As killer, you probably have no idea what the other survivors do when you are chasing someone. As a survivor, you have 1.000 reasons to do not keep a sportmanlike behaviour when no rushgen is done after the 2nd.minute in game. I mean: spending 2 minutes touching mutually themselves, hiding in the locker, searching chests, Roleplay in the bushes, farming each others…
A common match can be over after 6 minutes… -
Funny how a killer can complain whatever the reasons: when he faces a SWF, he's not happy to fight with unfair weapons against a 'synchronized team' but when the game is too easy, the killer is still complaining about the survivor's mistakes or behaviours.
Finally I'm agree with you, if you aren't rewarded enough to play (I mean, if you don't have what you are looking for), why are you still playing ? -
At a certain level, it is common to be insulted by players which were not even in your game…
-
And do you really think to play with this filter on ReShade can help to loop ?
-
Nice shots.

To make a new map requires a lot of work & time. When you see the last reworked maps & their actual/last design, you can easily understand the difficulties it requires to make some new ones. Devs are already strangling to balance the old ones…
-
Just as a reminder: Haddonfield - Lampkin Lane is a map as big as The Game - Gideon Meat Plant. there is 20 and more pallets on The Game and less than half on Lampkin Lane.
And more, you still have some dead/trash pallet on houses of Haddonfield now, like these ones:A feast for your BloodLust, 100% confirmed hit.
… an extra one absolutely unreachable during a chase:Map designers have definitively no idea how works a loop or a 'mindgame', they have proved it again…
-
Well, there is already a purple fancy clown in DbD, a big pink rabbit & a nasty bear. Why you really need to add some animatronics in this game ? Jumpscares don't suit very well on DbD (I mean, at least after the first time you was afraid by…) in the time.
In the 'Poppy wants to play' game, you also have some fearful giant flashy horrors but I just hope they will never be added as killers into DbD… -
When they are blessing boons, they don't repair gens. If someone is blessing boon at the start of the game, you have to tunnel him/her out because he' and his perk will be sweaty. If the SWF playing with boon exponential on RPD (a random example in my mind), to slug them all out is certainly the best but it is sweaty because you have to locate the boons when you down the survivors…
Personnally I hate all these booners too. We can't even know if they have these stupid perks on their build in the lobby… I have the devs for that as I hate the Mikaela perks so far. But whatever, DbD things I guess… -
Shame for you.
-
FNAF is just a static game for kids appreciating the jump-scares. DbD isn't the Backdoors.
-
Devs are overwhelmed and they can't fight cheaters. They have opened the door to them since the cross-platform, so I don't know how you can legitimally appreciate their work…
-
Better to say nothing when the match was bad, a 'gg' sounds ironic & even provocative when no gen are done, 2 people DCed & the 2 first kill themselves on the hook. Everyone agrees on that.
As a survivor I can understand when someone wants to leave the match for some reasons and I feel dumb to try to farm him if he is killing himself…
A first round is the best for everyone. The chat post game is useless. -
I fell his cooldown a bit to short between two chainsaw uses and his overdrive can't be slow down (even with his add-ons, or just a bit). Almost all his turns are failed and it puts him often out of control (it requires too much practice to control it perfectly).
Add to that, no more Space Billy… So few Billys still have his legendary Billy's Ego anymore. A lot of them just use these disgusting yellow boots to increase his turn rate… and many still use only his M1 because they are obviously lazy like all the common M1 killers…
I think Billy was fun to play against… But as BVHR has no idea how to play him, you have this kind of Billy today… Sad. -
RPD, Hawkins, Ormond, McMillan's, Haddonfield. But no rubberbanding for me on Coldwind Farms as far as I know… I'm playing from France…
About the rubberbanding on Ormond, I was killed by that today…@n000b51 said:
Same issue on Ormond Resort.

Same thing on Macmillan's:
When I'm playing as killer, the rubberbanding survs are very easy to notice: the have the most weird paths of the world and they have often huge rollbacks. I can't chase them anymore bc it is so annoying…

If this 'Reuse' with the pallets is very strong, it's just sad we don't have a bit more breakable walls because this perk with a breakable wall should be fine.
-
Many Hex perks are weak, this one should be weakier.
Basically, with this perk, you can down someone from high level (1hit from the killer above and 1 hit at landing) ?
And should this effect apply to stun the killer fallling from a high ground as well ?
Weird idea and very situational because this hex doesn't work on every maps… as many (many) killers are still complaining from the hex spawns at the start of the game and with this low help to the killer… I'm very doubtful about his utility… -
Is it this kind of 'unbreakable pallet' ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLbqMbfVRUE
If yes, it is still funny when the 'well-known & already fixed bugs' happens again & again, patch after patch.
I'm convinced they (devs) often take some old blueprints & assets, put it in somewhere without to check it works as expected… -
And if the hooked survivor raise arms quickly, it should mean 2 different things:
- 'don't come for the safe unhook now, I'm camped !'
OR (and it is very sensitive):
- 'please, someone, come to unhook me, hurry up ! the killer is busy far away !'
So, it is sometimes complicate to perfectly know when you have or you shouldn't try to unhook…
-
"how about we teach them to actually look out for them in chase and stun the killer?"
With the recent changes about the behaviour of bots, this should be very easy to do I guess… -
Very detailed reply. Thanks.
I didn't know what means Anon. Now I know. -
"My biggest problem with looping it requires no skill."
Doesn't DbD require skill from both sides ?
No idea what "skill" means for you… -
What it could be boring ?
- Face off the same killer's strats for the win (tunnel, camp,...)
- Play with the same 'toxic' b*llsh*t*ers in the end chat game (bc you didn't played as they've expected you will play) even if report them is useless (since 2016 btw)
- To have no fun chases, no interesting gameplay 19 out of 20 trials...
- To notice the same behaviour from survivors as from killers as well. Nobody seems to be genuine...
- All the B.S. hits & collisions not fixed after all these patches
- To found again these 'unfixed' collisions bugs & more recently these connection issues whereas the dedicated servers
- To discover some changes not mentioned in the patchnotes (skillchecks for example)
- No need to mention, this game seems unbalanced for different reasons that you can found in the forums
- Stats used to make some adjustements are often so far away from the reality, you can feel tired to see everyone is playing like cloned bots free out from a factory...
I could continue the list but it is boring because you could find many boring things ingame but you can still close your eyes, to lie to yourself pretending the game is always fun whereas it is a game & you play it again all the days.

"In this video example, you can clearly see the Dead Hard animation start, but the Endurance status effect appears delayed"
As far I know, I've heard it was a delay of 100ms that it should explain the reason of your failed Dead Hard. In your clip, we can count 3 or 4 frames since the start of the action but the M1 of the killer reaches Rebecca and put her on the ground.
But yeah latency can reduce the perfect timing for the DH. But usually the Endurance proc. more easy at the end of the anim as at the start...

@KayTwoAyy : Anonymous Dwight for 1 reason here, please take care to avoid these anonymous players in the next. You can't -rep on their profiles so... their gameplays can be highly suspicious...

Genuine idea from a called player 'Basement_Bubba420' rofl
"This is just unfun gameplay."
The funny part can be different for others... Where is your funny part in this game ?
"Instead, a stamina bar should be added so survivors can only sprint for a limited time (like 30 seconds) before having to slowly regain their stamina."
Exhaustion already exists (it's like the need to breathe after a run). Play some Rogue-like/Souls-like if you can't bear the Shift+W or if the lack of stamina feels too unrealistic for you...
"BHVR can counteract this by making the sprint faster and introducing more places to hide and changing the lightning on the maps."
They already have so many things to do/to fix before adding some new mechanics, particularily when these new stuffs will change so many others in game.
"At least then this will be a horror game."
Who said DbD is a horror game and why should it be a horror game ? Animations with some blood, proximity of a killer ?
This game is more a Hit & Run than a horror game...

The Project W patch introduced symbols that you can see in game for either ping, packet loss, or killer ping. The killer's ping will show above the survivor list in game when it's above 200 ms as a knife with a red bar. If it's a red bar without a knife or a double diamond symbol then it's your own ping. If your survivor teammates are having trouble with ping a red bar will display next to their name in the HUD in-game.
So it happens often for me too: surprising, but I have best chases with none of all these symbols. They never appeared previously (I mean before this 'Project W patch). I usually had 40-50ms during the game & below the 80ms in the lobby. I just have a peak at the start of all trials, also my ping reaches from 120ms to 150ms sometimes.
I have set my graphic settings on 'Low' hoping that could reduce my rollbacks but... sometimes I still go back during a chase... especially when I'm facing off VPN/Console players...
-
@HoodedWildKard : "Mm shack is unfair since a gen can spawn there". Yea, you are right, indeed, I've forgotten this point...
-
200ms ? ok, thanks then.

"Remove the cooldown on the perk. Just let it show the auras of anybody in the basement all the time."
I would suggest instead: "Don't remove the cooldown on the perk but let it show the auras of ANYBODY in the SHACK + basement (if the map has a shack)".
-
@jbear : "I would interpret the patch note to suggest that this is a bug that is not actually fixed."
A common thing from BVHR that it shows they never verify enough their fixes before to publish their patchnotes...
-
'Dead Hard' was initially designed to work perfectly with 'No Mither' (another 'useless' D.King's perk). You can feel this perk (DH) stupid or bad designed but it was a famous perk well-known for every survivors. Bugged since the 'exhaustion on the ground' thing, until the dedicated servers. Even with that, this perk was used & abused (no exhaustion effect previously if I recall it correctly, just to have to mend after the use).
With the last remake, this perk is again & will ever be an useful & 'easy' perk to use even if this use can be a problem to work as expected. The survivors has adapted his use to be efficient against the killers, and killers has adapted their gameplay to counter it the most efficiently as possible or 'without effort' & just a bit of patience...
Nothing new in the topic about the DH. You like it or you don't...
-
Don't you like to meet some Hobgobelins ?
More seriously, the facial expression are wrong because these 3D-models are bad designed during motion: they are made of rubber & they are apparently deformable.
It isn't the 1st.time in the DbD's history that the 3D-designers failed with the models. Nancy's facial expression, David King's modelization and initially the Kate Denson's haircut was bugged and faked... But I don't know how much of you has known all of these BVHR's fails...
-
Is a head's Hag skin ? Anyway, Jill had always these bad 3D- facial modelizations. I'm not surprised to see this is appearing in game again.
Thanks God, I never buy any for these licensed characters yet. It already takes years to have some decent haircuts for women during the runs (cf.: Kate Denson for example)...

Really? This happened to me today so I'm surprised it's supposed to be a fixed problem. I guess it's not completely fixed lol
Hrm well, not a 'fixed' problem but I said an 'already fixed' problem... the difference is the 'already fixed' problem need a patch to fix the patch of the patch to work as expected. BVHR has a huge experience in 'recurrent & repeating' problems that it needs more than 1 single fix to be patched. And even with that, you can't be 100% sure this problem will not come again after some patches :p
-
OoO is a very bad perk in the actual state (cooldown, time to reveal the killer's aura,...). It worked so well previously (revealing constantly the position of the Killer, no cooldown to use it) that it was a nightmare to every M1 killers. Every match with a OoO's user, the killer was tunneling him to the death.
Actually, this perk is as useful as the actual Spine Chill or Premonition... As @Bot_Salvo88 said Alert or even Dark Sense looks better to reveal the Killer's aura...
So if you use of OoO causes for conflict or is interfering with some other auras perks, it is worst of it.
And does this OoO reveal you the Killer aura if you are using 'Sole Survivor' (Laurie Strode's perk) plus Distortion close to a hook ? I'm will not surprised if anything work as expected here... These perks was updated/reworked so much times...

@Freddy96 : "115% blight with hug tech exploit shouldn't be a thing, so they should either fix the bug or make him 110%"
Could you see a difference between a 115% & a 110% ? How the 'hug tech' can be an exploit ?
A Hillbilly can slide in some specific locations as a Blight can do as well. I thing BVHR should better work on the collisions of their tiles & static meshes/3D models... I can fix many things but it is a very tougher affair...
-
@HoodedWildKard : "Idk why we can't get vc for survivors, swf teams certainly don't need any buffs but solo queues are 4 people running blind getting picked off by the killer."
Because it means more job about improvement of the game for BVHR. Developping skins pays much more.
BVHR will probably never try to balance 'SWF thing' bc it is too hard to do it fairly. Introducing a vc system will need so much ingame adjustements and complains about this new com.system will be limitless...
-
I think it is an 'already fixed' problem but it is a good thing that you reported it again.
-
Stopped to try some specific challenges since 2018-2019. I just select one easy & random challenge to get some BP but I never focus on it during my trials bc it is often pointless. I waste too much time and the reward mainly costs you your life. I earn much more playing as a random P.U. without challenge so...

I've also noticed a lot of network issues with the latest update. I'm assuming all the symbols are new cause I've never seen them before and tbh I have no idea what they mean. Also some chases against survivors have been really difficult cause of how they teleport around even if I have a solid connection. Also I'm getting random disconnects, failures to update the bloodweb, etc.
Tbh I think the steam servers might be part of the issue but idk why there's problems suddenly.
the two inclined squares probably mean some packet losses.
The vertical bars + killer icon means the killer (or the 'dedicated server') is actually lagging. The colour & the number or filled bars should indicate how much the lag is.
If you can see red bar near the survivor's names in the lobby, you have anymore number of latency when you hover it.But the colour gives an idea: yellow -> 70ms & <= 110ms red means over 110ms I guess...
-
Can you show us a record or explain a bit more about your troubles please ? Because I see many ways for a survivor to disappear from the killer's point of view (Perks, Boons, moves,...). Add that a bad connection could produce some weird stuffs too...
Have you checked all these points in the scoreboard at the end of the trial before to beg BVHR to do things they will probably never do ?

I don't know how anyone forgets the reason why
EVERY Billy player before the Overheat mechanic would run circles around the map until they found someone, then down them while turning on a dime, then run circles around the map on repeat until everyone was dead.
Fail? Camp a hook.
You didn't have to try, eventually you'd hear a gen or find a survivor.
The mechanic currently does nothing if you arent doing one of the above, its nearly impossible to overheat and people just love to whine
I don't think this 'behaviour' is a good reason to remake the Hillbilly. You still can make 10 cercles around the map without being worried by the overheat. Just do not bump & do not cancel your rush. You still have 2 add-ons to increase the control of your turns & and yellow add-ons to cool more fast your overheat out of sprint.
I'm still playing Billy and make the best sprint as possible, patrolling around the gens until I found some tracks.
And a Bubba can camp more easily a hook his chainsaw in air than a Hillbilly... Has Bubba an overheat system ? I didn't played Bubba for a while so I don't know...

Speaking in the chat is toxic, so everything is censored. Don't try to understand the logic, random words are replaced by some "###" whatever you write.

Where are these god pallets you talk about?
Near the main building with the killer's basement, you have another small white building with 3 stairs below. In the main entrance & depending of the RNG, you can have sometimes a god pallet. Same thing in the basement of this house, behind one of the stairs, you can have another god pallet... if you are a 'Windows of Opportunity' (or 'Zenchin Tactics') user, you can't miss them.

As a penalty collector for my own achievement, when I DCed, I confess, I'm regardless about penalties. I just do it & I manage the waiting time as penalty. I really don't think 1 second about other survivor, or even the killer's game.
I already have reached the 72h of penalty for that, some years ago. I'm playing R6 until the end of this 'inevitable consequence'.
So 'Main survivor' ? Maybe just another baby but I don't cry on forums to reduce the penalties time yet...
