughout thread Yep...definately a killer main...and not some salty survivor main who wants to win every chase by abusing infinites and bad map design.

I main KILLER and don't moan about EVERYTHING. I know it's a hard concept to swallow.

  • @Nickenzie I'm not sure I want anyone being rewarded with speed for doing nothing. I'd rather just have people outplay better.

Based on what you have said here and your other posts, you don't seem to grasp that the killer making a choice to chase a survivor around one of the structures you mentioned, IS A MISTAKE.
Yes, many of the maps are poorly designed with certain tiles being ridiculous, but why should a stupid killer be rewarded with a speed boost (which is a massive game changer in this game for both sides) for making a mistake or a bad play?

If you think that's fine then that's no different than asking the Devs to bring back infinite, aka safe spots. A killer is not supposed to go after them sounds legit right? back then when killers chase a survivor all you got to do is sprint burst back to infinite, then he gives up, he chases some other guy, he does the same rinse and repeat

Here is a video of me going against Tru, I could have gone for hours on this permanently but I stopped since I was just showing how broken infinite is, you really think such things are fine?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsie4pHH99E

the updated stone circle is no different, you can infinite with it if the killer does not have bloodlust, and the entity will not block the window due to it being more than a 12-or so seconds run, this applies to many places as well

This isn't 2.0 so it's invalid. This is also the 2nd time I have seen you post a video of Tru who is not a good killer and moans constantly when he makes mistakes. I guarantee that if HE suggested removing bloodlust, you'd be all over his nuts and agree, crying it from the rooftops.

You just embarrassed yourself, well done.

Hello, yes I agree with you because it boosts inexperienced killers to higher ranks when they should've been in their respective rank. However I'll like to suggest an alternative for Bloodlust if you don't mind while making it unreliable. Why do I wanna make Bloodlust unreliable? So killers will have to rely on skill rather than a speed boost to help them win chases, that's my goal.
Basically you'll get a 0.2% increase in movement speed every second while in a chase. This is a lot less than the regular Bloodlust and inexperienced killers can't rely on it as much, thus where the killer will need actual skill instead of a speed boost to win chases. Now I don't wanna any salt from this, I want feedback please!

Is there a cap to be reached? I presume you lose the speed when dropping a chase?

That survivor you spoke of can be baited out by downing other teammates.

I give up..it's just way easier for people to complain and moan and not think instead of getting better or out thinking someone else.

    Bloodlust rewards bad killers.

adorable. you play enough EVERYBODY knows where the safe spots are. that stays for as long as you put any amount of thought into playing the game. come on

and those other survivors you found will just run to the safe spots

it is way easier for people to complain and moan and not think ( like what you are doing here) instead of getting better or out thinking someone else

bad survivors allow killers to get blood lust

So you're taking what I say and flipping it to fit your narrative? Wha? I mean, you're wrong. I'm not moaning either. At all. Just calling for something that is no longer needed to be removed from the game as bad killers need it.

Walterwhite went into detail on why it rewards bad killers.

Bad survivors get killed very quickly. I'm truly not sure what you're blathering about.

    Are you okay?

  • @WalterWh1te You have way more patience than I to explain all that to them, thank you. I just thought it was painfully obvious, so suggested that the devs remove it.

It needs to stay as long as the map design is at it is, as it is a decent bandaid fix to infinites.

Now you have Bamboozle and the clown. Then there's outplaying someone.

I mean, I've already stated that some tiles are insane, but, don't go on those tiles to chase someone. Wait until you have baited them away or until they are last survivor and THEN bloodlust them if you have to.

Bloodlust rewards bad killers. It needs to go with the exceptions I have mentioned (Hag and Myers EW1).

As long as those tiles are insane, bloodlust is needed.
You know what the real mess is? That infinites are still the place, where you have to drop a chase and chase someone else. Play some r1 games yourself where everyone beelines to those windows and you see the real problem with bloodlust. Its the broken windows

I've played many rank 1 games -.- Are you another who thinks that rank means anything or is indicative of skill?

I just said how to not rely on bloodlust...are you just intentionally being dishonest or replying without reading first? :/

    I doubt you're a rank 1 killer.
And your suggestion is chase someone else. You're 2 years late for that meme.
We dont do it cause its the better play, but because its the only option.

if the survivor has found a safe spot then they will stay there as long as the killer as anywhere close enough to start chase and once the killer abandons them to go find other people that guy will just go do gens
if the killer ever finds that guy again then that survivor will just run back to his safe spot

blood lust punishes survivors for completely ignoring the philosophy of this game, which is that killers should be scary

  • @Someissues The killer is brain dead. That's your answer.

Guess he should be rewarded with blood lust?

All this video shows is a bad killer being rewarded for bad play...that rank means nothing, and Tru abusing a spot of a map instead of running different tiles correctly.

  • @Someissues said:
You got to fix the pellets issue first, anything more than 12 pellets in a map is a joke in a nutshell. All gens are done by the time you hook the second survivors since pellet removes bloodlust

If you are getting hit by killers with bloodlust that means you were heavily abusing the loop

Myer tier 1 can't get bloodlust, he can be infinite permanently in loops, tier 1 bloodlust will not help with that issue unless it's 3

Without Blood Lust, all maps in cold wind farms will become an infinite spot, in the stone circles and in the farm house with the hays. Currently, you can do 2/ 3 loops / more if Killer respects Pellet, if Bloodlust does not exist you can loop the killer forever

you can also infinite at any shacks, with just going around back and forth without bloodlust

Based on what you have said here and your other posts, you don't seem to grasp that the killer making a choice to chase a survivor around one of the structures you mentioned, IS A MISTAKE.

  • I had to stop the video at 2mins because you were picking up in the open when you knew people with flashlights were around you. Luckily for you the survivors were trash also.

If you want to camp against people like that go ahead, they didn't give you much choice, but you could also learn and be better and just kill them easily without the need for camping. You could have slugged the first, downed another, then another, then start picking up facing walls or angles they can't reach.

I love playing against idiots like this, it's a win 9 times out of 10.

All they need to do is to get rid of the infinites, window loops and ultra safe pallet loops.

Maybe a bp bonus for playing against swfs like 25%.

However the current state is nearly unplayable against good survivors.

So you do the easy thing instead of learning and getting better with a more advanced killer than PleasureFace, then want the game to be made easier for you, then make camping even more viable when those changes are made?

If survivors can loop then sexy old leatherface can camp. Whatever works. I've been feeling the urge to camp a lot more recently too. I've been turning off my end-game chat and have been getting 2-3 sacrifices per game, sometimes everyone. Tunneling is required though if they sneak through.

You may not be consciously trying to ruin people's fun, but you are if you play a certain way. If that's how you play, it's not a problem, as you can do as you wish within the rules of the game and without exploiting..but don't then say, "but this is all I can do" because it's not true.

Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. Internet down/up speeds are no indication at all for stable connections. In my appartment I am using the free internet connections (why pay for more, I dont need it). I have 700 kb/s down and about 100 up, yes KILO, not mega. Still I am playing with a 20 ms ping because its a glasfibre connection. The only disadvantage is when I am trying to download games or patches, but I will just do sth else in the meantime

Capped at injured? Tier 1 bloodlust all around!? No speed boost after a hit? Survivors that are re-hooked a re dead? So no 3 lives concept, just... 2 hooks and you're out and it's now easier to catch them and hook them?

    You just killed the game.

Here's an idea.. when the game starts, all survivors spawn in the basement and the killer spawns at the top of the stairs. As soon as the first survivor is hit, they are teleported to the hook and the rest of the survivors are downed. It's then a race for the killer to hook everyone as fast as he can.

If you actually read the comment, you'd see I'm not suggesting every single thing on that list should be implemented. Let me know when you actually read it so we can have a proper discussion.

You do seem like you never played killer on rank 1 against good survivors.

A chase against a good survivor takes 1 minute MINIMUM to end potentially with downing the survivor. Without any infinites or decisive strike.
In this time nearly 3 gens can be popped. With ruin like 2.

So in the most optimal way, I can down a survivor in a minute.
A hook stage takes 1 minute.

Camping the player would hinder 2 players from doing gens and GRANTS me a kill, which is the main objective of a killer. (1 player NEARLY ALWAYS waits for the unhook on rank 1)

This strategy would guarantee me atleast 2 kills against survivors without BNP or insta find ruin.

Sorry, that I don't enjoy loosing over and over again for doing absolutely perfect.

Well, yes you can. You can slug the first guy with ds, dribble, drop from heights, dribble after a few seconds of struggle for others you think might have ds... You have to be near for borrowed time to activate, so why not just chainsaw the one who saved and then chase the one with ds, leave him to heal for two health states to waste his time, then hook the one you just chainsaw'd. I don't know I wasn't in your game, but it seems like there are options and if you are playing to the best of your ability right now, then you're probably not as good as those you faced and/or you made a lot of mistakes.

Good survivors with crutch perks dominate if they know what they are doing and aren't brain dead..most of the player-base is brain dead. Sure, there are exceptions and also wild outliers like having 4 top players in one lobby playing in a manner that is not how people play the game normally...to say this is normal is not true and dishonest though.

    So uh..."git gud"? :/

Well first of all you can't dribble if you are not near a hook so I don't know where that is coming from plus it wastes time anyway. I did hit the borrowed time survivor and then go after the rescuer, but the rescuer got to a pallet and the guy that was bleeding out just got near instantly healed by his team mates. In regards to making lots of mistakes, I made a few in the match of course, but what killer doesn't? Yet for some reason these few mistakes may have cost me. So what.... I am supposed to play flawlessly? Impossible.
Most of the player base are NOT braindead when it comes to high rank ( which is what I am talking about here ). "git gud"? How about the game gets balanced to make killers an ACTUAL threat first.

Yeah, I don't know what to tell you. If you are knowingly making mistakes and then asking for a win or complaining about losing, then you need to have rethink.

And if you are a billy and you went after the rescuer AFTER the one who was unhooked, then you tunneled? I mean...you could have downed the one who saved, then get a hit on the one who was rescued, then gone back and hooked the guy who you downed. This is just based on the very limited info I have.

Anyway, keep complaining or try to learn...there will be bad games for everyone.

Or just listen to like minded killers, of which there are MANY and just circle jerk each other.

Oh don't worry I absolutely will keep complaining until killer balance is addressed properly

Good luck buddy. In the mean time, perhaps get better and learn more? I'm not being rude saying that :)

No haste though, that would be very irritating for killers, and ignoring damage would be silly too.

Just have the bloodpoints thing and improve noise reduction when moaning.

if killer knows someone using this no mither they gonna hang on right away
    not let them recover
its only benefit killer in game but have more bloodpoints when they escaped

My god, so many bad ideas smh ...I don't even know where to begin :D

I did read your post and understood everything, hence my opening gambit of, "My god, so many bad ideas".

    I await our discussion.

I adapted my play style from trying to have fun to just camping everyone down, in order to win.

I changed my camping style tho.
Sometimes I do a hard camp with no escape change, when I want my victim to dc or kill themself.
Sometimes a proxy camp to make them think, there is hope this hooked person can be saved, but there pretty much isn't any however. (to get them away from gens)
But most of the times I just facecamp with my good old friend leatherface. (to trigger salty swfs with bt)

I am now rank 2 and I get 40k every round with my bbq. I dont even use addons, just crutch perks.
I am literally forced to play this style and I get confused if survivors make mistakes, because in the most cases, they don't.

All they need to do is to get rid of the infinites, window loops and ultra safe pallet loops.
    Additional the gen times should be adjusted by the current player count. 4p = 120sec, 3p = 80sec, 2 = 60sec, 1 = 45sec.

Nice. Great idea. Well done. Applause.

If survivors can loop then sexy old leatherface can camp. Whatever works. I've been feeling the urge to camp a lot more recently too. I've been turning off my end-game chat and have been getting 2-3 sacrifices per game, sometimes everyone. Tunneling is required though if they sneak through.

Okay, great. Camping is viable but for you to suggest ideas to make it even more so is stupid. Not everyone likes to play like a boosted cretin and ruin everyone else's fun.

  • Agreed, but if they block hooks just get hits on them.

And the fix for pallet looping:

So if i understand this correctly, When chasing and bloodlust activates; If you kick a pallet the bloodlust disappears?

Fix; Bloodlust doesn't disappear, and not only that. Each stage of bloodlust gives you a small bonus to Vaulting, kicking, breaking.

This is the stupidest thing I have read here in a matter of minutes. You want more bloodlust when bloodlust rewards bad play? :/

I'm a "killer main" and bloodlust should be tier 1 ONLY and exclusive to Myers in Tier 1 EW and the Hag. That's it. If you rely on bloodlust get better at the game.

    Ridiculous.

  • Sorry dude, but if you know you didn't play ideally and you were tired and such, then why post this? Everyone knows this is the worst map for killers (those who know the game anyway).

Did you just want a nice easy game and to be be handed a win? :/

Maybe you should be asking for tips on how to improve? The main problem with most killers is they think there is some skill ceiling to be hit too early (perpetually spouted by fools like tydetyme and regurgitated on forums) instead of stopping and thinking and learning more. Sure, the game is survivor sided in many cases, but it's no reason to just complain constantly.

  • Worst map in the game, unlucky..

    But, you made several mistakes.

Why stop the chase and kick that pallet, to then chainsaw into something. You then continued chasing around that disgusting building instead of switching targets @1:06?

Then you switched targets when you didn't need to @4:26. They had given you an opportunity to use the 3 gen strat, which on Billy would have meant you could have snowballed.

You missed another chainsaw when the gen popped @5:08 and there were two people there. Two people you could have downed in quick succession.

The game was over by the time you downed Dwight at the end...should have just slugged him and ran to a door to try for some more chainsaws and get lucky :/

Don't get me wrong, the map and that setup was disgusting and it's a nightmare, but once again, there were mistakes made that could have turned the game.

This again? This means nothing. If you believe that all your games as killer are against 4 sweaty guys who are only out to make you de-pip and not do anything else...then you are delusional.

We all know it's survivor sided when up against 4 survivors who know what they are doing, but that is so rare it's laughable. Killers need to stop whining and learn and become better. I know because I used to moan too.

Again, the "experiment" showed nothing more than an extreme variant of play style, which is an outlier and can't be looked at when balancing a game.

You will have good and bad games. The amount of games where the killer makes mistake, after mistake, after mistake and then proceed to moan and whinge about how unbalanced a game is.... it's pathetic. Take responsibility and learn from mistakes and realise that when you go up against a sweaty squad, it means nothing. Take the L and move on. It's a rarity.

If it's not a rarity for you, you're probably a bad killer.

Speaking as a killer main, this is not as much of a rarity as you make it out to be (though it's not as common as others complained in the past either). For me, this can be as frequent as every 5th game where you run into a team that has nothing but the intent to annoy the killer and trashtalk them and it's even at times unsatisfying to win against them because that's simply not fun even if I won. I will say that I don't think the solution will be to just burn SWF to the ground as I additionally tend to play with friends without malicious intent towards the killer, rather just to have fun which is something I aim to have when I play a game.

The problem is that the game currently promotes unfun gameplay which includes looping for ages, abuse of near-infinites, full meta loadouts constantly as opposed to variety (on both ends), tunneling and BMing (on both ends). Sure you can win but was it fun? To me, there's nothing that's fun about going around a piece of wood and then breaking it, going to another piece of wood and then running around it to break it again, down the survivor and get DS'd, recover and then run around more wood until they get downed again. As a killer, I would like to see more features promote stealth and discourage looping so that in return people wouldn't need to tunnel or camp (well, unless they want to, in which case I can't really help you there).

Yes, you will have both good and bad games but out of how many of them will you have fun? I don't need to win or lose to have fun, I just need a game that doesn't end in 5 or less minutes that also doesn't revolve around some giant building with a million and a half pallets & windows (which, I have nothing against maps with big buildings, I'm just using this as an example). The one thing I've realized by getting to rank 1 and then sitting at the rank 10+ area is that no matter where you are, you're bound to run into the same exact annoyance in a game because most survivors simply just do the same thing meaning that I in return am simply forced to just run the same builds unable to change without the very likely chance that my game would be over in less than 5 minutes.

It's also not like these complaints come without reason, the survivors really don't need all their fancy perks, infact right now I sit at around rank 10 (and still going up) as a survivor without self-care, decisive strike or sprint burst but rather builds to just lose the killer. I'm not saying killers have no blame in the issue at all and I'm not saying I know a better solution to this but this doesn't imply someone is a bad killer as that's simply being ignorant to the problem. Someone like me won't care if they win or lose, they will just want to have some fun with the game without the need to go absolute tryhard.

So in those 1 in 5 games, punish them..by getting better.

    Fun is subjective.

Meta builds will be found in all games. Multiplayer BM'ing has been around for a long time, not sure why the player base of DbD think it's so exclusive to them.

Trying hard isn't an insult. If you like to win and try hard to do so, that's fine.

Okay? So you got unlucky, or you're not that good? I mean, I'm not being rude, but, did you play well? Was there nothing you could have done differently or more efficiently to swing the game in your favour? Did you try to play around d-strike or borrowed time? I am expecting a huge problem with frame rate in general though when I play more when the store has updated.

Tombstone and Unlimited EW3 - Whispers, Enduring, Play With Your Food, Ruin (stalk until EW2, find obsession and get all stacks of PWYF, kill and then continue on killing with your speed boost intact)

Tombstone Piece and J Myers Memorial - Dying Light, Whispers, Ruin, Enduring (Stalk a bit, find obsession, use tombstone piece to kill them quickly and get the benefits of Dying Light asap)
