Tell that to Bill’s original game model. BHVR said they used the same in-game model from Left4Dead and ported it over.

Yes, they obviously made some tweaks for it to fit DBD but it’s definitely a lot less work than starting from scratch.

I don't doubt that, but that doesn't mean that assets from one game can just be copied and pasted into other games without work, and sometimes the amount of work required isn't feasible. If it were, all the RE characters would just be direct ports. In fact BHVR and Capcom likely would have designed the character models to be totally interchangeable between games from the start. They didn't, and there's probably a number of technical reasons for that.

That's exactly how I feel as well. I don't care if I win or lose...I just want a game that feels intense, but fun and not where everyone dies within minutes of spawning in.

And it's okay...I'm gonna start practicing more and more with Huntress and try my best to get good on the killer side.

Yep, I definitely understand. And Huntress is a good killer, once you start getting good aim with her hatchets she's pretty fun to use.

  • Wraith. Cheap as #########. I have no fun whatsoever when I play him anymore. I can count on two things: Him appearing out of nowhere whenever I attempt to do anything whatsoever and of course getting his free hit. Then, if he downs me (because I don't carry obstacles, pallets and windows in my pocket at all times), he'll just go somewhere nearby, cloak, camp the hook, and repeat the process. Or go after someone else and start the process anew, ensuring that my teammates let me die because they also know what it's like to face the Wraith now. I hate him, it's a dull chore to play against him anymore.

Hag isn't fun, Bubba isn't fun, but no one is as cheap as the Wraith is now. No competitiveness, just constant guesswork. I'd honestly rather face the Spirit. You can at least SEE her for half the damn match.

  • "Copying and pasting" doesn't really work the way that many people seem to think it does. These character models are done at different times, by different teams, to fit different parameters, built on different skeletons, to play in different engines, performing different actions, having different animations, and using different code. If copying and pasting were that easy we'd have insta-ports of pretty much every game on every system and they'd be completely identical.

We can't also forget that alot of the killer community wants to strive for the 4k just bout every game. For me it's about chasing all 4 survivors and trying my damn best not to camp / tunnel, but when it comes down to it, That task is just harder than everything else in general,

I'm not saying we SHOULD remove the maps. But just... Fix the damn scratch marks, we say things when we're mad and that's human Nature, most likely we'll apologize and learn from this together, that and People truly don't like Lerys since they can get lost (which i don't blame em)

We just gotta fix alot of the issues first and see where we could go with this ya'know..

It's much more reasonable to specify exact problems such as the scratch marks. I would have no problem at all with an issue like that being addressed. That's a lot more reasonable than saying that "everyone hates the map so it should just be disabled". A lot of people resort to the latter, and it's irritating to people like myself who might happen to enjoy those maps. But if someone is willing to take the time to objectively communicate that there are things that are uniquely problematic to a certain map, things that would be worth taking a look at, that's a fair argument.

I understand getting lost in Lery's, I still get lost in it too. But to me that's part of the fun. In this particular case it's just a matter of preference - some killers may hate being lost and unable to quickly find survivors, whereas some survivors may enjoy the tension of not knowing when the killer is going to suddenly appear around the corner.

I bought the game, some DLCs and I want to enjoy the game with the perk builds I want. I don't want to spend hundreds of hours until I finally manage to unlock the perk that I want on my character. I would buy more DLCs, but I won't, because I will never have enough time to get the perks I want to play with.

Players can work/grind for prestige skins or archive challenges if they want to.

Here is a suggestion I posted a few days ago:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/258516/eliminate-the-grind-by-making-the-perks-immediately-available

You don't want to spend hundreds of hours until you finally manage to unlock the perk that you want. Why even play the game if you know that's how it works? Why even play the game if, once you get the perks you want, you will ostensibly now be spending hundreds of hours on the game just like you didn't want to do before you got your perk?

The game is ALL ABOUT spending hundreds, if not thousands, of hours playing. That is the entire point of the game. It isn't an RPG with a story that has a beginning, a middle and an end. It is a competitive game in which you go against other players in a constant flow of matches. That does not change whether you have the items you want or not, and to insist that you be given the items you want right off the bat is no different that someone playing said RPG and saying "this game isn't fun, I want all the best armor and magic spells right from the start so I can enjoy the game". If you're incapable of enjoying the game before maxing out your character, why play? Why subject yourself to so much alleged misery if the whole goal upon getting the good stuff is ultimately to PLAY THE GAME?

Dude, stop playing games. You didn't address a single point that I made and your analogy doesn't even loosely correlate to the topic at hand.

If you want to take a stroll through the countryside, fine, but don't tell the rest of us we're wrong for not joining you.

I'm not playing the game, you're just entirely missing the point.

I'll make it crystal clear: You say that the game is a grind because you don't get rewards for playing it fast enough. Therefore, you have to play a bunch of matches over and over. You don't like doing this. You eventually get your reward, and what do you get to do with it? You get to play a bunch of matches over and over. You now enjoy this.

The game is the same regardless of what items you have or how long it took you to get them. The fundamentals are the same. The structure is the same. The goals are the same. The game does not become a different thing just because you're gotten an item or perk that you wanted to get faster than the game is designed to give you. It is the same game before and after. Therefore it is either a grind at ALL times, no matter what, in which case there is no need to rush it (or, if you hate the grind that much, even play it all). OR, the game is NOT a grind, it's just a game that parcels out rewards at various intervals, and you are choosing to SEE it as a grind until you get the special thing that you want.

Demanding that the "grind" be eliminated is to do nothing to change the nature of the game other than give you the best things upfront, which defeats the goal of encouraging the player to enjoy playing the game repeatedly and working towards various rewards. Do you not understand this yet? Is this that difficult a concept for people to grasp?

It isn't a "grind". No one's forcing anyone to trudge through it in misery, hating every second until somehow the experience turns great just because you've gotten BBQ or whatever other thing you're complaining about not being handed right from the start. It is, like any other game, a system of gaining experience and rewards through playing. It is designed to be played a multitude of times. The more you play, the more you amass nice things. It doesn't have to be a "grind" - AKA a chore - unless you choose to see it that way.

  • With more play and practice you'll notice less of these situations. Playing as a solo survivor is generally considered to be somewhat tough.

I've thought about the hook camping scenario before, my idea was to award the survivors a steady (but low, so as not to be imbalanced) stream of survival bloodpoints as long as the killer hung around a certain distance of the hook. That way the killer could still do it, the game wouldn't be held up, but the poor person who's forced to just sit there not playing the game would at least get something out of it (as opposed to what they get now, which is nothing. Except frustration). This would lower the number of disconnects as well.

  • I get Nemesis maybe 40 percent of the time. I still see him regularly.

That said, he's NOTHING like what Trickster's debut was like. I saw THAT idiot probably 8 out of every 10 matches for a good two damn weeks. What I find interesting is that Nemesis, who seems controversial in that some people think he's weak and some people think he's strong (putting him in the middle), isn't being played anywhere near as much as a character that everyone unanimously agreed to be the worst killer in the game.

The good news is that no one plays HIM anymore.

Coldwind sucks all-around. Of course, every time I use my expensive add-ons, it's ######### Coldwind.

I understand the need for there to be survivor-sided maps to balance out killer-sided ones, but I agree with the OP. I've thought about this just about every single time I've played it. It wouldn't be so bad if I could read auras and just have a shot at winning. I'm luck to get 2 or 3k on Coldwind, and a lot of that comes down to the map's visibility.

Maybe there could be an option to render all Coldwind maps as nighttime for killers or survivors who wanted it, and the rest could view it as usual.

(I could have sworn the Coldwind maps originally took place at night, too. Mandela effect? Glitch in the Matrix?)

They were better at night, they just felt more creepy and natural. If they didn't want to make only SOME of the maps bright daytime they could at least have had a day and night variant or something.

But you think it's survivor sided? Really? I've found Coldwind to be one of the more balanced set of maps, actually. I lose about as much as I win.

    @TragicSolitude said:

I'm torn on this one. When I play on PS4, the farm maps are too bright. On the Switch, the farm maps are the only maps on which I can properly see so that I'm not constantly walking into walls and getting stuck in unseen corners.

Gotta hold the home button and jack the Switch's brightness (assuming that you're playing in handheld mode, I mean).

  • There's nothing worse for survivor mains than salty fellow survivors. Just today I got yet another of what I guess is going to be a bi-monthly complaint about the fact that I prefer stealthy to aggressive play. I did several unhooks, deliberately intercepted the killer to save someone else, and did 1 1/2 gens by myself while everyone else was running around being hard. I knew I'd get less points than most of the others but that's fine, I learned a while ago that the game rewards more aggressive play. Anyway we all survived, and I said "good game". That still wasn't enough to stop some dissatisfied teammate from saying "wow Miketheratguy how'd you get 13K by hiding in a locker all match". I said "I got 13K because I never even entered a locker, idiot".

There are so many entitled survivors it's disgusting. You have to play THEIR WAY or half the time they'll intentional spoil your game. It's to the point that many killer mains on this site have said that if they see a survivor trying to sell out their team, they'll kill that survivor and let the innocent ones go. Thankfully it's not like this all the time - I only see it rarely - but it happens, and it's stupid.

Survivors sabotaging the match as some kind of joke for themselves, or even working with the killer to screw everyone else? That's the worst of the worst. I report every person who does that with video and as many written details as the company could ever ask for.

But imagine your beat-up piece of crap car breaks down and strands you in the countryside. The scenery may be beautiful, but it's also hot out and there's no one and nothing around to help you. Now you have to finish the rest of your journey on foot in discomfort because your car wasn't up for the journey.

And right now, DbD is that beat-up piece of crap car. The dealer who sold it to you was also exclusively in charge of maintenance, but they failed to give it the tune-up it needed to continue running reliably on the road. While you would have been content to stick with and improve upon your well-traveled and well-loved beater, you're now stuck looking for a new car or waiting until major repairs can be performed on your old one.

All while the dealer is still charging you for that unfortunate tune-up.

Two can play at car analogies.

You're conflating two different issues though. I'm not talking about technical performance, I'm talking about the belief that the game isn't fun or enjoyable until one gets the "good stuff". Once you get the good stuff it's still the same game. If repeatedly playing matches is a grind, then the game will always be a grind. That doesn't change just because you got a new trinket. Your kit changes, you might have more fun, but the game isn't any different. You're still doing the same thing. DBD doesn't switch from "grind" to "not a grind" when you get a perk that you wanted. It's still the same game.

  • She's cute, she looks pretty accurate. The eye area just needs some work.

I am a survivor main, my rank is between 11-14 and I have only been playing for roughly five months. I chose to play this game because it was horror themed and I am a huge fan of horror. I have my own struggles with the game as survivor and killer, but when I really think about it...what is there to complain about?

It is a horror game and in horror... survivors aren't meant to survive. They are meant to be murdered, tortured and sacrificed. Killers don't care about your feelings or what it takes for you to escape...all they care about is ending your life whether it be fast or slow. Killers in horror movies seem unstoppable so as much as I hate how killer sided the game is... the movies and the killers in real life...are strong, quick and extremely intelligent and/or brutal and very rarely does a survivor make it out and if they do it's usually only one.

With that being said...why complain? If you love the game as much as I do...keep playing and keep trying and don't get mad or give up even if you think someone is camping or tunneling or not playing the way you'd like. I know I prefer longer games where it feels like I'm actually trapped in a movie...and I hate games that end within five minutes, but I have no control over anyone but myself, so...I decided to not complain and to just play. You should too.

I generally agree with this. The only part that I don't really see eye to eye on is the concept vs reality comparison (meaning that one should expect to die because it's a horror themed game. Lots of people survive horror movies after all. It's a minor quibble though, and it's mostly just because it reminds me of arguments I've heard defending how cheap the Wraith is. "He's a stealth killer. He's supposed to get free hits". I don't think that logic is 100 percent solid, but alright.

Anyway yeah, I don't get why so many people can't just relax and enjoy the game. People hate "the grind" (sorry folks but "the grind" is just another term for "playing a game that's entire structure is built around playing it many, many, many times"). People hate certain maps. People hate certain killers (including myself, obviously). But I mean, is it really that hard to just chill and have fun? Does everything have to be perfect and exactly what you want and go your way 100 percent of the time in order for you to enjoy yourself? All of us win. All of us lose. All of us get maps we hate mixed in with the ones we love. All of us go against killers we hate when we'd rather be facing someone else. All killers wind up dealing with annoying sweat squads sometimes. But it's a GAME. It's just meant to be your side versus the other side, trying to outwit and outplay the other. It's supposed to be fun. It's not supposed to be a stressful chore. And if it is, maybe it's not the game for you.

  • I'm not with the survivors in this scenario but you're kind of obligated, in a way, to find and kill them. I mean that's how a killer successfully finishes the match. That said, again, I get your point. They were the ones holding up the match.

Here's the problem Progression is random, and comparatively few perks are useful to either side, and many of those perks are designed by BHVR as a fix for core issues in the game. Have fun playing as survivor without DS and borrowed time. Have fun playing killer without gen defense. This isn't even factoring in that some perks work pretty much exclusively in combos, making the RNG aspect worse. The grind 100% needs to be addressed (and perks need to stop being locked behind characters BTW).

I don't use any of those perks. They're half the problem. Everyone just wants to rush to the fastest power perks like it's a race. Gotta have Borrowed Time, gotta have Decisive Strike, gotta have BBQ.

I guess I'm unique in that I simply enjoy the gameplay. I don't feel any need to rush through it all, angry and frustrated because the game didn't start me out with the best possible equipment. That's basically what people are asking for when they say that the grind is too much and that something "needs to be done about it". They're saying "Speed up this game that's meant to be played a thousand times over and give me all the best stuff faster so I have to play it less".

  • @Terrortot said:

Why would you not play off the basement if you hook someone there?

  • @MrSmashem said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2287243#Comment_2287243

That's a gross over-simplification. Perks/Add-ons drastically change how the game is played and can even make or break certain Killers(at the very least, make them significantly more competitive). Not to mention, some people find it fun to play around with different builds and don't want to dedicate hundreds if not thousands of hours to the game so that they can do that. The game gets stale before they ever make it there. It's not difficult to understand.

Not to mention we're essentially being barred from using content we payed for, without dedicating an inordinate amount of time to the game. This games grind is so bad it puts some F2P games to shame.

Also, why would you defend the grind if it clearly doesn't bother you or appeal to you? If it doesn't concern you, why bother trying to slap down a change that most players want? You seem to be disagreeing just to disagree.

    Sure, if you say so.

Imagine driving through a beautiful country in a beat-up piece of crap car. It works fine, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not a top of the line luxury model. You're on your way to the auto dealer to buy a better model. You can appreciate the beautiful scenery on your way, enjoying the experience as you go, or you can speed through and think of the entire ride as a chore just because you're not looking at the beautiful scenery through a more expensive window. Regardless of how fast you get the new car, the view is still the same.

having to play as lvl 1 killers is not ######### fun

the game is meant to be fun, grinding for hours so you can get a perk to have a chance at winning as killer is not fun

There's no difference between a level 1 killer and a level 50 killer, other than perks and items.

I get what you're saying but my point is that if you're rushing through the game just to get your hands on the upgrade stuff, then you're skipping past hours upon hours of gameplay that could definitely be fun. It's all in how you look at it. I enjoyed the process of leveling up my characters. Do I have more fun now that the ones I use have a bunch of cool stuff? Sure. But that doesn't mean that the game was so radically different when I didn't have that stuff that I couldn't stand to play.

  • I love everything about it with the exception of Nemesis (he's okay. Not great, not terrible. 3.6 roentgen).

Can't wait to play the map again, I loved it. That said, the performance issues obviously need to go. Barring that, content-wise, I think that it's a solid "A".

  • I don't think that Coldwind is too bright. Maybe people have their brightness turned too high to give them an advantage? :)

That said, I liked the maps better at night. There are five of them, they didn't have to make them ALL daytime.

I'm the same way. I just want a game that lasts a good amount of time to feel like I had a chance to really get something accomplished and earn enough points for the game to have felt "complete". Ten, fifteen minutes is good for me. I don't care if I win or lose, I just want to feel like I had a fun, fair, and reasonably balanced game.

I'm sorry to hear that your situation was so frustrating that it made you cry. :(

I'm honestly getting discouraged enough to stop playing this game for a while. I'm so tired of being Gen rushed by a bunch of red ranks and i'm only a green rank. there is no fairness in that at all. And then to top it off, when the match is obviously over, the gates are open, it adds insult to injury when the survivors just run around the map and hang out in the gate taunting you when you don't benefit from it at all. It's really obnoxious.

How can I play with people more suited to my level of play? I'm sick and fkking tired of being cheated out of fair matches.

Aw man, you should have added a question mark at the end of your title. I clicked this topic hoping to learn how to manually de-rank as well.

  • I just don't understand the point of rushing through this game for a certain perk or achievement or whatever. The game is, by design, meant to be played over and over and over. It doesn't have to be a grind unless you make it that way.

A long time, literally the first time I got camped by a killer. It happened when I first started playing DBD, back in 2018. That Wraith was having a very rough time on Old Ormon, which was a very bad map for killers, so he decided to secure a kill.

I seem to get Wraith on Ormond a lot. Well I guess I actually get him a lot on every map that exists, there's never been a map I haven't gotten him on like twenty times or more by now. But for some reason I kind of associate him with Ormond as well.

Why was that map considered difficult for killers before? What changed?

    @LiquidPhat said:

Although I get a lot of bubba's who facecamp, I still love going against them, specifically looping them, not knowing if I'm going to make it to the next pallet or not, because I just find it thrilling and fun xD I wish they didn't camp so they could engage in chases more though.

    To each their own. :P

  • I'm just going to say the same thing I say to everybody when I hear about the "grind".

The grind is, when you get down to it, literally just playing the game. There's no "end" scenario, no finale where the game has been "completed". The whole design of the game is to play it over and over and over. What's the point of rushing through a bunch of matches when the reward is more matches?

I don't understand why people don't just relax and play the game to have fun instead of trying to hurry to a specific goal like a certain perk or whatever. Once you get it you'll have angrily hurried through the game just to then...play more of the game.

  • If the queue times are faster I'd attribute that to the increased number of players here for the update. As for the MMR they said that they concluded the test a week ago or some such, though I guess they could always be doing some stealth work behind the scenes.

You're completely missing the point, what he is saying is that the survivor turns right but the scratchmarks goes left. I personally have encountered this many times, once I had a survivor run past some stairs and for some reason the scratchmarks went up the stairs instead of following the survivor. That's what makes them inconsistent.

I understood his point completely, my point was that the complaint still boils down to killers not having as easy a time on the map as they'd like. If the scratches appear incorrectly on the map I don't think that anyone would object to that being fixed.

I could play upwards from 50-100 matches a day, and most of my maps consist of Autohaven (Which i prefer) Macmillian, Lerys, Hawkins or Midwich.. Rarely i get none of the specific maps lest i bring an offering,

I think that part of the problem with people not liking certain maps is that when they do get those maps they stand out, leave a negative impression, and seem to have a lasting effect every time they show back up. This perpetuates a cycle of thinking that the map comes up way more than it does.

This includes me. If I were to go back and look at my recordings to see how often I get my favorite maps, it's probably a lot more than whatever number I have in my head. Similarly I hate the swamp maps the most (they've replaced Dead Dawg as the most dull and annoying map to play on for me) but I probably don't see them nearly as much as it feels like I do. When I do they just stand out. "Oh. THIS map again". Even once a day is too much.

I'm not saying that this is true of you or anybody else specifically, I just think that it's a likely possibility for a lot of people in general. The things we don't like stand out more, we dwell on them, we learn to anticipate that they represent frustration and stress. That doesn't necessarily mean that they're bad, or that we can't have fun with them. They just leave a bad impression.

You're lucky if you're not getting Codlwind very often. A lot of us are getting it 65-75 percent of the rotation every single session. It's a good realm but I'd like to see a little more variety. And stuff like this is exactly why we need indoor maps, dark maps, small maps, large maps. We need variety. This is a great game but it becomes tedious when things start repeating themselves. The more maps, the better. The more perks, the better. The more killers, the better. The more skill levels, the better. The more playstyles, the better. I mean I love (LOVE) the bot matches, I cannot wait until they upgrade them. But even I can't play Dwight vs Trapper on MacMillan more than a couple of times a night.

I wish I was exaggerating. But it could also be offerings people are doing. I really don't look at the offerings that people put up.

Well I won't call you a liar, I'm just hesitant to think that the game's map randomizer is truly THAT terrible. I mean the odds of getting one realm that many times are very low, though admittedly it's the map that has the highest odds being that there are 5 maps in it and it does currently seem tuned to show up more often, likely because it's the new redesign.

I got Hawkins and The Game today but only because they were offerings. Beyond that it was the same as every other day of the last month: Coldwind, Autohaven, some Macmillan, Yamaoka, and more Coldwind.

A camping Freddy truly is a rare experience. But then again, it always was. He was never a good camper.

And I glad to see you think us Freddy mains are skilled. Such compliments are rare. I usually receive...well, you know. So I thank you for that <3

Ah you're welcome. There's a difference between losing because the player was cheap (Wraith, Bubba) and losing because the player was good with a complicated character (Freddy, Pyramid Head).

Killer isn't fun. Killer is Stressful,

In this day and age where Gen rushing is a thing and being force to go to the same map over and over and over..

I don't agree that playing as killer isn't fun, if it were then there's no reason to do it. I do recognize that it's hard, and that it's stressful. I have more fun playing as survivor. Killers have to play a much more intense game (unless they're Bubba campers, which 90 percent of Bubbas are).

That said, just because a player might find the role of killer difficult or stressful doesn't mean that maps that may potentially add to their stress should be eliminated. I feel stressed out on certain maps as well, thinking that the map is either worse for my playstyle or just plain ugly / irritating / boring / frustrating to navigate, but I recognize that my preferences don't take priority over everyone else's and I would never call for those maps to be taken away from those who do enjoy them. I just have to accept that the game wasn't built just for me, sometimes I'm going to have crappy matches on crappy maps, and I play through them and move on.

Not me. I liked the new map. It was a change up now all day 9 times out of 10 ill be sent to Coldwind Farm. I have played 50 matches so far today and only 2 have been other places.

48 matches on Coldwind on one day? Out of 50? That would mean that you got that realm more than 20 times in a row. I have to try to remain fair here, that number seems a wee bit high to be realistic.

That said, Coldwind IS jacked up. They've got it tuned up to show off the changes or something but I think we're all plenty over it by now. I've played about 20, maybe 25 matches today and at least a dozen of them were on Coldwind. I have to admit though, I DID get the Thompson House a couple of times which was a nice change. Normally it's only ever Abattoir and Rotten Fields.

If I had eternity, it still wouldn't be enough to explain how wrong your comment is.

I did get a camping Freddy last night that was really annoying. But that doesn't happen often, I have to admit that I find Freddy to be a relatively frustrating opponent because most of the players who use him are skilled and play more unpredictably.

If a bubba is camping just have the 3 others rush gens

To be fair more people need to start doing this because camping Bubba HAS become all but a meme at this point and it's apparently not going to stop until players quit feeding into it. It sucks to be that person on the hook (which is why camping sucks) but the only way to discourage it is to stop feeding into it.

That said, yeah, it would be nice if players who used characters like Bubba and Wraith did something other than camp hooks for easy wins. When you can pretty much guarantee that every experience against these types of characters is going to play out the same way it starts to make for a pretty dull match.

No Killer who isn't utter garbage complains about indoor maps. They just want to always be zoom-zoom Nurse/Spirit/Billy (Not so much Billy anymore; poor guy :( ).

That's why so many people hate and suck with Nemesis, Myers, Ghostface and a host of other Killers. They can't play anything that requires more than two seconds of actual thinking rather than go fast twitch reflexes.

I used to try really hard to remain neutral to both sides but the sheer amount of whining that I see on this forum about any and all indoor maps demonstrates what is, to me, a very clear and apparently unconscious bias. I always hear pointless, vague generalities like "they suck" and "no one likes them". Yet when you actually see someone complaining about them it's always about the number of pallets, or how frustrating it is to loop (and I don't even like looping myself). No one ever says "there are too many dead ends that make it frustrating for both sides", no one ever says "the map has clipping issues and I fall through the floor". No, it's always just a variation of "I prefer the maps to be open because, for one reason or another, it's easier for me to have an advantage as the killer".

That's not to say that every survivor likes the indoor maps. I'm sure that some hate them just like I love some of the outdoor maps. But with this recent RPD fiasco it has become so glaringly obvious that a large number of players don't like the indoor maps and think that they're "bad" and "poorly designed" or "don't fit DBD" for no reason other than their own frustration at the inability to be as dominant on those maps as they'd like to be.

Then I come along and say "there are loads of maps, variety is good, there should be something for everybody, all players should have a chance to enjoy their preferred aesthetic and playstyle, not every map should look and play the same, no map should be deleted because every map has its fans", etc., and I'm called selfish.

  • I was getting this frequently just around the time of the update (maybe the night before, can't recall). Last night / this early morning I played the game for 6 straight hours and didn't have a single error of any kind whatsoever. PC.

  • Besides which, anyone who says that the map is just running in a straight line is either exaggerating or hasn't played it. The map has an abundance of ways to play because the architecture is NOT just a straight line. There are narrow hallways, yes (which is a strange thing for killers to complain about) but there are also loads of corners, lots of obstacles, massively wide open areas (see the map that someone kindly provided earlier in this thread), balconies, staircases, dead ends, rooms with multiple exits, etc.

  • Anecdotally, according to my recorded matches for the last three months:

Most common: Trickster (only during his debut month, now I rarely see him), Wraith (much more so after his recent buff), Trapper, Ghostface

Least common: Oni, Twins, Blight, Deathslinger

Multiple rooms. Long hallways. doors opened / closed.

Meaning that they could be running through multiple rooms at once, but the scratchmarks randomly go the otherway rather than chase that One player running,

So instead of them going left. the scratchmarks goes right while they continue holding W or w/e

So again, the argument boils down to "it's not as fun for the killer". The presence of walls make it more difficult to hone in on survivors. That's what you're saying.

It's also due to the fact that Scratch Marks are shittier on In-door maps,

They're stlil inconsistence and terrible, And on a map like lerys in which you think they went into One room but not in that ONE room you last saw em?

Help me understand your definition of "inconsistent". What is inconsistent about Lery's and consistent about Dead Dawg Saloon?
