You could hear spirits footsteps. That didn’t make old prayer beads fair.
A smart demo player gets around being seen by making sure thought is put into portal placement so that they can take full advantage of Undetectable.
Yes you could hear spirit's footsteps but you had to be right next to her and you couldn't see her
Survivors could just hear where your coming from because demo is so loud but if you place the portal far away undetectable becomes useless (it already is but still) This is why deer lung being base and removing the map wide sound be a thing. Believe me nothings worse than thinking you can get the drop on a survivor with the portal only to find out they ran cross map already because they get to much reaction time.

The map wide portal sound is fair.
Survivors need to have that brief moment where it’s on them to be attentive during the few seconds Demo is Undetectable.
Remember old prayer beads?
We don’t want another uproar with Demo like there was with Spirit.
You really comparing this to old PB even tho Demo is very easy to see or the fact that his footsteps are directional and can be heard from 16 meters
And are we gonna ignore the fact that killers like Gf, Myres, and Pig can have stealth for longer without survivors knowing but oh no we can't let demo have 2 seconds of undetectable without letting survivors know. That's just as stupid as saying "Trail of torment needs to show the gen aura so survivors know whats going on"

Give them benefit of doubt.
The perks you mentioned probably present challenges with balancing.
And if they can’t balance their original concept, then what do they change them to instead?
Using Cruel Limits as an example, although it’s in a rough spot at the moment, we’re talking about a perk that temporarily takes away 1 of only 2 essential survivor chase tools: vaults. How do they change/buff the perk without making it too unfair or oppressive for survivors? As its stands there are niche circumstances where running both Tinkerer & Cruel Limits on Haddonfield that leaves survivors 100% trapped. The killer can be comping upstairs and survivors have NOWHERE to go. And that’s not going to feel very fair to many survivors.
They could just make Cruel limits block vaults around the killer so your chasing someone a gen goes off and boom they can't vault in the area your in

You really think survivors need buffs?

That would be cool!
If anyone would actually play demogorgon these days ;_;
Please guys in the last 2 weeks I have only faced demo twice and one of them was a camper, why are you all so reluctant to play him?
Im a demo main I like him but man I can't play him for long periods of time because his power Is soooo boring. The portals are just bad unless you bring addons to make them good. His shred is ok but it very simple and you basically use it the same way every game.
If I were to change demo I would
Rat liver base
Deer lung base
Remove the map wide portal sound
-
Honestly if they really wanted the norm to be 2 kills and 2 escapes the rank system would be based on kills with 2 kills being safe pip
-
Maybe it could turn into a dog or something
-
No prestige shouldn't give a gameplay advantage
-
Im just happy we got one this year cough year 3 cough
-
So what someone called you a name over the internet the best thing to do is report and move on. People like that get off by people's reaction to what they say so if you don't react they don't anything from it
-
Cause survivors could just get themselves killed
-
Coach from l4d2
-
There is much they could do to help the grind
Another tome level, dailies giving fragments, reducing exp to get fragments, etc
-
"If this aura weren’t present, the survivors wouldn’t know that anything was happening. They want to give survivors an indicator that the perk is active. The aura reveal can also be used to the killer’s advantage, as survivors may become needlessly cautious, or put themselves in positions they otherwise wouldn’t and be caught off guard while focusing on the generator."
This is so stupid why give this one perk an indicator but dark devotion, insidious, and stealth killers don't? And the whole part where they say the gen aura can help the killer is ridiculous as well

@ShadowRain said:
Agreed, I hope they don’t force them everywhere. Killer shack should stay as is. @Peanits they won’t be overdone will they?
It's def gonna be overdone

Honestly yeah that would be cool to have something other than hold m1 for x amount of seconds. I think a Pipe puzzle would work good
Example of a pipe puzzle:

Okay and? So the only hooking mechanic and perk is DS? Lmao. Should probably learn a bit more about DBD. 🤔
"Why would they EVER make a killer that bypasses all hooking mechanics and perks"
You put an s at the end of perk meaning your talking about multiple perks but now all of a sudden DS isn't one of those multiple hook perks your talking about?
Please tell me which multiple hook perks you were talking about

My post was not me complaining about not being able to us DS lol. Maybe read it again.
Ok I read it again and legit the first line of the post is
"Why would they EVER make a killer that bypasses all hooking mechanics and perks"

I don't use decisive.
If you don't use Ds then why are you complaining you can't use it
-
Put the pride crows on here too
-
There is only 3 ways upstairs when it should have like 5-6 ways to get up and BHVR still thinks making god loops is okay if they put a breakable wall next to it

When I look at the average number of kills for Legion, it's right in the middle. They're not the best, they're not the worst. This is across all maps, all ranks. That's as much detail as I can go into on this.
So when you guys release official stats on killers you always emphasize that we shouldn't base arguments around it because there is a lot of variables that go into it, but it's Ok for you guys to balance killers around those stats?

shoutout to the people who said "its just the PTB they still have time to buff them"
lol
Oh but they did ToT is 16 seconds now really great buff

https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Alex%27s_Toolbox
Alex's Toolbox was named after Alex Lin, a Product Manager at BHVR, who is also the likeness of Jake Park and the voice actor of The Doctor
- In internal plays, Lin often used the Toolbox as his go-to Item, making the name an Easter Egg.
I don't know If they would be willing to put his name in something again rather than just making a new character or just have no name. If they make a new character it shows the entities realm is bigger than we get to see but if you put no name it makes it more mysterious "Did the entity make these or was someone hiding them?"
Plus If it was just called Secret stash people could abbreviate it as SS but with Alex in front of it the abbreviation is A$$
-
Just because you can't personally counter it doesn't mean it can't be counter for example to avoid doctors shock go into a locker

I feel you severly underestimate hindered
Someone told me it aplies a 15% slowdown. That means that as a 115% killer you catch up twice as fast.
That for 60s would be bonkers.
Sorry I thought hindered was always a -5% to speed

I think Gearhead actually got NERFED between PTB and live didn't it? They could actually make ToT worse
"Trail of torment will now only activate if the killer has grabbed a survivor using the perk blood echo 5 times"

Theres still the chance the perk will change before it hits live.
Bhvr fixing a bad perk?

Gee I'm so glad we needed a fourth thread on this topic.
I like this decision provided they do it correctly. Being able to imagine a character as gay (David may have had a female ex but he will always be a gay icon in my heart) and having a character canonically confirmed as LGBTQ+ is completely different. One is based on your own personal opinions and experiences, one is definitive canon.
Provided new characters are created, and they don't suddenly change people's backstories (or, if they subtly reference it like "Ace's boyfriend always told him to stop gambling" instead of "Ace was gay- he knew that" and their lore is nothing but "gay gay gay") then I have absolutely no issue with it. If they do it wrong, well- no different to a lot of other companies (hey Marvel how you doing?).
Im just sayin it would be more inclusive if they let players chose and to be honest it seems rather forced.
It would have been better if they did pride charms I know a lot of people want something like that or maybe LGBTQ pride cosmetics

No dont want to support a pedo

DS in its current state is fine.
Nice joke

Changes I would make are
- deer lung and rat liver base
- Remove his map wide noises
- Rework his addons
-
It should be removed. Nothing's worse then teleporting to a survivor thinking you can catch them off guard only to find they are half way across map because of the alert not to mention it completely ruins undetectable. Or at least make it after he comes out of a portal
-
bait

@immortalls96 said:
The real issue is killers like freddy are where killers need to be..demo has a good foundation but too many holes in each of his powers
Yes Exactly His portals are meant to be time savers but they are sluggish, feel horrible to use and are very situational really needing addons. His shred is basic and you need to run an addon for it to be good

That's not going to stop some killers from identifying players.
Ok and there's a problem with killers knowing the names of people?

If that were in anyway true, survivors wouldn’t spend any time to search out a hex
Well if you actual read what I said you would see I said "a majority" not all
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Hexes come with risks. Can killers please just accept this?!
Cant handle the risks? Use less powerful perks.
Ruin - use pop or corrupt
Lullaby - use Overcharge or UP
Devour Hope or NOED or HG - use MYC or Rancor
TTS - use Knockout or blindness add ons.
The problem is a majority of Hexes don't give a good enough effect to warrant the risks
-
Cry of fear
Hotline Miami
Evil within
-
Clown
Pig
Legion
and Bubba
These are the killers that probably need the most buffs
For clown give him multiple bottle types
For Bubba increase his speed when revving the chainsaw to like 101%
For Legion rework deep wound and decrease his cooldown
For Pig change how jigsaw box auras work

This is ridiculous why should we nerf something just because you find it boring
Many people find clown boring to play against so does that mean we nerf him?
