    Hahahahaha

    You homophobe 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😠😠😠

Mine was a joke meant to add some levity to the discussion but I don't want to add a smiley emoji and say "LOL" to your response because I can't tell if you mean it.

It really was just a joke, I really hope you're not offended. If you are I sincerely apologize for saying that.

That's the problem, there is not a way. I don't support when they say they are going ban people who tunnel survivors with this charm because there is no way to know if its because of the charm.

I'm worried about this myself. There are so many players who tunnel as it is, people wearing the charm may misinterpret their actions. Then there are people who will deliberately tunnel players wearing the charm and get away with it by claiming ignorance (and the charm IS relatively small).

This will be an interesting time for the game.

    It can't. Not entirely.

However most homophobes I know cannot keep their mouths shut. They'll slip up eventually. At which point you drop the ban hammer.

    Well put.

I think it's pandering and BHVR doesn't actually give one about LGBT people. It's just for PR. As a bi person, I couldn't give less of a damn about the charm and feel no more represented than before.

Speaking of being represented, who cares? No one is representing anyone. This game's cast of characters is about as interesting as Plague gameplay. Regardless of their race, background, color, gender, or orientation, Survivors are just skins with piss poor voice acting and no personalities to speak of in a horror game about brutally sacrificing innocent people to a giant spider demon. Representation is the LAST thing on my mind when it comes to Dead By Daylight.

It's pretty obvious to me that the charm is only there to make BHVR look good. They couldn't care less about what orientation their players are as long as said players heap them with praise and money.

As a bisexual player, do you feel that it would have been better not having the charm at all? Do you think that a different gesture would have been better?

Your social bubble is diferent from mine, you cleary say that because you din't notice people saying "cringe" on the anniversary livestream or tweets people saying they are going to tunnel people who use this charm.

I even get youtube coments calling me bad things and saying they are for sure tunneling people using this charm. You seen to ignore the amout of hate and homophobia this is going to bring to the game. Kinfa off topic but whatever

I've seen reference to people saying that they'd tunnel and specifically go after people wearing the charm as well. How do you think this can be countered?

  • @kaeru said:

When I read comments below pride charm code yesterday, I've only seen enthusiasm, supportive commentary and irony about getting tunneled. Probably hate speech getting moderated quickly, or we were reading different twitters.

There's a twitter that ISN'T the scourge of existence? :P

  • I don't mean to get into your religion because theological discussions are discouraged on this forum and it's your own personal business anyway, so I'll only ask (and I feel that people are welcome to have different viewpoints so please don't take this as an attack any more than I want the others to feel attacked): Is it strictly your Christian faith that makes the charm offensive to you, or would you prefer that there be no such iconography in the game at all? For example, if there were a crucifix charm, would you be okay with that?

Again, I mean no offense. The debate over this charm, and homosexual elements being in this game, is something that merely continues to intrigue me. I'd like to hear from both "sides".

If I found any charm offensive I would definitely complain. But do you understand that it is different for me to be offended because they added a political, prejudiced or religious symbol? are things that can really be unnecessary and offensive to the player.

But going deeper, we realize that the real reason for this discomfort, originates from what in your opinion?

They may even argue that it is political, that it is unnecessary to discuss such matters in video games, or that it is "" "offensive" "" in any way. But it is clear that the real reason is because of the discomfort of having representation and support for something they do not support.

it's simple and obvious, why don't you like a gay charm? because you don't like gays.

That is the most probable reason, yes. That or the person objecting is against homosexuality itself, OR is simply not comfortable having anything controversial in the game (to which, playing devil's advocate again, I would remind them that one can play a child-molesting murderer in this game, but that's a whole other topic).

Many people who defend homosexuality here do it very aggressively. That's your prerogative. I prefer a conversational approach, like this one, but I've noticed that it's often greeted with hostility regardless. I'm not out to get anybody. I'm not here to say you're wrong. I've been accused of "trying too hard" by repeatedly pointing out that I myself support homosexuality, so I'm going to try steering away from that.

I'm not trying to antagonize you, or anyone here. I'm really not. I'm also not interesting in defining anything. Not homosexuality, not racism, not politics, because those details aren't specifically correlated to what I've been trying to discuss, which is wondering how it would be if things were flipped around. In short:

    1. Why the hostility toward the gay charm is hard to understand
    2. Whether the situation would be the same if something else that was upsetting to some but not to others would provoke a similar reaction

But you answered, you said that if something offended you you would be complaining as well. That's all I wanted to know. It's not a "right" or "wrong" answer, I just wanted you to understand that because not everyone approves of homosexuality, there will be those people who are upset by things like this charm, regardless of how small, minor, or inoffensive it may seem to you. Similarly, like yourself, myself, and most others, there are things that would offend US if the tables were turned and such things were added to the game.

My purpose in this discussion was to simply try to find some middle ground of understanding.

I should be asleep but hey.

There are a few examples of companies that already do this, the first one I can think of is ReSpawn, the devs behind Apex Legends. They have multiple different confirmed lgbt+ characters, including some people who are gay, lesbian, and I'm pretty sure Bloodhound is non-binary and goes by they/them. They have a zero tolerance policy for any form of racism, homophobia, transphobia etc, and have publicly said that if you are homophobic, racist, transphobic they don't want you playing their game. You are no welcome to enjoy their product if you are going to be openly bigoted and against diversity.

That's how I'd do it. Good representation and public statements. Show you care all the time. Spend time denouncing that behaviour, nor just in June. Talk about these problems not just in June. Donate to charities, if that's what you want to do, not just in June.

Thanks for the answer. Your response is a logical one.

We understand. We’ve heard it. But pro-choice/pro-life is a bag comparison. One is a political stance. Being queer or trans is inherent to a person’s identity from birth.

My point is not to make an apples to apples comparison regarding the definition of the subject, my point is to provide an example of another controversial topic. Whether homosexuality is political or an act of nature isn't relevant to the example. Something doesn't have to be one or the other to be wildly controversial.

It's not that hard to understand. Anytime you are going to introduce something that is considered controversial or offensive to a large group, you have to expect people will show up with strong opinions about it. Not that I am religious or find it offensive in the least bit, but a good part of the country has very strong beliefs against homosexuality due to their church's teachings and upbringing, and so it's understandable that they would not be happy seeing it brought in and celebrated in a video game they play. Again, I don't share these opinions. Neither does Justad00d. But everyone should have seen this coming.

This is what I'm trying to say.

A lot of people have no problem with the gay charm. I don't. I unlocked it immediately. I'm not gay. So why did I unlock it? Because I support gay rights.

But I also acknowledge that there are many who don't. They're offended by the symbol and I understand that. I can understand it, even if I don't personally agree with it. My comments and questions are merely to raise the point that was just made in this quote: By adding something controversial to a game, something that not everybody disagrees with, there will be controversy. I mentioned in an earlier thread that if the game suddenly introduced a pro-choice OR pro-life charm, it would be hell unleashed. The people who are flabbergasted by anyone's negative reaction to the inclusion of a gay charm don't seem to understand why people who AREN'T in favor of it are equally flabbergasted as to why it's in the game.

  • @BigFatChungus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2224245#Comment_2224245

being gay is literally a sexuality and it is not political, homosexuals have been persecuted for years and it is necessary to have a commotion, so that it does not repeat itself again. And in a way yes, it is not necessary that this is a topic discussed in a game(but it can also be good, to normalize homosexuality in videogames) but if that is the developers' desire to represent diversity and acceptance, so be it. If you see a lgbt charm and feel uncomfortable in any way, you are probably being prejudiced, even if indirectly. you may not even care but if you think this is a negative thing, you are the only one who is making such a simple thing into a whole political thing.

and responding to your comment. Imagine such a scenario.

you are a white person and you are playing a game where you only have white characters, and then, one day they add a black character. and you ask yourself "how can someone have a different skin color than mine?" we can start from there, why would you be bothered by differences in your game? what's the problem of having a black character too? none.

the same goes for sexuality, all games are made with heterosexual characters, and showing support and acceptance for a minority does not mean discussing politics. and answering the question of the symbols:

lgbtqia + is a community of people with different sexualities, what kind of problem would anyone have with it besides that it doesn't support homosexuality? it's not like it's some kind of political or religious symbol that could really bother someone, it's just a gay charm, LITERALLY a gay charm.

    Okay.

Having said all that, how would you feel if the game had a charm that offended you? Because, regardless of the fact that you feel that no one should be offended by the Pride charm, apparently many people are. Are you saying that nothing offends you?

I'm not trying to discuss whether you feel that the charm should be offensive, as I already agree with you on that subject. My question is, again, to play devil's advocate and put the shoe on the other foot. If something were added to a video game that YOU didn't like, which in some way and for some reason deeply offended you, would you not also complain? Would you accept the argument that "it's just a charm"? Would that be sufficient enough to make you feel okay about it and not condescended to? Would you no longer feel that your game had been hijacked?

You really don't have to apologize or explain yourself, as you did not do anything wrong or say anything that'd make anyone doubt your reasonable nature. The thread started in a rather negative light, questioning how there'd be potential bad reactions from the charm. This will naturally attract various perspectives and opinions. This wasn't a place to discuss 'hopes for the future of gay people in this game', it was a place to address a potential issue that may occur in the game and people gave their opinions.

I appreciate that, but that user and I did have words in a previous discussion on the more specific subject of a gay character being added to the game. I joined the thread with a more aggressive stance than I should have, and as a result all attempts to backpedal and explain myself were met with emotions ranging from suspicion to what felt almost like hatred at points. Some of it was deserved, some not. At one point someone called me a homophobe which, given my history regarding gay rights and the deep care that I have for some gay relatives and my mom's own best friend, was astonishing to hear. I felt that any argument that was not 100 percent pro-gay - anything that I, at least in my own knowing mind - tried to present as a harmless, middle-ground point of discussion, was taken out of context and turned against me to expose as some kind of covert hate-mongered. That's not fun, especially when it's not true. If I don't like something, I have no problem saying so.

So again, I do appreciate your support, but I did phrase some things rather poorly in the last serious discussion I've had on the matter, and judging from what I saw in the post I quoted there was still animosity there. I had, and continue to have, no interest in upsetting anybody. I just enjoy good discussions. I was hoping to make peace, that's all.

  • No. After getting pretty well into the game I decided to buy it on the Switch Lite as well. I was hoping for cross-progression (promised, but doesn't look to be happening anytime soon) and without it this meant that I had to start the game over completely from scratch. Buying all the DLC was much more bothersome that starting over from scratch.

Would I like it? No, but it also wouldn't matter that much. The game is a cycle, the whole point of playing isn't so much to amass things but to...well, keep playing. Everything from cosmetics to bloodpoints exists to provide incentive to keep playing. If anything I purchased was taken away I'd sure like my money back, but beyond that, nah, the concept of starting over wouldn't be a huge blow for me.

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

Isn’t it funny how any attempt we make to have a positive place to talk about LGBTQ+ rep in DBD, it always gets hijacked by people who claim to ‘not care’. Then the thread gets closed and we get no place to discuss our hopes for the future of gay people in the game. Really sad stuff.

I believe you may be referencing me because in the last major discussion about this topic the term "I don't care" was used as a major point of contention.

I don't know if this is a sore point but I'd like to clear it up regardless. In that thread, my use of terms like "I don't care about the sexuality of the characters in this game" was not meant to suggest that I had anything against the inclusion of homosexual relationships, merely that the relationships of the characters was not an important factor to me in defining their worth. They could be gay OR straight, it wouldn't have a bearing on which characters I chose or didn't choose.

You may not be interested in responding to this and if so that's okay, it's your prerogative of course. But I never came to this site to hurt or ostracize anybody and if anyone is still leery of me because they felt that I meant harm or spoke with ignorance, I'd like to start over and lessen any bitterness that may still exist.

  • Is it possible that you're seeing the residuals of the glitch and people still have some keys left to exhaust? I haven't seen a single key in a chest since the update and out of probably 30 level gains I've only seen one or two in the bloodweb, one of them a broken one.

I think that's a very interesting hypothetical example

    Thank you.

Speaking only for myself, I'm fully in favor of the Pride charm as I am fully in favor of gay equality. But as I find myself pondering those who aren't, I try to put myself in their shoes. What if there was an icon that many found acceptable or even positive, but which I found offensive?

It just makes me wonder where the line is drawn. I don't know, just like the previous question you and I discussed, I guess I honestly just enjoy intellectual debates about tricky subjects. And this one in particular reminds me of the young days of my gaming career when Nintendo censored anything that had a cross in it, for fear of offending anybody.

  • To be honest I just unhook when I see a good opportunity, and hope for the same from my teammates. I actually don't pay much attention to who's on the hook or why.

Oh noooo, a rainbow charm is going to destroy your experience noooooooooo

Just to be clear, I agree with you. It's just a charm, and I've already unlocked mine.

But, playing devil's advocate as he did, what if there were a symbol of something YOU yourself didn't like, but which many others did, and they put that in the game? Would you not feel that the game was going beyond the realm of being "just a game" and starting to include iconography that you found worrisome? Or if it were a religious symbol that bothered someone else? Say a Muslim player being offended that the game included a menorah to celebrate passover?

Again, this charm doesn't upset me. But I find this debate interesting, I wonder where the lines of acceptability would be drawn.

I had figured, we've discussed this before and I'd simply like to defer my answer to someone like @GoodBoyKaru who may be able to give you a better answer, since they are in the community.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what I think, it matters what those in the LGBTQ community think.

And again, that's a wise and diplomatic answer.

You just got me to thinking: If a company WERE to do something to acknowledge the LGBQT community beyond gay pride month, what would they do that wouldn't come across as artificial to that community, or bothersome to the part of the audience that didn't like it?

To me it's just an interesting hypothetical, one that - as you observed - would probably be best explored by someone from that community.

That's a fair answer. Just know that I was legitimately curious, not trying to put you on the spot.

  • I DREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM of having a bot mode in this game, where I can choose whichever survivor I want and go up against any killer I want (or vice versa).

Hell, I wouldn't care if I got less points, no points, or even if the points I got were exclusively locked to that mode. I just want a bot mode. BAD. The AI they've already added to the PC tutorial is quite good. Not perfect, maybe a bit of tweaking, but much better than I was expecting (much better than the Friday the 13th game, for example). So please, PLEASE BHVR, please flesh it out. Please give us a bot mode. I'd just as soon play that as beg my stupid friends to get online and play with me.

I have an issue with it.

Companies only seem to care during or near June. Why should it be relegated to one month? Perhaps, it's my outside looking in view, but that seems ######### up to only care when there is a possibility of good PR.

In my humble opinion (as someone who isn't a part of the LGBTQ community), Pride shouldn't be relegated to a single month and companies should support it year round. Perhaps it's still too early to do that, to make Pride "normal." That's the end goal, right? To be accepted and treated the same as everyone else?

If I'm totally off-base, I apologize, but I do have an issue with companies using Pride Month as a PR move and ignoring issues the rest of the year.

For the sake of argument, if a company (any company) were to recognize it year-round, what would you consider to be a proper way of doing so?

Gay people are not regularly portrayed well at all. Gay people are stereotyped in main stream media as feminine, loud, weak, comedic relief, etc. Quite frankly, I don’t think straight people can determine what is and isn’t fair representation. Again, maybe you should reconsider your life choices if you made this account just to be an ######### on a pro LGBTQ+ thread.

I do think he's correct in that, as a straight man, I don't feel that anyone celebrates or pays any particular attention to me or my sexual preference, but otherwise I agree with all of your points.

  • *Throws up hands*

I've been using Bond since literally day one. It's my favorite perk. I'm not red rank and I don't troll. Please don't hate me.

That said, if I consider the chasing / looping game to be little more than glorified tag (which I do, I hate it), then I think it's fair to say that I prefer playing this game as hide and seek. That's my right, as it is yours, and anyone else's. I've also had my teammates ######### on me for that style of gameplay - they seem to assume that if they don't see you much during the match, you must just be hiding and not doing anything. To that I say nope, look at my points. Just because you didn't see me doesn't mean that I was hiding. It means that I wasn't dropping pallets on the killer and teabagging with you.

I prefer to play stealthy. Some people question that term so I also now say I like to play "immersively". I guess they mean the same thing - playing more carefully than boldly. It's a decision that should be up to the player and not punished. As long as the rules aren't being broken and the player IS participating, then there's nothing wrong. Bond is a perfect complement to my playstyle because it allows me to get an idea of what's going on and where. Yes, it could be used to hide and screw others over, but in my case it's also a great informational tool to help me play (yes, PLAY) a better game.

I'm just making this discussion because twitter is exploding with people who loved the charm and homophobics who didn't like it.

I fully support behavior by introducing this charm. They not only shows great support from the company, but also the way that they introduced this theme to the game. In a simple and responsible way and at no time did they seem to be trying to earn social points.

But I wanted to understand more from people who don't agree with this charm. what is the problem so profound with this being in the game?

    1. Some people are, quite simply, homophobic and see the charm as offensive.
    2. Some people may just not want the game to take a stance on any controversial issues at all.

That's about all I can come up with. I know that they're not the same thing but I could see similar controversy arising from a "pro-life" or "pro-choice" charm. Neither would fly without a lot of argument.

  • My first survivor was Dwight. I didn't know what I was doing and had read that he was a good choice, so I went with him. Ultimately I did wind up liking his perks a great deal.

My first unofficial opponent was The Wraith, who my friend chose as his character when he got me the game and showed me the ropes for about a half hour. We then went into a regular game and my first "official" opponent was the Deathslinger. I find that interesting given that I've only seen him probably four times since then (three months).

to hope ? I made this mistake too...

I hoped that when the dedicated server came everything would be better (surprise one of the worst things to do with dbd)

I hoped that when the hit validation came everything would be better, what happen right, whether it is enabled or not is the same, the killers with poor latency will still be rewarded

I hoped that when the New Matchmaking came everything would be better, to be continued

I hoped that 5347 bugs will be fixxed

Auto Ban Problems, unjust bans, mistakes and and and: at the loading (then the hoping comes again) "I hope it gets better" year after year ...

hope hope hope... better forget it, The hope is no longer there, these are no small bugs that are at stake here, this is about servers that are just really bad and a mecanic that worked very well in the test but that you simply do not want to leave in (i.e. the hit validation if it works really well), I mean because we're being fooled? you can tell if bhvr has changed something after a patch although you don't write it in the patch notes (example, the perk lucky break, from 45sec to 60, or the high grass on the swamp map and and and) these are obvious things, But not everyone notices things that are very difficult to identify, such as when the hit validation runs very well after patch 4.5.2, for example (for 1-2 days) and then something has been done again and the hits are different all of a sudden you notice that if you are a very good player, because most of them are not really good at jukening (I don't mean you can run straight ahead and throw pallets) but the really good jukening, then you will notice when something has been changed

Until they let me help with development of the game, hope's all I got. :)

Considering how good wraith is right now and this add on gives no negatives like scratched mirror Myers and Amanda’s letter piggy, I don’t think it should be this strong with zero drawbacks. You can’t even play immersed if you’re bad at looping when he can just walk around the map at Mach speed and easily find survivors trying to hide. You can use it at a survivor camping a pallet and you’ll be at a huge advantage since you can read their every move. Anyone else feel the same?

Already complained, already received loads of scorn from killer mains.

  • I asked the devs to please observe this forum (and the game) for a while and truly get an idea of how quick some people are to accuse other players of being toxic, how easily reporting and complaining can be abused. I feel that that's all I can really do. Hoping for the best.

  • No one should be morally obligated to support gay pride, but no one should be target for supporting it either. That's about as immature as it gets.

To each their own. Live and let live.

I have about 500 hours on this game and the one thing I've never understood is why it is not the main objective of survivors to escape? If you destroy a killer and escape, you lose a pip. If you run a killer all game and escape, you lose a pip. If you do gens while others run the killer and escape, you lose a pip. But, if you do unhooks, heal, gens, and die; you get a pip. There is literally no incentive to escape if you are trying to level up. The objective of the game is clearly to help others and escaping or not is irrelevant.

    Prove me wrong.

I've done several gens and escaped and gotten less points than teammates who played around with the killer all match and died.

  • No offense but an 18 minute match is hardly a "win by default" to me. Call me back when you get a match where the killer gets a 4K in less than five. :)

  • I initially preferred the idea of survivors having their own abilities but honestly, I have now come to enjoy (and prefer) the ability of survivors to swap out and "teach" their perks to others. In this way survivor players can choose the character model that they like the most and make them whatever they want them to be.

Ignore them completely. Seriously, don't pay any attention to comments like that. Play how you like to play.

I enjoy playing as killer and going easy on people, not camping nor tunneling, and I usually let the survivors all escape. I just want to practice, have fun, make some points, and help the other players see that not everyone in this game is a jerk. A question though: as I was NOT here for the community challenges, what does it mean that, for example, people could get together to unlock a map (as described in the OP)? Unlock it for what purpose? All maps are already unlocked so I'm confused as to what the community challenge actually does.

Okay so I wasn't around for this either but here's what my friend 3x0tic told me about that time. Basically, the devs set a time frame and a challenge- get x amount of hooks, x amount of generators, etc. Across the entire playerbase. This then caused them to release rewards, one of which was the map "Groaning Storehouse", which wasn't in DBD when the game launched and was added later due to one of these challenges.

To use an example I was here for, the Feng Min Phoenix Shirt. If you go to Feng Min, the shirt will be unlocked. It is for everyone and has been since we completed the challenge. However, prior to the Howling Grounds event (2018 Lunar New year event), nobody had the shirt. Through collecting a certain amount of Burnt Coins (killer currency) and Gold Coins (survivor currency), we would unlock a bonus cosmetic. And we reached the goal, getting the Feng Min skin unlocked.

In terms of what these community challenges will unlock, it'll most likely be the two skins and charms (Wraith + David King anniversary skins, and the Naughty Bear + 5th anniversary cake fingers thing charms). However, there could be more rewards too that we don't know about, and most likely won't until they reveal them.

Okay, I get it now. Thanks a lot for that explanation.

You dropped your crown 👑 , well done!

Its nice to see players who are still dedicated to the game and appreciate what the devs are doing.

Too many people complain about the devs, and this game overall. It's an AMAZING game. It's imperfect, as are 99.9 percent of games, but it's amazing nonetheless. The fact that they've stuck with it for this long and keep supporting it, keep pumping in ways to get cool stuff, keep providing freebies and incentives and ways to get boosts in-game, is just awesome. I wish more people appreciated the work that they do. Most people probably do, they're just not vocal about it.

I LOVE the bonus rift fragments, the crown and the bloodpoint bonuses. The Pride charm is great but it's gonna make my survivor stick out like a sore thumb, lol.

  • My eyes are a bit bad, is the globe icon what appears BEFORE a character's name, or after it? I assume before, with the circular object after a player's name being their prestige.

Hmm... That did not seem to work. I checked the profile for the pending friend invite and it lists trophies for only a few games (Shadow of the Colossus, WWE 13, GTA 5, Mortal Kombat) but little else. Could this be an old console account or something?

Perhaps your friend can shed some light on this confusing situation as my initial Google search (I've not had time to be thorough, obviously) was a bust.

Oh, interesting, those ARE games I used to have on my PS3.

Hmm...So now we know that your request is going to my (no longer active, since I gave away my PS3) Sony account. I guess we just need to figure out how to get a console request to come to Steam instead. I'll look into it, don't keep wasting your time. I appreciate the effort though. We'll get it sorted.

  • That's funny, JUST today I was talking to my friend and fellow player and mocking Arsenio Hall's pebble. I'm like "this is a game where you can recover from dying, see through walls, become temporarily invincible, and this goon over here has to spent like 40 seconds within range of the killer before he can throw a ######### distraction pebble".

  • At full power his tentacle seems to have some really good range to it, and of course it goes through pallets and breakable walls. It's only visual but I also love how massive he is. He's a good few inches taller than Spirit and as wide as the Twins, it's pretty intimidating to see a tank barreling down on you. I could be wrong but it seems like he's got a pretty big terror radius as well so you're always looking to see where he's coming from. Good pressure killer.

The zombies, at the moment at least, are totally negligible. Like 3 or 4 per map, slow and spread so far apart that they're either a complete non-threat or you forget about them and they're a sudden obstacle. When Nemesis kills one it respawns elsewhere though, which is interesting.

I don't think he's phenomenal, but I think he's pretty decent. I'd say strong B. Have to play with him more. I wonder if they'll change his perspective though, his "camera" comes from about mid-torso level.

Just had a thought - is there a way that someone on console is supposed to add a Steam user that you know of? I just checked and my invite is still sent and pending for 'miketheratguy' but maybe I did something wrong? Entirely possible! 😅

I keep wondering this myself, surely there's got to be a way to add you to my friend list despite being on different machines (I also have the game on the Switch Lite, I wonder if the request would show up there)? I believe that you sent it, twice now lol, but both times I looked in both Steam AND in-game and there are no pending invites or requests of any kind. But I do know that a buddy of mine plays on PS4 and somehow added me because I see him on my friend list. Maybe I need to give YOU my Steam profile code? If so, it's 231760069.

If that doesn't work I'll have to look it up, lol. It's silly that we haven't been able to play together, especially since our style seems the same.

  • To tack onto your post, if that's okay (as it also relates to the 5th anniversary info), how does one get into the public test build? I know how to get there in Steam but do I not need to enter a key?

  • If there's anything I can't stand about this game, it's the inability to teabag whenever I feel like it. :P

As soon as I heard it mentioned I knew with 100% certainty that the forums would be full of hysteria and hyperbole. It's not surprising since that is the general mentality of a lot of posters on these forums. BHVR should have held off on announcing it until the system was completed and had been tested thoroughly internally. If they had announced it with specifics the hysteria would have been lessened...not completely gone.

If it makes you feel any better when I moderated the THQ forums it was always like this whenever an announcement of any kind was made. Not specific enough, too little too late, jumping to conclusions, etc.

Everyone should just relax and allow them to do their jobs. We can present our concerns without arguing with them. The whole point is that we don't like toxic people right? We should do what we can to show that we don't belong to that group ourselves.
