  • LOL yep, a choice the killer makes is absolutely the survivors' fault. SURE, JAN.

There are absolutely times when the killer can't find the person who made the save and I don't blame them there for "tunneling" the person who just got saved. But that also means they either never left the hook or chose to go straight back to it.

Don't act like 95% of the time, the killer is just unskilled and chooses to tunnel. Play how you want, but you make that choice, no one else.

  • @PhantomChimera said:

Their are several companies out there that sell Gaming PC's. Have you tried that fix?

Are you sitting down? This might shock you, but not everyone likes playing on PC.

  • I agree, killers who camp and tunnel are just not skilled at the game. But to be fair, most survivors are just as bad. A good group of survivors can handle a killer who camps and tunnels. But that's extremely rare to find as a solo player, and it sucks.

  • That's the whole point of Hex perks - high risk, high reward. No, it shouldn't receive a massive buff and no longer be a Hex perk.

  • @Sunbreaker7 said:

Seriously why? This is nothing but a "get out of jail for free" card for survivors and they can have 4 of them, one each. It's ridiculously insane just how fast survivors can finish a generator with the help of a Brand New Part add-on, not to mention if there is more than one using it on the same generator.

Chases with syringe survivors become a complete waste of time because you cannot even anticipate that a survivor has the syringe add-on. You think you are investing in a down for the price of a generator or two, but BOOM, at the last second before you get a chance to down a survivor, they heal back to full health right in the middle of a chase. And again, each survivor has the potential to have one of these...

I play both survivor and Killer equally, and even I can see these add-ons are outdated. Huntress Add-ons went through a rework not too long ago, so did several others who were deemed too OP, how about some work on Survivor's side, hm?

Have the nerfs not been enough? I guess clearly the answer from you is no.

I have literally never seen a game in more than 1500 hours where all four survivors brought in BNPs or syringes, before or after the nerfs. Syringes aren't instant anymore, so that argument that they're get out of jail free cards is invalid.

Why do killers still have exhaustion add ons when the exhaustion mechanic has been changed?

  • @dspaceman20 said:

Don't you think your expecting too much. Think about it how is the survivor supposed to know they are going for the achievement?

Not everything the survivor does is to screw over the killer.

Killers have a hard time understanding this because everything they do IS to screw over the survivors.

Ha! Hey, way off topic, but did you know there’s a bear hidden in the mountain on the left side of the Toblerone package? (Right in front of the “T”)

No but I thank you for the excuse to buy candy now so I can check it out.

Whether you lost connection cause you quit or because your connection is awful doesn't matter to The Machine (nor does it matter to the four people's game you just ruined).

You're not likely going to get any help to get unbanned. I don't believe you ever get actually perma banned for DC'ing but you're unlikely to ever get any help as it builds up because you keep getting disconnected.

Disconnects have never ruined the game for me (and I'm a solo survivor).

I can still play and have fun if someone DCs. I have always thought the penalty was bad for the game.

  • I've had the DC penalty from disconnects several times. I just stop playing the game for days at a time when that happens. I'm not sitting around, waiting to play a game that punishes me for their poor performance.

  • I don't think it's appropriate considering he murdered actual human beings. He shouldn't be celebrated in a game. No. Absolutely not. I realize it's been a long time so for all of us living today, there's a bit of a disconnect. But no, he butchered women and shouldn't be in a game.

Think about it this way, Trickster is pretty much a Korean Ghost Face. Both of them blended in perfectly with their situation and environment, nobody had a damn clue what they were up to. Ghost Face made reports on his own killings, and Trickster made songs including his victims. They're both pretty expressive as well on how much they enjoy killing, Trickster just cranks it up a tad bit more.

Honestly just writing this just made me realize how similar these 2 characters are

That checks out because Ghostface and Trickster are my two least favorite killers to go against. Boring and for some reason, the players seem to be really toxic.

  • When will PC players stop complaining about the post game chat? When? Just don't read it. It's not that complicated.

  • Solo queue felt horrible for me with MMR.

  • I've always referred to Pyramid Head as Toblerone.

  • I don't think there are or should be any perks that screw over your teammates. If you get people who follow you around like ducklings, I'd use a perk that actually helps, like Prove Thyself.I can't ever use Prove Thyself because most games my teammates don't do gens. They just heal the entire game and leave me to do all the gens.

Also if you're so upset with teammates, maybe play killer for a while?

  • I don't know, I play on console and our feedback doesn't matter.

  • I've always thought they have either side an unfair advantage and I'd be fine with them being removed. I only ever sometimes use them for tome challenges ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Eh, solo queue is as bad as it always is.

  • Yes, I'm also still experiencing it, but it was never fixed for me. It's been better, but still constant lagging/freezing/dropping frames. Whatever you want to call it. It's probably the best we are going to get.

  • I love when killers complain that a perk works. And speaking of, do you have any idea how often Dead Hard does not work? When the devs destroy DH from all the killers' constant complaining, I wonder what you will do when survivors use a perk that works 100% of the time. Killer mains won't be able to handle it.

I think Pop needs to be reworked. All killers have to do is push a button to undo all my work.

  • It never stopped for me, so "still" and not "again"

Stop killing yourself on first hook because I won’t get off of my 80% completed gen while Ruin is still up.

It is the one of the most entitled annoying things about playing Solo Q with other survivors.

Since you went down 10 seconds into a chase, you want everyone else to stop what they’re doing to come and get you immediately. If you can’t run the killer for 1 single gen, be prepared to stay on the hook until 1 is completed.

The only exception is if you’re hooked and you see 3 muppets urban evading and being completely unproductive. Then it’s understandable ;)

People are allowed to play how they want, regardless of you not liking it. Don't play a multiplayer game if you can't deal with having teammates.

Hex totems at the moment are pointless even with their effects because of the speed of cleansing, visibility, spawn location and the survivor perks running against them. The main reason for this idea is to lessen the use of ruin undying and similar combos. You shouldn't have to run two hex totem just to ensure that one of them can be used. I also feel it might help with killers running more varied builds surrounding totems. I believe if the following alterations were made to them then they would be more practical in game.

-hex totems won't spawn within 8 meters of any generator

-the vividness of hex totems is slightly reduced.

-hex totems have a minimum activation time before being able to be cleansed. The times would vary greatly depending on the hex of the totem. certain totems would instead have a minimum use before being able to be cleansed.

Ex: the entity's grasp on this totem dissipates after 180 seconds and it is then able to be cleansed.(ruin)

Ex: the entity's grasp on this totem dissipates after 2 uses and it is then able to be cleansed.(blood favor)

(totems like undying would not come with this effect or have the effect severely reduced)

-survivor perks would still allow for the totem to be found and or seen by perks

Please remain open minded, and if you believe any of these changes would be unfair then also express a solution or reasoning as to why.

Small Game was nerfed. Totems appearances changed and they're harder to see. Some spawns have changed, so they're harder to find. They're impossible to find in the corn, and even with a totem finding perk, you waste a lot of time. On an indoor map, good luck cleansing a totem with any perk. You know what you're getting into with using Hex perks. It is what it is.

I still see it all the time. Still works like usual, even the devs said the stars are largely the same. All it means is now survivors can't abuse it. Its no longer 60 seconds of free gens, or guaranteed safe unhooks.

Still destroys tunneling like it should.

How am I abusing it if I try to heal myself? Or if I tap a gen for a split second? A perk that is supposed to give you a chance against a killer that chooses to tunnel deactivates if survivors play the game. It's bullshit. That does not still work as usual. They should have made the perk deactivate if the killer downed or hooked someone else, which would very much be NOT tunneling. But they didn't do that. I'm surprised it doesn't deactivate if you vault a ######### window now.

  • Lately, honestly, I don't have fun playing this game. I've taken months long breaks before but at this point I'm wondering why I bother to come back to the game at all.

Its funny too that you're running Small Game because I used to always run it and they nerfed it so I stopped.

  • Yes, it still happens to me too on PS4.

Weirdly, the update made it better at first (still not fixed, but better) and now it seems to be getting worse for me. More frequent lag spikes and for longer periods of time.

It's so funny that killers complain about how unfair DH is when it fails every time I use it. They're going to be so pissed when the devs destroy it like other survivor perks they complain about and we all start using an exhaustion perk that actually works.

  • @socalfusions said:

On top of the fact that it's been heavily nerfed I can't see why DS even has a skill check component to it when considering that the connection can be based off of a laggy killer which results in a completely unpredictable interaction. I've missed multiple times even since the last update because of a bad connection with the needle simply not lining up like normal.

The perk has been destroyed, so congrats to killer mains. Not only do survivors now get punished for playing the game, it's useless on console. I stopped using it and just run Borrowed Time now. I wish my teammates would do the same. They've been complaining a lot about DH and Iron Will lately too, so those should be the next to be destroyed for survivors.

  • Survivors teabagging on the hatch is no reason to change anything about the hatch, period. Or I mean, I get teabagged by Ghostface, therefore his ability to do that needs to be changed. Killers hit me on the hook, therefore they shouldn't be able to use their weapon within a certain range of the hook.

The hatch sometimes rewards bad survivors, and sometimes it rewards a good survivor. I have had a lot of games where killers got more kills than they deserved because people dipped early with a key. I know a killer would never admit that's the case, but it's true regardless.

If you want to slug for the 4k, don't act like you are forced to do it. When I play killer, I don't care if someone gets the hatch. I'd rather move on to the next game and actually play than spend 5-10 minutes looking for the Claudette who has been hiding the whole game.

And killers literally ARE sometimes rewarded with free kills in the game now with End Game Collapse.

To answer your question "If the Killer doesn't "need" to kill all 4 Survivors, why does the final Survivor "need" to escape?" Why wouldn't a survivor use a means made available to win? You can close the hatch. You can slug. You move faster than the survivor. You can decide to take the time to look for the hatch if you're so scared someone might take it. Those are all things you can do to win, so why shouldn't survivors take the hatch if they have the chance to win? You see it as a "free win," and yet there are conditions that have to be met in order to escape via the hatch. You act as if the hatch spawns in instantly with a neon sign that only survivors can see and use whenever they want.

  • @ill_Boston_lli said:

This perk is so busted and the devs take away the only counter to it. Why do you guys allow survivors to make 0 sound when injured? This perk literally is on EVERY survivor now. its broken they dont breath when injured either which is also bs. How can someone hold their breath and run!!!! lol keep it up devs

Well, for one, there's a challenge in the tome to us Iron Will, so that's why you're seeing it even more.

Also, there have been a few nerfs to other perks that have made them not worth using anymore. Two perks I always ran as a survivor have been nerfed (Small Game and DS), and Dead Hard is useless with the console problems and the fact that it fails about half the time anyway. That's why I've been running Iron Will, not to mention it's a good perk. It's definitely not on every survivor though. And if it were, so what? Almost every killer uses BBQ. Both are good perks, that's why people use them. Another perk that I sometimes ran as a solo survivor was OOO, which was also nerfed.

So blame the devs for ruining other good perks and making a tome challenge to use one of the few remaining ones.

  • Solo survivor here.

I kinda feel like I have to sacrifice diversity for winning, and I'm sure others feel the same. Sometimes I don't care, I want to run fun perks even if it makes me more likely to lose. Sometimes my games are so bad, I want to run the meta to just have ONE good game. Most of the time as a solo survivor, your teammates matter far more than your perks.

I used to run Small Game. Very niche, hardly used by anyone, and the devs nerfed it, so I'm back to exclusively meta perks. There's just no reason not to, and so many new perks are just crappy versions of perks that already exist. But the devs are on a schedule of new characters every three months, even if there's nothing worth adding to the game.

DS was destroyed, so now I run BT which affects the whole team every unhook, not just me if I'm tunneled. I think as a killer, I'd rather have one person with DS as opposed to more people running BT, but what choice do we have when now survivors are punished for playing the game?

I do not blame killers at all for running 2-3 slow down perks. It sucks as a survivor when you're matched with three level 19-20s, but those games are going to suck anyway.

  • @Junylar said:

One simple question for you: how do you, as a survivor, counter a trap you have not seen yet, while being chased by the trapper? Think about it.

The only thing you can do as a survivor in that situation is avoid loops and windows where a trap might be, or risk it, and that's why I don't think Trapper is as bad as people say. Usually if I'm injured, I risk it. My Dead Hard is probably going to fail, and I'll likely be going down soon. If I vault the window or run to the pallet, there's a chance I can extend the chase. If I'm healthy, I avoid the places I think the trap could be because he is going to get a hook a lot faster if I step in a trap as opposed to hitting me twice.

Small Game used to go off for bear traps, Hag traps, and for Freddy snares and pallets. I would avoid safe loops where totems were because it could have been a trap, and I didn't want to risk it. Now that SG has been nerfed, I always have to decide if I want to risk stepping in a trap or not use a pallet or window.

  • Didn't he get a buff, or did a hallucinate that? I've been away from the game for a while. I know for sure that he got a buff because Small Game got a nerf that directly applies to Trapper, Hag, and Freddy.

  • You desperately wanted characters' appearance to change? Pretty weird priority, and sucks for those of us who mained characters and now they look worse.

  • @bibibib8 said:

This map is horrible for killer you have 30 pallet to break before you can start hitting the survivor

And it sucks for survivors because it's hard to find gens, so the game is automatically slowed down. I have 1500 hours in the game and I still struggle to find gens. Think of what it's like for newer survivors. That's why I don't think it's horribly unbalanced.

  • I have many times had to do challenges more than once to get credit for them. Back before all of my friends quit this game, my buddy would get killer challenges done while playing survivor.

  • I actually don't think that map is horribly unbalanced, but I agree this is another misstep from the devs. It's just like the character appearance rework. No one asked for it, no one wanted it, and they did that instead of fixing issues that are real problems.

  • @missionnhunter said:

Thanks for reinstating the DC penalty. I just had 2 rounds in which survivors were working with the killer preventing me from dying or completing gens so I was unable to exit the game. So I had to disconnect, now I can't play the game because of your dc penalty.

HOW ABOUT YOU FING FIX THE REASONS PEOPLE HAVE TO DC INSTEAD OF PUNISHING THEM FOR THE ACTIONS OF OTHER PEOPLE??? GET A FING CLUE

Yesterday I had a game where my teammates worked with the killer too. I got hooked, and my teammate spend the whole time pressing unhook super quickly and making me scream over and over and over again until I died, and there was nothing I could do. The killer just stood there and watched and then let them go. It's not like reporting anyone actually does anything. Add there was another game yesterday where a Wraith was not playing for real, but he body blocked someone for so long she had three crows. I had a game a few days ago against a Doctor and when I was the last person left, he slugged me and stood over me, shaking his head at me until I bled out. I hadn't been hooked at all that game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have many times had teammates body block me for several minutes when I cleansed a totem.

I've also had penalties when my game crashes. A few days ago my game froze for more than 40 seconds and I got a 15 minute penalty. I had had other penalties that same day from loading in and then getting the player level error or whatever the ######### its called. I just stopped playing entirely. I'm not going to sit there and watch the seconds tick down until I can play DBD again.

I have never liked the DC penalty, I think it's bad for the game. I play less and less because I'm forced to stay in ######### situations or get banned.

  • @Clevite said:

Then, we would have even more scared survivors hiding when Alert procs,,lol.

But seriously, it would be strong with Bond. My current solo build is Bond and Kindred, and honestly, it just kills me inside every time I see what my teammates are doing instead.

Yeah I've been trying to use Bond and Prove Thyself in solo queue lately and there's just no reason to bring Prove Thyself. People do not do gens. I'm currently rank 11, and whether I get purple teammates or three rank 20s, people are terrified to play the game. I love seeing killers scream that gens are too fast. Have a life outside of DBD, and try playing solo for a few hours. It's a nightmare.

No one is being "bullied" by pixels in a video game.

There are people behind those pixels, though. The OP may not be justified in their excuses to DC, but let's not pretend it's just "pixels in a video game" or "words on a screen". There are real humans on both sides of the screen interacting with each other.

Post game chat is something different, I agree, but no one is being bullied by pixels in a video game, period. That is not what bullying is. And it makes actual situations of bullying seem less significant if people think not having fun playing DBD is bullying.

  • @kate_best_girl said:

I get it for survivors but not killer. Like idk if you're being relentlessly bullied and punished for bringing a fun build or trying a new killer you should be allowed to leave and go to the next game.

No one is being "bullied" by pixels in a video game.

Should I be allowed to DC without a penalty when a doctor slugs me when no one else is left and refuses to hook me? When they stand over me and just shake their heads at me and let me bleed out because I dared to play the game and be the last one alive? Should I be allowed to DC when my teammates body block me when I'm cleansing a totem, for instance, and we both get crows?

Don't act like killers are the only ones who have crappy games they'd like to move on from and are forced to stay in by the devs. At least you have End Game Collapse. Put on your big kid pants and open the gate.

  • I think she's underrated because most people just tunnel the person with the trap ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • It was very strange to have it right after the anniversary event. I was burned out. But I'm grateful they did it, because they don't have to. They seem to be more and more rare these days.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

Wow this game is feeling pretty boring right now

I suggest playing another game then.

  • Because of challenges, pretty regularly. If there's a hatch challenge, I've had games where all three of my teammates do nothing from the start because they plan on letting everyone die and getting hatch. I've had a game where a teammate threw a pallet to block me from running from the killer so they could get a flashlight save. Twice I've had a teammate who wouldn't pick me up when I was fully recovered so they could try to get a flashlight save. If someone brings a key in, you know they're going to quit as soon as they can and try to find hatch. I just had a game a few days ago where we noticed too late that a Claudette brought in a key, and with one gen to go and one teammate left, she did nothing while the killer just bounced back and forth between me and the one other person actually playing. So, as a solo queuer? Regularly.

  • I dunno, the fact that I got tombstoned out of a game in less than two minutes two days ago still feels pretty strong to me.

  • I've always been a totem toucher. Old Ruin was incredibly strong on console, probably due to the ######### optimization. And I really hate being touched once the entire game and losing to a bad killer because of NOED. So these totems won't change anything for me.
