Chill Winston, this has been known for months.
Anybody who's good with Nurse will agree that her extra blinks and range addons are broken af.
-
Killers: lol we only want BP, we don't even care about the auras
Also killers: If I don't see any auras, I'm not leaving the hook
-
Devour Hope pls
-
Okay so no event, but can we at least get a double BP weekend?
-
Cuz they stoopid
-
Deliverance, especially if they wait for you to run half way across the map to save them and then kobe in your face.
I let those people die.
-
It would be more useful if it allowed you to open the hatch without a key when you are the last survivor and the EGC has begun.
If the devs aren't going to do anything about the gates spawning so close together, this would give survivors another option.
Idk if opening the hatch should be instant or require the same time as opening a gate.
-
They should make cell-only cosmetics timed exclusives rather than permanent (not including licensed cosmetics).
So older cell-only cosmetics could be bought with shards after eg. 6 months.
-
Bunny.
Feng.
When.
-
All wallhack perks, especially OoO.
-
Can't, survivors will cry.
-
One of the most annoying things in the game. This would be a simple yet very effective fix.
Make it so.
-
Seems reasonable. I like it.
-
It wouldn't be so bad if the exit gates always spawned at opposite ends of the map, but most of the time they spawn so close that it is impossible to open them. Of course, since there is now a time limit, you have no choice but to try, thereby handing the killer a free kill if the doors are close.
It sucks to play well the whole game and then get punished for it.
-
They will probably make it so that the endgame timer is paused while Blood Warden is active.
Otherwise there would be scenarios in which survivors would have no choice but to die, which would be terrible game design.
-
Were there any other options that were discussed and rejected when deciding how to change Legion?
-
I'm just glad that she saw the funny side ๐
-
I would rather it was something like:
After succeeding the skillcheck, you are cloaked by the entity until another survivor is hooked. Your action speed is impacted by 50% while cloaked.
Then it would be a true anti-tunnel perk.
-
Pretty much anything that doesn't involve a free hit.
-
For the record, he plays the full game and then DCs at the end, so nobody loses pips or points as a result of the DC. It is not comparable with the deranking tactics of other lesser streamers.

It's her blink hits that are bugged, supposedly they are meant to give a token even though they aren't basic attacks but I guess their idea of basic attack is any M1.
Which by logic means that any attack out of a power will give a token like Spirit's Grudge or wraith's surprise attack. That makes it so that only killers with an M2 attack have a way around the perk, which is completely busted.
Seriously, What went trough their heads when they thought up a perk like this.....
Dollar signs.

Sadly the disease has already spread. I had a game with 3x Dwight and one Jane, everyone had it.
I don't know if I can endure the levels of chemo that this perk will require.
-
It depends on the situation.
5 gens left? I'll leave the hook and go in search of fresh meat.
3 gens left? I'll patrol but I'll commit to the first chase I get.
1 gen left? Sure, I'll go after the unhooker, I hope I don't regret this...
Gates open? #########, get yo ass back on that hook.
-
I'm hanging in there at rank 3. I was rank 2 when I started this evening, but depipped 6 times in a row due to DCs (both survivor and killer) and trash teammates that manage to convert safe unhooks into insta-depips by beelining to the killer half a map away.
Red ranks aren't empty because it's too hard to pip, but because it is too easy to depip. Whenever I see the names of old red rankers that I recognise, the relief washes over me in an awesome wave.
-
I see a lot of DCs from SWF groups where one person crashed during the loading screen so the rest just DC so they can make a new lobby.

Ideally your rank is not your reward, but rather to gauge your level of skill and match you with other people of your skill level. You should eventually hit the rank that you're comfortable in and then have a hard time ranking up past that. With that said, the emblem system is still being tweaked and adjusted and any odd edge cases should hopefully be ironed out.
But in order to pip, you have to complete a bunch of actions that have nothing to do with skill.
The emblem system is not nearly complex enough to determine whether or not a player is skilled, so the idea that people will settle into their "true ranks" is fallacious.
Red ranks will be purely for the people who consistently farm the most emblem points, usually at the expense of their teammates because there isn't enough to go around.
It was fine the way it was.
-
Not OP, just horribly unfair and annoying (especially when paired with other meta crutches like Adrenaline).
-
A lot of those things are being changed soon anyway, such as extra blinks, iridescent head (rip), Legion's mechanics, maybe insta-saw as well.
Infinite Evil really isn't a problem.
-
I just started mori-ing every Ash that I see. Highly recommended, it significantly reduces your chances of encountering this stupid perk.
-
Make it activate the first time the survivor is hit. They are then broken for the rest of the game and can be moried without hooking.

No, it wasn't a bug it was specificly introduced with the doctor cube and was in the patch note
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Doctor_Cube
Patch 1.6.2
FEATURES & CONTENT
- Added the Charity Case DLC
BALANCE
- "Snap Out Of It" is now classified as a form of healing. This means it is affected by perks such as "Botany Knowledge" or "A Nurse's Calling," status effects such as "Mangled", and other effects concerned with healing.
Oh look, an informative post that doesn't resort to namecalling. Thanks for the info, I was wrong in this case. I don't know where I heard that it was a bug, then.
Regardless, the only reason they made snapping out a form of healing was to buff a weak killer. It made no sense and it is good that they reverted this change.
Mending still isn't a form of healing.
-
Another free escape for survivors which will be used to bully killers.
If it becomes meta, I won't bother playing killer any more.
-
Already lost out on three kills due to it. File it under mega-crutch along with Adrenaline. I have no respect for any that uses it.

Oh we can't?
I guess the devs didn't get that memo when they made Coulrophobia SPECIFICALLY not affect Snap Out of It when it was still considered a healing action. And then went on to call Mending, which CLEARLY is one, not a healing action.
Snapping Out being considered a healing action was a bug.
Mending is not a healing action.

Then can we make it so Nurse and Legion stuns are affected?
Those are fatigue states caused by the killers exhausting their powers, whereas stuns are caused by survivor actions.
So, no.
-
Basically, yes. A large part of the reason that it feels annoying to play against is that you are exposed but are not notified of this fact until you get hit.
I can understand why they did it this way, though.
Personally, I think they should make dull totems count for the Lightbringer emblem. Give survivors a reason to cleanse them rather than punishing them for not doing so. Make them a real objective rather than a chore.
-
Having DS not be affected by Enduring would make no sense. You can't just make random exceptions to what the perk affects.
This is by far the better change, and will only affect trash killers that tunnel. Maybe they will learn to play less scummy now (not likely).

Is it not a bug?
I had a game where the killer dc'd and on the end screen I depiped but back on the menu my rank was the same!
From what I've seen, you don't depip if the killer DCs at the very start of the game. However, if they DC part of the way through the game and you didn't earn enough progress towards your emblems, you will depip.
I think it is because the black pip thresholds were changed, but the system that handles killer DCs still thinks the threshold is where it used to be. Maybe, idk.

Look at their Twitter. The ranking system is being reverted. Until then, I'm DC any game I don't like ๐.
They said they are reverting the matchmaking algorithm, not the ranking system.

Any action taken is between the player and BHVR, we do not inform the person who made the reports.
Communication Abuse is on a soft ban system so the first is a 24 hour ban - all these are progressive until a permanent ban is in order. It's only when a permanent ban is issued that these are shown on a players profile so whilst you might not see action being taken, I can assure you that it is.
Thank you for clarifying :)
It is good to know that these reports do not fall on deaf ears.
-
Is this guy really arguing that racist language is perfectly acceptable? xD
-
Yeah, the other ones could be something like:
Huntress Lullaby
Once the totem is cleansed, the perk remains active with however many tokens it had before the cleansing (up to a maximum of 3). Therefore, there is a real imperative for the survivors to cleanse the totem early, before the killer can get 3+ stacks. So if the killer has 2 stacks when it is cleansed, it stays at 2. If he has 4 or 5 stacks, it reverts back to 3 for the remainder of the game. I don't think 3 would be OP.
Devour Hope
Once the totem is cleansed, stacks are reverted back to 2. So, you retain the small haste effect after hooking someone. Anything else would be pretty OP tbh.
Third Seal
I dunno lol
Haunted Ground would be exempt since it is not a normal hex perk.
-
A survivor perk where you can get stacks by cleansing dull totems would be really nice. It would turn dull totems into a legit alternative objective.
Distortion would be nice like this. I wouldn't even go near a gen until I'd collected all those pieces of candy.
As for Hex perks, I think that they should retain some power once the totem is cleansed, so that it doesn't completely wipe out one of the killer's perks.
For example: Ruin
Totem active: works as normal (5% regression and a short stun to progression on good skill checks, no progression on great skill checks)
Totem cleansed: no regression on good skill checks but the stun remains, great skill checks work as normal (5% progression bonus)
-
Allowing me to farm and escape when the whole team DCs is probably the classic story, but tbh just generally playing fair is the thing that I appreciate more than anything.
You get unhooked when the killer is near and even though they clearly see you, they go after the unhooker instead.
God bless those killers (a rare breed).
-
Good Lord, that was fast.
That's good to hear, then :)
-
Free key from Alienware Arena. I was only going to farm it for steam trading cards, but now I have 3000 hours and bought all the DLC.
10/10 giveaway
-
Adrenaline + MoM will be super fun to play against.
Hit them, chase them down, hit them again, MoM activates, chase them down again, Adrenline activates, hit them again, chase them down again, watch them run out of the exit gate.
Fun.
-
A better change would be to give a 5 second cooldown on the audible notification, but no cooldown on the visual one.
So you could still track the survivor's movement without the constant noises.
-
lool, just happened again.
That makes three depips today just due to this one issue. I guess I'm rank 6 now xD

You don't depip though, it only looks like it on the tally screen, but when you go back to the lobby the pip is back. Now if all 4 survivors DC, a killer might not even safety pip if they all DC fast enough with the new system.
I've had multiple games where I have depipped because the killer disconnected.
It's not just on the end screen. I think this has only been happening since the patch last week so hopefully it will be fixed.
