Yeah, I still think it's a very unfun strategy and ruins the game for the survivor who gets killed early. But, often not tunneling ruins the game for killer if it's the only way to build up pressure FAST, and failing to do so means too many gens popping.
I had a game that wasn't going very well, couldn't really find and down survivors fast enough. There was the weakest survivor in a hook and the best looper unhooking him. At that point, I had zero pressure and couldn't really waste my time chasing the player who could run for ages. Since I was playing Tunnel Head, I wasn't afraid of DS either and decided to cage that unlucky Meg.
A little later I ran into her accidentally and her team mate basically threw himself into me thinking that I was going to tunnel again, giving me an easy alternative target.
They managed to do all the gens, but I managed to kill them all before they could escape, so it was a really close call. I'm pretty sure that if I decided not to tunnel that one hook, it would have been a 4-man escape for sure. A lot of times I lose horribly when playing nice.
Tbf I've almost never had to tunnel but recently survivors have been alot more challenging to the point of sometimes I almost feel oppressed to do so

I dont have an issue with wraith unless they use an exhaustion perk mod speed boost

Well, log in solo Survivor and tell me what you think next time you face a decent Wraith.
He moves too damn fast, yes people used to use add-ons to do this, now they dont have to, so they get all the best benefit plus another add-on slot.
Trying to flashlight him is ridiculous, he's too fast and, thats if you caught his shimmer right away, trust me, I've tried.
His add-ons are ridiculous, all seeing and silent bell are far too powerful.
Yes, he can be looped but, if you are looping as Wraith, you already did it wrong.
I do dh is still way more common than wraith. The wraiths that I struggle with are the ones who.dont commit to me when I get to a good spot. Sorta like. stealth killers not supposed to be a massive chase killer

Maybe bt ran out before they noticed 😂
He just got off the hook I followed a jeff beck to the hook and he runs at me then proceeds to get satly
-
Not seriou btw his guns a grapple when he shoots it sticks to anything it hits. He can pull him self faster to the shot or pull him self up to a second floor.
His chain has been changed to wrap around objects like how chains do so as a surivor you can attempt to wrap around a tree and he could pull himself up without it instantly breaking

There's only one thing that scares me more then Michel or ghost face
Bubba without tinkerer

Bruh theres worse someone called me a tunnler when they ran at me with no bt or ds

Voice chat would be crap, because toxic survivors would use it to insult you or just spam music/loud noises. And if it could be turned off, then it'd just be redundant.
Kindred base kit, without the element of seeing the killer near the hook, would be a better solution to the solo queue/SWF disparity.
Well almost like some games give you a opt in and out of voice chat option

Wow we've come so far starting in April and we got something. A start
But sadly its not over yet. this update was great and hopefully they can do another to fix the last of the issues
And make the game playable for a long time for everyone

Either I am really bad informed and CoconutRTS is really trashtalking the game quite often (I have seen a few videos from him and they are alright, but I did not watch him very often) or you are thinking about a different Coconut.
Space coconut is the one that trash talks alot coconuts rts is a really good huntress player

On a real note his addons should be changed other than the bell one because bing bong bing bong

Blight is the most perfect Killer in this game. He is strong, but counterable. He has mobility, he has lethality, he has everything a strong killer needs, but like I said, he can be countered
Because he can chase well and get around the map that's about it
-
Idk man I would say they are bad but the amount of time I've had people throw the game because I wanted my 2sd kill is incredible
Sure they might of not been good but you played that worse

I dont feel it it's only happening once to me today and the survivor was a but laggy

I'm assuming they tested him without recoil & found him too easy to down & injure people.
That is possible
but same could be said for huntress or deathslinger deathslinger dosent have weapon sway
huntres's arm dosent get tired and starts to go in random directions
I could get tricksters knives being less centered as he throws faster but it dosent explain the recoil

@Lordofweed said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/269389/so-why-dose-trickster-still-have-recoil
Just dont play Trickster. I know, my comment will probably not help you that much, but you will have a way better time without the Depipster. Unless you want to derank, i would probably choose other Killers.
You should try Deathslinger or Huntress, they are pretty fun i can tell. Deathslinger is easy to play and you can do a 360 Quickscope! You can also fake a Quickscope and bait Dead Hard x) It's so much fun if you got his meta Perks.
That's the issue if I wasn't some what enjoying something about him I wouldn't play him but I am semi enjoying him with the buffs but I just cant control the recoil if they aren't running in straight lines

I don’t know if this is a good place to post this and if this is even a general issue or just my finding, but as the console performance discussion was a lot about HDD issues lately, maybe it can give some additional information/insight.
I did some hard disk activity logging with Windows Process Monitor because I was interested what might cause the issues that could be related to the HDD/SSD issue, even I don’t really have this issue on PC.
As the findings in terms of performance were mixed with the 5.1.0 patch, I was not sure what to expect, but there was and still is a lot of situational hard disk activity during a match, which I find questionable because I believe these assets could also be load to memory during loading screen, but I don't want to speculate about how the game works.
However, what’s new with patch 5.1.0 for me is a lot of failed reading of HUD assets from the hard disk (and probably replaced the NAME INVALID errors I have seen in 5.0.2). E.g. the game permanently tries to load the icon for undetectable status (while playing Ghostface) and perk icons (even if they are still there visible) from hard disk, it can’t find on the hard disk.
Numbers (all from the same match):
filtered hard disc activity during the recorded trial: ~28000 log entries
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/P66BMDWCXLQE/bild1.png
including NAME NOT FOUND messages: ~46000 log entries
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Y2VP4WY3C2NN/bild2.png
including PATH NOT FOUND messages: ~234000 log entries
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/B8JTPQ9T4VIL/bild3.png
I just thought the Steam update didn’t worked out well, so I freshly reinstalled DBD after this first finding, but nothing changed.
As I don’t experience significant performance issues with this, I don’t mind, but it’s still questionable.
Logged KYF match on PC (played vs myself, PC Ghostface, Stadia Nea):
Situational hard disk access:
scratch marks first time: 3:12
idk, just moving: 5:30
reveal + injured: 5:40
…
ProcessMonitor filter options:
excluded NAME NOT FOUND at 1:55
included PATH NOT FOUND at 8:30
excluded PATH NOT FOUND at 9:40
included PATH NOT FOUND at 9:55
excluded PATH NOT FOUND at 10:05
Just to make it clear: I don't want to proove or speculate about issues. I just wanted to share my findings. Maybe somebody else can confirm this, especially PC players that experience more stuttering/freezing issues with 5.1.0. I don’t know if PC is different to consoles in this aspect or even PC exclusive with 5.1.0 or just a finding with my installation.
BTW, it looks like Stadia has these stuttering/freezes many console players reported here (when finish gens and so on), but could be network related as well (didn’t Google said they use SSD on their Stadia server blades?).
Some other public match ProcessMonitor footage:
DBD 5.0.2. Game + Logs on SSD (NAME INVALID Messages at 0:20 and 5:25, related to HUD icons):
DBD 5.0.2 Game + Logs on HDD (feels less smooth than on SSD):
DBD 5.1.0. Game + Logs on SSD (with NAME/PATH NOT FOUND filtered):
This is actually great, and we thank you for your efforts.
@Pulsar what do you think of that

I feel like this was a buff went from 18 to 12 knives and they adjusted his total accordingly the only thing I dont like was the reduced max rof

Huh I haven't had any massive issues. Since the update. The issues are still there but drastically better and if they keep this up I may be willing to support the game again but until then no.
Like I haven't been able to use deadhard since twins came out. I can finally use it

Normally I wouldn't agree to change this perk because stridor exists. But now that it's no longer affected by it's yes.
either stridor need a complete rework or it needs to be reverted. Or even simpler spirit isn't affected by any sound based perks

It's still not fixed butits better than it was

Next update: changed some of spirits addons and predator to make footsteps louder

So what this is proven is that:
- If survivors complain enough they can get anything nerfed (already proven like 73 times already)
- That balance devs make changes at the right times, however said changes are bad/refuse to acknowledge issues.
Instead of letting trickster get to live they caved in with the survivor "unCoUntErAbLe" complaints even though the 10 second decay time actually gave him counterplay.
Despite having counterplay on ptb, some people still found him unfun, which is ok. They tried to make him more fun to verse for everyone by doing absolutely nothing to his 1v1 on ptb and making his 1v4 even weaker by nerfing total blade count, making him reload more often.
This change did absolutely nothing to make him more fun to verse, this only making him weaker and less fun to play which is a horrible change.
Both sides have lost. He is "boring" to verse and now he's even less fun to play due to having to reload after each chase. And he's weaker. And his added blade add ons do nothing now.
I am just confused by the thinking that comes with some of these changes.
Uhh hes not the worst killer anymore that goes to legion
-
They should just completely rework stridor because its useless right now.
before it only countered ironwill now it dosent even do that

I am kind of sick of only being able to play “M1” killers. I play on console (PS4), and as we know, there is an extreme amount of glitches and bugs littered throughout the game. The game is still playable when you’re playing killers who just M1, but if you start getting into ranged or more precise killers (huntress, slinger, twins), the whole game implodes on itself. Well implodes might the wrong word, the hit detection is just so off that you cannot use your power correctly. Either it robs you of a hit, or it gives you a random hit you didn’t deserve (though this happens rarely). I used to be a pretty good huntress player, I was never great, but I was good. Now even against bad teams I’ll struggle because the hatchets don’t work. i even tested this with a friend, where I stood point blank in front of him and threw a hatchet directly at him. It hit 1 out of 5 times.
My main question is, what advice do you have for me to replace huntress? I played huntress previously because she was really fun, now I pretty much only play killers like wraith, who I love, I’m just getting really bored of not being able to play the more creative killers. I miss having fun with this game, now it’s sort of a stressful mess for me to deal with, and I desperately want to get that fun back.
is there any interesting or particularly fun builds out there that you’d recommend? I just want something creative that’s not just my basic doctor and wraith games I have to keep playing.
if you read all that, thank you so much for your time, I am just getting increasingly frustrated with how this game functions sometimes. I love the horror ascetic, I just miss the fun.
My advice play something else until the mid chapter and pray that it's good edit though you were struggling with frame drops

There are many ways to use the same power. You know how some Doctors try to get everyone to Madness 3, while others just use the Static Blast to find survivors and then shock them to prevent them from using pallets or vaulting or whatever? That's what a playstyle is: even when you have the same tools, you can still play differently.
But blights kit is limited with the exception of speed blight. simmlar to nurse their play styles are limited only adjustable by addons.
-
Yeah. when no mither gets buffed.

If all Blights equip the exact same perks and play in the exact same way, that just means they can all be countered using the exact same strategy.

The Gardener
Killer with plant power - Killer type: Trap
Realm: Red forest
Speed: 110%
Power: Seed
Killer can carry 10 seeds at a time. Able to switch ability before laying seed under the ground. Depend on each ability, the seed on the ground give a different effect.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3EIWF79WMRDG/image.png
Ability 1: Spike trap
If you're 16m near the seed, you can pull up Spike trap to damage Survivors.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LUCQUQPIIZYR/image.png
Ability 2: Flower gas trap
After 15sec, the seed grows and become a Flower, it release gas (like Clown Afterpiece tonic) in 4m radius, slow down Survivors. Survivors can remove the flower in 8sec (like they do with Demo's portal)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ICWS9WIQ1XCU/image.png
Ability 3: Plant blocker
After 60sec, the seed grows and become a Plant block the path, Survivors can remove the plant in 16sec(like they do with Demo's portal)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6J0EJ7RRBQZI/image.png
Survivor cant see and remove seeds until it become Flower gas trap or Plant blocker.
Add-on:
Increase Maximum seed
Increase Flower gas trap radius
Decrease Flower gas trap growing time
Increase Plant block removing time
Decrease Plant block growing time
Iri seed: Remove Flower gas trap ability, Spike trap now also release gas in the same radius when trigger.
Iri seed 2: Remove Flower gas trap ability, Plant blocker now also release gas.
While I dont see the connection to a hunter another brilliant idea

I saw an opportunity and took it this is now a Deathgarden chapter. This was written across my pc and my phone over like 3 different sessions so forgive me if there's any grammatical issues.
New Killer: The hunter
Available in the Deathgarden: BLOODHARVEST DLC.
The Hunter is a brutal killer, able to defend an area and incapacitate survivors. Using his perks, So Close, Speed Demon, and Predatory, he is rewarded for hooking and hitting survivors with additional prowess in a chase and further control of generators.
Speed: 4.4m/s
Terror Radius: 24m
Height: Tall
Bio:
"In the wake of the war, the world stood still. Society had reached it's peak. Defending the Enclaves- cities filled with resources that were symbols of despair for the losing side- the Hunters and Scavangers would collide. Tomás Guerra was one such hunter, dubbed The Inquisitor during his occupation, and would often bring brutal victories for their side. Anyone he considered a threat was hunted down and forced to enter the Bloodharvest, collecting the masks of anyone unfortunate enough to cross his path in the Gardens.
That was, until one day, the Gardens were empty. There were no Scavangers, nobody responding from the Collective, not even any of his fellow hunters. Only a thick, dark fog that rolled in across the frozen landscape of the Fire in the Sky, which promised more blood to hunt, more Scavangers to hunt, and no end to this bloodlust.
Welcome to the eternal game of life and death; the Hunter has entered the Arena."
Weapon: Biotechnical arm
Once the pride of Guerra and a symbol of his identity, the once-deformed arm now serves as a replacement for his guns.
Power: The Hunt
Press and hold the Power Button to activate The Hunt. While The Hunt is active:
- Hold the Active Ability Button to place down an Idle Drone at your current location. Press and hold the Active Ability Button while standing over an Idle Drone to activate it. Any Active Drones will fly into the sky and cast a cone-beam across a 40m area for 75 seconds, after which they return to the ground in an Idle State. Any survivors caught within this beam have their auras revealed. Survivors can disable Active Drones and Idle Drones by completing a short action while standing directly next to or beneath these drones.
- Hold the Active Ability Button over a chest to hack it. Any hacked chests will take 5 seconds longer to search, and upon completing a search will injure a healthy survivor.
- Press the Active Ability Button to activate Super Charge, increasing your movement speed for a short time.
Special Ability: Anti-Personnel Turret
Press and hold the Active Ability Button while The Hunt is not active to place down an Anti-Personnel Turret. These will remain hidden unless a survivor walks or runs nearby, at which point it will release a barrage of shots towards the survivor until it runs out of ammo or deactivates. Any survivor who recieves enough damage will be damaged for one health state. Crouching at any point during the barrage will deactivate the Anti-Personnel Turret. The Hunter can place up to 3 Anti-Personnel Turrets at any one time.
Power Trivia:
- It takes 4 seconds to place an Idle Drone and 2 seconds to activate it.
- Active Drones will not fly through ceilings, limiting their range if they get stuck, however will reveal through walls.
- The cone-beam is red in colour and any revealed survivor is notified through a red VFX on their screen.
- Disabling an Active Drone to an Idle Drone takes 10 seconds. Disabling, and thus destroying, an Idle Drone takes 15 seconds.
- Hacking a chest takes 3 seconds and lasts for 75 seconds.
- Super Charge increases movement speed to 5.2m/s for 10 seconds, and The Hunter retains full movement during this time. The Hunter is able to attack during this time, too.
- Once Super Charge runs out of duration, The Hunter suffers a cooldown period of 3 seconds.
- Super Charge takes 60 seconds to recharge.
- Anti-Personnel Turrets take 2 seconds to arm and 1.5 seconds to disarm. Crouching during the arming period will cause the Anti-Personnel Turret to enter the disarming period, and a survivor standing up during this time causes it to re-enter the arming period.
- Anti-Personnel Turrets can be manually disabled by survivors while disarmed while directly next to one. This action takes 13 seconds.
- Survivors go down after being shot 10 times.
- There is a 0.2s delay between shots.
- Anti-Personnel Turrets will automatically be destroyed 130 seconds after initially fully completing the arming process. Alternatively after they have shot 100 bullets.
- Anti-Personnel Turrets use a laser sight to show where they are aiming. They can be juked by survivors by moving erwtixally- they are projectiles and the AI controlling them should not be pinpoint accurate (but not to the point of being useless).
Perks:
So Close: Injuring a survivor provides a 10%/12%/14% bonus to Successful Attack and Missed Attack recovery speed. This effect lasts for 20 seconds and doesn't stack with itself.
"Everyone likes a good story, like a Scavenger getting just within reach of a Blood Bank before being downed. It's dramatic, and I've been told it's popular."
Speed Demon: Increases movement speed by 5%/5.5%/6% for 30 seconds after hooking a survivor. Stacks.
"Enhanced bearing and more powerful actuators in all your suit's joints will mean that you can sprint more quickly."
Predatory: A true hunter at heart.
After hooking a survivor, Predatory activates. Any generators damaged over the next 45/50/55 seconds are blocked by The Entity for 30 seconds.
Bro this sounds amazing Iand now i want to see a death garden cross over in dbd

The game map for example, got a pallet that once you drop it, you will drop a floor down.
The thing here is, if you are smart and not injured you can stand there and bait the killer for a hit. Once he hit you, you can go to the other end of the pallet again and drop it which results in the killer dropping down while you are still up. For the killer to come back he would need to waste ALOT of time which is more than enough for a survivor to hide.
What do you think about this pallets? Should these ones get changed?
Not sure right now if they exist on other maps too besides pigs map.
Those pallets your talking about are ok because you gave to break them but you get staggered unless you having balanced landing.
A better example would of been the god pallets in the game where if you drop them you cant go around and have to kick them
