Ugh, NO, you got it wrong AGAIN. It's about the fact that broken stuff can happen on both sides in general. These things can exist, not only survivors are the ones that get unbalanced OP stuff.
No one ever stated or even alluded to the fact hat only survivors are op.

Oh wow, you do it again. You do it freaking again.
Show me where I stated "killers need a nerf now, they are OP". Where?
What did you mean by "there arent things on the Killer side that need the nerf hammer from dev's?" Were you being dead serious with that again?

Yeah, they balance things that need to be balanced. Why can't you apply the same logic on your own statement? There aren't things that need a nerf hummer from the devs on the killer side? Use your brain for once. It goes BOTH ways.
Killer bugs are balanced the day they happen. What do you think on the killer side needs a nerf? Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is moris.

Well... A lot of killers have a hard time understanding that survivors are supposed to try and escape?
A survivor looping... Is toxic
A survivor using a flashlight... Is toxic...
A survivor bringing a toolbox... Is toxic...
Genrushing.. Is toxic... Palletstunning is toxic... Trying to save a team-mate is toxic
However camping, slugging and tunneling seems to be a legit and fine strategy, and none of you seems to have anything against that? Even though we all know it ruins the entire game for the person charged with it, and on top of that also equals a depip. Apparently its fine being a dick as long as you are on the killer-side, cause you are all just doing your job right?
How often are survivors reported for any of those things? I could write a book made up of reported messages from when I tunneled or slugged as a rank 17 killer when I first started. Theres constant posts on the forums of someone saying slugging and camping should be punished. How often do you see someone saying looping or gen rushing should be banned?
-
@Deadman316 said:
The same can be said for killers that complain about survivors escaping, that's their job. Should I make a post about that to counter yours?
Actually yeah. Go ahead. I rarely see killers complaining about the ways survivors escape so go ahead. I dont see second chance builds complained about as much as forever freddy and spirit so yes. Please make the thread.

The last update just removed a good chunk of strong loops, devs are about to rework the Clown. I agree, there are a lot of things that need polishing but give it some time.
Have you forgotten about the insta-heals nerf, toolboxes nerf, the BNP nerf, the gen times nerf, the skillcheck bonus nerf? The game is constantly changing, and things for both sides change. Yeah, killers could have got some more love but I think devs are working on it considering recent updates.
Buddy, I've seen oppressed killers on this forum. But your speech here sound like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjedLeVGcfE
Also, you're keeping my comment here as a bright example of an "entitled survivor"? Shesh, how rude of you.
Nothing you mentioned in this comment even makes a point. Wow. The dev's balances things that needed to be balanced? Omg they're so killer sided. And they're making the clown useful? Omg who will the rank 19s bully now?

You know it’s a competitive game mode, right? This isn’t like that cheesy F13 game where you’re literally meant to die and the odds of winning or escaping are meant to be poor. It’s not designed like that. Sure they’re not entitled to escaping but neither is the killer entitled to his kills. Nor is it fun to die for someone every game because you feel you’re entitled to simply because “the killer is supposed to kill you” that’s not a good reason. In my opinion it’s not about the killer doing his job, it’s the lack of being able to defend yourself. They nerf gen coop speed, they nerf loops, they nerf pallet numbers, they nerf everything but don’t touch killers, like ever. and it’s suprising people still sit here and complain about survivors feeling entitled 😂 it goes both ways.
That's not the point of my post at all. I'm saying the killer is supposed to kill you. No matter if its tunneling camping or slugging those are all allowed and it doesnt matter how your killed. And how dunce are you. Have you forgotten about the nurse rework, the legion rework, the ruin nerf, the constant nerfing of spirit. The entirety of haddonfield and the game as a map? Your acting as if this last update is the games first update. Killers we're constantly being nerfed last update with survivors constantly being buffed.

Okay honey, you think you can just come here with my piece of text and put it as if I was writing some entitled survivor main BS. Now, listen here. You may have read it as if I was cocky here and called all killers literal garbage for wanting to get 4 kills. What you didn't get that I was absolutely serious in this text and I was referring to myself in a rather rude manner. I'm calling MYSELF a Spirit who is thirsty for bloodpoints. Because that's the main reason I don't like letting the last survivor escape with a hatch. That's my issue that lead me to think "strange, I thought the escape chance was supposed to be bigger even without me acting like that".
It's really dumb of you to put it in this way considering that I play as killer the major part of my time because I hate the solo survivor cr@p i have to go through. Maybe it's my bad usage of vocabulary that caused you thinking that I was complaining about killers but I even wrote you that I was playing as killer a lot, I'm experience as a killer and I see the issue from both sides and give my opinion on it.
The devs put hatch with the big "it's always a chance to escape" announcement. But the chance was too small in some cases and as the result I can see that the community is fine with it, so whatever.
Now you took it as a whole new level of a thread and instead of calmly discussing it there you just posted my comment here? Holy moly, I'm not really a person who calls people too sensitive but you took it like it was some kind of insult for every single killer player.
I even wrote you that as a survivor I don't like being spared, it shows that I'm the last person to be a whiny little survivor who screams "the hatch must be a free escape". I've NEVER said so, I was only confused about how low the actual escape chance number was. I wouldn't mind making it bigger because right now I either get a team that I demolish and get a 4k, or a get a good team that survives and leaves me with 1-2 kills. It's the picture I get because of the matchmaking we have at the moment, surely I got negative feedback and it's okay, it makes me only happier that noone here us against the way I'm getting my EG kills.
I wrote you in my thread but you had just made your own thread, how cute. I hope now you understand everything because you see too much where there is nothing deep.
I 100% doubt you were referring to yourself as bloodpoint hungry considering you didnt even use that as a defense in your original reply. Even without your entitlement my point still stands. Theres too many people who complain about killers killing and the way they do it.

👁️👄👁️ I AM the one doing the whole thing? And because solo survivors so bad nowadays against non-M1-killers I get high killrates all the time? What's the deal with that???
Killing the last survivor with the whole process of chasing until there are only 2 gens left gives much more bloodpoints than killing all 3 at the beginning and loosing the forth survivor due to the hatch. Add BP offerings, BBQ, boom, you're kinda rich. It's kinda the whole in-game goal point of playing? Emblems go red as well after doing it, soooo...
Mate, if a killer tries to free me for nothing, I refuse to the point I fix all gens and let EGC kill me. I don't know why you're starting all that beef at me when I just pointed out a way of denying the hatch escape. Like, at this point it's just a thingy to start EGC, so the last survivor wouldn't stealth for the whole decade. That's it.
Pls go read the thread I just made chief

You're one of those people huh. Dont try and use that I get 4ks too often bs. You dont account for the entire community. And how does a killer killing the last survivor make them thirsty for blood points? Are you dumb. It's literally the killers job to kill you. You wouldn't let a killer kill you after a gen rush? How entitled can you be. Its their job. they aren't bloodpoint thirsty for doing the objective you dunce. The killer is supposed to kill you. Hes not supposed to scare you off gens. And hes not supposed to reward you if you're last survivor. Hes supposed to kill you.

You have the hatch aswell as the exit gates to escape. You literally have 3 opportunities to leave and your really complaining?

I played this map recently and I have to agree. Most of the pallets and vaults on this map are completely safe. I spent so much time in chase's because it was just constant pallet dropping.

But your a killer. Your not supposed to kill them. You just gotta scare them from doing gens. STOP PLAYING KILLER WRONG

Using noed dosent make you bad, but if you cant get kills without noed then you are a bad killer. Ruin was nerfed and to compensate toolboxes were nerfed, infintes we're deleted and maps we're much smaller.
I dont even use ds or bt.
And how often do you get gen rushed in 5 minutes? Gens usually take around 7 or 8 minutes to finish when i play giving me plenty of time to get a 3 or 4k.
You can use corrupt, pop or even new ruin to slow down gens
Even if someone does need noed for kills none of those help. Theres been times when I've been playing a freddy gen build with corrupt and discordance and I already had 2 gens pop up yellow 20 seconds in. New ruin gets worked through like nothing. It's not even funny how useless it is.

Even when I enjoy to sometimes use NOED in endgame build and it's fun, I still think that it's design is unhealthy at least in it's current form. Too much room for abuse of this perk for uninteractive playstyles and general poor implementation of counterplay that has insane amount of flaws when faceing solos.
Best would be to give it full rework into some new amazing effect that would still make it worth the name No one escapes death with less frustraing aspects. Other option would be to add more info to solo players on the state of totems so that the current couterplay is at least plausible insted of complete RNG hope your team didn't miss 1 super secret totem spot or that it doesn't spawn near hooked person/gates or that you find it under 2 min or your teammate dies etc. It has many other issues but I don't feel like dissecting them all here.
I hope for new mid-chapter having large amount of perk reworks and NOED beiing one of them, paired with other perks with potentially annoying design.
I agree. If the rework were to be an equal good to both sides then that would do some good for the game. Maybe another endgame update would be good for both sides. Relying on noed and adrenaline for the endgame on both sides gets tiresome

@BigBrainMegMain said:
I also believe NOED should stay in its state.
I believe it's in the middle between healthy and an unhealthy perk.
When a killer starts to learn and adapt, thus becoming a better killer and gaining his/her kills before the end game then he/she will chose a perk to replace it.
OR, the killer will forever rely on it, make it to end game and never learn a thing.
I agree. There's many other endgame perks that work better then noed. Freddy is a perfect example. Blood warden and remember me are wayyyyy better for endgame. The only thing noed actually counters in endgame is adrenaline

Man I'm really sad how many upvotes you got. Just shows how many ignorant people are on this forum. I'll put this simply so you and your ilk can understand it:
The DS timer doesn't activate when you are being tunneled. A survivor shouldn't be able to be tunneled through DS just because another survivor was unhooked while their DS was active, this suggestion makes no sense and is just an idea entitled killers crowd around like moths to a flame.
I'm multiple levels of confused on ######### the point of this comment was
-
This entire post makes 0 sense. Why would a survivor be rewarded for losing in the trial early on. Tunneling or not the killer killed you as quickly and efficiently as possible. The whole goal of the game. Why would a survivor be compensated for losing early on. The entire point in winning matches would be a joke and people would just throw marches to farm. Giving survivors extra points for doing actions in a chase while being tunneled would just encourage more toxic behavior from survivors which would in turn make more killers run Moris so you don't get anymore points after being tunneled. Survivors shouldn't be rewarded for failing. You wouldn't give a killer extra points for hooking survivors if gens are being done too fast? Failure is already rewarded enough with crutch perks. It shouldn't be rewarded even more as a game mechanic.

I hear this a lot, that Red Rank do not camp. I am a red rank survivor, currently a 4, and I will tell you from vast experience that there is a buttload of camping in red ranks. Its amount is less than rank 10 but certainly not rare by any stretch of the imagination. So you must get something from it or it would not be so prevalent.
I could literally go into a match and facecamp rn as proof. If you constantly facrcamp you will not pip.

I do think if you are camped to death you should at least safety pip. It doesnt take anything away from Killers, but it also doesn't take your rank because someone decided they didnt want you to play the game.
Actually killers lose a ton of points for camping. That's why camping isn't seen at high ranks. You literally cant pip for camping. You lose points for survivor proximity. I always see complaints about killers not having any sort of punishment for it and I'm just like bruh. Have you seen camp game emblem scores? It is literally impossible to pip from camping.

It wouldn't be problematic if you play around it. Don't tunnel. Pay attention to when a survivor was last hooked. Slug. Pressure the group and not just one survivor. Eat DS early if the opportunity presents itself to remove it from play.
Like seriously it's not that hard to beat DS.
Don't tunnel isn't an arguement to ds when 2 survivors can have ds at the exact same time. Also. Ds isn't meant to be anti tunnel so you cant just say don't tunnel. And don't forget ds can be ran with unbreakable so in some cases you either eat the ds and get body blocked to hell or you don't and they run off. Also to be bodyblocked

I cry about huntress because she has so many advantages that the other killers don't have. A ranged killer put in with hitboxes appropriate for all other killers and was always bad but now dedicated servers makes it even worse. At some point her lullaby was changed to be omnidirectional which is grossly unfair because you need a sense of direction with a ranged killer. How can you hide with a large omnidirectional lullaby? I am not asleep, I should be able to discern where the sound is coming from. Hillbilly's chainsaw is directional, why is Huntress special? Nurse's screech is also directional. And how are you dodging hatchets when you can literally turn the corner, be half way down the wall and still get hit? Pallets and windows? A good huntress cocks the hatchets and awaits for the vault animation so you are always hit. You managed to dodge 3 hatchets? She has 2 left to down you.
I'll admit. The hitboxes need tweaking. I'll give you that one. When dedicated servers actually work it takes no effort to dodge them. Almost every survivor runs spine chill now so the lullaby wont matter. Huntress is also terrible when it comes to gen pressure. Try to get a OoO jockey to walk hug. That's how I counter her.
-
@Sluzzy said:
Enduring shouldn't work against DS period. Enduring is for pallet stuns, the devs finally got the perk right. When DS was first changed, Enduring caused DS to not have any effect. If a killer is guilty of tunneling and they get DS'ed, they shouldn't have that stun minimized because they had a perk, that is just silly. I'm actually pretty humored by all the DS nerf posts lately. Guys, you seriously need to git gud at killer. You are embarrassing yourself.
90% of your posts are you crying about huntress. And your saying ds needs a buff? The only person embarassing themselves here is you. If you happen to dodge those hatches which is incredibly easy on most maps and even easier on inside maps. Huntress is a slow m1 killer. Even with locker loading perks and infantry belt getting away isn't hard at all. Iri head is a problem when it comes to new players. But if you have a lick of experience dodging hits or hiding the match is wayyy easier.

Rank 3 Survivor. Rank 5 Killer. I've been playing off-and-on for two years, several times a week for the last eight months.
My suggested mechanism: Hook timers do not deplete if the Killer is within a limited proximity to the hook. If it is second hook then the struggle animation does not activate until the Killer leaves the radius. If the Killer returns then the need to mash/mouse scroll/etc vanishes and the Survivor is suspended until the Killer leaves again.
I agree with most of what the previous comment said. Punishing the Killers would only lead to problems as already the Killer community feels victimized regardless of what changes are made in their favor (or how the statistics show that Survivors escape less than half of every game played). The solution would have to be nuanced and even then it would be reacted to in a total outrage... Which is why it will never, ever happen.
That said, I think that some sort of change to the hook that forced Killers to back up just a little bit in order to have the timer end would be fair method. I am not talking out of eye distance or like 20 yards away or anything. More just a little bit of a buffer.
That's a pretty bad idea. If a team rushes the hooks and you have to defend it it punishes you for actually trying to defend a hook rather then staring down a survivor. Survivors can very easily abuse this and just loop the killer near the hook until someone comes for a save.

Face camping doesnt give you an instant kill either tf? Face camping is easily countered by a hook rush and bt or ds. which 90% of survivors run

@Waffleyumboy said:
It's not really the intention of this thread to start a flame war or add to the echo chamber, so I would appreciate it if you wonderful people would keep your comments slightly constructive. That's all I ask.
On to the topic..."Waffle, wth? Why does NOED need a change, it's the only perk to counter genrushing!" NOED needs a change mostly because of two MAJOR reasons. I'm sure you've heard them a million times, so you'll stand hearing them a couple times more.
NOED Punishes Solo Queue Survivors
Swf know how many totems their teammates have cleansed, and rough estimations of totem locations can be called out as well. Without this information, cleansing dull totems is an unreliable strategy unless you use up some perk slots. Not only can you not keep track of where totems have already been cleansed to save time, but you also don't know whether or not your teammates will cleanse the totems they find. Removing such a key counterplay is definitely an unnecessary punishment.
NOED Rewards Camping
NOED is in the survivors' hands if the killer doesn't apply enough pressure. Camping is easy effective pressure, and is therefore easy NOED value. It is very to put the survivors in a position where they can't possibly do gens fast enough and do totems, meaning mileage from NOED is basically confirmed with this strategy.
Why This Needs a Change
The gap between swf and solos makes it extremely hard to balance the game. Will this patch make swf crush killers? Will this patch make killers crush solos? Reducing this gap through any possible means could go a long way for the health of the game. Camping is an unpleasant strategy and the non-interactive nature of it makes the game extremely boring for all of the players. Reducing the effectiveness of this strategy would be in the developer's best interests in order to not discourage players.
Feel free to bash me in the comments and call me lazy, I won't stop you nor am I sure that I can. If you agree NOED needs a change, I would love to hear your suggestions and perhaps the developers will find inspiration from the community towards making a change that would improve the experience of many players.
JUST THE FACTS (says opinion). On a serious note though. Just use small game or detectives hunch bro. So what if you need to use a perk slot for swf info. Killers use 3 perks the entire match.

Can confirm you're correct here. When using an ability/some perks, a lot of killers get what's known as the "Undetectable" status effect. This renders them immune from aura reading and surprsses their red stain and terror radius. Premonition and Spine Chill do, however, still work.

NOED now is the most annoying perk. I have played killer with NOED and in some cases, you could get 4k by literally not doing anything during the main match and slug survs during endgame.
As a survivor I am often running Small Game and cleansing 3 - 4 dull totems on average, but on some maps some totems are really difficult to find and cleanse.
but this is not enough in most cases. And on the large maps it is too difficult to find NOED tot during endgame.
I would like to request to keep NOED as a HEX totem, but make it visible during the main match as the other totems, like ruin or devour hope.
So that, survivors will be able to spot and cleanse noed totem during the match.
Make NOED like Devour Hope.
In the after match chat I see a lot how survs call killer "trash", "weak killer" and so on for NOED,
but I have never seen any trash talk regarding Devour Hope. If survivors have not find that bright totem during the match -- this is totally their fault.
So, making NOED totem visible and highlighted during the main math would also fix this social issue.
P.S.: My favorite meme with NOED is Nurse with Insidious, NOED and Warden staying on the other side of the gates entire match and waiting the gates to open. Then hit and hook first surv who opens the gate and active blood warden.
After that, slug and hook everyone else.
I am bad at playing Nurse and I literally do not do anything during the match and can get 1k - 4k during the end game.
You truly want an infinite que dont you

I don't know if it's a rank thing (I'm generally bouncing between purple and red) or location (middle of the US probably helps) but I've never ran into these double digit wait times so many talk about here.

Some try to do it but silly dance emotes dont really have the same effect as 4 man swf tbagging at every pallet and running OoO. Likewise the masterminds can play dirty but its not the same as a wraith or ghostface just sat around the hook hitting you down the moment you’re unhooked. Also no endgame chat and no link to players profiles so no wall of salt on your steam profile.
Its much less stressful. DBD was the only game where losing felt really bad because unlike most games you didnt just lose in DBD, you had a whole load of humiliation thrown in and then got told to die of cancer post game.
I've been paying resistance recently and I love it. No matter what side you lose on you can still get something like an A rank which is pretty good.

Except the Perk is poor in design and needs reworking.
It punishes Survivors for the wrong reasons, and feels weak for the Killer until active then proceeds to feel cheap.
It needs to be changed so Survivors who do side objectives aren’t heavily punished, but give Killer’s something in return whilst the Perk is inactive.
Yes because it is wrong to punish survivors for doing totems. A secondary objective.

unfair? What about the people that do what they’re supposed to do on these maps that have zero hiding and just get Mori’d? Where are these survivors that hold the game hostage? Imo it’s probably a protest to make you quit. Killers are safe to use their ebony Mori’s now that people can’t quit without a dc penalty. It’s hard to have fun as survivor when you get your game cut short by something that shouldn’t be there in the first place so why not hide. Why not make the killer suffer?
I was originally gonna reply with an actual point but judging from the amount of bait posts you have

Or we leave it as is
Killer cant dribble and survivor cant BS it as much
Survivors cant bs it? What about a free escape from the locker?

Even if DS wasn't reworked you would've been striked as it originally never had a timer and was always active. Besides, tunneling is going after someone when they've recently been unhooked. Even downing another survivor and going after the unhooked person is tunneling.
I didnt even try to hit either of them until the other team left. If every other person on the team is gone and the other person is still left that cant possibly count as tunneling.
